Greetings, My Friends.

When we set our goals and envision God’s vision for our lives, we begin the adventure of a lifetime.

What are we to do when we encounter hindrances to our vision and goals that God helps us to set?

What if the only thing standing between your vision and its fulfillment is the voice you choose to believe? We take you inside Mark 5 to watch faith at work in real time—Jairus pushing through a crowd, a woman reaching for Jesus with a single sentence of confidence, and a Savior who answers bad news with a better word: “Do not be afraid, only believe.”

I am sharing this conversation and insight from God with you.

We connect the dots between vision, goals, and God’s provision. We share why every God-given goal needs a matching promise, how to find that promise in Scripture, and how to use it as your first response when fear knocks. I’ll share a personal story about speaking peace over family, anchored in Isaiah’s assurance that descendants will be taught by the Lord and enjoy great peace. More than inspiration, we offer a practical rhythm: identify the promise, confess it out loud, cut the noise, and take the next faithful step.

God gives us understanding of the power of our words and their impact on our atmosphere. Jesus left the mocking crowd outside and chose a smaller room filled with faith before speaking life to the girl. That moment reframes how we curate our inputs and companions during pressure. Your words, plus God’s words, affect circumstances and manifest outcomes.

God gives us the truth and instructs us to guard our hearts, proclaiming God’s promises to answer negative reports quickly, and sustain quiet confidence after a breakthrough—no grandstanding, just steady obedience and results that speak for themselves.

Please  share the message with someone who needs courage today, and leave a quick review so others can find it. What promise are you choosing to boldly speak this week?

Welcome And Core Message

Tony

Greetings, my friends. Tony Williams here. Welcome to Celdi, Summit Evergreen, Leader Development Insights. Thank you so much for listening. God has a wonderful plan for you, and God loves you unconditionally. And this is what God wants to share with us today: the power in believing. The power in believing. As we talked earlier in the year, God wants all of his children to have a vision for their lives. God has a vision for you that he has helped you to envision, and he wants you to set goals that he has committed and promised to help you accomplish. So that's what we've been doing so far. So once we have our vision set, now why do we need a vision, by the way? God says, My people perish for lack of vision. My people lack discipline because they have no vision. So God wants us to be focused and he wants to help us to accomplish all that he created us to do and to become. And so once we have our vision and the goals that God has given us, we proceed on our journey. But we're never alone. Once we say, Jesus, I want you to be my Savior and my Lord, and we welcome Him into our hearts, immediately the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit comes to live on the inside of us. And God says, everything that we need for life and godliness, He has already provided. What does this mean for us? It means that the goals that God helped us set, the vision that we're now envisioning that God has placed in our hearts, God is saying, I've already provided everything you need to accomplish all of that. So how do we receive it? We receive by believing. We receive by faith, appropriating what God has already said. And so when we meet circumstances and challenges that are designed by Satan to cause us to doubt, to cause us to give up, to cause us to turn back, we first must recognize exactly what they are: tactics, to try to impede the progress of accomplishing and God fulfilling his vision in our lives. This is why believing is so important. The power in believing. God gave me this this morning because I was encountering some challenges and turbulence in the fulfillment of my vision. I knew God had given me promises, and I knew that God was with me, and I knew that God was faithful. But these taunts from the enemy, the circumstances, seemed to loom larger and larger. Then God gave me the breakthrough. And this is what he said. It's found in Mark, the fifth chapter, verse 36. As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said to the ruler of the synagogue, do not be afraid, only believe. This is what he's saying to you, my brother and my sister. Right now, wherever you are, do not be afraid, only believe. What are we to believe? We're to believe that the vision that God has given us and the goals that God has helped us to set and the promises that He's given us to accompany those goals and that vision, He will bring it to pass and He's already provided it. So when we face this turbulence, when we face these hindrances, these voices, God says, the power is in believing. What are we to believe? We're to believe the promises of God, and we're to speak boldly what God has said. So whatever promise that God has given us, when we face an encounter of some turbulence, we speak boldly the promise God has given us. Here's an example. I was concerned about my family receiving all the good things that God had provided and all the things that God has in store for them. And so the devil was saying, they won't make it. Look at the circumstances. And then the Lord said to me, What was my promise to you, Tony? And I looked it up. And he said, All your descendants will be taught by the Lord, and they will enjoy great peace. All your descendants will be taught by the Lord and they will enjoy great peace. So that thought of them not making it, that thought of the devil trying to dissuade them, I spoke boldly. He has said that we may boldly say, This is why we have to have a promise, brothers and sisters. We have to have a promise from God that accompanies each of the goals that He's helped us set. And we fix our vision, we envision the vision that God has given us along the way. Keep our focus fixed on God. So God said, here is how we are to respond. And he gave it to us in Mark the fifth chapter with this man. Let me share with you the story. There was a man named Jairus. And Jesus has just come off the boat, and a throng, a multitude of people are all around him. And Jairus somehow gets to Jesus. And here's the first insight. When you sincerely want to know God, when you sincerely want to have a relationship with him, he will make it possible for you to get to him. Woo! Think about this. Hundreds and hundreds, maybe thousands of people. How did this one man get to Jesus at just the right time? Because God providentially made a way for Jesus to encounter him. And my friend, you may not know Jesus yet, but if you desire him, he will providentially make a way. And when you say, just as what Jesus said, if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, you will be saved. And this is why what we say is so vitally important. And it's all here in this story of Jairus. Jairus comes to Jesus and he falls at his feet and he says, Please come to my house and lay your hands on my daughter. She is sick, near the point of death. Please come. Think about this. Hundreds and hundreds of people all around Jesus. Jairus gets to him and he falls at his feet. Guess what? Jesus begins to go with him. So with that, Jairus has the assurance that Jesus is going to do what Jesus, only Jesus can do, and what Jairus asked him to do. But this is what happens. The account goes this way. As they're walking through this multitude of people, they're thronging him, and you can hear all the noise and clamor. There's another person, a woman, who has been ill for 12 years. She has gone to all the physicians, she spent all of her money, and it says she's only getting worse. But this is what she noticed. She had heard about Jesus. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. And she had heard, and this is what the Bible says. She said, If I can but touch his clothing, I will be made whole. I will be healed. And in the midst of all of that, people touching Jesus and he's working his way through the crowd, somehow this woman gets close enough just to touch his garment. How did that happen? When you sincerely want to get to know Jesus, he will make a way. So she got through it, touched it, and immediately she was healed. And Jesus knew something had happened. And he stopped and he looked around and he said, Who touched me? Who touched me? And his disciples saying, What are you talking about? All these people are touching you. Everybody's touching you. But the woman knew, and she came and she fell at Jesus' feet, and she told them all that was going on. Listen to what Jesus said. Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction. Oh, glory to God. In the midst of all this clamor, this woman touches Jesus and he says, Your faith has made you well. So they're going on. But at that very moment, while the words are still in Jesus' mouth, servants come to Jairus and they said, This, Your daughter is dead. Don't bother the teacher any longer. This is what Jesus said, and I'll read it again. As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be afraid, only believe. I can envision Jesus grabbing him by the shoulders, looking into looking into his eyes, and saying, Do not be afraid, only believe. Why did Jesus say that immediately? Because Jesus knew and he wants us to know the impact of words. Words have power to them. Words have the ability to speak life, words have the ability to speak death. And this is why you go back when Jairus first meets Jesus, he falls at his feet and says, Please come, lay hands on my daughter, and she will get well. Those words of faith is what moved Jesus to come with Jairus, the faith. And now Jesus had just heard negative words, bad news that Jairus received. And Jesus immediately spoke. When he heard those words, he spoke to him. Trust in me, rely upon me. I'm with you. And then they continued to go on their way. But this is what Jesus did, and this is what he wants us to do. He made the crowd stay behind. All that multitude, hundreds and hundreds of people, perhaps, maybe thousands, told them to stay back. And the only people that he allowed to go with him were the people who had faith in God. You see, my friends, when God gives you a promise, when God gives you a vision, you have to be very cautious on who you let to come around you. And you have to be very sensitive not to let negativity and negative thoughts and words impact you. So Jesus got rid of all of that. And now it's just Jesus, Jairus, and his three disciples going to Jairus' house. Imagine what they were talking about. They arrive at Jesus' house. There's another group of people. They're mourning and crying and screaming and all the loud stuff is going on. There's commotion. And Jesus said, Why is all this commotion going on? She's not dead. She's only asleep. The people heard Jesus and they laughed and they ridiculed him and they mocked him. This man is crazy. Who is this lunatic? This man is crazy. All this negativity. You see, when God gives you a vision, you may encounter people that say, This is not going to be possible. Well, you know, you must be on drugs or something. How do you think this is going to happen? Look at you. We know you. Jesus put all those people out. And then it's only Jesus, Jairus, and his wife, and Jesus' three disciples. They go into the room. Jesus walks over. The girl is on a mat or cart, and he touches her, grabs her by the hand, and he says, Taletha kumi, which means, little girl, get up. Glory to God. She got up, and they were astonished. And she was walking around immediately. And Jesus said, Give her something to eat. Notice what he did not say. He did not say, Let's go out and show the unbelievers what I'm able to do. As a matter of fact, he said to them, Do not tell anybody what's happened here today. So Jesus wants us to do the same thing. We don't have to brag and boast about what Jesus has done unless he tells us to, to try to pull to try to make people believe. All we have to do is to follow him and let him do what only he can do. And when Jesus is doing it, it can't be hidden. It will be made known all around the world because that's the way God operates. And you are only going to say it was the Lord's doing, and it's marvelous in our eyes. Father God, thank you for loving us. Jesus, thank you for being our Savior and our Lord. And thank you, Holy Spirit, in us for teaching us and instructing us in the way that we are to go. I pray for my brothers and my sisters and every soul that listens to this message that your Holy Spirit will speak to them. Words of encouragement, words of affirmation, words of peace, that you are with them. And let them remember what you have promised them, and let them boldly say what you have said. He has said that we may boldly say, and let them speak words of faith to their circumstances, the promises of God. Your word does not return void, it always accomplishes that which you send it to do. Give them the promise and the word to speak boldly, confidently to their circumstance, their situation, all the taunts and the lies silenced and away made. You make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert for your people. In Jesus' name. Amen.
