00:02:50.635 --> 00:02:57.823 Have you ever worked a job where you had to do things by yourself. 00:02:57.823 --> 00:03:06.567 You had instructions from your employee or your employer and you had to do a job and you did it by yourself and then he would maybe come, or he or she would come in and inspect it and then tell you to go over that and do it again. 00:03:06.567 --> 00:03:11.174 At least those were my experiences. 00:03:11.174 --> 00:03:28.950 I mean, you guys probably got it right off the bat, or have you ever had someone where you just had to work alongside with them and you collaborated and you worked with them and they were right there and you guys kind of pitched ideas and thought about things and they worked beside you? 00:03:28.950 --> 00:03:30.092 Can I tell you something? 00:03:30.092 --> 00:03:32.040 That's your relationship with the father. 00:03:32.040 --> 00:03:35.509 Do you want to know something that's really interesting about the father? 00:03:36.010 --> 00:03:39.187 In Genesis, when God created Adam, do you know what he did? 00:03:39.187 --> 00:03:42.879 He let Adam name all of the animals. 00:03:42.879 --> 00:03:45.758 He let Adam name all of the animals. 00:03:45.758 --> 00:03:52.866 Isn't that so fun that he wasn't like okay, adam, come here, let's name the animals? 00:03:52.866 --> 00:03:57.973 And Adam's like, okay, yeah, and he sits down because I mean, like that's going to be a task. 00:03:57.973 --> 00:04:08.885 I don't know he probably didn't get tired because it was like perfect, but in my mind he sat down because I'd want to sit down, whatever. 00:04:08.885 --> 00:04:10.191 So Adam sits down and he starts naming these animals. 00:04:10.191 --> 00:04:11.314 And here's what didn't happen. 00:04:11.314 --> 00:04:43.548 When Adam started naming animals, he said, okay, this is a dog and God you know that he worked with god in a situation and that that adam had ideas and god never once like, was annoyed or said that was stupid. 00:04:43.548 --> 00:04:49.076 So so that's a picture of your life with God. 00:04:49.076 --> 00:05:06.278 And, yes, god does most of the talking 100%, and we have to do most of the listening, but there are times where he wants to know your ideas and your thoughts. 00:05:06.278 --> 00:05:09.728 This wasn't even part of my message, but I'm just encouraging you this morning. 00:05:09.728 --> 00:05:11.860 But that's the kind of God he is. 00:05:11.860 --> 00:05:17.031 He's a good God, he's a good father and he wants to know you. 00:05:17.031 --> 00:05:20.004 You're like well, he knows me, yeah, but he wants to hear your voice. 00:05:20.004 --> 00:05:25.175 Isn't that interesting that he wants to know your voice? 00:05:39.983 --> 00:05:41.829 Like there's just something about your kids? 00:05:41.829 --> 00:05:47.826 Like you know, there's something about them where you're like they're home, I want to sit by them, I want to be near them and I want to hear their voice. 00:05:47.826 --> 00:05:50.307 And you're like okay, I know them. 00:05:50.307 --> 00:05:52.588 Like, I know that's Lucy Rainey. 00:05:52.588 --> 00:05:58.052 I know what she likes to eat, I know what you know, what she, you know whatever. 00:05:58.052 --> 00:05:59.425 I just know things about her. 00:05:59.425 --> 00:06:07.483 I know things she likes to wear, I know how to shop for her. 00:06:07.483 --> 00:06:19.502 But when it comes to, like, hearing her heart for the day, there's just something different about that, right, and so you'll draw a little closer to your kids whenever you're like oh, they're here, but then you know, after you know a few hours, you're like okay, you can go away now. 00:06:19.502 --> 00:06:28.574 I'm just teasing, maybe not, but you draw near to that because you want to hear their heart. 00:06:30.060 --> 00:06:32.766 And that is exactly the way that the Lord is with you. 00:06:32.766 --> 00:06:35.791 He wants to know your ideas. 00:06:35.791 --> 00:06:37.281 Can I tell you something? 00:06:37.281 --> 00:06:39.146 He doesn't think your ideas are stupid. 00:06:39.146 --> 00:06:42.841 I don't know who I'm saying this for, but I'm telling you this is for somebody. 00:06:42.841 --> 00:06:46.148 He wants to hear your ideas, he wants to hear your thoughts. 00:06:46.148 --> 00:06:52.103 And whoever has told you that your ideas and your thoughts and your dreams are stupid, they're stupid. 00:06:52.103 --> 00:06:54.870 I don't care, I'll say it. 00:06:54.870 --> 00:06:57.035 They're stupid. 00:06:57.035 --> 00:07:02.627 Don't let anyone ever tell you that your thoughts and your dreams and your ideas are stupid. 00:07:02.627 --> 00:07:12.305 I don't care if you're married to that person, I don't care if it was a mom and dad, I don't care if it was a grandma or a grandpa, I don't care if it was a brother or a sister, I don't care who it is. 00:07:12.305 --> 00:07:22.904 Your thoughts, your dreams and your ideas are important to him, and he wants to hear them, and so you practice drawing close to him and talking to him. 00:07:22.904 --> 00:07:26.788 That's part of your prayer life, because he wants your words. 00:07:26.788 --> 00:07:29.172 He wants you to draw near to him. 00:07:29.211 --> 00:07:30.372 I said this in first service. 00:07:30.372 --> 00:07:34.882 How do you draw near in that throne room With your words? 00:07:34.882 --> 00:07:37.346 How easy is that? 00:07:37.346 --> 00:07:41.932 Do you know what Jesus did for you to be able to draw near with your words? 00:07:41.932 --> 00:07:49.906 His body was broken, his blood was shed and all of sin was laid upon him. 00:07:49.906 --> 00:07:56.240 He was marred so badly and beaten so badly he was unrecognizable as a man. 00:07:56.240 --> 00:08:00.466 All so you could just draw near to him by his blood. 00:08:00.466 --> 00:08:06.956 Isn't that the greatest God and the greatest thing that could ever happen to you in your life? 00:08:06.956 --> 00:08:10.406 Just so you can have access to his throne room. 00:08:10.406 --> 00:08:13.110 That's how good Jesus is to you. 00:08:13.110 --> 00:08:15.523 But he's interested in your life. 00:08:15.583 --> 00:08:17.588 So we go back to 1 Corinthians 3.9. 00:08:17.588 --> 00:08:19.411 We're co-workers with him. 00:08:19.411 --> 00:08:27.413 The one thing that we want to shy away from in this life is living a life where we work for God and not with God. 00:08:27.413 --> 00:08:37.250 So we work with him Because when and this we're talking about our prayer life so when you work for someone, guess what you can do. 00:08:37.250 --> 00:08:42.272 Once you leave your eight hour shift, you can, or eight or 10 hour shift, you go home, you turn it off. 00:08:42.272 --> 00:08:46.908 You never have to hear, you don't have to deal with it for the most part, but you know what I'm saying. 00:08:46.908 --> 00:09:03.707 But when you work with him, he's ever-living, he's ever-present in your heart and you're fully aware of his place in your life and you're fully aware of his presence and you're fully aware that he lives in you. 00:09:03.707 --> 00:09:11.208 And so you just talk differently, you act differently and you talk to him differently. 00:09:11.208 --> 00:09:22.764 And then when you realize I have full access into that place that he has created for me to come into, and you know that your access into that isn't based on your performance. 00:09:25.129 --> 00:09:25.971 Now, do we sin? 00:09:25.971 --> 00:09:33.740 Sure, we have sin, and 1 John 1, 9 tells us what to do about that and we're quick to repent and we ask God to cleanse us from all of our unrighteousness. 00:09:33.740 --> 00:09:39.147 We don't want sin in our life, but he doesn't. 00:09:39.147 --> 00:09:47.116 When we are quick to repent it just opens that back up for us to enter back into his presence. 00:09:47.116 --> 00:09:52.008 So we go in there and we go in there with our words. 00:09:52.087 --> 00:09:54.643 He did the hard part, now we get to do the easy part. 00:09:54.643 --> 00:09:57.573 The thing that's hard is we have so many distractions. 00:09:57.573 --> 00:10:00.261 We have distractions with, maybe, our phones. 00:10:00.261 --> 00:10:04.650 How many of you have had to learn you cannot take your phone in two when you go to pray. 00:10:04.650 --> 00:10:09.303 Don't do it, just stay away from your phone. 00:10:09.303 --> 00:10:10.725 Give yourself 30 minutes, like. 00:10:10.725 --> 00:10:12.649 If that's hard, then do it for 10. 00:10:12.649 --> 00:10:16.914 I don't know what you need to do, but have a detox from your phone. 00:10:16.914 --> 00:10:20.705 Don't take your phone in there. 00:10:20.705 --> 00:10:23.331 So you know you've got the distractions. 00:10:23.331 --> 00:10:24.613 You know what else is a distraction. 00:10:27.811 --> 00:10:30.687 Shame, condemnation. 00:10:30.687 --> 00:10:37.341 Condemnation will talk you out the voices, the voices. 00:10:37.341 --> 00:10:41.716 The voice of condemnation will talk you out of going into that throne room and visiting with him and talking to him and working with him in prayer. 00:10:41.716 --> 00:10:46.504 Condemnation Well, yeah, if you wouldn't have done this or you wouldn't have said that your sins have been too great? 00:10:46.504 --> 00:10:47.408 I don't. 00:10:47.408 --> 00:10:51.883 Here's the thing I want to tell you the blood of Jesus is greater than anything you could have ever done. 00:10:51.883 --> 00:10:55.770 It's far greater than that. 00:10:55.770 --> 00:11:03.984 And so, if you've asked for forgiveness, you've asked for forgiveness. 00:11:05.904 --> 00:11:12.745 Jesus told the woman who was caught in adultery and caught in sin, she was sleeping with a bunch of men. 00:11:12.745 --> 00:11:13.748 And you know what? 00:11:13.748 --> 00:11:15.171 He told her Get up. 00:11:15.171 --> 00:11:18.505 He pulled her up out of that dirt, don't you love Jesus? 00:11:18.505 --> 00:11:23.216 He's got some raising power and he'll pull you up out of places you ought not be in. 00:11:23.216 --> 00:11:25.609 But then he said to her go and sin no more. 00:11:25.609 --> 00:11:28.154 You're like, well, easy said than easy done. 00:11:28.154 --> 00:11:39.677 No, if Jesus said go and sin no more, you've got power and you've got grace to help you not to go back into those places, right, he raises you up so you could go forward, not so you can go backwards. 00:11:39.677 --> 00:11:47.033 And so we take steps towards him, and the biggest step you take towards him is in that throne room, amen. 00:11:47.033 --> 00:11:51.080 So we, we, we, we go into that place by his blood. 00:11:51.080 --> 00:11:55.892 We were designed to work with him. 00:11:56.854 --> 00:11:58.375 What is the primary way? 00:15:38.749 --> 00:15:49.894 Well, your words will cause you if you'll let your words according to the word of God, it'll cause you to step on over, praise the Lord. 00:15:51.576 --> 00:15:59.191 So you might say, well, I just don't feel, I don't feel very close to the Lord right now. 00:15:59.191 --> 00:16:02.298 Okay, here's the thing I would never. 00:16:02.298 --> 00:16:06.576 I would never say, well, that's stupid, don't you know what his word says?
