Let’s talk about something real—healing isn’t optional when purpose is on the line.

In this powerful episode, Coach Latasha S. Morgan challenges you to stop pouring into everyone else while neglecting yourself. Because here’s the truth: you cannot walk fully in purpose while avoiding your own healing.

Anchored in Luke 4:23 (KJV) — “Physician, heal thyself” — this episode unpacks what it truly means to take responsibility for your own restoration. Not just pointing out what’s broken in others, but having the courage to confront, process, and heal what’s within you.

This isn’t surface-level motivation. This is intentional, soul-level work.

You’ll walk away with practical, faith-driven strategies to:

✨ Invest in your healing journey with purpose

✨ Navigate difficult situations with wisdom and clarity

✨ Release emotional weight through forgiveness

✨ Establish boundaries that protect your peace

Healing is not weakness—it’s alignment.

And alignment is what activates purpose.

This episode is your guide to becoming a healthier, stronger, more whole version of yourself—on purpose and with purpose.

Hi there, I'm Latasha Morgan, Certified Christian Life Coach, Certified Professional Life Coach, Board Certified Master Christian Mental Health Coach, and a whole lot of other good, good, goodies, y'all. Yes, that day, that time of the week. You know what time it is. It's Purpose Wednesday, honey. Yes, it is. It's Purpose Wednesday. I've had an amazing day, and I pray that you have had an amazing day as well. Also pray that every day to come is even greater and more amazing than the one before. Listen, honey, we have been talking about some good stuff with forgiveness. We've been talking about how complex forgiveness is, and there are how there are steps that you can take to help you forgive, right? We've talked about acknowledging your feelings, understanding the situation, letting go of resentment. We've also talked about empathy and compassion. We've talked about setting boundaries. And today we are gonna talk it about talk about focusing on self-healing. Focusing on self-healing is important. When I think about self-healing, I think about um Luke chapter 4, verse 23. And it reads as follows. And he said unto them, and this is Jesus, saying, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, physician, heal thyself. Whatsoever we have had her have heard done in Capranum, do also here in thy country. This is after Jesus has been tempted by the devil. He has also just read the book of Isaiah when he says, The spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to preach the gospel, to heal the sick, and all and so on and so forth. So when we go get to this part of the scripture, he used the old proverb, physician heal thyself. In other words, the people in Nazareth wants him to do the works that he's done in Cabernet. When we talk the biblical proverb of physician, heal thyself means that it before we can take care of somebody else's problems or their faults, we must first take care of ours. What we will apply or tell people to apply to themselves, we must also apply to ourselves, right? So, in the form of focusing on self-healing, what can we do to heal ourselves versus what other people can do to heal themselves? How about journaling? How about writing? How about counseling? How about spending time with family and friends, journaling? Um, whatever you can do that can take care of it of you to reduce the stress you are going through, to help you release the pain that you are holding, to help you remove the walls that you've put up because of your pain, because of your hurt, because of so and such, such and such and such and such. Okay, forgiveness is not just for the other person, it is for you. So remember to focus on your self-healing. Whatever that looks like for you, it doesn't matter if you're sitting in front of a therapist, a counselor, a psychiatrist, your pastor, whoever. Self-care is important. Focus on your own healing before you can actually go take care of someone else's, okay? Focus on your healing. What point it what point is it to take care of somebody else's healing when you are dying inside yourself? Okay? Hurt people, hurt people. So if you don't take care of what's going on in you right now, eventually you'll hurt somebody because of what's in you. Okay? So focus on self healing. Have a good night.
