Speaker 2:

Welcome everyone. I am Janice Smith, co-host and producer here, in the studio with Coach Jill Atkinson and Coach Rosie Wendell. Jill and Rosie, how's it going? Wonderful. How are you? Over the years, you've grown a remarkable following. However, some listeners might not be familiar with your full journey. Let's take it from the top. Could you share a little background about your company and what you do about your company and what you do, absolutely.

Speaker 3:

So. Our company is called Cohesive Movement Center. We are a community aerial training facility and we cater to anyone who's curious about the aerial industry pole specific, as well as Lyra, silks and Bungie. We also are a cross-training facility, so we do offer a gym facility as well, in addition to the aerial, so that folks have a place to train and cross-train. You can have just a gym membership here as well, and we also offer aerial memberships as well, from beginners to advanced.

Speaker 2:

Okay, and when you're not busy running a business, what do you do for fun?

Speaker 4:

Oh well, I actually do a lot of creative things. I have a great time spending time with my husband, but I do a lot of my creative outlet I'm getting back into from my childhood sewing, custom work, custom dance outfits and a lot of like clothing, clothing gear, gear. Yeah, a lot of gear.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, in my spare time I also have a husband. I'm a dog mom. In my spare time I bling out shoes. We have a sister company called Radiant Custom Designs where I actually make custom tumblers, hydro jugs I can customize them to anybody. And I also do platforms for our dancers in the aerial arena as well, which look great from a stage. Other than that, I'm a huge car nut so I love cars. My husband and I are very into that lifestyle and I'm kind of a horror movie buff.

Speaker 4:

I'm happy, happy, happy cheery one. And I love to be outdoors. I do a lot of stuff outdoors, a lot of hiking, a lot of adrenaline rushing things outdoors. That's kind of me, but I'm not a horror person.

Speaker 2:

So we know marketing is key to any business success. How do you market your business?

Speaker 3:

Currently, we are marketing a lot on social media, which is Instagram. We have a YouTube channel as well and we also have a TikTok. We also have our own personal pages and it is personal pages are separate, but our business is cohesive underscore movement underscore center and TikTok is actually just cohesive movement center, I'm sorry, not TikTok YouTube, and that's how we're marketing. We are also marketing by word of mouth. Yes, we meet with many people every day who are interested in what we're doing, so we get the opportunity to talk about it quite a bit. In our aerial community, we have a lot of people who are supporting our mission so, jill and rosie, you both are very busy people, so in your own words.

Speaker 4:

Why are you?

Speaker 4:

doing this well, I come from a medical background. She's a corporate background. I was a dancer growing up and grew up really quickly and didn't have a choice, got into the medical field. I love what I do but I missed that creative point of movement and was just like becoming a robot. I got back into the aerial world about 15 years ago and it became a click. It became just different things and I wanted, always wanted it like when I was up north, a good homey feeling community. I stumbled into her class one day and we have been talking about it ever since, for almost two years. So we just want a safe place for people to come and train.

Speaker 3:

Very much. Yep, I've actually been a classically trained dancer my whole life. I started dancing at the age of two, so I've been dancing for over 40 years. I've coached and done choreography for many years. Dance has always been a second home to me and about two years ago I decided to make it my full-time job. We spent a lot of time creating the stream together. We realized that we had a lot of similarities in what we wanted to create and we decided to gel them together to create Cohesive Movement Center, and it's just basically to create a safe space for people to train on their own time, versus being in a classroom setting where you're taking a class for 60 minutes and then you're out the door. We wanted to create a space where you don't have to feel like you have to leave.

Speaker 2:

Oh, like a community center. So if I come in and I exercise, I do the routine and stay and hang out and enjoy.

Speaker 3:

Exactly, exactly, yep. And we also are a first form supplement retailer, so we offer our members access to a supplement bar after workouts, which includes a post-workout stack and ways to help your body recover appropriately so that you can continue that momentum and consistency.

Speaker 2:

Love it. Jill and Rosie, we'll catch you in the next episode, where we'll dive into some frequently asked questions. Have a fantastic rest of your day, thank you.

Speaker 4:

Thank you.
