Wisdom doesn’t live far away. It’s close, personal, and present in the decisions that define your work and your home. Tony invites you into a lived promise from Psalm 32:8—“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you”—and shows how that promise becomes a practical guide for real leadership moments and everyday choices.<br><br>We walk through a formative season with the Brave Hearts, a cohort of emerging leaders who named five core attributes for their journey: confidence, humility, persistence, resilient, and resourceful. You’ll hear how those traits balance each other in the pressure of projects, relationships, and deadlines, and how asking for counsel transforms good intentions into wise action. Tony breaks down the difference between instruction, teaching, and counsel, and explains why the “loving eye” matters when stakes rise and clarity fades.<br><br>There’s a powerful story at the center: two people, seeking direction, independently led to Luke 11 on the same morning. That alignment becomes a model for discernment—ask for guidance, wait with attention, confirm through Scripture and circumstance, and then move forward with courage. Along the way, we talk about leadership as stewardship, the role of the Holy Spirit in daily decisions, and the steady confidence that comes from knowing you are seen, known, and guided.<br><br>If you need clarity for a tough call, a team challenge, or a personal crossroad, this conversation offers a simple practice you can use today: ask, listen, learn, and act. SPEAKER_00:

Greetings, my friends. Tony Williams here. Did you know that we have a wonderful counselor available to us anytime, anywhere on the face of the planet to lead and instruct and guide and counsel us in every circumstance? This is what I want to share with you today. It's called Our Wonderful Counselor in Life and Career. I did a little research and I discovered that 42% of Americans will have experienced an encounter with a counselor at some point. And it probably varies all around the world, but I began to think about this notion of our wonderful counselor. Our wonderful counselor. And this is a promise that God gives his children. He says in Psalm 32.8, I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Psalm 32.8, what a magnificent promise that our Heavenly Father sees us, He knows us personally, and right now, whatever the circumstance you're facing, God has promised that He will instruct you, He will teach you, and He will counsel you with His loving eye upon you. I love God because He counsels me. I was looking through my Bible and I discovered an entry that's dated May the 1st, 2020. What was I doing then? I was serving a group of cohort new leaders within our company. And they named themselves the Brave Hearts. And in my Bible, I put beside this verse that I just quoted, Psalm 32.8, their names, the Brave Hearts. That's what they call themselves. Professionals from Canada and the United States coming together under my leadership. You know, leadership is a very important opportunity that God gives us. And all of us are leaders. God gives us everything that we need to do exceptionally well everything that He's called us to do. He says that we are His masterpiece, created for good works in advance that we should walk in them. So, leading this cohort who started on their career journey on January 15th, 2020, I had the opportunity to speak truth to them. And my prayer was, Lord, instruct me in the way I should go. Lord, teach me so I can teach others. Lord, counsel me with your loving eye upon me that I may lead this group of people in a way that's pleasing to you, that they can reach the maximum of their potential. At that time, we had the cohorts list five attributes that they aspire to exemplify on their life and career journey. This is what the Brave Hearts wrote: confidence, humility, persistence, resilient, and resourceful. What attributes do you have that define you on your life and career journey, my friend? God wants to help you accomplish that and transform you into those attributes that you aspire to manifest. And he says, this is how he will help us. I will instruct you. Instruct means I'm going to give you step-by-step instructions. I will teach you. I call it divine insight. And he says, I will counsel you with my loving eye. You know, a counselor helps us gain understanding. And how wonderful it is for God to call himself the wonderful counselor. That's one of his names. He is the wonderful counselor. What are his attributes? Omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent. That's the counselor. Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit of God, who lives on the inside of every person that says, Jesus, I want you to be my Savior and my Lord. You and you alone, I want you to be my Savior and my Lord. This is what I proclaimed almost four decades ago. And I've been practicing it since then. I'm not perfect at it, but I do know that I am getting better because practice makes perfect, even though we won't necessarily reach perfection until we stand before our Creator. But in the meantime, when we face a circumstance that we need insight, we need understanding. Who better to go to than our Father in heaven, Jesus, the Holy Spirit who lives on the inside of us, and ask him, Holy Spirit, help me to see this circumstance the way you see it, and then wait for him to reveal spiritual discernment for you to see it. This is the understanding part. No counselor other than Jesus Christ, through the power of his Holy Spirit, can give us supernatural, all-knowing, all-powerful, all-seeing insight and understanding. This is the beauty about having a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, his son. He gives us his Holy Spirit, and his Holy Spirit is inside of you, my friend, to give you this instruction, to give you the teaching, and to give you the counsel with the loving eye upon you. I recently had a circumstance where I was working, and I am working with a godly man that I love deeply, and I thank God that he is turning his eyes to look toward the wonderful counselor. And just this morning we were talking, and I asked him, What is God saying to you and how is he directing you right now? And he said, for some reason, he keeps bringing to me to read Luke the 11th chapter. Ironically, this morning, before I talked with him, that's the precise chapter and verse that God led me to, to give me guidance and instruction and counsel on how best to lead and encourage him. I was so excited, and I'm so excited now that God sees him, he sees me, he sees you, my friend, wherever you are in the world. This is the beauty of having an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent counselor, that he can touch you anywhere on the face of the planet because he's in you and he's promised to be with you, and he's promised to counsel you with his loving eye upon you. What counsel do you need? Go to him and simply say, Father God, please counsel me. Give me understanding that I can see it the way you see it and help me to move forward with confidence. Once I understand what you want me to see and how you want me to proceed. When you do that, my friend, wherever you are in your life and career, you could be leading a corporation, you could be just starting in your career, you could still be in college. Wherever you are, you could be a person that's raising a family. Where you are, you can pray that prayer and be assured that our Father in heaven, through Jesus and His Holy Spirit in us, will give us precisely what we need. I pray for the brave hearts. That was five years ago, but I know God sees you wherever you are, and I know God's plan is going to come to fruition. I pray for every listener, the ones who listen to this podcast all around the world. I see you as family. And I want you to know that I pray for you. I fervently pray for you and your family, your loved ones, your colleagues, the clients that you serve all around the world, that you will experience the supernatural instruction. You will experience the divine teaching, and you will walk with the wonderful counselor. Oh, Father God, we love you. I thank you for sunshine. I thank you for all the listeners. I thank you that your spirit is in us, leading and guiding us with your loving eye upon us. Counsel us, Lord. In the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Amen.
