Hope is a positive assurance of an expected outcome!

What if hope isn’t a mood you chase but a power you practice right now? We dive into “now hope,” a present-tense trust that anchors your mind and redirects your heart when life turns turbulent. Grounded in Romans 15:13, we explore how joy and peace rise as you believe, and how the Holy Spirit fuels you to abound in hope even when circumstances push hard the other way.

Across this conversation, we get practical about fighting discouragement and spiritual fatigue. You’ll hear a simple, memorable definition—hope as positive assurance of an expected outcome—and how to apply it by naming a promise, writing it down, and speaking it aloud. We unpack why singing isn’t just emotional relief but strategic warfare that drives out the lies that drain your confidence. From shifting attention away from fear to declaring truth, the steps are small, repeatable, and powerful: submit to God, resist the devil, and watch him flee.

We also return to identity: if you’ve trusted Jesus, you are a child of God and the Holy Spirit lives within you. That means you don’t labor to earn love; you live from it. Whether you’re facing a heavy assignment, a career crossroads, or a quiet but exhausting battle in your thoughts, there’s strength available right now. Focus on who God is, remember who you are, rehearse the promise, and sing until hope rises. Join us, lend your voice to the chorus, and choose “now hope” today.

If this encouraged you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs courage, and leave a quick review to help more people find hope.

SPEAKER_00:

Greetings, my friends. Tony Williams here. God loves us unconditionally. Oh, don't you thank God that he loves you unconditionally? You don't have to work to earn God's love. He loves you unconditionally. And because of his great love, he wants us to have hope. And the message that God gives us today, hope, now hope. N-O-W-H-O-P hope. Exclamation point in life and career. Now hope. Why does God want us to have hope? Because in the world that we live in, wherever you are in the world, my brothers and my sisters, Satan wants to discourage you. Satan wants to take away from you all the good things God has promised you. So if you are facing a battle right now, and we're in a battle every day with Satan, God wants us to remember that we have hope. Now, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans the 15th chapter, verse 13. Look it up, write it down, and recite it aloud. This is what God is saying to you, my friend, wherever you are in the world, the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. This is God saying, I'm going to fill you with all joy and peace in believing me. What are you believing? You're believing a promise that God has given you. What promise has God given you, my friend? Think about it. Can you write down on a piece of paper the promise that you're believing God for? What has he made to you? What promise? If God has given you a promise, you can be assured that he will fulfill it. Here's what hope is. This is what I asked God. What is hope? And this is what he spoke to me. Hope is a positive assurance of an expected outcome. Hope is a positive assurance of an expected outcome. How can you be so assured of that, someone may say? How can you be so positive in light of everything that's going on? Things may not be going on the way you expect it right now. You may be in turbulence, the devil may be attacking you in your thinking and in your circumstances. But God said, Focus on me. Remember my promise to you. And this is what he says to you today, my brother. Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is God speaking directly to you, my sister. Wherever you are right now, he's saying, Remember my promise to you. Remember that you're my child, and remember to sing aloud for the joy and peace that I've given you and the positive expectation that I've given you for a future outcome. God's going to fulfill that promise. God's going to do it. He has already done it. We just have to believe in God. I sought the Lord and He answered me. He'll never fail. Seek the Lord. Cry out to your God and praise Him in the midst of your circumstances, is what He's saying. Sing aloud to God. I trust in God, my Savior and Lord. Sing to God. You know why that's important? When we sing and offer praise to God in the midst of our circumstances, whatever they may be, good, bad, or nothing's happening. Praise God with song. Praise Him because when we praise God, it drives the devil away. Satan wants to discourage us, but there's something about singing aloud to the Lord. There's something about reflecting on the promises of God that gives you hope and peace and joy. This is what God said. I am the God of hope, and I'm giving you all joy and peace. In believing, we must believe God. Satan wants to distract you, my friend, from believing God. He wants to get you off of focusing on God and his promises to you to looking at your circumstances. Don't do it. Shift your focus back to God. Remember who God is. Remember that you are a child of God to all who received Him, Jesus Christ as your Savior and your Lord. To them, he gave the right to be called the children of God. You are a child of God. And at that very moment, oh, thank you, Jesus. The Holy Spirit of God comes to live on the inside of us. Think about that. The Holy Spirit of God lives on the inside of you. God lives on the inside of you wherever you are in the world. Oh, thank you, Jesus. And is the power of the Holy Spirit released through you that enables you, empowers you, equips you to do everything that God has said, this is what I want you to do. Has God called you to an assignment, my brother? Has God called you to a position, my sister? If God has called you there, you can positively expect a future outcome for good. God's going to do everything that He promised to do. How will He do it? Through the power of the Holy Spirit and you believing the promise of God. Through the power of the Holy Spirit in us and believing the promise of God. Believe God, believe God, believe God. Believe the promise that he's made. And when Satan attacks, resist him. The Bible says, submit to God, resist the devil, and he must flee. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. So if you're being troubled by Satan, if you're being tossed back and fro here and there by circumstances, stand still. See striving and know that he is God. He is with you. You're his child, and he'll never leave you nor forsake you. Put your hope and your trust in God. This is the promise he makes to us today. Now, right now, right now, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace. This is a joy and peace that only God can give. In believing, just believe him. Say, I trust you, Lord. I believe in you, Father God, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. You see, my friends, God does everything. He gives us the promise, he gives us his Holy Spirit, he dies on the cross and raises himself from the dead to give us eternal life so that we can become his children when we place our faith and trust in him. And now, based on who you are and who he is in you, you have and the promises that he's made to you. Stand firm, resist the devil, and he will flee. How do you resist the devil? You recite the promises of God, you sing to the Lord, and he gives you the power to overcome. You release that power when you sing to the Lord. Sing to the Lord. Get someone to sing along with you. I sang this song with my brother yesterday. We were in the midst of a battle and we recognized where we were, but we began to sing and praise God. I trust in God, my Savior and Lord, for he is never failed. He's never failed. I trust in God, my Savior and Lord, for he is never failed. He's never failed. Keep singing that song, my brothers. Can you imagine? Think about this. All around the world, we sing this song in unison. Wherever you are in the world, if you placed your trust in God, sing that song in the midst of your circumstances. Sing that song in light of the promise that God has made to you. Sing that song in light of who you are in Christ. You, my brothers and my sisters, are a child of the living God. Trust in God. I put my trust in God. In Jesus' name. Amen.
