The Glow Up Year

Inside Coco Rocha Model Camp: Was it Worth it?

Megan Salisbury Season 1 Episode 8

So what really happens when you throw yourself into a dream opportunity—even when that little voice in your head keeps whispering “You’re not good enough”? I found out firsthand at Coco Rocha Model Camp, and wow… it changed everything.

Before I even packed my bags, the imposter syndrome was LOUD. I fully convinced myself I’d be the worst model there, that my roommate would hate me, and that I’d somehow embarrass myself out of a career. (Spoiler: my roommate was an angel and I did not get kicked out.)

From the moment I arrived, everything shifted. During my portfolio review, Coco said something that stopped me in my tracks:
“If you want editorial work… how would anyone know from this portfolio?”
Oof. That hit. And it sparked a total reframe: your book should reflect where you’re going—not just where you’ve been.

What followed? Four days of intense posing, runway training, business coaching, and some of the most creative shoots I’ve ever done. I walked away with seven completely different looks (yes, including a mohawk moment) and a whole new direction for my career.

If you’ve ever questioned whether investing in yourself is worth it—this episode is for you.

Speaker 1:

It's like 11 o'clock, I wash my hair and I have to wash it like twice because it's got so much gel in it. I go to start blow drying my hair and I get about halfway through my hair and the blow dryer is starting to be really mysterious. I really need this hair dryer so that I can be ready for my shoot tomorrow. Welcome back to the glow up year. Hey, hey, y'all Okay. So today is going to be a very different episode, but a very fun episode, and I know you are going to love it because I brought you with me to Coco Roach Home Model Camp. Yes, I did so. Today's episode is going to feel more like a come with me journey. I hope you love it. Let me know what you think in the comments and maybe we'll do this more often. A come with me on set or a come with me wherever Just a heads up. The sound may be rough and that's because I was recording it straight onto my phone in real time and so some of the clips are a little rough, but I think you'll be able to get the gist. Oh, I have so much to share, but I'm going to wait, I'm going to wait, I'm going to wait. So let's jump right into it. Here is my come with me to Coco Rocha model camp. So it's the night before Coco Rocha camp. I just finished packing. It's like 1130 at night. Well, I guess I'm not really finished packing, but I'm close to finish packing. I spent the day just putting on all my outfits and taking pictures, because that's one of the requirements they asked for. They wanted to be able to easily swipe through each picture to know what outfits they want to put us in for our shoot. It was a long day of like trying to figure out how to style myself better, and this is definitely not something that is my strong suit, but I think I really came up with several really solid outfits and ideas and got everything washed and ready to go for the trip. So I will talk to you again tomorrow. So I'm leaving for a Cocoa Rocha model camp today.

Speaker 1:

I woke up this morning really early. I finished my packing, I prepped my food because, like I said before, I have inflammation issues and so I just wanted to make sure nothing like that will happen while I'm there. So I got everything prepared, got in the shower and did my hair and usually my hair stays in for about four days, so I'm hoping to not have to do it again while I'm there, but I have all my stuff in case I do. It's about a four-hour drive down to New York and then I'm going to do my makeup when I get there. This is like my go-to move. I like, 90% of the time, do my makeup when I get there. This is like my go-to move. I like, 90% of the time, do my makeup in the car, especially if I'm going to have a long drive, because I don't want to get shiny and I really like to touch my face, which is probably not a good thing. So I got to pack up the car and then we'll touch base when we get there. So I am in the car on my way to Coco Roche model camp and what turned out to be a four hour drive has turned into five and a half. So we are running on the cusp of being late. Right now. We're going to be a half hour early still, but really praying that we're not going to be any later than that because I still need to apply some makeup in the car which I think I can condense down into legitimately seven minutes.

Speaker 1:

That I just was thinking as I was driving here and I promise I'm being safe right now that I wanted to talk to you guys about how the week coming up to Coco Rocha model camp was for me. I found myself slipping in to some imposter syndrome this week and had a hard time at the beginning of the week really prepping for the weekend to come, and that was kind of frustrating to me, to be completely honest, because you know, I always think that we think we're past, like these different areas in our life, but as we like, grow and change and morph, it just comes like at a different angle and a different side, and there's probably never a world where we're like 100% and past imposter syndrome or any sort of like fear-based thing like that, because as we grow, the fears morph and shift and change. And so I just wanted to be honest with you guys and tell you that I found myself at the beginning of the week very fearful that I wasn't going to be good enough. When I got to Coco Rochon model camp and, honestly, that my, that like my roommate wasn't gonna like me and I was making up these like figmental, like characters and people in my head that don't actually exist. My roommate was gonna I was gonna bother her the entire time and that everybody else there I was gonna be the the worst person there, so everybody was gonna be looking at me and judging me. And then I got put into the Kogorosha. They have like a group chat and I started seeing like these people comment and introduce themselves and I realized that I have nothing to worry about and I realized that I was stuck in like compare and despair, but on this like figmental level where I had like created these circumstances that weren't even real, and I just wanted to share that with you because I don't want you to fall into the same trap that I fell into, where I'm like stressed about something that's upcoming when there is no need to have that stress at all, and the more we practice repetition with these things, the easier they become. But I just wanted to share that stress at all, and the more we practice repetition with these things, the easier they become. But I just wanted to share that experience with you and give you an update on where I was at in the day and we will be there very shortly, and the GPS says that we will be there in one hour and 16 minutes. One hour and 16 minutes and I will talk to you guys again later and give you a recap on what's happened so far today.

Speaker 1:

I just finished day one of Coco Rocha camp. Already so valuable. The information I just learned today was well worth the entire cost of it already, which is incredible. I will be transparent. There are things that I can't say. We're not supposed to share any information just, I think, for the safety of their company, which is fantastic and I totally get. So I won't be able to give you like all the deets, but I will tell you if you can hear it in the background my roommate showering. But I struck gold with my roommate. She is fucking incredible. She's so much fun. She's like extroverted, which is awesome for me because I'm not always extroverted and I can find myself very introverted, and so it's. She's just been so incredible. Her name's knee yeah.

Speaker 1:

So, coco, I gave her two looks to pick from for this part of the camp, because my additional photo shoot. I have all the other looks for, but I let. I gave her a choice between a like black tank with a wide leg trouser and the second look was like a leather jacket with just a pair of boots underneath, very um, like chic and cool gloves on. And she picked out the leather look, which was awesome and let me tell you like the modality behind this. So when I first showed up, I got to show Coco my portfolio and everything, and so the first thing we get to do is meet Coco, sit down, talk about the goals, talk about the plan and show her portfolio and just kind of get to know her, which which was so incredibly valuable in itself and some of the things she told me at the table.

Speaker 1:

Looking at my portfolio, I didn't quite grasp until we had our portfolio do and don't session, which was so helpful and really spandered beyond what I imagined, and I think the one thing I'll share from the session that was the most valuable for me was that you want your book to reflect where you're going and not where you're currently at. So it's like you want to be. The good business model is you want to be one or two steps ahead of where you're at now. So if your book just reflects where you're at now, you're behind the game. Unless that's unless, unless your book reflects where you want to be. That's totally different conversation.

Speaker 1:

But my conversation with Coco was that I wanted to and, as I've shared with you, I want to do these like high fashion, story driven editorial, insane kind of looks. And as she's flipping through my book, she's like well, I don't get that from this book, which is really very accurate. My book is very, very, very commercial. So she's like how would I know, as somebody who's trying to book you, that that's what you're into and that's what you're interested in doing? And that is such a fucking valid point. It blew my mind. Blew my mind. That's going to make a huge difference for me. And she also talked about I'm not going to share the details of this, but she talked about how to approach, like getting test shoots and setting test shoots up, and how to find the right photographers and all that stuff which is so helpful. So day one Coco Rocha camp for the win. Yeah, is there any other highlights from today I want to share? I'll share this with you too. This is not really Coco Rocha camp themed, but I'll share it with you because it was kind of like a little breakthrough I had today.

Speaker 1:

I'm a huge fan of Whitney Uland and her podcast how to Be Famous I think that's what it's called how to Be Famous. She talks about this like ability for an artist to feel safe being seen, and I started, you know. So I've been trying to expand my horizon with feeling safe being seen and I was like, oh yeah, I'm totally safe being seen, I'm totally safe being the model on set, I'm totally safe being the actor on set. And then I realized the other day that I have a hard time feeling safe with clothing, like I don't want to stand out in public, I don't want anybody to look at me in public, and I realized this is another area of my life where I don't feel safe being seen. So this is something that I am continually working on, and the thing that I had was a breakthrough was I bought this fine cocktail dress Fine, like I looked fine in it and I was afraid to wear it because I didn't want to be too dressed up compared to the other girls. Like I wanted to kind of like fit in, and my modality going into this whole camp is I'm going to make some bold fashion choices and I'm here for it. And so I put on that dress and got ready in like a matter of 15 minutes and it felt so good to just not care what people felt about how I was dressed or not be worried if people were looking at me. In fact, I got complimented several times, which felt nice. Right, it's nice to get compliments. I haven't always felt that way, but I'm sure we'll talk about that later at some point. But yeah, day one Kokoroshi camp for the win, tomorrow's posing class and runway walk class and something else. But I will, we'll talk tomorrow, I'm sure at lunchtime at least. At the end of the day it's the end of day two and y'all, I am just so wiped out.

Speaker 1:

It was such a long and wonderful and amazing day of just movement and learning how to do stuff, and it was just such a wonderful experience. But let's start with what happened today. So, um, the morning started with a pose class. Pose class was so awesome. It was so awesome. It really if you've been an og follower here, you listen to the episodes about the model camp and how valuable I felt watching the other model move was, because it really informed and helped me know how to move, and it was the same here so valuable to watch Coco move and also so valuable to just learn a different style of movement. Not that the style of movement is going to work for everything, but it's just like another, like chapter I have in my book that I can go back to refer to, or another file on my filing cabinet in my brain that I can go back and like, um, choose, and so, yeah, it was just such a wonderful time.

Speaker 1:

There's gonna be a lot of stuff on social media. I'm sure I haven't been posting the last couple of days because they've been such long days with very minimal breaks, but it was just so awesome and I just feel like a whole different artist and I have a before clip and then an after clip that maybe I'll share, like what I felt like posing was when I got there and then like what posing was when I left. So, um, that will be interesting to see. I haven't even looked at these yet, so but yeah, we'll experience them together. But, um, yeah, that's how the day started.

Speaker 1:

And then, you know, we learned they went much more in depth on like what is commercial versus editorial, versus high fashion, and, um, I'll just share a few things with you here. Um, just in case you're curious, because I mean because I didn't even really feel like I knew to the extent and have always felt like these lines are blurry, and so commercial modeling is really for the masses. It's like the target. It's not meant to entertain, it's just meant to sell a product. This is like an actual way that you can make money that's relatively profitable in commercial, but there's no theme. You're really just selling a product. So it's this is like very simple.

Speaker 1:

And then next is editorial, and editorial is in a magazine. Oh my God, why did I not know that? Going into this editorial just means it's going to be in a magazine and it has a story to it or a theme, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's a paid well, which is very interesting. It's really something that as, like I said, a story. And then the next level is high fashion or haute couture. That is like couture is one of a kind. You can only say a brand is couture if it's out of Paris, which I didn't know. You hear all these brands call themselves couture and they are out of Los Angeles or New York. You have to be out of France to actually be able to use that word, which is very interesting, and so I think what I really learned the most is making sure you have like a mix of things right, because if editorial is cool but it doesn't pay very well, you want to have some commercial stuff. So you are getting paid and yeah.

Speaker 1:

And then we moved on to runway class, which, if I'm being honest, going into this, I was like I never want to do runway. I'm five, four. It's not going to be my thing, never has been my thing. I'm not confident in my walk. I just feel like I'm clunky. I don't really know what I'm doing. I don't know if I would really enjoy the experience. After taking this class, I was like this is something I could do. I would just need to practice like practice, but it would be something that I actually would like to do and I think would enjoy and would have so much fun. And it came really natural to me and I became kind of like a little bit of a group leader in this, because I think some other girls were confused, but I was having a wonderful time learning learning what was gonna happen and learning how to walk in a very specific way, and also like learning how to make a walk more feminine versus more masculine. I would never would have thought about those things and like there's different ways you can swing your arms and different. It's just. It's such a unique experience and also unique to each show, which is very interesting to me and this is definitely something that I think I would like to pursue, but I definitely feel like I need a lot more practice before I get there.

Speaker 1:

And then we ended-ish the day with expectations versus realities and this was just like an opportunity for us to ask any of our questions that we wanted to ask Coco. And a thing that I found was most interesting is there's so many different types of modeling. There's fitness modeling, where it's about like sportswear, and there's like fit modeling, which is actually when you work with a designer and the clothes are actually like fit on your body, but this isn't like in the public eye, which is very cool. But it's also a full-time or semi-full-time position, which is awesome. There's parts modeling where it's just your hands, your feet, the back of your head, your lips. There's lifestyle, there's swimsuit, there's bridal, there's catalog. There's just so many different opportunities and directions you can go with this, which made me really feel like I am looking at this so in such a small way, when really it could be looking at this in such a broad way. There's so many more areas than I would have ever ever dreamed.

Speaker 1:

This was just such a amazing opportunity and we also got the chance to like set a boundaries list, like create a list that is like this is going past my values and past my morals and of things that you don't want to do, and so, in particular, for me, that would be like I don't want to do a nude shoot. I don't necessarily want to do something super provocative, don't necessarily want to do something super provocative. I personally, I'm like very much a pacifist. I don't like watching violence, I don't like seeing violence. I don't like I wouldn't want to be involved in violence, and so I don't know that I would necessarily want to be holding a gun in a shoot or doing any sort of thing like that. So that was all very, very, very interesting. Yeah, it was such a fun day y'all. We ended the day with dinner and just so you have like a heads up of what's tomorrow. Tomorrow is my first shoot and then tuesday I'll have another, but tomorrow is my first shoot, and we picked like this leather jacket with the leather gloves and like leather boots look with nothing underneath super sexy, but, but not crazy y'all. I'm not being crazy out there, but I'm very excited and tomorrow's going to be such a fun day and I will keep you updated on how it went. And they said that we should have photos back in two weeks, which is amazing and crisscross. That's actually two weeks, though, because I hear that a lot. It's not actually two weeks, hmm, all right, well, I'll talk to you guys tomorrow night. Okay, so it's the end of day two of Coco Russia camp.

Speaker 1:

Y'all today was such a fun day. So we're split into two groups today, while group one was doing their photo shoot, group two was having a contracts and agencies meeting and then we would flip flopop right, and so I ended up being group two, so I had my meeting first in the morning, with all the information I guess not meeting class and then in the afternoon I did my photo shoot my first one, but we'll get to that in a second. So the first meeting sorry, I keep calling it meeting the first class that we took this morning was about branding and social media and agencies and contracts and honestly, it was so informative and it was so just super helpful. And just some quick little tidbits was. We talked about branding and how people are branding you all the time without you even noticing. You know, when you meet a stranger on the street, they're making assumptions about you as a person. So why not use that branding as a positive thing for yourself, positive way to market yourself, which was so incredibly helpful. And we talked about social media and and how you can really use social media to our benefit.

Speaker 1:

Then we moved on to agencies and they have a 10 step process to essentially decide if an agent is right for you. And that process was so helpful because, instead of just telling you this is a good agency and this is a good agency and this is a good agency, they really broke it down for us so that we could do it for ourselves and continue doing it for ourselves. This is something that we're going to do forever. So it just was so incredibly awesome. And then we touched really quickly on contracts and I won't go much into depth on this, but it was because it was very quick, um, so that was just up until lunch, and then we went and, um, did our first photo shoot, and for this we get photos. We get one that's like more of a closeup beauty shot and one that was like a stylized look that we got to pick for ourselves.

Speaker 1:

I gave Coco two options of outfits for me to pick and then she picked between the two and, based on what I'm looking for, which is a more editorial look, we picked, um, looking for which is a more editorial look, we picked, um, this like leather jacket, this leather trench, um, which was so incredibly exciting. It was just so great. Y'all, I, I sat down in the hair chair first and then we did like this high pony with a leather jacket, which was just so like sexy and I don't know, chic, and then I moved over into the makeup chair and they just did my face and I just looked so freaking gorgeous. And so Coco like kind of helps you through half of your photo shoot. I started off with Coco and she just really gave me the confidence to get started and the photographers were just so incredible with you know, giving you tips on what you can do to help change it up and help pose you, and and then, once we finished with the shooting with the leather jacket, we went into the second look and that was just like I said, a beauty shot, so just to the face. But we went back into restyle to touch up like makeup and hair and they ended up doing like a wet hair look. So cute, it was incredible.

Speaker 1:

I was seeing some other girls with wet hair looks and I was praying they were going to do a wet hair look, because that is a look that I just love. I think it looks just so chic and just sexy and I don't know, I don't know. It was just amazing. And we did the wet hair look and I worked it, girl, I worked it and the photographer, janie, was just so amazing to work with. She just makes you feel so like you're on fire. Yeah, it was just so great.

Speaker 1:

I I still have another photo shoot tomorrow and I still have an opportunity to get more photos, and I already felt like fulfilled from just that first photo shoot on the first day, which was so I don't know just. I have like teared up today so many times, y'all, because this is such a dream come true. This was on my vision board for the beginning of the year and I cannot believe I made this happen. I made this happen and then the day ended today with coco just giving us a pep talk. We got to ask her questions about her life and all of these different things, and just the day just ended with advice on how to move forward. And it was just such a wonderful day.

Speaker 1:

And I gotta wrap this up because I'm about to go out. We're gonna, we're gonna go out on the town some of the models, um and just blow off some steam and have some fun, and then I have my photo and then I have my other photo shoot bright and early tomorrow. So I will touch base with you tomorrow and I'm going to put together this nice fit for tonight. It was just an incredible day, incredible day. We'll talk to you tomorrow, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so I just finished my last day of Coco Rocha model camp. I just did my six other outfits and, honestly, I don't know how I'm going to do this podcast because I'm just like speechless, speechless. Okay, but before we talk about the amazing day I just had, I just want to tell you guys about last night, because something totally funny happened to me. So I got, so we went out on the town. It was wonderful. We were actually it was a Monday night so nobody else was out. It was literally just like a group of I think maybe 10 or 15 of us models and we were all, um, we just went out to this bar and because we were like the only people there, the bartender was playing music that was like literally just for us. She was playing like girls just wanna have fun and just like these silly, cheesy, awesome songs and then some really cool songs.

Speaker 1:

Actually, too, I had my shoot at eight in the morning and I had to have my entire room packed up and all that stuff, um, before I went into my shoot. So I left probably around 10 o'clock, I think and went back to the hotel because my hair was literally still full of gel from the wet hair look and, honestly, I styled like this sweet ass fit to go out in. It was like these long trench pants and like a model tank top with a blazer jacket, but I didn't put my arms in the blazer, I just like put it around my shoulders. A Michael Kors purse that was shiny. And then I put on these platform shoes, and my trench pants are a little bit long and I thought they needed to be hemmed, but with these platform shoes it was just like makes me look like really tall and really long. So, um, we went out and it was so awesome.

Speaker 1:

I left around 10 and then so I get back to the hotel room I still need to like wash my hair and blow dry my hair and get it all set for the next day and so I get back to the room and I'm like feeling this fit. And so I started taking pictures. Because I just learned all these new model pose techniques and all this stuff. I was like why not take a few pictures in this outfit? Maybe I'll wear it tomorrow for my shoot? And so I took some pictures and y'all, I took some pictures that were incredible. I can already tell how far I've come. Seriously, in one one day I take the photos. They're awesome. I'm like so proud of myself.

Speaker 1:

So I go, I'm going to get in the shower. It's like 11 o'clock, I wash my hair and I have to wash it like twice because it's got so much gel on it. And then I get out of the shower and I get dressed and I go to um, start blow drying my hair. And I get about start blow-drying my hair and I get about halfway through my hair and the blow-dryer is starting to be really mysterious, and by that I mean like the off button doesn't work on it. It's usually, like you know, one of those sliding like I don't know buttons and all of a sudden now it won't turn off. And I'm like, okay, this is sus, but I'm just going to like, I'm just going to keep going. I'm just going to keep trying to like get this to work.

Speaker 1:

But I was like halfway through blow drying my hair and so I was like I really need this hairdryer to work. I have a shoot tomorrow, and so I keep going, I keep going, and then all of a sudden it just dies on me and so I throw on my sweatshirt and a pair of pants and I'm like going to go down the lobby. But it's like 1130 at this point, almost 1145. I'm going to go down to the front desk and see if they have another hair dryer, because I really need this hair dryer so that I can be ready for my shoot tomorrow. So that I can be ready for my shoot tomorrow. And so I literally put my hand on the doorknob to leave the room, to go down to get the hairdryer from the front desk, and the hairdryer just magically turns on because I never unplugged it. So I was like, okay, I'll take the sweatshirt back off and I'll just keep using it. Maybe this is like universal magic and it'll just keep working long enough for me to finish my hair. I literally get through one more strip of my hair and then it just dies on me again. And I was like, oh, fuck this.

Speaker 1:

So I put the sweatshirt back on and I run downstairs and the front desk is like, well, we don't have any, but and I was so nice to the front desk too, because they really needed this and they were like we don't have any, but we, these people, aren't probably going to check in today. He's like holding key cards. And so he's like I'll go grab you a hairdryer from from one of these rooms. And I was like, oh, thank you so much, thank you so much. And I get this hairdryer and it is like a brand new hair dryer and I didn't even realize, until I got the new one, how old and outdated this other one was that I was using. This hair dryer had to have been like 20 years old.

Speaker 1:

And so by the time I get back to the room, my roommate's finally back, because she stayed out a little bit longer than I did, and then we just like talked about the day and how awesome it was, and I blow dried my hair while she, you know, showered, and so I finished blow drying my hair and I think I went to bed at like one o'clock in the morning. But I knew I was like ready to go in the morning. I literally just had to get up and like wash my face and then take my stuff down to the studio and so, yeah, so that's the story from the night before. But as far as today goes, oh my God, guys, oh my God, oh my God, guys, oh my God, oh my God, oh my God.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so I was the first one down there, because you know that's how I roll Gotta be early. I just can't help it. It's who I am and so, because I was down there first, I got to like take the first look at what was on the rack for stuff to use. And there was this very cool black jacket and I don't even really know how to describe it, but it's like this structured jacket that was like this is going to sound like it's going to paint such a picture that makes no sense. But it was essentially like a square blanket that you put your arms through, but it like folded down and had this really beautiful fold to it. So I did use like this jacket with just like a black tank underneath and black shorts, and that's what we started our first look in.

Speaker 1:

And because I wanted more editorial looks I had explained that to the hair stylist and also the makeup artist and because we wanted to get six really different looks out of this process, we started off very simple, with like minimal product and stuff like that, so that we could keep building upon everything, and so we did that first jacket and then we moved on to that outfit that I had wore out the night before you remember that outfit I was telling you about, because hair and makeup were like let's go with the more simple looks first and then let's do the crazy looks last. So that was like that long trench with the blazer Sorry, long like wide, like trench pants I don't know if I'm being clear with the blazer and I just like swung it over my shoulder and then halfway through, like my shoot, with this jacket, the photographer. The photographer's like let's turn, let's have you put this jacket on backwards, and it was incredible, y'all. It looked incredible, incredible, like I can't I can't wait to get these photos back because I just oh, oh, my God, it was just incredible. And so we finished shooting with that look. And then we moved on to this monochromatic gold turtleneck ruffled shirt with the exact same color gold skirt that was like kind of a silky gold and did this very like high class. I don't know I'm having such a hard time describing it because the vibe that I was going for was just like I I'm going to steal your man and I don't know it was. It was just so cool and I'm so glad I invested in having a stylist help me style all these things. Shout out to Riley at Wave and Woven oh my God, I could not have done this without her.

Speaker 1:

And so we did this look, and we started on the floor with some poses and then worked our way up to standing, which was so awesome, and the hairstylist had put my hair up and kind of like these pin curly bun, which was so cool. And then we moved on to this long flowing dress that was like, had a lot of movement, and when I first looked at this dress I was like I don't know if this is a dress that I really like, and then I put it on and saw how it moved with the camera. This dress, when I like would throw the corner up in the air, literally looked like a fan. It was so beautiful. And so we ended up doing like this, these beautiful big movement fan photos with this dress. I put on the platforms just to make me look a little bit taller, have this illusion of some tallness, and I ended up doing like some closer up shots where I fanned the dress behind my face and my head, which came out super cool and awesome. Oh, and we did like this half up hairstyle with some frills, with like some pieces left out around my face that they were using like literally like a blower, like a leaf blower, to like blow these hairs around my face, which looked super awesome, and then we shifted into outfit number five, which was a white tank with an oversized denim jacket, some denim shorts and, um, some white doc martens and this was more of like my cool girl look. We did some really fun stuff with this outfit as well, and we took my hair completely down. She used the blower again, which got some really beautiful movement, did some sitting poses, some closeups, just really played and had so much fun.

Speaker 1:

And then moved into like the grand finale of my last outfit and I had told the makeup all right and I had told the hairstylist that I really wanted to do some sort of like faux hawk or mohawk or something for the last look. And I don't know why this I don't know why. I literally don't know why I just part of me is like a little obsessed with mohawks on women and like a slicked back version or a structured version, and she did the coolest structured mohawk. I can't wait for you guys to see pictures, because this hair was just outrageous and it was my last look, so we really wanted to like push it and we did a really bold eye too on this as well. Um, just a amazing smoky eye, from my, from my makeup artist, and I'll tag all of my my stylist, my makeup, my hair people, my, my photographers, all of that stuff. I'll tag in the show notes too, so you have access to to go see these people and follow them if you'd like.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and my last outfit was this tulle skirt with a slit, almost like a bandeau bra type thing, but it did have straps. There was so much movement in this tulle skirt and we ended up using it in so many ways. We ended up using it like a fan, with the like I had talked about with the dress before, where we're like fanning it back and forth, and then we also ended up like wrapping one of the layers of tool around my shoulders and playing with that, and then also with me, like holding the tool up out to the side and then like some cool fans over my head, and we just we just played with this garment and really, really made it our own thing. And I should have photos in the next seven to ten days, which feels like it's coming so soon, but I just I can't wait to see. From what I saw on set, I was just blown away.

Speaker 1:
