SPEAKER_01Hey, welcome, welcome, welcome. Thank you for tuning in to another episode of A Conversation of Hope. Last week's weekly challenge was to perform one act of kindness for somebody else. And the week before, we had talked about making a gratitude list and reviewing it twice a day. Hopefully, you have had a chance to incorporate that into your daily habits. The happiest people are the ones who live in a state of gratitude. Alright, back to last week's challenge. A random act of kindness. I was able to be on both ends of that this week. My son, who is 20, invited me to lunch at a nice restaurant. At the end of the meal, he bought the meal, which was wonderful. Most of the time I ended up buying, but I understand he's only 20, so that was really cool for him to pay for that. And I had time with my son. I was really thankful for that. My chance to do a random act of kindness was to pour into a coworker. I realized it was her birthday, and I wanted to do something special for her. This would be her first birthday without her husband. Her husband died nine months ago. So I knew it would be a tough day for her. The employees and I did up a cake, passed around cards for everyone to sign, and I imagined her husband in heaven, thinking, I hope someone does something special for my wife on her birthday. Because of the efforts of everyone, she ended up having a very good birthday. Email me what you were able to do for your random act of kindness, and I'll be able to share it with the rest of our community. In a world where you could be anything, choose to be kind. Golden rule living at its finest. This week, I am so excited to talk about the power of your words. The words you choose to speak over yourself and others will make a massive impact on the quality of the life you live. Let's start with you. Hopefully, your self-talk is one of I can do this, I will make it happen. Nothing is gonna stop me. Not words of defeat. Always be your biggest fan and believe in yourself first so you can show up to be the best version of you to others. Positive self-talk is one of your greatest weapons to living your best life. If you're not for you and don't believe in you, it will show to others, and you will not project the confidence needed to excel in every area of your life. Take time to listen to your self-talk and make immediate corrections if needed to ensure a positive dialogue. If you're a parent or you hear your kids say something negative about themselves, it makes you cringe. You don't ever want them downing themselves. Make sure you are not downing yourself. There are enough critics out there. You don't want to be your worst critic. Speak words of life over yourself. Your words hold tremendous power. What you speak into relationships will determine how they grow. Are you speaking life and encouragement into the people around you? Are you using uplifting, empowering words when talking about your spouse, partner, children, friends, boss, or employees? Words are seeds. What you speak will always bring a harvest. You will build stronger, healthier relationships in every area of your life by speaking positive, can-do words into them. You only get one life. Make it count by spreading positivity wherever you go. On March 8th, it was International Women's Day, and my daughter posted the following about her mom, my lady of love. Brittany said, Yesterday was International Women's Day. I am so incredibly proud to have such a strong, amazing mother, but an amazing role model as a woman and an amazing grandma. She is the definition of a woman. The way that she raised me and my brother, with the things our family was dealing with, always supporting my dad, supports her entire family, supported me through everything I went through. And never once has she ever complained about it. I absolutely love my mom. And if you have her in your life, you are very lucky. That was so awesome to see my daughter pour out on my wife like that. I was so excited. And then as a dad, I was able to speak some encouraging words to my daughter who is looking for the right man right now. So I texted her the following words. Always remember you are the most beautiful, intelligent, brilliant, wise, caring, kind, loving, bold, courageous, loved single lady walking the planet Earth. Any man that gets the incredible opportunity to date you better realize how blessed he is. I always want to make sure I'm encouraging her and that she knows who she is. Words are just so powerful. I am so glad that they have an International Women's Day, as I believe women are the heroes of the world. You look at moms and all that they do for the families and the kids. Then you look at single moms. Wow, amazing all the things they're able to do. True heroes. Alright, time for a joke break. Why couldn't the skeleton go to school? His heart just wasn't in it. I know it's pretty corny. I recently came across a great story that I would love to share with you. Seven-year-old boy has helped thousands of veterans after watching a video about homelessness. Seven-year-old Tyler Stallings may not have superpowers, but in light of how many people he's helped, he definitely deserves to wear a cape. The youngster has spent the last three years helping thousands of Maryland veterans. He became first inspired to lend a helping hand when his mom, Andrea, taught him about veteran homelessness in 2015. On a whim, I showed Tyler a video about the sacrifices that people make to serve our country, says Andrea, who is from a family of veterans. When she went on to say that their family was unable to build homes for veterans who don't have them, Tyler asked if he could simply give them everything else they might need. He began filling hero bags with clothes, shoes, snacks, toiletries, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, shaving gel, and hand sanitizer. With his mom's help, he was able to start handing them out to local vets at the Maryland Center for Veteran Education. But it didn't end there. At first, it was hard for people to take a four-year-old seriously, says Andrea. It took me a while to find a shelter that would let him come in and help. But when shelters like MVT finally did, they loved having him there. It's nice to have a child in an environment like that. We could take packages with toiletries and grooming products to thank people for their service, and they would take whatever they needed. Over the course of the next three years, the youngster has given away over 2,000 hero bags and gift cards to the homeless. Additionally, he partnered with local mattress manufacturers to provide 250 mattresses for the vets. To date, the youngster has raised over $17,200 in GoFundMe donations. He hopes to use a portion of the donations to start his own nonprofits so he can help other kinds of homeless people as well. And his mother could not be more proud of him. Recently, Tyler showed up to an event to thank a veteran who had suffered from 15 strokes. The look on the man's face when Tyler handed him a hero bag was just amazing, says Andrea. Maybe no one has ever made these veterans feel their contributions are significant. This is how we show our appreciation. What a great story. Alright, y'all. It's time to recap my top three podcast episodes of the week. Number one, you are enough. Breaking free from self-doubt from Louise Hay. Just a great one with a lot of great tips and points. The more you dwell on what you don't have, the more you won't create. What you put your intentions on in your life grows. Make positive statements on how you want your life to be. Always make statements in the present tense. Love yourself first. Never criticize yourself. Self-approval and self-acceptance are key to making positive changes. Always say, I approve of myself. Thoughts have no power over us unless we give them power. Release other people's opinions. My second favorite podcast episode of the week was Darren Hardy. In the end, only a few things matter. Darren Hardy was an editor for Success Magazine, and he was invited to talk to an older gentleman who was a centenarian. He was 100 years old, massively wealthy, very successful. The hundred-year-old man shared his life advice. Only a few things in life matter. Find the things that matter, stick with them, and master them. Find the vital things that you're good at and stick with those. Sometimes saying no to the things that you're not great at is the key to success. Don't wait till you're 100 to chase the things that don't really matter in the end. Very good advice. And then my third favorite episode of the week for a podcast was Gary Brecca, the morning routine that will supercharge your energy levels. If you haven't heard of Gary Brecka yet, he's amazing. He's a human biologist. He's all over social media. He's a huge impact on a lot of people having very good health. And it's Gary Breca, B-R-E-C-K-A. He talks about what to do to have great energy levels in the morning. Recharge your body in the morning with some simple habits. The way you wake up in the morning is the foundation for a great day. All right, here we go. 10 minutes of sunlight exposure when you wake up. Just direct sunlight exposure. Powerful. Drink a large glass of water. First thing. Breath work. Three rounds of deep breaths. Gratitude list. Focusing on the things you're grateful for. Cold exposure. Either taking a cold plunge or a cold shower. I usually do a cold shower. Try to do three minutes of ice cold water. Movement. Maybe a 20-minute walk in the morning, some light yoga. And then try to delay caffeine by about 60 to 90 minutes after you wake up. And that's when it'll work the best. Once again, Gary Brecka is an amazing human biologist. If you want amazing health, check out all of his stuff. We're in the final stretch. Let's finish with a super great weekly challenge. In honor of International Women's Day, and holidays are so awesome out there. Please text a woman in your life that had a positive impact on you and just text them some really kind words or call them and thank them for all they did for you. Women are truly amazing. Email us at gpx freedom at gmail.com. Share who you were able to text and any conspiring stuff, and we'll share with the community. Super excited about that. Alright, y'all. Don't forget, and I mean this, I really truly do. You yes you you are amazing. You are a one-off. You are invaluable to all around you. You make a difference. Only you can do what you have to give the world. Thank you for being you. I want you to have a super, super amazing week. You deserve it. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and until next time, we'll talk to you later. God bless.
