PURPOSE WEDNESDAY: Season 3: Episode 20: REGULAR BIBLE STUDY, MAY 29 , 2024
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Let’s be real—most people don’t struggle with access to the Word… they struggle with consistency in it.
In this episode of Purpose Wednesday, Coach Latasha S. Morgan brings it all the way home: if you want to change your life, you must first change what you consistently consume—and that starts with the Word of God.
Regular Bible study isn’t routine—it’s transformation.
Through John 17:17 and Hebrews 4:12, this episode breaks down how God’s Word is not just something you read, but something that actively works on you—shaping your thoughts, correcting your perspective, and aligning your worldview with truth.
Because here’s the truth:
You cannot see life clearly if your mind is clouded by hurt, experience, and emotion.
But when you immerse yourself in the Word, clarity comes, healing begins, and purpose becomes visible.
In this episode, you’ll learn how to:
- Build consistency in daily Bible study without overwhelm
- Move from surface reading to deeper understanding
- Allow the Word to transform how you think, feel, and respond
This isn’t about checking off a spiritual box—this is about becoming who God already called you to be.
✨ The Word doesn’t just inform you—it transforms you.
If you’re ready to shift your mindset, deepen your relationship with God, and walk in alignment with truth, this episode will meet you right where you are—and push you forward.

Hi there, I'm Latasha Morgan, Certified Christian Life Coach, Certified Professional Life Coach, or Certified Master Christian Mental Health Coach, and a whole lot of other good, good, goodies, y'all. Yesterday, that time of the week, you know what time it is? It's Purpose Wednesday. Yes, it is. It's Purpose Wednesday. I've had an amazing day, and I pray that you have had an amazing day as well. Also, pray that every day to come is even greater and more amazing than the one before it. I really do. Listen, y'all, we started last week, last purpose Wednesday, talking about a biblical worldview. How changing your view of the world based on the word of God involves immersing yourself in scripture, applying biblical principles to your daily life, and seeking a deeper and more better relationship with God. And that you need to take some steps to help you align your worldview with the biblical teachings of God. Our topic for today is step one: regular Bible study. That includes daily reading and studying deeply. Look, when you do day reading, you have to read the word of God daily. You read the word of God as like you eat. You have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a little snack. So you'll read the word of God like that. Maybe a chapter, a verse, or whatever, what have you. But when you read the God, read the word of God, excuse me, daily, what you want to do is start with a reading plan that covers the entire Bible or focuses on specific themes or books. Maybe there are things you want to study in the scripture. Maybe you want to know how the word of God can change you, whether it's your mouth, whether it's the way you see people, love or forgiveness, uh, any of those things, whatever the topic is, is up to you. I always say that you, if you want to know God and get closer to God, you start at the beginning. You start what He did what He did first. You always start with Genesis. Because and the reason you do that is simply because when you if you read the book of Genesis, a lot of other books will make more sense to you. Okay? So you want to study the Word of God also deeply. You don't want to just read it, you want to study it so you'll know it. So you might want to use study guides, commentaries, and other resources that are deeper in your understanding of the word of God. Reflect on the context, the meaning, and the and how you can apply the word of God to your life. When you go into commentaries and when you read those scriptures, you want to go into the time in which the scripture was read. That's why you have to understand the context of the scripture. Go into the time in which that the scripture was read. Who were they talking to? Who was a writer talking to? Why were they talking to them? And bring that word out of their time and into your time and apply it to your life and see what God is saying to you. When we read and study the word of God, the word of God changes us because it's just that powerful. It'll change your mindset, it'll change your eyesight, it'll change the way you speak, it'll change everything about you because when before you look at somebody else, through the eyes of the things that you've experienced, you remember that the Bible says, love your neighbor as yourself. Do you want your neighbor to see you the way they see other people? Or through the eyes that of a heart that was hurt because of someone else? No, you don't. No, of course not. So you want to see people the way God sees them and change, let God's word change your view, your worldview. Oh, the word of God is just that powerful. Hebrews chapter 4, verse 12 says this for the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart. God knows the thoughts, your thoughts, and your intents. The word of God is able to discern that. So always remember to change your worldview and don't see people the way you think and see them based on your own hurt and your own pain. But see them through the eyes of God. Have a nice night.
