A Salute To The Misfits
SPEAKER_00Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the ones who see the world differently, who don't fit neatly into boxes, and refuse to live by someone else's script. You can quote them, you can disagree with them, you can glorify them or vilify them, you can shake your head at their ideas or be inspired by their courage. But the one thing you cannot do is ignore them. Because they change things. They disrupt what's comfortable, they challenge what's normal, and they push the human race forward. Sometimes with loud revolutions, sometimes with quiet persistence that changes everything over time. They see possibility where others see limits. They dare to dream out loud when the world tells them to be silent. They take risks, they stumble, they rise again, and they keep going. Not because it's easy, but because they can't imagine doing anything else. These are the ones who remind us that every great leap forward was once considered impossible. So here's to them: the ones who won't sit down, won't be quiet, and won't stop until the world is different. Because they're the reason it will be.
Rolling The Giveaway Forward
SPEAKER_02So we're gonna do another one. We're just gonna roll that $200 into the next one and um give away $300 next time or $400. We'll see what happens, and um we'll keep a tab on that. But um we're gonna keep trying and keep rolling. I know nobody likes to answer their phone, but you never know, right? I answer it, and then as soon as I hear AI, I just hang up. But if I call you, you're not gonna hear AI. You're gonna hear, hey, my name's B Rob, and you're on the Food for Thought Faith Cast. And it's your lucky day. You just got a blessing. But we're gonna we're gonna keep, we'll we'll try it again. Um today's a good day.
Wealth Without Wisdom Falls Apart
SPEAKER_02Today's a good day. Got a little Father's Day story for you. Um I know Father's Day was Sunday, but I didn't do a podcast on Sunday. So I'm still I'm gonna tell you a Father's Day story. Um a father spent forty years building a business, a corporation. He died. His children inherited millions. Did you know within ten years of inheriting those millions and that father dying, the company was gone, the money was gone, the family was divided. You may be wondering why, B-rob. You want to know why? Because he left them wealth and not wisdom. He left them assets. So that next generation had assets, but they had no character. You see, character is the inheritance that protects every other inheritance. Money is nothing without righteousness. If you look at the story of Abraham in the book of Jubilees, he gives a it gives a fascinating picture of Abraham near the end of his life. He gathers all his children and grandkids. He doesn't he doesn't begin with dividing up lands and deeds and that sort of thing. He begins with a covenant. He instructs them. He gives them instructions. Love your God, walk in righteousness, execute justice, and reject idols. You see, Abraham understood something that every father must face. Your children are gonna go on one day to live in a world where you are no longer present to help and guide them. So the question becomes, and it's a real question. What voice are they gonna hear when yours is silent? Will they hear the voice of this world? Or will they hear the wisdom of the father? There's an old Ethiopian proverb that says, the child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth. I want you to think about that. Children are formed by what they receive. So Abraham embraced that next generation with instruction and blessing, not just wealth. But there are so many, so many children out there starving for something more than just material things and things of this world. Things like affirmation, things like direction, things like identity, how to spot and recognize a blessing, how not to destroy a blessing because of our selfishness. These very things shape our souls to the very core. You see, honor's not demanded, it's cultivated. It's a good thing.
A Hospital Storm And A New Path
SPEAKER_02Give you a little story. You remember I was in the hospital about six months ago. Seven months ago. And it was a storm. And I thought the time was ticking. I didn't know if I was gonna be. I didn't know what I was gonna do. I had just started a new job and I was doing good with leave filter. But guess what? It's 1099 business, and they don't care. If you're not working, then you don't get no leads. So I didn't work for like four months. I was obedient. I didn't get hired back in the car business when I tried. I didn't really want to go back in the car business. I didn't really want to go back into finance. But I got handed an opportunity, and I know it was a godsend opportunity because it seemed like a scam, but um, here I am two and a half months in, and I've already gotten tied for agent of the week nationally on the national sales call with our group. That's God. That's God. I want to play y'all a clip. Um, they asked me to speak on the sales call Monday morning. They didn't know they was getting B Rob from the Food for Thought Fade cast. They thought I was just a new broker, a new hire. I don't think they knew the anointing that was coming to them. And I'm I'm this is all God. It's all God. I'm just telling you. It's all God. So don't get it twisted. It's all God. I'm just being obedient. I'm a vessel. I know now why I was in the car business for 27 years. I know this. It was so I can become the leader I need to be today to just be the testimony that God has provided. Because it's his story. I'm just the person in it. But anyway, I'm gonna play you this clip from the Monday um sales call. I thought it was kind of neat because when I finished speaking, it was there was silence. I could have gone on for 30 more minutes, but I think um the timing was perfect. And um I prayed for the spirit to give me the words before the call. They don't just call, they text you and let you know and give you the opportunity. So if you don't want to speak, you don't have to. But anyway, y'all check this out.
Sales Call Clip And Practical Advice
SPEAKER_02Um roll the clip. Yeah, uh, first. Keith was uh, I don't know if he was making fun of the hair and the dew or whatever, but the picture, but check this out.
SPEAKER_04Are you gonna put yourself on here, Brian?
SPEAKER_02I'm here, my friend. You got me?
SPEAKER_04See the picture there?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's me. Hey, hey, whatever whatever, whatever the people like. Whatever the people like.
SPEAKER_04Whatever goes, they love it. Uh live life. What do you want to ask? What are some finger songs or let's go?
SPEAKER_02I think um, I think it was a little bit of everything. I had some scheduled appointments. Just looking at every opportunity, I I am so blessed. First and foremost, I want to give I want to congratulate everybody else that's speaking on the call. Um, great job to those guys. You guys are doing amazing. Um, second, I just want to I just want to thank God because uh every day I wake up and it's a blessing. And and what you said earlier about being in the field and praying, I I just pray that God brings somebody in my personal space that I can help or I can bless today. Um and every day He does. And um and it's it's an amazing opportunity that's been given to me. For 30 years, I sat in an office selling products that nobody wanted, warranties on cars, gap insurance, you know, stuff that people when they walked into my office, they knew they cringe because they knew their payment was about to go up. Now I get to go out every day wherever I want to with an iPad and and basically bless people and get paid doing it. It's an amazing thing. Um, but I think the thing that switched off in my head uh when I went to conference um a couple a month ago back in Atlanta with that Blythe hosted, was was get with your coach. I've been reading um the Lost Gospels of Thomas, the Gnostic Gospels, and and in there, there's one that just slaps me upside the head. It says, if two make peace in their one house, now keep in mind their one house can be their work relationship, their work marriage, it can be their personal marriage, it can be their best friend, whatever relationship that may be. But if two can make one, they can say with faith, move mountain, and that mountain will move. So you, if you do not have a relationship with your teacher, your upline, the person helping you, and you're new in this business, shame on you. Because two brains are better than one. We've always said that in the car business, we've always said that in the sales world. And it's just discipline because another thing is another good gospel is if you you can have you can have all the knowledge in the world, you can have all the skill in the world, but if you don't know yourself, you lack everything. So that's that's the main thing. Get up in the morning, know yourself, get a routine, and the rest of the day will follow as long as you oh are obedient to what the helper, the spirit does for you that day. Lord, bring me somebody. Next thing you know, I'm at the library helping an old lady, and after I help her, I'm selling her a policy, and then I'm covering all her grandkids. You know, and then that one stop is five to seven apps, you know, and and the people that you've done business with in your past, whether it be serving at a bar, whether it be playing uh being a musician, whether it be selling cars, whatever your past is, look back and the people that you have served and and you guys enjoyed that that interaction, drip on them. Tell them what you're doing now because your job don't just stop and start like nine to five. I mean, this this is a business opportunity. It's it's an amazing thing. And I I thank God every morning I wake up that he gave this opportunity to me because I could be back in the car business. I thank God that those two interviews that I had to go back in the car business, they did not hire me. But Jordan called me and gave me this big this opportunity. And I am so thankful that I was obedient to God because he gave me that opportunity because I prayed for it. And now every day I pray to help somebody and he brings me multiple, multiple, multiple blessings. It's an amazing thing, it's an easy thing.
SPEAKER_03Just be obedient, and that's all I've got, guys.
Get Right And Final Blessing
SPEAKER_03That's a good word, man.
SPEAKER_02He gave us Did I give him the secret sauce? Um, that's good stuff. That was the national sales call. Um I don't I could have gone on forever, and um I don't know why, but God's placed me there, and he's gonna get all the recognition, he's gonna get all the success, he's gonna get all the glory, and they're all gonna see. And um that's just I owe everything to him. So, guys, if you don't have a relationship with Christ today, you need to get right. And um we'll try we'll up the ante and try to give away some money next week. I love you guys. God loves you guys, and don't forget get right, get in the word.
