00:02:00.189 --> 00:02:04.108 A new year, but it just turned into another year. 00:02:04.108 --> 00:02:12.381 I also heard it was an old proverb, actually, I think it was an old Japanese proverb that says old keys don't unlock new doors. 00:02:12.381 --> 00:02:16.741 Old keys won't unlock new doors. 00:02:16.741 --> 00:02:20.322 Alright, luke, chapter 5, verse 1. 00:02:20.322 --> 00:02:24.281 So this is Jesus here and it says so. 00:02:24.320 --> 00:02:35.325 It was as the multitude pressed about Jesus to hear the word of God that he stood by the lake of Gennesaret and he saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. 00:02:35.325 --> 00:02:44.361 Then he got into one of the boats, which was Simon Peter's, and asked him to put out a little from the land and he sat down and told the multitudes from the boat. 00:02:44.361 --> 00:02:48.688 So it's interesting and you probably know most of the story. 00:02:48.688 --> 00:02:56.710 So Jesus comes in and he gets down by the shore and he realized the crowd is too big to hear him. 00:02:56.710 --> 00:02:58.013 He needs to get some space. 00:02:58.013 --> 00:03:02.850 And so he sees some boats and he sees the fishermen of the boats are doing what? 00:03:02.850 --> 00:03:04.344 They're washing their nets. 00:03:04.344 --> 00:03:05.268 What's that mean? 00:03:05.268 --> 00:03:07.588 It means they've been out all night fishing. 00:03:07.588 --> 00:03:09.824 So what are they? 00:03:49.159 --> 00:04:04.104 He was sowing into the ministry of Jesus when Jesus verse 4, here in Luke 5, when Jesus had stopped speaking, he said to Simon Peter launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch. 00:04:04.104 --> 00:04:04.765 Well, what do we know? 00:04:04.765 --> 00:04:06.248 They'd been fishing all night, right? 00:04:06.248 --> 00:04:08.312 How do we know Verse 5. 00:04:08.312 --> 00:04:15.163 Simon Peter answered and said to him Master, we've toiled all night and caught nothing. 00:04:15.163 --> 00:04:18.406 Nevertheless, at your word, I will let down the net. 00:04:18.406 --> 00:04:20.629 So it's interesting, right? 00:10:54.250 --> 00:11:06.851 The disciples were astonished at his words, but Jesus answered again and said to them children, how hard is it for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God? 00:11:06.851 --> 00:11:07.677 What's he asking? 00:11:07.677 --> 00:11:08.120 Where's your trust? 00:11:08.120 --> 00:11:16.091 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man who's trusting in his riches right to enter the kingdom of God. 00:11:16.091 --> 00:11:19.884 They were greatly astonished, saying among themselves who then can be saved?
