We share an original worship song and then open Isaiah 43 as a lifeline for anyone walking through fear, pressure, and uncertainty. We focus on God’s personal claim over our lives and why His presence matters more than the storm ending.
• why “You are mine” reshapes identity and breaks shame
• how God leads with relationship before conduct
• why trials are “when” not “if”
• waters and fire as pictures of suffering and purification
• why God sustaining you is the greater miracle
• testimony as witness and why your story matters
• “a new thing” and moving forward from the past
• forgiveness, redemption, and the heart of God
• three truths to hold onto when fear hits

And if you like what you heard, please um share the podcast. Sharing is caring. Don't forget www.forchristministry.com. That's the website.

Why Isaiah 43 Hits Home

SPEAKER_02

I don't know how to explain it, it just happens. Anyway today we're gonna be talking about uh Isaiah 43, and um I think I'm gonna call that song You Are. And I think we're gonna call this episode You Are Mine because when you dive into Isaiah 43, it's one of the most encouraging chapters in in the scripture in Bible period. Um it was spoken to Israel during a time when they would face judgment, when they would face exile, when they would face uncertainty, when they would even face loss. Yet in the middle of those harsh realities, God speaks words of hope. And what did I say hope stands for? Hold on, pain ends. In Isaiah 43:1, it the chapter starts off,

Called By Name You Are Mine

SPEAKER_02

fear not, for I have redeemed thee. I have called thee by name, you are mine. You see, many people today are walking through a lot of struggles, uncertainties. Some people are dealing with financial pressure, some people have relationship struggles, some people have health issues, and some people just battle demons spiritually. You see, Isaiah 43 reminds us as believers that our circumstances do not change God's ownership of us as believers. The message here is simple. God knows you, God is with you, and God is not done with you. If you look, you are called by name, and it says it. You see, notice how God begins the chapter. He doesn't start by addressing Israel's failures. He starts by reminding them of his relationship to them. I created you, I formed you, I redeemed you, I called you. You see, the author points to his covenant before he points to their conduct. Many believers struggle because they define themselves by their sins or their mistakes. But you see, the God of God defines his people differently. And if you look at scripture throughout the whole Bible, names matter. You remember God called Abraham, God called Moses, God called Samuel, and Yeshua called every single one of his disciples. And in John chapter ten, Yeshua says, He calleth his own sheep by name. What does that mean? What does that tell us? It tells us that God's relationship with us is personal. It's not generic, it's not distant. Yet it's personal. So we have to remember when the fear comes, we have to remember who we belong to before focusing on who we are facing. We are a child of the utmost high. We are a descendant of the divine. When fear comes, we have to remember who we belong to, who we are, before we focus on that false evidence appearing real.

When Waters And Fire Come

SPEAKER_02

Like you might pass through some rough waters. You might see some storms. No. It says when, which means you will. But he also reminds you and reminds them that I will be there. You see, trials and tribulations are not optional in this life. A pastor once told me, you're either coming out of a trial or you're going into a trial as a Christian. Because they're not optional. It's not an if, but a when. You see, waters and rivers and storms represent situations that are bigger than our ability. Fire represents situations. It represents suffering. It represents testing. And it also represents purification. But God doesn't promise a life absent of trouble. That's where people get it twisted. The trouble comes. God promises his presence in the trouble. So a lot of people focus on the wrong thing. A lot of people ask questions like, Why didn't God keep me from the storm? Why didn't God keep this from happening? Why did he allow bad things to happen? Those are selfish questions. Those are questions of ego. I want you to think about something. God's greater miracle is not removing the storm, it's sustaining you through and in the storm. How about that? How about that? You remember it said, but did you die? No. Because God was with you and he made you stronger. And now look at you. You're ready for the next bigger storm. Because God's greatest miracle is not removing the storm, but it's sustaining you through the storm. I mean, think about history. Look at the Bible. Noah survived the storm. Moses crossed the sea. Daniel survived the lions. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego walked through the fire. It wasn't that the trial was not there. It was that God was faithful in the middle of the trial. So your current struggle doesn't have evidence that God abandoned you. It should be evidence that he never left. Depending on your faith.

Your Witness And Your Story

SPEAKER_02

Now let's jump down to uh verses 10 through 13. You are why you are my witness, says the Lord. Israel was called to testify about who God was. And if you look at that, the same exact principle applies today. People often encounter God through testimony of ordinary people, ordinary believers, because your story matters. You were called by name. You are owned by the Most High. Whatever the case is, he may have broke your addiction, he may have restored your marriage, whatever peace he gave you, whatever prayer he answered. That should be a story, inviting someone else into faith. Notice what God says: Before me there is no God formed, neither shall there be after me. That's scripture. It is written. God is simply reminding his people that he alone saves. He alone. Not culture. Culture changes, not governments. Governments change, not economies. Economies get swept up and they change. But you see, God, the author, does not change. You see, the difference between a biography and a testimony is a biography tells the story of one man's account. A testimony is it's your story. But it's a story about how faithful to God you were and how God, how strong God made you through the trials and tribulations. So it's his story. You're the vessel, you're the fruit, you're the leaf, you're the tree, rooted in good soil.

God Does A New Thing

SPEAKER_02

If you look at verses eighteen and nineteen, behold, I will do a new thing. This might be one of the most famous sections of the chapter. Don't remember the former things. Behold, I will do a new thing. You see, God already performed great miracles, the Exodus, the Red Sea, the wilderness provision. Yet God says, don't become so focused on what I did that you miss what I am doing now. I say it all the time in my sales meetings. What got you to today will not get you to tomorrow. Because some people, some believers, some everybody get focused living in yesterday's victories. They get stuck in the failures, the victories, everything from the past, the loop. But you see, God is calling us to move forward. God says, I will make a way in the wilderness. He says, He will make rivers in the desert. Do you understand what that means? Do you understand what a wilderness is? There's no direction in a wilderness. It's wild. A desert does not have provision. It's dead. You see, God specializes in creating what does not naturally exist. Where there seems no path, he makes one. Where there seems to be no resources, he provides.

Mercy That Blots Out Sin

SPEAKER_02

Verse twenty two. That's where God confronts Israel's sin. He's saying, I'm blotting out your transgressions for my own sake and will not remember thy sins. And what does that do? That points us to the heart of God. Now don't get it twisted. God is holy and sin matters. But here is where God provides redemption. Here is where the fulfillment of Yeshua for believers reaches this point. Because through his sacrifice, forgiveness becomes available. Not because we earned it, not because we deserved it. Because the Lord knows we don't. But because God is a God of promise, he keeps his promise, and he is a God of mercy. That's why the chapter begins with fear not. And it ends with God's grace and promise of forgiveness. You

Three Truths That Never Change

SPEAKER_02

see, Isaiah forty-three leaves us with three real truths, facts. Three things that will never change, no matter what you think, no matter what you say, no matter how your opinion, no matter how much your gatekeeper allows the evil one to enter your mind and tell you lies. But the three truths is number one, God knows your name. He created you. He knows your name. Number two, when you stand in the fire, God is right there with you. When you stand in the trials and tribulations, God is with you. Remember? Not if, but when. Not if, but when. And guys, number three and the most important thing of all, you might not see or understand what God is doing. But I can promise you, God is doing a new thing, and he is not done with you. So whatever you're facing today, hear the words God spoke through Isaiah. Fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name. You are mine.

Prayer For Trust And Strength

SPEAKER_02

Let's go to the Lord in prayer. Dear Father, dear Papa, we just thank you. We thank you for knowing our name, remembering us. We thank you for walking with us through every season. Lord, please just help us trust you in deep waters like we do in the shallow. Lord, please help us trust you in the fire and in the wilderness of this life. Lord, please lighten our load, open our eyes where the scales fall off, so that we may see the new things that you are doing through us, Lord. Lord, please strengthen our faith, deepen our trust in you, and draw us closer to you. Through the blood of Jesus Christ, in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, it's in Yeshua we pray. Amen and hallelujah.
