Thank you for tuning into The Podcast Hoard, the podcast about podcasts. I’m your resident dragon, Sydney.

So I finished up Be Not Afraid and man, it’s even better than I thought it was before. I am so glad that they’re doing remakes of the first few episodes, and I’m excited for the possibility of new ones! Though I’m wondering if Metatron is maybe ‘goobing’ it a bit. Now that sounds weird, I know. But I’ll explain. In the movie Meet the Robinsons, the enemy’s name is Goob. There’s a moment in the movie when he’s a kid walking down the hallway and two kids express interest in hanging out with him and compliment him, and then he narrates ‘they all hated me.’ So now I use that term for when you think that people hate you when they don’t.

But now that Be Not Afraid is done, I can consult my spreadsheet and see which one I want to listen to next. Yes, I’m that much of a nerd that I have a spreadsheet. It’s helpful, ok?

So I went through my fictional podcast category and decided on Camlann. The description of this one is “Camlann is a post-apocalyptic fantasy by Ella Watts from Tin Can Audio. It’s a serialized fiction podcast inspired by folklore and Arthurian legends. Alternatively - it’s about three idiots and a dog in Wales, fighting for their lives.” It sounded interesting and hilarious, and it has nine episodes and a blooper reel, which I’m personally excited about. I know I make mistakes when recording and when I do, I tend to sing to myself. It’ll be interesting to hear how other people react to their own mistakes.

And, just to spice things up, I chose a nonfictional podcast as well, The Splatbook. I follow the creator, Kyle ‘Map Crow’ on my side youtube channel, so I figured that I’d enjoy his podcast as much as I enjoy his channel. The description is “Your favorite tabletop RPG design topics podcast.” And since I’m just starting to play Dungeons and Dragons as a DM, I’m hoping that will help me along. I mean, the show has ninety episodes. I’m sure there’s a tip or two I’ll find helpful or spark something else in there. I’m joking, I’m sure it’s absolutely chock full of interesting stuff. Like I said, I follow Kyle on youtube so I’m like ninety-nine point nine percent sure I’ll like this podcast.

I’m excited to start those, so I’ll update you on my blog when I do as well as on this podcast.

Thanks for listening to this episode! Feel free to drop by my Tumblr The Podcast Hoard if you have any suggestions you want to throw my way. Otherwise- happy listening, and I’ll see you in two weeks.
