Hi everyone. Welcome to another episode of the Bridger of Worlds podcast. I am your host Ioannis Kokkinos. Thank you so much for joining me. If you're on YouTube watching, thank you for tuning in and if you're on one of the podcast platforms, thank you for tuning in as well. So today I'm going to be making the episode I wanted to make last week.

Needed to, uh, move through a few things because actually it's a hard, uh, it's a hard topic. It's a hard, uh, subject to discuss, but it does tie into what I was saying last week and a couple of episodes around the masculine showing up. So.

The Symbolism of the Masculine

Biologically speaking, men have something that is a part of their bodies that is about being more or less hidden and out of sight when not needed to show up in order to make something happen. Uh, if you're catching my drift, yes. I'm talking about the cock. I'm talking about the penis, the phallus, the lingam, the phallos, I mean, all the words, right, , around the world, across cultures. I am going to talk about the penis today.

I'm going talk about the energetics and the symbolism of cock. I'm gonna be saying cock a lot. I'm gonna be saying penis a lot, phallus. The phallus is from the ancient Greek phallos, which means erect penis. a.k.a showing up, right?

The Energetics of Masculine and Feminine

So when I'm talking about masculine polarity, when I'm talking about feminine polarity.

This is about the energies. This is about basically what encompasses the expressions of both these gender energetics. So biologically speaking, as men, we have something that is about showing up. Erecting. Creating space, holding space for the seed, right?

And then the woman, the yoni, the vulva, the womb that is about receiving all of that, right? . So, of course we can talk about this from the symbolic perspective as well, right? Like physical union, when man and woman come together and we go through this act, this this expression of life, this expression of our humanity is a manifestation of what was already going on before we were even here.

Polarity wise, the masculine and the feminine come together in order to create life. This is the seventh hermetic principle that everything has, its gender polarities, masculine, and feminine. This is basically the split from oneness because the masculine and the feminine are apart.

They come together in order to embody oneness. This was all going on before we were even here, so I did touch upon that in some episodes ago. But today I want to talk about, yes, the cock, yes, the phallus, but also the wild masculine, the wild male. I want to tie it back into a little bit about what I was talking about with pornography.

'cause I talked about the dark masculine, the wild male, and why it is so essential for man to be connected to his cock. Why it is so essential for man to be connected to his body. I think as far as conscious community is concerned and the work that's going on, I think we're starting to scratch the surface as far as really connecting with the body and with that primal nature of man.

And we have to, of course, start with our penis, with our cock. It's not easy. Right. Um, I guess maybe that's why I went through a little bit of a thing, um, in order to get to this episode. But hey, we made it. Um, I know as far as women's work is concerned, there is a lot of like space holding as far as like the womb is concerned, right?

Like the womb is a very powerful, mystical, very magical place because of what it is able to do, right? Like it takes. the seed and transforms that into a baby. It's like pretty fucking epic. But the cock too has its power. The cock too has its magic. And of course when we talk about the cock, we also need to talk about the seed because the point of the phallus, the point of the masculine erecting is first and foremost to create space. So we see that symbolically. We see that literally when the penis enters the vagina, it is to create space. And that space happens in order for the seed to be laid, in order to be given into the dark, watery gestation space of the feminine.

So that happens on the biological level. But we can of course, talk about it from the symbolic level. We can even talk about it from the psychological perspective, right? So,

The Impact of Pornography on Masculine Energy

I mentioned in the previous episodes when I was talking about why some men are very drawn to porn, why there's addiction, right?

There's porn addiction that is on the rise. So this renders men flaccid, right? So when I say that, I don't mean just like on the literal level. Yes, of course, erectile dysfunction is a prominent symptom of compulsive porn watching and porn addiction. Because we basically wire our minds and bodies to seek whatever we're seeing behind a screen in order to become aroused.

So then when the time comes to be with a real partner, uh, we can't get erected because we're not conditioned to be aroused with a real life human being. We're conditioned to be aroused with someone behind the screen. So yes, that is a symptom, one of the symptoms of compulsive porn watching and or porn addiction.

But I don't think this is something that happens because porn exists. I think there is an unconscious trauma, issue already that first of all is making man seek porn, the way he's seeking it , and consuming it the way he's consuming it. So there might be that energetic imbalance already existing inside man, around not knowing how to show up.

Because if, let's say erectile dysfunction happens because of too much porn watching that means that the masculine can't literally erect right when talking about the penis and it needing to erect and needing to become hard in order to enter the woman. If that's not happening, then perhaps it could be a possibility that that showing up is not also happening on the energetic level or psychological level.

Light and Dark Masculine Energetics

It is difficult to learn how to hold space and to practice nonjudgment when we've not been taught how to, and I'm also gonna say this, because the light masculine is about the spiritual awakening and the awakening into the higher mind, and this is the, the mind of the no judgment, the mind of the non-dual, the mindset that basically everything and everyone is one. It is not something that we can like practice pragmatically. It's basically learning how to cultivate a healthy meditation practice, and I'm bringing the light masculine in here because the light masculine is needed for the dark masculine, for the wild male.

So we can say basically that the light masculine is like the energetic phallus, because the phallus is about holding and creating space and seeding the light of consciousness. . The seed is that light of consciousness.

So as the light masculine does that energetically, yes. The dark masculine too does that energetically, but he also needs to do that physically. He needs to do that literally because physical life starts in the dark.

When we lay the seed inside the womb, this is the beginning of the baby's existence. And we also see this with our world. Our physical world started from the sea. The first sign of life crawled out of the dark waters of our world. Our solar system, and our universe was created from darkness. So physical life always and forever begins so far, right, as far as evolution is concerned until now begins from darkness.

That's why I say dark masculine, and that's why I make it synonymous with the wild masculine and as a symbol that is the phallus. That is the phallus and the seed. Again, this is biology, but we can totally apply this to our energetic dynamic between our masculine and feminine energies.

Connecting with the Wild Masculine

So let's say for men's work or, you know, an example could be basically if man is feeling very passive, if man is feeling very apathetic, he's lacking passion in life. He's lacking courage. He's lacking motivation. That is a significant tale of the wild masculine not being alive, or being suppressed. Most of the time, the wild masculine is very much present, but we've suppressed him. We've denied him because we're very afraid of him.

His distorted version has caused a lot of trauma and pain throughout history. Right? I talked about in the previous episode about the shadow distorted like patriarchal systems that have really not helped men or women throughout history and now, but we need to evoke that primal nature as part of our masculinity in order to first and foremost connect to our bodies, and by connecting to our bodies, we can then actually further our spiritual natures. This is not just about sex. Yes, this will serve a healthy sex life and heal sexual wounding and trauma. But really, if we're looking at the energetics of the phallus, the womb, the seed, this is basically talking about the energetics of the masculine and the feminine as far as the masculine willing; that is the energy of the phallus is will, right, is to penetrate, to pierce and to break through. And the feminine is to receive that is to first of all, feel safe in that because the feminine  is in full surrender here, right? And yes, you're probably thinking about sex. Yes, this applies to sex, but it also applies to energy.

So whether we're man or woman, and let's say we are having an emotional breakdown, we're having a cathartic emotional release, energetically speaking, that is basically energetic cock coming through, breaking and piercing through everything, and basically the feminine, like surrendering, letting that happen in order for the metaphorical seed to be laid, because that seed is the wisdom. That seed is the consciousness, is the love, is the enlightenment after that breakdown. How many times have we had an emotional breakdown then a few hours later we feel like we can do anything? We feel like we're flying. We feel so aligned, so grounded, just so present.

Right. So that's all energetics. And it's not about sexualizing everything, but it's just comes to show that

The Role of the Phallus in Energetics

You know, psychologically speaking, if man is not feeling up, if man is not feeling tall and erected and motivated, and willful, and purposeful and apathetic, passionateless.

This is a strong indication that his metaphorical phallus is flaccid, and it's not because he can't get erect or he can't get it up, quote unquote, but it's because his feminine energy is not feeling safe within his masculine energy. If there is no womb. If there's no space to enter, if there is no darkness to Pierce, then what is the point of the phallus, right? So if man is denying emotion, is avoiding his unconscious, is avoiding his dark, is avoiding the more introverted experience, is rejecting his primal nature.

Why would his masculine show up? Why would his energetic phallus show up? And of course, this would affect his literal, physical phallus. You know, I'm not a doctor and I'm sure Viagra has its place. Men need it for physiological purposes, but I think there's also a lot of men that are taking Viagra that don't need to be taking Viagra.

As I said, erectile dysfunction is one of the primary symptoms of compulsive porn watching and, or addiction. There are men that need Viagra that are in their twenties and thirties in order to make eros to a woman or their partner. That to me is not right, and I'm not here to judge, but I'm also here to say that you can get there organically. We can get there organically by basically tuning into our energetics because first and foremost, as men, we do want to feel purposeful. We want to feel willful. And as I said in the previous episode, we need something and that something is the feminine.

It doesn't mean we need to have a girlfriend, a lover, a woman, a partner, right? We don't, doesn't mean we need to have a relationship in order to feel that purpose and motivation.

First of all, the masculine is about realizing our truth. Truth is very much a masculine word because it has very much to do with our purpose, our logos, what it is we are here to do.

What is the reason we've incarnated into this lifetime and how can I offer myself in order to connect to the world around me, which is the feminine. We can't ever, ever talk about one polarity without bringing the other polarity into the equation. And as I said in the previous episode, a lot of men think that we always need to be in our masculine in order to feel masculine. First of all, the word feel.

To feel is feminine. Feeling is feminine. So we want to feel masculine. We need the feminine.

We want to get erect. We want to get hard, right in order to serve the feminine, in order to create and hold space for her. Well, within that hardness is Shakti, is the feminine life force of creation. Uh, we can very well also apply this to our spine, right when we are practicing Kundalini yoga or breath work in order to raise our sexual energy, a.k.a Shakti, the feminine sexual force from our root chakra. That energy, that sexual energy is moving up our spine, right?

Our spine is sturdy. It's hard, just like our phallus. And that is represented by Shiva. Shiva is he who holds space, who is still, who is the absolute, and is basically the witness for Shakti to do her thing. So Shiva only exists because Shakti exists. Shakti only exists because Shiva only exists.

So we can very well say that the phallus only exists because the womb exists. The phallus serves the womb. The womb serves the sustaining of life. So the phallus is the initiator of that life because the phallus is what lays the seed. If there is no seed, there is no life. If there is no womb, there is no life.

So yes, I'm talking about eros, but we can apply this to energetics as well. So if we are in a state of surrender, if we are in a state of opening, if we are in a state of trust, and of course within that is all like the safety to do so, there's an energy coming through.

There's emotion coming through within our bodies and minds. That means that emotion is basically coming through to clear the old life. Because when we surrender in order to let go, we are letting go of old life. But what that leaving of the old life comes in the new life, two sides of the same coin.

And even though sex is very much about creating life. The masculine, the feminine come together in order to create life. Death too is involved because the phallus creates the space in order to initiate death of old life.

And this is very paradoxical because we think, well, the phallus enters the womb in order to lay the seed, and that is creation of new life. Yes. But in order for new life to be laid, old life needs to go. And that is the space creating. The feminine. Right. She's the receptive space. The womb is the receptive space.

The vaginal canal is the receptive space. Women, biologically speaking, can hold a lot of energy there, a lot of trauma, A lot of old life. Men who are consciously using their bodies, consciously using their cocks can literally enter a woman and heal the living fuck out of her. And in doing so. As the woman opens up, right, because she's clearing that old life, her heart opens up, her heart breaks open, and then she can break the man's heart, the masculine's heart open.

It's a circuit, right? I talked about the circle of light in Tantra. So, energetically speaking, this can happen within ourselves and it doesn't mean we need to technically be attuned to like the sexual union of our masculine and feminine, but also yes, because the masculine and feminine reuniting within us is a symbol of that physical sexual union that does happen between men and women, or the masculine and feminine polarities of same gender encounters.

I really hope I didn't lose you with all of this symbolism and metaphor and poetry because it is highly symbolic. It's highly metaphorical. Basically the key message, the key takeaway is that whatever happens literally and physically, when a man and woman come together, the man being the masculine polarity here and the woman being the feminine polarity, can actually happen within us as part of healing,

Transcendence and Transformation

Transformation, transmutation and transcendence. Now, I know I say those words quite often. They do have their differences, so I do wanna mention it here since I talked about them again. Well, transformation transmutation, more or less the same. But transmutation is usually used when fires involved.

So like when we're transmuting one form into another. So in the context of alchemy, we use the word transmutation a lot, and then transcendence is about going higher. It is a form of transforming, but it's about going higher. It's about raising vibration and raising energy, right?

Transcendence, ascension. But trans, trans represents like moving across something, but high ascension. So we're moving across going higher. That's transcendence and we can very easily, uh, think about the kundalini serpent that like a ascends up our chakras. This is a form of transcendence because as we move the energy up our chakras in our body.

That is how we transcend our energy. So that was a little tangent around like the differences between transformation, transmutation and transcendence. Transformation is basically something changes into another form.

I wouldn't necessarily, uh, use it if the element of fire is being, uh, discussed. If fire is in the conversation, I would use the word transmutation. And then transcendence, as I said, is about going higher. It's about going to the next level, but in the raising of vibration.

The Phallus as a Symbol of Rebirth

so another very important and interesting thing about the phallus is it's actually one of the prominent symbols of Shiva and Dionysus. So a few episodes back I talked about the reflection, the mirroring, and the connection between the archetype, deity, shiva, the archetype deity, Dionysus.

So the lingam, which is the Sanskrit word for, erect penis, and also a source of generative, spiritual power, is a prominent symbol for Shiva. And then phallus, phallos of Ancient Greece was one of the prominent symbols of Dionysus. The phallus in itself is also a symbol of rebirth.

So obviously the womb is very much seen as a symbol of rebirth, but so is the phallus because without the seed, there is no life. Without the space making and the space clearing to lay the seed, there is no new life. So symbolically speaking, the phallus is a symbol of rebirth, is a symbol of resurrection. And funny tidbit about resurrection, we can't spell it without erection, right?

So, for men to be connected to their cocks as a source of vitality, virility, love, connection, uh, motivation, courage is the foundational component of how they can become better human beings. It's not about putting like the cock on a pedestal. Because we know what that's like.

We know that with the patriarchal systems, we know that with cultural conditioning, we see that with the distorted shadow masculine. What putting the cock on a pedestal without the acknowledgement or the respect or the reverence or the love of its counterpart, which is the womb, which is the feminine.

So if a man is feeling lethargy, apathy, no passion. Boredom. No motivation. No courage. I say start with your cock. Literally start with your cock. Start with your body, because this is basically how we can, yes, biologically see how we erect, but we also want to erect psychologically, we want to be erect energetically.

We want to be erect spiritually. We cannot have those expressions of our humanity, if the literal thing of our body that is to erect, does not erect.

And erectile dysfunction is not only because of porn watching and or addiction. It could be an array of issues, right? Like emotional, uh, suppression, denying feelings, right? When we are denying our emotion, we are denying our energy. Emotion is energy in motion. and that speaks to our life force. Our sexuality is very intimately connected to our emotions. Our second sacral chakra is our emotional center and our sexual center.

So if emotionally we are not in sync with ourselves, we are not in sync with our sexuality. And as men, biologically speaking, yes, the sacral chakras are sexual center, but it's also one of the feminine chakras because it's associated with water. The root is really where we want to go when it comes to masculine sexuality. The root chakra, the foundational earth chakra from which the fires of Shakti, the feminine sexual force arise. So this is incredibly symbolic because it is from the root where the cock erects, and as the cock erects, the feminine sexual force raises up through the spine up to the spiritual centers, up to the crown chakra where Shiva awakens and holds space for Shakti. So for men, it is so pivotal to connect to the spine as a reminder of that hard, sturdy phallic part of us, and of course to the cock, to the lingam, to the phallus, and to honor its softness as well.

We cannot be 24 7 erect, and this is speaking to last week's episode. We cannot be 100% erect all the time. That's why it only erects when it's time, when it's time to enjoy the pleasures of life, to create life, to make a baby, to heal, to transmute, to transcend, right.

So this is beautiful work because I do find that when men can connect so intimately with their bodies and with their cocks, to ultimately, um, show up better for connection, for love, for truth, for purpose. I mean, that's really it. That's really it. Because we're human beings.

We are here to honor our humanity in all its richness and fruitfulness, and in order to create fruit, we need seed. We need earth, we need the womb. So biologically it's very evident what needs to happen to create new life. But energetically speaking, this is the exact same thing. It's all symbolism. We have the literal act of sex, the literal act of eros, but we also have the symbolic act of eros and what the two polarities mean by coming together.

So obviously there's a lot of stored emotions and trauma as well in these lower centers, which I talked about in one of the earlier episodes, especially the root chakra. 'cause this is the first to develop as we come into this life. So it is very pivotal for men to literally attune to this chakra and to this part of themselves in order to promote and heal their sexuality. And sometimes that means conscious touch. Sometimes that means conscious massage. Sometimes that means space holding. Sometimes that means meditating. There's an array of practices. There's an array of things that man can do in order to really start to connect with this part of himself that is so needed.

So vital and yes, has been very much misjudged and misconstrued as something else. And yes, the shadow distorted, primal nature of man has caused a shit ton of fuckery throughout history. But that does not mean we negate it, ignore it, or suppress it. Our primal nature needs us and we need our primal nature.

We just have to learn how to work with it, how to embody it in more conscious, healthy, grounded ways.
