Gratitude And Welcome

I give thanks to you, Lord, for you have made me glad. Greetings, my brothers and sisters. Tony Williams here. Welcome to Celdi. Our message is a continuation from last week. Rejoicing in your victories in life and career. God has made us victorious. And because we are victorious, we are to sing for joy at the works of his hands and declare his loving kindness in the morning and his faithfulness at night. God wants us to declare and sing for joy at the victories he gives. You see, my friends, as I said last week, whatever the situation you're facing, wherever you are in the world, God sees you. And when you have said yes to Jesus as your Savior and your Lord, to all who received Him, to all who believed on His name, to them He gave the right to become the children of God. As a child of God, Jesus, through His Holy Spirit, lives on the inside of us. All the power of God lives on the inside of you. And through that power, it's Jesus living and moving and acting through you in the circumstances you're facing. This is why you can be glad and you can rejoice in every battle that you face, because the battle is not yours but God's. And I shared this example as I shared last week and we'll continue.

A Personal Promise In Crisis

Here's the account that God brought to my attention. Many years ago, 25 years ago, I was in a situation with someone I loved deeply, and this person was struggling for her life. And God gave me a word that He was going to deliver, He was going to heal, and He was going to restore. And I can remember in the middle of the night, God gave me a promise, 2 Chronicles 20, 17. This is what God said. You need not fight in this battle. Station yourselves and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf. God is saying that to you, my friend. Wherever you are right now, you don't fight this battle. God fights the battle. We allow Jesus in us to speak the promises of God to us and through us to our circumstances.

Using Scripture For Finances And Healing

Let me unpack what that means. Whatever the situation, you get a promise from God, and you allow that promise to become yours, that God has given you for whatever the circumstance. It could be finances. Let's use finances, for example. God says, God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that you will have enough sufficiency for every good work. So you find that promise that God gives about giving you finances, and you meditate on that, and then you proclaim it in faith, and you believe that God is going to do what He's promised to do. If it's healing, you will find a promise that says, By His stripes, I am healed. And you proclaim that over the illness and the sickness that you're facing in the name of Jesus, the Jesus God who lives on the inside of you. This is what makes us so powerful. This is what God wants us to understand about who we are in Christ. Who are you, my brother and my sister, in Christ? You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. And God is saying to you and to me, I have made you conquerors, your mighty men and women of God, because I, Jesus, lives on the inside of you.

Christ Lives In You

Here's a promise that I've stood on for many years, and God is making even more apparent to me this day. Galatians 2.20. I have been crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. Yet it's not I that live, but Christ lives in me. And the life that I now live, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and delivered himself up for me. Galatians 2.20. Meditate on that. Read it and ask God to speak to you what it means for you. Here's what God is saying it means for you. God is in you, and God never loses a battle. This is why we can sing for victory, even before the battle seemingly has been won, because it's already won. And so last week I talked about a promise that he gave me in 2 Chronicles, the 20th chapter, verse 17. Life and death. Jose, Pedro, you don't have to fight this battle. Luis, you don't have to fight this battle. Because the battle is God's. It's always been God's battle. And so even though we're in a battle, we fight from victory, not for victory. Because Jesus won everything when he died on the cross, rose from the dead, and paid the penalty for all of our sins. And he now gives us this power. He said, All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. He's delegated that to you and to me as his children, as his ambassadors, as his representatives. You represent Christ, my brother and my sister, wherever you are. Let the light of Christ shine through you. How do you do that? By proclaiming the victory that's already yours. Whatever the circumstance you're facing right now, declare boldly whatever the promise that God has given you for this circumstance. This is why you must be in the Word of God. You must read the scriptures for yourself, because it's through the Scriptures that the Holy Spirit speaks to your Holy Spirit to say, This is what I'm going to do in this circumstance. You see, in John the 16th chapter, verse 13, Jesus makes an amazing statement. He says, When the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you and guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own initiative, but he will take what is mine and make it known to you. And he will disclose to you what is to come. The Spirit of God in us empowers us to do and be everything that God has provided for us to do and become and to accomplish. Therefore, whatever the work we do, we do in the power and the authority of the Holy Spirit living on the inside of us. So if you're facing a circumstance, remember it's not you that's facing the circumstance alone. It's Jesus in you that's facing this circumstance.

Jehoshaphat Stands Still And Praises

So let's go back to 2 Chronicles 20, 17. Here's the backstory. Armies, multitudes of armies have gathered together and come in unison to come after this one kingdom under the ruler, over the rule and leadership of Jehoshaphat. And he hears the news and he knows that all these armies that have combined together coming against him, he has no power to overcome them. So what does he do? He turns and he gets the nation to begin to seek the Lord, to begin to pray and cry out to God for help. And in the midst of this, God raises up a prophet, someone who is walking with God, who he speaks through to give Jehoshaphat and the people that are crying out to God for the victory a message. And this is what the message was 2 Chronicles 20, 17. God told them, you don't have to fight the battle. The battle's already won. The battle's not yours but mine. Go out and station yourselves and see the victory I'm going to give you tomorrow. So they get up in the morning, and Jehoshaphat, the leader, and remember, you're a leader, brother and sister. You have to proclaim boldly what God has said and speak it to people that may be in fear and doubt, overwhelmed by circumstances. You see, you're God's ambassadors, you're God's chosen representative. You have to speak boldly in the name of Jesus to provide life in the workplace, life in your family, life in your friends, life in the community. God's given you this authority to speak. And the prophet got up and he spoke, and he said, God has given you this victory. And the next day the leader said, Remember what God has said. Remember, God will establish you. Put your trust in his prophets, what God has spoken, and you will succeed. They began to sing. They began to go up. He put the choir in front of the army. They didn't know what was over the mountain. They just began to sing and praise God, not knowing what the outcome was going to be, other than God had promised, I'm going to give you the victory. The victory hadn't come yet, hadn't manifested itself yet that they could see, but in the spirit it was already a done deal. This is why, brothers, you have to envision the victory that God's given you. Use your God-given imagination to focus on the victory. See the victory already proclaimed by the Holy Spirit. See it in your mind's eye is already done. See it in your spirit is already done. And begin to praise and thanks. Thank to God. Oh, thank you, Jesus. Begin to praise him and thank him. And this is what they did. Then they come upon the enemy, and God has stirred the enemy to come against itself, and every soldier had destroyed the other soldier. Not one was left. The only thing that was left was a multitude of riches that was available because of now all these dead warriors were done away with. The Bible says it took them days to take all the wealth that they had gathered without having to fight one soldier back to their city.

Fear Not And Final Blessing

So, my friends, I want you to just remember who you are in Christ. God is saying to you, I am with you. Fear not, for I am with you. Do not anxiously look about you, because I am your God. I will strengthen you. Surely I will help you, and I will uphold you with my victorious, righteous right hand, says the Lord. Believe it, thus saith the Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen.
