SPEAKER_00Welcome. Thank you for taking your valuable time to listen in to a conversation of hope. Just you doing this tells me that you are in the top 10% of people as you're trying to grow yourself and become a better person. I promise you, I will give you all that I have each and every week to help you achieve that amazing life that you deserve. She makes all this happen. Thank you, sweetie. I love it. I'm glad we've had 35 years together and I'm looking forward to the next 35. All right, y'all. Two quick quotes that I saw that I just felt we needed to share. John Gordon put out one of the quotes was if they praise you, show up and do the work. If they criticize you, show up and do the work. If no one even notices you, show up and do the work. Just show up and do the work. Just keep showing up, doing the work and leading the way. He had another good one. Expect to win today. That's what I want for you. Expect to win today. He says champions expect success. Their positive beliefs often lead to positive actions and outcomes. They win in their mind first. So really good stuff there. Let's talk about what this week is about. It's going to be about attitude and how it will help you go to the next level in every area of your life. You master a positive attitude, and everything and everyone around you will be better off for it. A positive attitude is a hundred percent choice. No matter what you are going through, you can choose to approach it with an uplifting positive attitude. It's not always easy, trust me, for me either, but it's definitely the way to go. To maintain a positive attitude, you have to have a specific game plan. It will never just happen for you. I want to share with you 10 things that I do daily to ensure my attitude stays positive. If I stop doing these 10 things daily, I can instantly see the difference in my attitude and my daily performance. So I created this list after years of not being able to consistently have a positive attitude. Then I thought, what are some of the things that when I'm doing them, I feel a lot better? So this list was probably created maybe three years ago. And I'm 53 right now. So it took me a while to figure this out. Hopefully, and I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out a lot quicker than me. So for me, I just have in my notes and my iPhone, it just says the big 10 dailies. Number one, for me, Joel Devotional Prayer with Shannon. So with my Lady of Love, we do a devotional every night. It's maybe five or 10 minutes, if that. Morning routine. So when I get up in the morning, I usually do some praise music. I have a playlist that's called Dynamic Morning. And so I put together my favorite songs. I have some affirmations as well in my notes in my iPhone. I read through some of those that I created for myself just to remind me of what the priorities are. And then I work out daily. So for me, at least six days a week, a lot of times seven, I work out. I know that if I work out, and I always do it on my lunches, the mental benefit is amazing. The energy benefit is amazing. It's a great way to relieve stress and just have those endorphins flood your body. And if I miss a couple workouts, maybe two or three, my wife will even ask me, Have you worked out lately? Because I'm a different person if I don't work out. I like to eat the right foods. I don't always eat the right foods, but I like to try. Having some eggs every day, a lot of water, a wheatgrass shot in the morning. And then if I want sugar, I always just have a little bit of honey, which stops me from eating a ton of different sugar, which I pretty much want every day. So that's been a challenge for me. So just having honey around has been great because I can take a couple drops of honey and not eat the giant piece of cake. A growth podcast daily, quality time with God and the ones I love is the number one priority for me. And then laughing, that's something I need to work on, but my wife is amazing at it. I'm just laughing three times per day. Belly laughs weekly, or you're just loving it. And if I do those things every day, it really does set me up for having a positive attitude, positive outlook on life, a lot of energy and a lot of focus and stuff. So I would encourage you just find that a list that works good for you. For example, my wife, she loves just drawing on her iPad. For her, that is everything. So for me, working out's good. But for her, if she just grabs her iPad, sits there, and draws for a few hours, it's literally like she went to a therapist. So think about that. You have to strategically do things daily to ensure that you're gonna have that positive attitude. I am so excited for you to create your own list and have fun doing it. Always remember it's a choice. So having a positive attitude when you wake up in the morning, it's not just gonna happen. You have to choose, am I gonna have a positive attitude today or am I not? So it's a choice, and boy, is it worth having? Because just changing that perspective and attitude can make a day that most people would think would be a terrible or challenging day. You can have a whole different perspective and attitude about it, and you're like, no, there was a lot of great things that happened, and so focusing on that is huge. All right, here we go. Let's take a quick deep dive into having a positive attitude. Things you can do to help with it if you're struggling right now and having that positive attitude. So I wanted to share some of this stuff with you. A positive attitude can significantly affect your life in both mental and physical ways. Here are some key benefits. Improve mental health. So you'll have improved mental health. A positive outlook can reduce stress, lower the risk of depression, and enhance emotional resilience. Better physical health. Optimism is linked to lower blood pressure, strong immunity, and a reduced risk of chronic diseases. Enhanced relationships. Positive people often attract others and maintain healthier, more positive relationships. Increased productivity. A good attitude can boost motivation, creativity, and problem solving skills, leading to better performance at work, school, or in any area of your life. A greater life satisfaction. Maintaining a hopeful and constructive mindset helps people feel more content regardless of the challenges that are around them. And then also we got some examples or tips of how to develop a more positive attitude. So here's some of those tips. Number one, practice gratitude. Keep a journal or list where you write down three things that you're grateful for every day. It is so powerful just to live in an attitude of gratitude. It helps shift your focus from what's wrong to what's going well. Another thing you can do, surround yourself with positive people. Spend time with those who uplift you, support you, and encourage you. So that core group of friends is always priceless. It's priceless to have that inner circle of positive people that are pouring into you and not just taking from you. Positivity is contagious, and being around it can change your outlook. Also, challenge negative thoughts. When you notice a negative thought, ask yourself if it's really true or if there's a more hopeful way to see the situation. It trains your brain to reframe challenges constructively. So when you challenge those negative thoughts, your brain will start to challenge them on its own, going, Oh, wait a minute, is that true? Take care of your body, exercise, eat well, sleep enough. Physical health directly impacts mood and mental clarity. And then celebrate small wins. Acknowledge progress, even if it's tiny, it builds confidence and momentum. Use positive affirmations. Repeat encouraging phrases like I am capable, or today is full of opportunity. It helps rewire your mindset over time. So you'll literally rewire your mindset by constantly going, wait a minute. I don't know, I'm capable of that. Today is a great day, and it's going to be full of opportunity. Limit negative inputs, reduce exposure to toxic social media, news, or people. Less negativity around you means fewer things dragging your mindset down. Ooh, and then I came across a bunch of little short stories of positive attitudes and how it affected different people. J.K. Rawling. Before publishing Harry Potter, J.K. Rawling faced multiple rejections from publishers, was a single mother living on welfare and struggled with depression. Despite the hardships, she kept believing in her story and pushed forward with hope and determination. So her positive attitude literally was why we see, you know, Harry Potter. And uh all that came from her saying, no, no, I know this is a good story. I know that it's gonna work out. Today she's one of the best-selling authors in history and an inspiration worldwide. Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey grew up poor and even lived in a van for a time. Early in his career, he faced repeated rejections in the entertainment industry. He wrote himself a check. This is so cool. I heard this years ago and it's always stuck with me. He wrote himself a check for $10 million for acting services rendered, is what he put in the little memo note, and dated it five years in the future. So long before he was even a success, he took the time to write that check, put it out there, kind of just having that vision and that hope that it would happen. He carried it in his wallet as a symbol of faith in his dream. Within that time, within the five years, he earned exactly that amount for his role in Dumb and Dumber, launching him into superstar status. Bethany Hamilton at 13, surfer Bethany Hamilton lost her arm in a shark attack. Instead of giving up, she returned to surfing just one month later. Can you believe that? She conquered her fear of having the sharks in the water and all that and returned within a month. Wow, I don't know if I could do that. That's amazing. And then she went on to become a professional surfer, an author, and a motivational speaker. Nick Vuchikit has no limbs and no limits. Born without arms and legs, Nick faced extreme bullying and depression in his youth. He chose to focus on what he could do instead of what he couldn't. With faith and a strong mindset, he built a meaningful life. Today he's a motivational speaker. I've seen him in person, y'all. Amazing. If you get a chance to see him ever, go see him, listen to what he has to say. It's amazing. He's a speaker, author, and founder of a nonprofit. He inspires millions of people around the world. Chris Gardner, he went from homeless to Wall Street. Gardner was a homeless single father living on the streets while pursuing a competitive, unpaid internship in finance. He stayed hopeful, worked hard, and never gave up. Despite impossible odds, he became a successful stockbroker and author of The Pursuit of Happiness, which was made into a movie by Will Smith. I'm telling you, mindset makes a difference because always remember, y'all, everybody is going to face adversity. Everyone out there, even the successes that we look at, they still get up and they still face adversity. Things still come at them, but it's all in that mindset and that positive attitude that makes a big difference. All right, so let's do some quotes of the week. And I think you're going to enjoy these from Zig Ziggler. What you get by reaching your destination is not nearly as important as what you will become by reaching your destination. Motivation gets going and habits gets you there. Make motivation a habit and you will get there more quickly and have more fun on the trip. The basic goal reaching principle is to understand that you go as far as you can see. And when you get there, you will always be farther. You are the only one who can use your ability. It is an awesome responsibility. Ambition, fueled by compassion, wisdom, integrity, is a powerful force for good that will turn the wheels of any industry and open the doors of opportunity for you and countless others. If we don't start, it's certain that we will never arrive. And then last one, obviously, there is little you can do from learning nothing. So powerful quotes. And now it's time, and I'm sorry, but joke of the week. Alright, first one I think you might even retell. It's pretty good. Alright, why do birds fly south every winter? Have you ever wanted that? Because it's too far to walk. Alright, whoa, whoa, wait a minute. This is just in. Bonus joke. Alright. Where do werewolves purchase gifts? They purchase those gifts at Beast Buy. Alright, y'all. Sorry you had to hear those, but they are pretty funny. Pretty funny. Here we go. So we got two great stories of the week. Dad gives kidney to little girl after daughter dies following her own transplant. A dad has bravely donated his kidney to save an 11-year-old girl who reminded him of his own daughter who passed away. Andy Emmett says he offered himself up without hesitation when he discovered young Amber was in desperate need of a kidney to save her life. It's a heart wrenching story. Emmett's daughter Sarah died from kidney disease at just eight years old despite her tireless search for a donor. She had been battling congenital nephretic syndrome and other complex health issues since she was born, spending much of her life at the Leeds General Infirmity and Martin House of Hospice. After a brave fight and a widespread campaign that was supported by soccer team Leeds United and England national football player, she managed to finally get a kidney transplant. However, tragically passed away exactly 364 days after receiving the new kidney. I donated a kidney because a kind stranger donated one to my daughter, said the 55-year-old Emmett. I saw the appeal for Amber, and there were so many similarities between Amber and Sarah that I felt I just had to put myself forward, and luckily, it was a very good match. The Yorkshire native is recovering well and has returned to his job at Northern Power Grid. His manager, Amanda White, has expressed her gratitude and pride for Andy, saying, I am scared stiff to donate my blood, so I don't know how in the world he donated a kidney. He is just amazing. As a team, we are really proud of Andy and we wish both him and Amber a full and speedy recovery. So we have this second story. Man finds a heartfelt note in the mailbox from firefighters who saved his home during Palisades fire. Following the California wildfire last month, a Pacific Palisades resident anxiously awaited an opportunity to return to his home and examined the damage after the January fire that devastated his neighborhood. Tony Nesbor's home, overlooking the ocean, held priceless memories of his wife, Christina Kinney, who had sadly passed away a year ago. The belongings she left behind carried deep sentimental meaning for Tony, and he prayed they were saved from the fires. Soon his whole family felt overwhelming relief when they learned that Tony and Christy's house was miraculously saved. Upon returning to home on january twenty fourth, Tony discovered a heartfelt letter left in the mailbox by four heroic firefighters explaining how they saved his home. The letter said, We are sorry for the devastation your neighborhood has endured. It is truly heartbreaking, and we can only imagine the toll it has taken on everyone affected. When we returned a few days later, it brought us great relief to see that we were able to save your house. The house to the right of you was completely on fire and burning the fence, about to catch your house on fire. We stopped the fire from burning through the side door and kept the fire from your deck. Our amazing team has found solace on your deck, gazing out at the beautiful Pacific Ocean. It has offered a moment of calm amidst the chaos. The pink ribbon, if it is still there, means the house was a safe, and it gave us great pride to hang it. That you and your neighbors are in our thoughts as we rebuild and recover. Hats off and shout out to every firefighter out there. I know my father-in-law was a captain of the fire department. And man, some of the stories you hear about what firefighters do, they truly are one of our biggest heroes of the world. All right, y'all. It's time for our top three podcast recap. First one, Zig Ziggler, your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude. Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking. One of the things Zig Ziglar says that really sticks with me is he'll open some of his speeches by saying, Is there something that you could do today that would make everything in your life worse? And everyone's like, Whoa, okay, I get that. But then he follows it up by saying, If that's the case, then there's definitely something you can do today to make everything in your life better. And he's right. It's so true. It's not what happens to you that determines how far you go in life, it's how you handle what happens to you. You can have everything you want in life if you'll just help enough other people get what they want. Gratitude is one of the quickest ways to improve attitude. Failure is an event, not a person. Attitude is not just something you have, it is something you build. Daily affirmation, surrounding yourself with positive influences, setting goals, and focusing on solutions will all help you nurture and build a winning attitude over time. Wow, a lot of what we've already heard, but it's so cool to hear an echo from Zig Ziglar on that. That's awesome. All right, y'all. Number two, when it all falls apart, listen to this is the title of it. And this is from Nick Vochevik. We just talked about Nick earlier. He is a success story. His positive attitude is huge. He is a man that has no arms and legs, but he's a motivational speaker all over the world. So what he says, you don't know what you can achieve until you try it. His parents encouraged and loved on him. It was priceless to him. So a lot of times when you're loving on people and encouraging them when they're going through stuff, they'll never forget it. It's absolutely priceless. I didn't know this, but he said a janitor in his high school was the one that inspired him to be a speaker. That is so cool. You think about the janitor too. He's a janitor in a high school. That's why every role, no matter what you do or who you are, is as important as the other one, in my opinion. They're all important. Everyone is. And so a janitor inspired him to be a speaker, and now he is motivated and helped encourage millions of people. That is just awesome. No matter what role you have in life, you can make an impact on someone else's life. He says you are beautiful exactly the way you are. And I agree with that 100%. You don't have to wait till someday to have fun and feel like you're worth a million bucks. You are right now. Never ever give up. Powerful podcasts. Like I said, I've seen them in person, absolutely amazing. All right, a third one, Brianna Weiss. We are always waiting for the big breakthrough moments. But real change happens in micro shifts. She talked about putting her phone down and putting it on do not disturb has literally changed her life. Putting up boundaries. You know, you it's a lot of times we gotta say no. Hey, can you do this? Can you do kids? If we overcommit, then we're running for everyone else, but we don't ever have any time for ourselves. Real change happens with the little things, not usually the big things. Decide what kind of life you want to live and who you want to be. Surround yourself with people that will help you achieve your goals. So she talks about, and we talked about it too, it's a choice. So every day when you get up, you have a choice of where you're gonna go, what the attitude you're gonna have. We can conceive of things that don't exist into our imagination. So everything that ever has occurred in the world that's built that you see, the chair, the light bulb, the lights, all that came from somebody's imagination. So you can imagine in your head and conceive of what you want in your future. Imagine the good things and not the bad things. Alright, y'all. We're in the final stretch. The challenge of the week is to do one act of kindness for yourself. So boy, just think of something you can do for you. You have to do things for yourself. Take that self-care so that you can show up the best version of you for others. And frankly, you deserve it. Life can be challenging. And take that time for things that you enjoy to do, things that you love to do. Like I talked about my wife, she loves to draw. So I absolutely make sure that on our days off and stuff, that we have plenty of time so that she can draw and enjoy things that she enjoys doing. And then for me, I'll get up in the morning, I'll go work out. I'm pretty content. That sets me up for a good day. Alright, y'all, this is our wrap-up. Please receive these words of life. I want to speak all these over you, and I really mean it when I say it. You always know it's from my heart. This isn't a game, this isn't a joke. I really am putting this podcast out because I want people to know what I'm gonna say. You are a masterpiece. You are a one-off, you're a difference maker, you're smart, you're intelligent, you're bright, you're kind, you're caring, and your absolute best days are straight ahead of you. Thank you for being a great part of our community as we are on the road to one million. Have an amazing week, y'all, and my goodness, God bless. All right, have a good one.
