What Happens When You Believe!

Believing God is not just a feeling or a personality trait, nor is it a motivational tool. True belief is the moment when we say yes to God and His amazing grace meets us right where we are. Over the years, I have returned again and again to the liberating truth of Ephesians 2:8: God saves us by His grace when we believe, and we cannot take credit for it. Salvation is God’s gift to us, not something we can earn through our own efforts, appearances, or striving. This truth has anchored my life and career, reminding me that everything begins with His grace and our simple trust in Him.

Romans 10:9 reveals what it truly means to be saved: entering into a personal, intimate relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. I have seen firsthand how this relationship awakens us to our true identity in Christ. No matter how successful we may appear outwardly, without God’s life within us, we remain spiritually empty. But when we place our faith in Him, we become new creations. This new identity in Christ transforms every part of our lives—how we think, the choices we make, and how we show up in our work, our homes, and every relationship. I am experiencing this transformation myself, and I know God desires it for you as well.

Faith becomes real when it is tested under pressure. I have learned that when we act on what we believe, God reveals Himself in powerful ways, and we begin to see ourselves through His eyes. I remember a time in my career when I trusted God with a significant opportunity, and He brought about an outcome far greater than I expected—even turning a competitor into a partner. Greetings, my friends. Tony Williams here. God loves you unconditionally, and because he loves you this way, he wants you to know the truth. And the truth is, what happens when we believe? What happens when we believe? God wants us to know the truth about what happens when we believe.

Grace As God’s Free Gift

He got my attention this morning when I was looking at Ephesians the second chapter, verse 8, in the New Living Translation. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this. It is the gift of God. It is a gift of God. You see, my friends, for you to believe, God has to do everything. That's what grace is. God gives us everything freely. We don't work for it. And this is the beauty about Christianity, about having a saving relationship with Jesus. He does everything for us. What are we to do? We are to believe. What does God say about

What Salvation Really Means

that? He says, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans the 10th chapter, verse 9. God says, if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and that He raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. What is saved? Saved is having an intimate relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. Saved is knowing God and knowing Jesus. And what's the outcome? The outcome is then we become awakened to who we are in Christ. Awakened. Up until this point of being saved, we are dead in our trespasses and sins. We may be healthy and alive and vibrant and running beautiful businesses and beautiful families, but in God's eyesight, we are dead. But when we say yes and believe, he awakens us, he brings us new life. And then from that awakening to who we are, who is this Jesus, when he awakens that for us, by his grace, we receive that when we believe it. That's what happens when we believe.

New Identity And New Thinking

And at that very moment, when we say yes, when we confess with our mouth, Jesus is Lord, believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we are saved. We become brand new creations in Christ Jesus. And then with that awareness of who we are in Christ, our identity, we then begin to transform how we think. And through that transformation about how we think in light of who we are in Christ, God says we are his masterpieces created for good works, which he ordained in advance that we should walk in them. You see, my friends, before you were ever born, God had all your days written out and he knew exactly what he wanted to accomplish in and through your life, and how he wanted to bless others in and through you. You see, my friends, God wants us to be aware of who we are: the new creature, the new creation in Christ. This will change how you lead in your business. This will change how you serve in your home. This will change how you engage with your friends and your colleagues and people that you meet along the way. Once you have this awakening and once you're aware of who you are in Christ, it changes everything. First and foremost, the old you is dead. The old you is in the past. You are created brand new in Christ by God. So think about that. So the things that used to hold you back, the inadequacies and the regrets and the fears and the doubts and the unbeliefs, all those things are moved out. There's a new you. That new you is created. Brand new, not refurbished, not renewed, not remodeled, but brand new, created in Christ Jesus. Now, once you understand that, once you become aware of that, it changes how you view life. When I discovered this was approximately 24 months ago.

Leading Life From Who You Are

And see, this is what God says. He wants you to be aware that you're a new creation in Christ. It will change how you lead that corporation. It will change how you engage with your wife or your husband or your children, your family, your loved ones, your colleagues. It will change the vision that God has given for you. You will see yourself in a brand new way and you begin to look at circumstances differently. We're going to face challenges in becoming and doing all that God calls us to do. But then we're going to act out of our identity. What does that look like, someone may ask? I'm glad you asked. When you act out of your believing, you begin to see God for who he is. And you begin to see yourself in light of who God sees you and how he sees you. And then you begin to act appropriately.

Faith That Acts And Wins

Three things occur. You have a dynamic faith. You have a dramatic faith. You have a decisive victory. Dynamic victory, dramatic victory, and decisive victory. Why? Because you're believing God in every circumstance you face. When I discovered this truth, my friends, I began to apply it to my leadership roles in major in a major corporation, in all in the clients that I served, in my family and my loved ones, the people that I would meet, in the church where I belong. All of these things changed dramatically when I became aware of my identity in Christ. And I began to act that way. You see, God says, when you pray, believe that you have received it and you will have it. So when you begin to face circumstances in your company, circumstances in your health, circumstances in your family, whatever they may be, you have to respond in light of who you are in Christ, your identity, and act that way. When you act that way, you're acting the way God intends for you to act. You are acting based on who He is in you and the promises that He's made to you. So this will impact your company. This will impact your health. This will impact your friends and your relationships, all your children, even those yet unborn. All these areas are impacted by understanding what happens when we believe. Think about it, my brothers and my sisters. You're free. The old you is dead and gone. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus. You are empowered by the Holy Spirit of God who lives on the inside of you, and now He wants you to act in light of who you are, the reality. Awakened, aware, and now you act. I'll share this testimony.

A Workplace Testimony Of Trust

I began to apply this situation in my workplace. I had a big new opportunity come my way. It required me to trust God in a bigger way than ever before. I moved where God told me to move. I took the assignment, and at the very height of the battle, when everything seemed to be lost, God spoke to me. After I heard some discouraging news from a colleague, there's no way that you're going to win this opportunity. You're going to have to do something dramatic to win. I stood in front of this company headquartered in a place, a major city in the United States, and I talked to God, and this is what I said. I said, Father God, I've sold my house. I've trusted you to come and take this assignment, and you see everything that's going on. I need your help, Father God. I got back on a plane, flew back to my hometown, my city where I was living, and months later, I get a call saying the client wants to do business with us. What had happened? I had trusted God, and supranaturally, he had provided something that I didn't know was going on, and all of a sudden, my key competitor became my partner in this endeavor. And the next seven years were fantastic. God blessed me in ways that I can't even begin to communicate in this conference that we're having today. But I want you to see that I began to act in light of who I was in Christ. I went to my Father with the challenge I was facing. I began to pray and believe that God would hear me and receive what he would want me to have. And as a result, the outcome was fantastic. He's going to do the same for you, my friend. If you begin to receive what we talked about today, what happens when you believe? You're awakened to who you are in Christ, you become aware of your identity, and you begin to act out of the new you. And then that action, acting in faith, believing, receiving. And when you pray, believe you will receive, and you will have it.

Final Charge And Prayer

Father God, I thank you for every listener in every part of the world, when and wherever they listen, let them hear what you're saying, let them hear what your Holy Spirit is speaking to them. For by grace you have been saved. And that not of yourselves. It is a gift from God. Let them be saved, Lord. And those who are, let them walk in their new identity and enable them to speak this truth wherever they go. In Jesus' name. Amen.
