Thank you for tuning into The Podcast Hoard, the podcast about podcasts. I’m your resident dragon, Sydney.

Sorry about the long delay, life got a bit busy. But I will put more time into listening to podcasts. Not just for you, but because I actually like it too. I’ve been avoiding it in favor of other hobbies, but I’ve missed it. So time to get back in.

The podcasts I said I would listen to last week were the fictional one Camlann and the non-fictional one The Splatbook. Let’s start with The Splatbook. Mainly because I haven’t started Camlann. Just ignore that. Don’t worry about it.

The hosts Kyle and John and any guests they have seem like they have a blast talking about everything, at least in the nine episodes I’ve listened to so far.

I’ve liked this podcast a lot because listening to people talk about stuff they’re passionate about is always SO interesting to me. A lot of times, it’s something I don’t know about so I get to learn something. This podcast feels like overhearing a really interesting conversation, but without the feeling of being suuuuper creepy if you want to listen to the whole exchange. These people put their thoughts onto the internet for free, so you’re allowed, and actually encouraged, to listen in.

Another thing I’ve really liked about The Splatbook is that I recently started DM’ing for Dungeons and Dragons, so hearing about other games really helps me to realize that D&D isn’t the only TTRPG out there. Like, logically I know that, but it’s hard to remember with like almost every TTRPG actual play show being D&D.

But really, the main thing I’ve loved is how much fun they seem to have. They’re friends talking about their hobbies and goofing off, and they share it for the world to listen to. That’s pretty awesome.

If you want to listen to the podcast yourself, I’ll link the podchaser link in the description.

Thanks for listening to this episode! Feel free to drop by my Tumblr The Podcast Hoard if you have any suggestions you want to throw my way. Otherwise- happy listening, and I’ll see you in two weeks.
