What if you could brainstorm a full podcast series, clarify your brand messaging and map out your next launch, all in under an hour. You absolutely can, and in this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on how I use AI as my personal podcasting assistant, just bear with me. This isn't going to have a lot of tech talk, but it's a real look at how I'm saving time, staying creative and growing my impact with the help of a couple AI tools that I actually use a lot and gets me and my brand going. If you've ever wished for a co host who never sleeps, a copywriter who knows your voice, or a content coach who keeps you on track, then this episode is for you. Welcome to podcast with her, where we publish value driven podcast episodes every week together, and we have fun and learn so much while we do it. Hi, I'm Lexi, and my mission is to teach entrepreneurs how to create an impactful podcast and establish authority in their professional fields. That is what podcast with her is here to help you do, speak confidently, publish consistently, and create value with your voice. So here is your accountability check. Where are you on your podcast journey? If you're right in the beginning, that's great. The first three episodes are here to help you get started already making episodes perfect. The rest is to keep you motivated to keep going. In this episode, we are going to talk about AI and how it can absolutely save you time as a podcasting assistant. This episode is for the DIY queens out there who are managing their content creation on your own. There are a couple of AI tools I use consistently that save me hours and my podcasting game each week using AI has changed the way I create and manage my podcasts, and I want to show you exactly how you do not have to do it all alone. You can build yourself a GPT to act as your assistant, and I'll share one more resource that I've talked about before. So what is a GPT? My brand design teacher first encouraged the use of building different gpts for each brand. He originally encouraged us to get the premium chat GPT. It's like 20 bucks a month. And as a brand designer and as someone who creates podcast episodes consistently, this has been a game changer. If you are an entrepreneur, I absolutely encourage you to invest in your time and tools that will help you save time. So I designed a GPT called podcast with her, and this is an AI assistant that is trained to align with my brand voice, my goals and my audience. What my brand design teacher explained is that he built different gpts for each brand that he's he works with so that he can import the design brief that they've given him. You can import their website. You can import, you know, content that really speaks to their brand voice, and then train your GPT to consistently use that brand voice going forward. So different brands have different ways that they communicate with their audience. Like a really high level brand that might be bold or like a little bit secretive, will have a different messaging than a brand that's like, really down to earth. I'm thinking like Audi versus the app headspace, like their brand messaging is so different. So if you had different chat gpts For each of these, they would sound completely different. Whenever you would ask it to refine this content, or give me examples of five different social posts that I could put up this week. So I have one for podcast with her that I use in a lot of different ways, and this one specifically is. Designed to support podcasters and entrepreneurs. It's not robot sounding or overwhelming. I have asked it to be bold and positive and action driven, so it gives me lots of action steps to follow. It's deeply supportive and very strategic. So here are five ways I use AI in my podcasting process. Number one, strategic co creation. When I started out, I I just like mad, typed in what I wanted my listeners to get out of this podcast and any episodes that they listen to from podcasts with her. And I asked it to design a an intro series around this, to get these podcasters started, or to get the entrepreneurs who don't have a podcast started, and that is how I built the first three episodes of this podcast by actually typing into my chat how I built my podcast and then asking it to give me more action steps that I might have missed as I went through starting my own podcast once again, I found that all of these steps were accurate, and that's how I made the worksheet and the episodes so in line with each other, and for any entrepreneur who's getting Started in podcasting, those three episodes are so important because they are the distilled version of how I have posted over 120 episodes at this point. So strategic co creation, for sure, I'm actually designing a series right now with chatgpt that is coming up. It is a series that is designed to help podcasters 10x their listener count, and we're taking you through a four week journey. So stay tuned for that, but I'm co creating that with the chat GPT that I've built. Creating a series for your podcast is a big way to keep listeners coming back. And when I have an idea for a series I have loads that I haven't recorded yet, I will punch it into chat GPT and see what the next five episodes might look like and how I can stay in that content flow. So definitely strategic co creation number two is messaging and copywriting help. I love words and I have asked my chat GPT to be very concise and clear, and this is a powerful tool for when I have a topic that I want to talk about, I will ask it to give me five to 10 different episode title options, and I'll pick the one that sounds most captivating to me, and I'll edit it based on what I actually want to say, but it's usually pretty close calls to action. I am not the best at selling my own work, and maybe you're not either, but it is important to have a call to action at the end of episodes. And it's, it's almost like having a coach, like a business coach, guiding you to be like, Hey, tell them about this thing that you have when chat GPT puts in a call to action at the end of an episode for me That reminds me, like, Oh yes, I have to refer back to this. So I'm getting better at this, but it definitely helps me add in the call to action. It's a call to action to help me add a call to action, and then, because I have asked it to speak a certain way for my brand, any titles, calls to action, or posts like Instagram posts, or I've had it help with LinkedIn captions, It all sounds like me, it all uses my voice, and that's really helpful to take a lot of the load off of my brain. It takes the heavy lift off of getting things out on social media, number three, organization and workflow and this step. Currently is my favorite.

So I'll share my process. After an episode is recorded, I import that audio file into another AI platform called otter AI, and it will take a transcript of the episode and spit it out for me, and then I copy and paste this transcript over to chat GPT, and I ask for the show notes for the episode. And I've actually built this GPT to have a specific format for any show notes that it produces for me. I asked it to have a clear and engaging title that includes keywords for discoverability, so it'll give me options for that. And then an episode summary, which is usually the introduction paragraph. It's a short, two to four sentence summary of what the episode is about it sets the scene and shares what listeners can expect to learn or feel. And then I've asked it to provide three to five bullet points of takeaways of what you'll learn from this episode. This helps with SEO and also clarity for the listener of what they're actually getting into with the episode. So helpful. I always love when show notes have that for episodes, and Liz moody does a really good job of this. And then resources mentioned. And this is so powerful because it will scan through the transcript and it will actually give me links to what resources I've mentioned, and it saves me a ton of time. What I used to do was listen to the episode and write down any of the resources that I mentioned and then go find all the links and then copy and paste them into the show notes. So this is a time saver for sure, and then it gives me a connect with me, or a call to action. But I use Buzzsprout as my podcast host, and Buzzsprout is awesome because you can set your show notes to have, like a footer, like on a website that would have and it edits all of the footers for every single episode, so you don't have to go in individually. So I already have a connect with me place, but having an extra like encourage them to subscribe, share, take the next step. I'll write that in if I feel so inclined. So that's my format for show notes that you typically see on episodes, and that's usually done by chatgpt, and saves me hours of time that I used to spend on every single episode just thinking about what I should put in the caption. And, yeah, it's a really great way to distill what your episode was all about. And otter AI is such a baller tool, you should definitely try it out if you haven't yet. I was sleeping on it for a while, and then one of my classmates was like, have you used otter AI? And I was like, No. And then I tried it, and now I use it for a lot of things. I will hit record. I have the app on my phone, and I'll just hit record when someone is talking to me about a project, and it'll give me a summary of what they just said. It hops into my meetings for me, even if I miss a meeting, if it's like a Zoom meeting, it'll hop into the meeting for me. And it'll say, like Lexi's otter AI assistant, note taker, Assistant, I think, is what it says. And then I'll get an email with the summary of the meeting notes, which is so freaking cool. So yes, Otter AI and chatgpt, powerful duo for podcasters. And sometimes I've done this with success. Sometimes it hasn't quite worked, but I'm still figuring out how to prompt this. But you know, when you get a transcript and it's just like a block of text, it's not very reader friendly. I've tried to copy and paste the transcript over to chat GPT and and then ask it to make it a little bit more readable, and just add in paragraphs or like titles for different sections to make it more reader friendly. Sometimes it does it really well. Sometimes it will edit some of the. Wording, and then I've had to say, like, I want every single word to be exactly the same. What I've heard that was really helpful for how you're supposed to use chat GPT or any chat AI platform is, like they are a very intelligent intern, like a very intelligent assistant. They have so much knowledge, but you have to be very specific in what you ask it for, and it's okay to be very blunt. I am one of those weirdos who uses, please and thank you for any AI that I'm using. I'm very kind to AI, but I am very clear with how I communicate. The clearer you can communicate with AI, the better the output will be. So that's a tip. Use it as a very, very intelligent in turn, who needs more guidance from you? And then we have brand alignment number four, because it knows what I want my listeners to get out of each episode and anything that they come into contact with for podcasts with her, it keeps my content on mission and on message. I've found that it's really easy for me to write things as I feel like in the mood. If I'm feeling like more soft that day, or if I'm feeling really angsty, my content writing will feel a lot different, so having this brand alignment keeps podcast with her consistent, so that most of the touch points are very similar. You know what you're getting? You know that you're coming here for clear communication, value driven content and impactful and profitable action steps to use your podcast as an entrepreneur. So brand alignment is definitely a big one. And then number five, and this is probably my favorite creative confidence. If you're an entrepreneur, you probably relate to me saying that I get a million ideas in a week, and when I'm able to just chat it out with chat, G, P, T, I love writing, when I'm able to just write out A bunch of the ideas that I have and then have it put these into bullet points, action steps, episode titles, whatever it might be, it helps me to move faster and I have less second guessing on these things. I'm definitely ADHD. I've recently went to get an intake session with a therapy clinic, and I'm getting some consultation on that, and I think that chatgpt has been one of those things that helped me with my ADHD crazy brain that has a million different directions it wants to go, but to be able to put this into a chat, it will help me take the next step forward. That is also something that I actually have a different chat. GPT that I've built is called Success architect, and this one is just for my personal life, and I have built it to be a guide that helps me in building a successful wealth network with practical, success driven steps. It's fun to have a place to be like, can you give me the pros and cons of this, and can we explore this topic for my life? There was a series going around for a while, if you're in the same kind of like manifestation algorithm on Instagram, where you write out your dream life and what it looks like, and then import it into chat GPT, and it will give you like what a day in the life looks like for you, and a more detailed script that you can really get into the visuals of and I've done this in my success architect, So it knows what my dream life looks like, and every step that I take is like getting me towards that bigger vision. So there's different things that you can do to play with chat, GPT, it's so fun. I. It actually is so fun. I've really enjoyed it

in school. We've talked about how it's scary that jobs are changing and that AI can do a lot of the heavy lifting for jobs that used to take a lot of time, and that used to be someone's full time job. But I also had a guest speaker come in and talk about the new wave of how the design community is going. And it's exciting, because when we're able to use AI for these different things, it is helping propel creativity, and new jobs will be available because of this. This always happens. There's always new technology. I mean, social media came out, and then the landscape of the internet was changed, and all of these new jobs from social media came and existed where there was never a job title of social media assistant or social media content creator before. So I don't feel very scared of AI anymore, especially because I say please and thank you. So use your manners. Yeah, I think just taking everything with a playful mindset can make it really fun instead of like cryptic. So yes, that creative confidence has really been a game changer for me to be able to put in an idea and then ask it to explore more or help me with a series of episodes, or let's play into different themes of how this content is going to flow, to give me different titles that might sound attractive, And to be able to look and like really name the one that stands out to me the most has helped me in my own creativity and to refine my own approach to podcasting. So it is really impactful if you use it in the right way. This definitely has helped me create more consistently. I have not been bash editing episodes. I've been creating episodes on Sundays and then editing and then posting them at 3am on Monday mornings so that all of my east to west coast people can hear it in the morning, bright and early on Mondays. It's been really nice to have an episode that I'm thinking of, and then if I really am, like burnt out on a Sunday, I can import my ideas into chat GPT. I can chat my ideas into chat GPT and ask it for a few more bullet points that I can talk about, or a few more questions to answer, or what questions might my audience have about this? Um, it's it's been really helpful, so please use it, because it has freed me up to be more present, to show up more often and to connect deeper, because a process that used to be hours and hours long has been very easy and streamlined, and that definitely is how we Want to operate in business and with our brands, if you're curious about using AI, you do not need to be tech savvy, you just need to be open to support.
