A Tribute To The Misfits
SPEAKER_00Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the ones who see the world differently, who don't fit neatly into boxes, and refuse to live by someone else's script. You can quote them, you can disagree with them, you can glorify them or vilify them, you can shake your head at their ideas or be inspired by their courage. But the one thing you cannot do is ignore them. Because they change things. They disrupt what's comfortable, they challenge what's normal, and they push the human race forward. Sometimes with loud revolutions, sometimes with quiet persistence that changes everything over time. They see possibility where others see limits. They dare to dream out loud when the world tells them to be silent. They take risks, they stumble, they rise again, and they keep going, not because it's easy, but because they can't imagine doing anything else. These are the ones who remind us that every great leap forward was once considered impossible. So here's to them the ones who won't sit down, won't be quiet, and won't stop until the world is different. Because they're the reason it will be.
How Two Believers First Met
SPEAKER_04And uh I heard uh somebody ringing the door, bell at the door, and there brother B. Rob was. And that's how we met. He came in and and we began to, first of all, realizing that the spirit was sweet as far as uh Christians was concerned, or and being being of like mind and like spirit in the Lord, and we got the testifying and sharing, and then uh he he wrote me a policy, and I I got the policy, and then now we're in fellowship, and now we're in uh union with Christ to do stuff for his kingdom.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. Well, tell us a little bit. Now you said uh when I when I came over the other day, you said you had an interesting weekend. So tell us a little bit about your weekend, and um and that kind of leads into what you do in your ministry. So tell tell the audience a little bit about that and how your weekend played out.
SPEAKER_04All right. Well,
Truck Stop Outreach And On-The-Spot Baptism
SPEAKER_04I have a uh part of my uh one facet of my ministry is the is outreach, it's evangelistic outreach. It is in its nature, in its entirety, it is all evangelistic. And uh you I listen to the Lord, I follow the leading of the Lord in his spirit uh in prayer and fasting. So uh God told me, he says, I want you to go out on the road. One reason why I had not been over the road evangelizing is because my vehicle is so undependable and costs so much to get work done on it, and I just couldn't go over the road. And so uh uh the Lord said, I want you to go out in the CSRA, uh, this area, and I want you to stay at the truck stops and sleep in the trailer like you normally do when you're on the road. And some of you, some people may know, some on this particular podcast, you may not know or have not seen any videos or anything of how I do, but I sleep in the trailer at night. I got air conditioning, I got a microwave, I got a TV, I got a cushion that I put on top of the baptism tank that's in the trailer. And so I'm prepared, I'm prepared at any moment to meet somebody out there on the road. And I was at the truck stop, and uh two souls gave their life to the Lord then, and I baptized them on the spot and give them a certificate, give them a certificate, literature, and some uh instructions, and and have them to come to the church where I'm at or go to another church where they choose and uh continue for discipleship. But it is evangelistic in its true nature from meeting people.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. So you have a baptism tank in your in your trailer?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's six foot long. It's what is what they call a feeding trough or a water trough. Uh, it's a it's a galvanized one, it's not a plastic one, uh, but uh it's six feet long, and it uh I I keep it two-thirds of the way full of water with chlorine in it. I carry the clothes for people to change inside the trailer to be baptizing baptism clothes and so that they don't walk away from the from the trailer. They don't walk away wet in their personal clothes. Right, right. And then uh, and then uh that's how we do it. And uh it's uh I met I met 756 souls doing this in the few years that I have been doing it.
SPEAKER_03Wow, and how long have you been doing it? That's what that's what I was gonna ask you next.
SPEAKER_04All right, the vision for this started over 30, almost 35 years ago. God gave me the vision, I wrote it, and then he didn't let me do it until around 20, around August of 2020, when COVID hit the nation. Uh God said, now I want you to go and get the equipment and go. And I'll I wasn't afraid of COVID or nothing. And um, but anyway, that's how long I've been doing it for six years now.
SPEAKER_03Wow, wow, man. That's that's a that's that's that's an amazing thing. That's a blessing, man. That really is.
SPEAKER_04Thank you, Lord.
SPEAKER_03756 souls in six years.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, those are bap, those are those that have been baptized. Right. But I do also I pray with people, and if they've been baptized already, some people want to rededicate in baptism. That is scriptural, and that is that can be done. Absolutely. Uh if I don't get to baptize them, then I just do what is called a POS, a prayer of salvation, and lead them in prayer to accept and receive the Lord and confess their sin.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely, man. That is incredible. That is incredible. Man, that's good stuff. So um you also you told me that um you've been you've been down for a minute. Um, you hadn't been able to go out for uh for a minute, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. Uh in fact, uh my last trip, my last mission trip, that's what they're called. My mission trip, I came home last year, uh July. And I had not been on the road since July. And then uh finally God told me to get out just a week ago and start going and being out, but not going traveling across the country. Because I go all over the United States.
SPEAKER_03Right, right. And you you said, I think you told me you were praying that um God would tell you a sign to where uh you can link up with some folks of like-mindedness and um and uh you signed up for our man camp. Yeah, yeah, yeah, man. So that's gonna be a good thing. That's gonna be a great thing. Um that that's that's the work, that's the work of the Lord, the hand of the Lord. Absolutely, my friend, my friend. And there there will be so many inviting uh spirits there that you'll be able to meet from all over the country, man, from all walks of life. It's gonna be a it's gonna be a blessing in itself. I I I cannot wait. I cannot wait to serve that week for sure. And it it was it was it was really yeah, it was really a blessing to meet you. Meet you. I mean it it I I just I love the way the Lord works, man. I really do.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. Uh
Mission And Training Through His Grace
SPEAKER_04you know, um uh it's it's if you if uh if I have time, I could probably uh give my mission statement and then the motto of our outreach.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, go ahead, my friend. Go ahead. We got yeah, we got time. We got we still got about 20 minutes, so we can get together.
SPEAKER_04Okay, the ministry is called His Grace Ministries International. All right. His Grace Ministries International, living the Christian faith, walking in God's grace. His grace ministry is a non-denominational, multicultural, interfaith ministry, a ministry which has found life in abiding in the grace of God. Our motto is God is good in all ways and all the time he is good. The vision of His Grace Ministries to reach out into the community, to teach, to preach, and to help people live in the grace of God here and in the world, to be an example of God's love, friendship, fellowship, and peace and joyful fellowship, a ministry of visiting the sick, the motherless, the fatherless, helping the elderly and the widows in their distress, and walking in Christ's love to those who have fallen short of God's grace, reaching out to those who are in bondage to drug addictions, alcohol addictions, and sexual impurities, even reaching out to those who are incarcerated, utilizing the word of God in faith, trusting Him in grace, demonstrating Him in hope, and patiently ministering as we look to the Lord's return to this earth, encouraging people to come together in prayer, praise, study, loving, giving, and worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ, making available to all an opportunity so they may be able to use their time, talent, money, and abilities and influence for the kingdom of God. And we have teaching courses, and uh, when I get students, people who are interested in furthering their studies, we have what is called uh the His Grace Ministries International Christian Ministry Teaching Institute. Understanding the Bible, keys to spiritual growth, the teachings of Jesus Christ, part one and two, also training for Christian service, systematic theology, spiritual literacy, and the prayer life of the believer, and the prayer of abundant favor. These are the lessons that I teach people, it's a part of the uh curriculum and itinerary that I use to try to educate. And we got breaking the bonds of addiction, doing it the Bible way.
SPEAKER_03Right. That's that's that's an amazing blessing, my brother. That is an amazing blessing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, part of it is giving out such as yourself. If you are versed in the scriptures, if you're a faithful servant and you're working for the Lord already, and you're in ministry, but you do not have any kind of credentials. Uh, we have a uh uh ministerial fellowship alliance where I end up having to uh give courses to some people, and then they when they finish them, I give them a ministry license. And it only serves to help them in their ministry work because you have to be able to be somebody must recognize you because you just can't go and go into churches and places and just start preaching. Well, people watch your life, and then when they see that you're living the life of Christ in you, and then you are uh have a certificate, then they have much more confidence in you.
SPEAKER_03Yep. Absolutely. I think the main thing is is is showing, you know, living the life and showing people. That's that's that's kind of what I'm about. That's kind of what uh you know, I uh um I mean I don't have a theology degree, but I try to uh be that light on the hill, you know. I try to be that uh that spark of uh positive energy of Jesus Christ, you know. Just be be Him, you know, try to be be like Him as best I can, you know. We all fall short. We all fall short, but all we can do is keep trying and God give us another day and be thankful and Hallelujah. Yeah, yeah. You're right, brother. Absolutely. Well, tell tell the um audience how how old are you, Michael? How old are you?
SPEAKER_04Well, I I'm 67 now. Awesome, awesome, and uh, and uh I'm in uh pro uh I'm reason I'm in good reasonable good health and strength, and uh I have some issues, but uh nothing that will keep me from uh living uh wholesome and full life and doing what God has ordained for me under the mandate that He's given me. And uh like that that trailer, that trailer has work. Uh, you know, you be out there all day long, you talking to a whole lot of people and praying with folk, and and uh everybody, I try to, I try to as many people as I can contact. I don't bother people, I don't rush them down, I don't uh people are in their life, they if they're somewhere like a truck stop or uh Walmart or somewhere, I've baptized people at Walmart. I I have baptized people in parking lots and gas stations and Dollar General and the family family dollar all over all over. It's about going, it's about taking the message out. And um, when I do that, and when God doing the work in me, he's him doing it. Um so uh it's just a just a wonderful joy to see people accept Christ, speak with their mouths, their faith, and then follow through in baptism like they did in the first century.
SPEAKER_03Right, right. That's that's awesome. It really is.
Stories Of Going Where God Leads
SPEAKER_03So um you just go off of what God tells you, right? You like tell us, you told me a couple times when you just went to one city and God told you to take a ride.
SPEAKER_04Well, give us some stories, man.
SPEAKER_03Give us some stories.
SPEAKER_04He he all right, I'll give you about three, maybe, so I don't want to hold too much time. Okay, first of all, all right, I'm gonna give you an example. Uh I left one truck stop, and God said, go down the road to the next truck stop. So I look at the map or I look at the truck stop guide that I got that tells you where they're at. It is not just truck drivers, it's people who are traveling, people who are homeless, people who are uh are are are in motion, they they're in transit, they're moving. Busy areas where people shop and do everything. But the the thing is, God speaks, and you have to be listening, so therefore, I can't have no distractions. So God said, I will lead you and guide you where I want you to go, and you will intersect and encounter people. And I have three questions that I ask people. The first thing is I say, Do you know the Lord? Have you given your life to him? And as an adult believer, have you been baptized in Jesus' name for the forgiveness of your sin? Based on those three questions, it tells me their spiritual condition, the level of understanding and life has been that they have accepted or have not accepted Christ. So God told me, He says, You leave this place, go to the next one, and I'll go. When I get there, the moment I park and come in and park, I meet the uh the uh service, the manager. And the manager, I began talking to him and ended up praying with him and praying for him. He told me, he says, I've never been baptized. I said, Well, you can do that right now. He said, Oh, I can't. I got to do it, get on my break first, or I have to go, I have to do it another day. I said, No, how much time do you have on your break? He said, One half hour. I said, In half in a half hour, I'll have you baptized. And I opened up the trailer and show him. And he jumped up and, like, wow, I can do this now. This is the manager of the truck stop now. And I baptized him right there by God's instructions to come to the next truck stop. Then when I get done, God told me, He said, Now I want you to go to this town that you're going to and go to the park. Find a park. And I come into town right after you get off the highway, four blocks down the road, down the street, there's a park right there. There was a lady there, and she had been clean from smoke and crack for about maybe two weeks. And she decided, she decided after I ministered the word to her and told her the salvation message, and gave her prayer, uh, and and she I and she said, I want to give my life to Christ, I want to be baptized. And she I baptized her right then and there at the park. Now that's too right there. It has happened many, many times where as God said to go, and when I be obedient and go, and don't don't hinder, don't procrastinate, don't put it off, just follow God's direction. Folk getting saved.
SPEAKER_03Yep, man, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_04So that praise the Lord. That's how that's how it goes. I wouldn't give you three, then I gave you two.
SPEAKER_03And it ain't crazy, it's amazing. That's what it is. It's amazing. That's right. That is wild. That's it's it's that's that's a that's a blessing. Man, it was so negative, it was it was awesome to meet you. Like, give me an example. I had one yesterday. Um give you guys an example of what he's talking about. I had one yesterday. I had a I had a not so good day, you know, the first part of the day, about four o'clock, I was like ready to quit. I was ready to go home. You know, I hadn't done any policies, I hadn't really talked to a lot of people. Um and uh I I was like, I saw apartment complex and I walked up and I was like, as I was walking to that door, I said, I'm gonna try one more time. As I was walking to that door, I got this little text message, I got this Bible widget on my phone. And then um, I got this little text message, right? And the text message said it was let me pull it up. It was actually uh it was Matthew 9.29. It says, Because of your faith, it will happen. I I knocked that door and wrote a policy on everybody in that house. Five policies.
SPEAKER_04Boom. And look at God. I'm telling you, man, God wants to use everything that we, everything that we do, everything we're involved in, everything that's going on, every little thing and every medium thing and every great thing. He wants to be involved in it. But but we get so busy of our own agenda, our own project, our own plans, and our own purposes that we cannot hear him or even follow his lead. And then another thing is the battle between the enemy, Satan, the devil, and his fallen angels, the battle that occurs in our minds because he is trying to keep us distracted. Yeah, especially, especially if you're willing to let your body be used by God.
SPEAKER_03Yep. Absolutely, and you gotta give him thanks.
SPEAKER_04That's right.
SPEAKER_03He's gotta get the glory. That's the difference between a testimony and a uh biography. A biography is a selfish story of yourself. A testimony is how God used you for his glory. For his glory. Yep, yep. And I'm not saying a biography is a Bad. I'm not Nikita's gonna kill me because he's got a biography, but I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_04No, no, ain't nothing wrong with biography. No, it's the perspective in which you place it.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. And he gives God all the glory in that biography. So, you know, you gotta go there. Yep. So he's doing exactly what I'm talking about. He's basically giving giving his testimony in a biography book.
SPEAKER_04So yeah.
Why Evangelism Stays The Main Focus
SPEAKER_04Well, I'm I'm I'm I'm uh I've been called a modern-day John the Baptist.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I was gonna say that's basically what you're doing, brother. You that's basically what you're doing.
SPEAKER_04Now, uh it the five-fold ministry of the fivefold ministry gifts, which is apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher. Those are called the five-fold ministry gifts, those are governmental gifts that were given to the body of Christ, the church. Right. Okay. Now, Corinthians have there's there's 12 more gifts, and then there's another nine gifts. But those gifts have been given to the whole body. But when you work in, when you're actually walking in the five-fold ministry gifts, you as evangelists, you are always outward going, you are always forward momentum. Doing as Jesus says, becoming fishers of men. The whole purpose and plan of God's salvation is to fish catch people. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. That's all that God is, that's all that God is interested in. He's not interested in nothing else but but bringing people into his kingdom because he's coming to judge it, judge the world, judge every person, and judge every deed, whether it be good or evil. He is coming to deal with sin and the father of sin, which is Satan the devil. So we he's trying to, God ain't trying to, he's saving souls. And right now, there is an awakening happening in the world. Yep. There is a spiritual revival awakening folks' souls, and they're personally coming to the place of saying, I gotta do something about my life. I gotta give my life to the Lord. And it don't take a whole lot of, it don't take no Bible thumping on them, it don't take no brow beating with the word of God. What it takes is somebody who's willing to stop for a minute in their day. It could be just walking past the person saying, How are you doing today? Praise the Lord. And when the person responds to that, give the witness and testimony. And I teach people how to do that within 45 seconds, how you can give a witness and testimony with very few words. And then you'll understand, but you've got to be willing to be used by the Lord and open up your mouth and not be afraid and not be withdrawn. Because Jesus said that each and every person, each and every say, saved person, Christian, is a living witness and testimony. So we have to be willing to give that witness, or else the Lord said, If you if you if you deny me in the presence of men, I will deny you in the presence of God and the angels.
SPEAKER_03Yup. That ain't no joke. Huh? I said, that ain't no joke.
SPEAKER_04Amen.
SPEAKER_03That's no joke, man.
SPEAKER_04That's that's you're a mighty man of valor.
SPEAKER_03Man, I I just can't believe that God has given me the opportunity to go out and witness people. I think it's an amazing thing. I mean, I've been praying about something, and I never thought it would have been insurance, life insurance, but that's the only thing he gave me when I prayed and prayed and prayed out interviews for about ten different places. And that was the only uh door that he he opened, and I and I I obeyed and now it's like wow, the season of harvest, and I get to witness the people at the same time. It's an amazing thing, brother. Well, man, we we we running out of time, so I would like, man, Mr. Hunter, if you would, if you would pray, pray a blessing over the podcast, you know, um uh over our audience, uh pray a blessing of WesterCon. Just that would be amazing, my friend.
Prayer Over Listeners And The Road Ahead
SPEAKER_04Okay, all right, Father God, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we come before your presence. First of all, thanking you for all your benefits and blessings. Thanking you, Father, for the life, health, and strength that you give us. Thanking you, Father, for the purpose in which you have given us to live our lives for glorifying you, to give you honor, praise, and glory. We thank you, Father, for all the listeners, God, and that something was said today, tonight, that will bless the listeners, God, and the followers of this particular pod, this casting. Lord, that Lord, and maybe again I can come on, God, and and be a good part again. But I thank you for B-rob right now and his faithfulness. I thank you that you blessed him today to get the cast done. But you blessed him today and yesterday, Lord, with the with the policies he wrote. You're using him and his witness and testimony for you as he goes to minister and serve people with these policies, but at the same time, the Holy Spirit. So, Lord, we thank you. We ask that you bless his family, friends, and loved ones. We ask that you bless man camp that is coming up and bless all the men and all the people that are going to be involved with man camp. And we ask God that you would help us, oh Lord, and cause our angels to continue to fight for us and be around us, guarding us and keeping us. Because we're at war. But Lord, you are fighting the battle for us. All we have to do, the scripture says, having done all to do, all to do, stand. And having having done all to stand, stand therefore, having our loins girded about with truth. And you seek as such to worship you in spirit and in truth. We give you the honor, we give you the glory, and we confess to you, Lord, as our you are our Savior. We confess our sins, ask that you wash us and cover us with the blood for sins known, unknown, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, in the matchless powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
unknownHallelujah.
SPEAKER_04Glory to God.
SPEAKER_03Yes, and we also pray for Mr. Hunter's Mr. Hunter's evangelism, his mission. Lord, we just we just lift you up, lift Mr. Hunter up today to you, Lord, and that you keep him, you keep him, and and and he abides in you and stays binded in the blood of Christ, Lord. Amen. It's in Jesus' holy, heavenly name we pray. Amen and hallelujah.
SPEAKER_04Amen. Hallelujah. Glory to God. God will make a way. And uh line it up quite a bit.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, he's getting the band back together, the army, he's assembling the army. I honestly believe that. I honestly believe that. There's too many coincidences, and I don't believe in coincidences. Nakida told me one time that coincidences are merely God showing up anonymously.
SPEAKER_04That's right.
SPEAKER_03And I was like, Yeah, praise the Lord. Amen. All right, my man. Well, I'm gonna get off. I'm I'm I'm tired today. I don't have the same type of energy. I've been out in the sun working all day, so walking up.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I know how that feels when you're out there.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I was in Lincoln all day, so you know that it's the country, so you you gotta walk a little bit further than the uh in Lincolnton? Yeah, yeah. But I I love it. It's peaceful out there, man. I love it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. But um I uh after the after you close the cast, I want to talk with you.
SPEAKER_03All right, that'll work. Um, I'll have to call you right back because it'll automatically hang up, but I'll call you right back, all right? Okay, all right, my man. Thank you, my brother. I love you.
SPEAKER_04Thank you for inviting me and interviewing me.
SPEAKER_03Not a problem. God bless you, my friend.
SPEAKER_04God bless you too. Okay.
