Stress-Proof Your Life Through Faith
Ever feel like peace is just beyond your reach? That crushing career stress, family pressure, or health concerns have stolen your ability to experience true tranquility? What if authentic peace isn't dependent on your circumstances changing, but available right now, in this very moment?
"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives." These words from Jesus in John 14:27 aren't just comforting phrases—they're life-changing promises that have transformed my approach to stress management for over two decades. Whether facing impossible sales quotas, challenging workplace dynamics, or major life transitions, this supernatural peace has been my anchor.
The world offers countless stress-relief methods: medications, alcohol, unhealthy relationships, entertainment—temporary fixes that leave us returning to the same anxieties once their effects wear off. But divine peace operates differently, penetrating your entire being—spirit, soul, mind, and body. This peace isn't achieved through external circumstances improving but through the internal presence of Christ.
How do we access this peace? First, receive it by faith, simply declaring "Lord Jesus, I receive your peace right now." Second, focus your attention on God's promises rather than your problems. Third—and perhaps most powerful—proclaim peace aloud over your circumstances. "Life and death are in the power of the tongue," and speaking peace releases spiritual authority that transforms your emotional landscape even when situations remain unchanged.
Ready to experience supernatural peace in your career and life? Join me as I share practical, scripture-based strategies that have proven effective through decades of professional and personal challenges. Discover how the supernatural advantage of God's peace can become your daily reality, regardless of what you're facing.
Greetings, my friends. Tony Williams, here. I have wonderful news for you today and I want to share it with excitement and the joy that the Lord is filling my heart to share. Enjoying peace in life and career. Do you want peace? I know I do. I know most of the people I've talked with they want peace and when you're in this world you're going to experience stress. You may be experiencing stress right now and I know God, through Jesus, His Holy Spirit in you, wants you to experience peace. You know, we have a supernatural advantage. Supernatural advantage when you ask Jesus to be your Savior and your Lord. Jesus, His Holy Spirit, comes to live on the inside of you and at that very moment you have all the power of God available to you and one of the gifts that God gives you is His peace.
Tony:Listen to what Jesus said in John, the 14th chapter, verse 27. And I've been applying this, my friends, for over two decades. So what I share with you, I share with love, because I know many of you are in careers that are very stressful and I know God wants you to know how to handle the stress in victory. I want those of you who have retired from your vocation of years of service and now seeking God for a new assignment, to also know that he wants you to enjoy peace as he prepares for the new thing that he has in store for you. So this is what Jesus said in John 14, verse 27. "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. How is that possible? The Spirit of God living on the inside of us and the power of God available to us if we will believe and exercise it. So this is what I want to share with you today. How do I experience and enjoy the peace of God in the midst of stress? My friends, I am not sharing with you a textbook theory. I am sharing with you truth from the living Word of God, scripture, the Word of God that I have proven and tested in my life and career journey. And why am I sharing it with you? Because to whom much is given, much is required. God doesn't want us to keep the truths and the revelations that he gives us to ourselves. He wants us to proclaim it, to broadcast it. Why? Because he wants others to benefit from the insight and the wisdom and the guidance that he's given us and the victories that we won. If he does it for me, my friends, I guarantee he will do it for you, because God loves all of his children the same and he is not a respecter of persons. If we put our faith and trust in the living God, we will enjoy the peace of Jesus Christ. So how do we do this? Well, let me give you an example.
Tony:I had a tremendous sales quota that I needed to meet, and it was stressful - calling customers, making sales calls, wondering, doing forecasts, having meetings with my managers. Ron, I know what you're saying and so I was wondering "Lord, how do I handle all of this Big responsibility?
Tony:You may be running a multi-billion dollar corporation. You may be starting a multi-billion dollar corporation. You may be starting a new endeavor. You may be doing a multitude of things that God has called you to do. And here's the key. If God has called you to do it, you can trust that He's already provided everything that you need to accomplish it. So listen to what Jesus is saying, accomplish it. So listen to what Jesus is saying.
Tony:"Peace, I leave with you. How do we receive the peace of Christ, like we receive anything from the living God by faith. We believe what he says and we appropriate all the riches of God to our lives, our circumstances and the things that we are encountering. By faith. So by faith, you say Lord Jesus, you said to me your peace, you leave with me. So I receive your peace, lord Jesus, right now, by faith, and just expect it, anticipate and prepare for it, and then you will begin to sense a presence of God. God is with you all the time.
Tony:Unfortunately, we get so busy and bombarded with all the activities of life we neglect to recognize that He is inside of us and that His presence is with us. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. This is God speaking to you, my friend in Germany. God speaking to you, my friend in India. God speaking to you, my friend in Russia. God speaking to you, my friends in the United States and around the world.
Tony:Jesus says "I give you my peace. So, whatever the circumstance is, it is not bigger than your God. And this is the focus. The focus of faith frees us from stress. The focus of faith frees us from stress. Well, how do we focus our faith? We focus our faith on the promises of God, the promise that I'm sharing with you, that Jesus gave me over two decades ago, that I have practiced and experienced the peace of God in seemingly impossible circumstances, in my vocation, in my family, in health issues, all these things that I've faced along the way. But Jesus said, "tony, and he's saying to you the same thing I've given you my peace, and if he's given it to you, we appropriate it by faith. Lord Jesus, I receive your peace. So if you're stressed right now, stop and say Lord Jesus, I receive your peace, and say it, believing it that God has promised it and he will assuredly give it to you. Have that confidence. That's number one. Number two not as the world gives.
Tony:You see, I used to think that I needed to take sleeping pills, I needed to go to the doctor to give me anti-stress relievers, and there are millions of things that people use all around the world. Some people use alcohol, some people use drugs, some people use sexual relationships. All these things we attempt to embrace to relieve us of our stress. But once those activities are completed, we're still in the same position. And so what do we do? Some people accelerate it, some people increase it, run, run, run, run, but they don't have peace. So, not as the world gives do I give you.
Tony:Jesus is talking about that supernatural penetrating through your spirit, your soul, your mind, your will, your emotion and your body, where you can rest and experience that supernatural peace. That's what I want, that's what Jesus wants for you. And so he says I don't give it the way the world gives. Don't look to the world for peace. The world provides maybe temporary happiness, but we'll never find peace in the things that the world offers us. Peace is a supernatural gift from Almighty God through Jesus, His Son, His Holy Spirit, living on the inside of you. And so God says to us don't let your hearts be troubled. You're going to be tempted today, bombarded with stress, to get troubled.
Tony:When you sense that emotion, I pray, in the name of Jesus, that the Spirit of God in you will awaken and stir you to say "wait, claim your peace, proclaim it. Oh, proclaim your peace. Don't think your peace, only Think it, but proclaim it. I speak peace, the peace of Jesus over you, the peace of Jesus in your situation, the peace of Jesus into your life, into your family, into your circumstances. Speak it aloud. Life and death are in the power of the tongue, my friends and he says don't be afraid. Fear is not of God. So whenever you are tempted to be fearful, remember it's not of God, it's the devil, it's Satan. His only tactic is to attack you in your mind, to get you to become fearful. So when those emotions start to arise, stop and proclaim in faith Jesus, I receive your peace, Jesus, I love you. Jesus, I am bold and confident that you're with me in this."
Tony:Recite it aloud to God, pray it aloud and write it on a card, a three-by-five card. Carry it with you and whenever you're tempted to get stressful, recite that aloud. Recite that aloud and observe that the peace of God will begin to permeate every circumstance, every situation. Your circumstances may not necessarily change immediately, but your attitude and your perspective and your walk will be impacted by the promise of God. And Lord Jesus. I thank you for my brothers and my sisters the promise of God. And, Lord Jesus. I thank You for my brothers and my sisters. I thank You that You have blessed them and You've commanded the blessing that they enjoy peace in their life and career. In Jesus' name, Amen.
