SPEAKER_01Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Thank you for taking your valuable time to listen into a conversation of hope. As always, right from the start, I want to remind you, you are more than enough. You have what it takes. You are a victor and not a victim. You are a champion and you truly have your best days ahead of you and not behind you. In this episode, you will see the passionate side of me come out. And I have a lot of passion in sharing this topic with you today because I really want everyone to have tremendous self-confidence. And you can if you just apply what we talk about today. Here is the thing I want you to know. So I'm going to say it a couple times because I just really want it to sink in. Sometimes when we say something, your mind automatically goes, No, no, that's not me, no, that's not me. I just please receive what we're saying today. I promise you, if you've ever struggled with your self-confidence, I want you to look at it in a little bit of a different way. So you can really absorb it. I'm going to say it a couple times. Like I said, I'm not just blowing smoke, but I believe it with every fiber of my being. My kids, my wife, they've heard this their whole lives, and all have tremendous self-confidence. So here we go. This is the truth. And I mean it. There is not a human being walking planet Earth that is better than you. There's not a human being walking planet Earth that is better than you. Seriously. There's literally not any human beings out there that are walking planet Earth that are better than you. It does not matter your age, your race, your gender, your amount of degrees, gold medals, none of that makes someone better than you. If you are waiting until you get a certain degree or financial status or a certain physique or grade in school or a championship before you fully believe in yourself and how great you are, please stop waiting today and simply believe it now. Because it's true. You are a one-off masterpiece and you are the only one who can ever bring all the great gifts that you have to this world. We need you. We need you at 100%. And we need all your gifts so that we can be better off. So all of us can get better. If someone in your life is constantly telling you you're not good enough or you don't have what it takes, you need to seriously evaluate if you need to be in that relationship. Once again, you are special, you are unique, and you have what it takes to achieve every dream in your heart. If you're thinking, but Brett, you don't understand. I failed in business, or I had a divorce, or I got fired from a job, or I've lost control of my body. I would say we've all failed. Most of us numerous times. I know I have, and we'll continue to have some failures in our lives as we move forward. That's part of life. That's okay. There's no perfect human walking planet Earth. I'm telling you, it still does not change the fact that no one on Earth is better than you. I don't care if you're a janitor or if you're a high-powered attorney. I don't care if you're a trash truck driver or a doctor. No one on the planet is better than you. Period. Be proud of who you are and the race that you're running. If you're not where you want to be, you can change that. You can change it and be where you want to be. You can accomplish all your dreams, your goals. Because once again, no one on planet earth is better than you. Period. Think about this. When you look at your finger and you look down at your finger, that's the only fingerprint that will ever exist. It's unique to you. Every human that has walked planet Earth before or will after you will never have the same fingerprint, nor will they have the same palm print or the eye print. You are a one-off and you were created for greatness. I'm currently reading a book by Patrick Milano. It's called Champion Mindset. He is the tennis coach of Serena Williams. And he's coached many, many, many famous tennis players. He has tennis coaching schools all over Europe. And he talks about how Serena Williams had the greatest self-confidence ever of any player he's ever coached or even interacted with. She truly believed she could overcome every obstacle and every challenge. He shares one time when she was deathly sick with 104 fever, but still wanted to win a certain championship. So she literally got out of bed, went, played the championship, won it, and then went right back to bed because she was so sick. Telling you, man, she, her belief in herself and what she could do overcame every obstacle in her path. I want that for you. Here is a quick recap of the book, Champion Mindset. And man, when you get a chance, get a copy of it. So here's a recap. Champion Mindset. An athlete's guide to mental toughness by Patrick Motolo, renowned tennis coach to Serena Williams. In this book, he dives deep into the mental and emotional frameworks that separate good athletes from great ones and good people from great ones. Every bit of this can be applied to any person. You do not have to be an athlete. Number one, mental strength is the foundation. Mental toughness is more important than talent. He's coached hundreds of athletes. Many talented athletes fail because they don't know how to handle pressure, setbacks, or self-doubt. Champions train their minds like they train their bodies, deliberately and consistently. Number two, embrace pressure. Pressure is not the enemy. It's a privilege. Patrick teaches athletes to reframe pressure as an opportunity to rise rather than something to avoid. Number three, confidence is built, not born. So that tells all of us there's even if you don't have confidence, you can certainly build it. True confidence comes from preparation, resilience, and self-awareness. It's about knowing you've done everything you can to be ready mentally and physically. Number four, master your inner voice. Ooh, this one's so powerful. Champions are self-aware of their thoughts and learn to silence or reframe negative thought. Patrick emphasizes using a positive, instructive inner dialogue instead of a critical one. And then number five, failure is fuel. Failure is inevitable, he says, and necessary. Patrick views losses as lessons. Every setback provides data to learn, adjust, and grow. Number six, discipline equals motivation. Motivation comes and goes, but discipline is what builds greatness. Champions stick to the plan even on the hard days, especially on the hard days. Number seven, emotional control. Patrick stresses the importance of controlling emotions under stress, not suppressing them. Breathing techniques, routines, and mindset training helps athletes stay calm and focused in the heat of competition. And then having purpose driven goals is number eight. Set goals that are tied to personal meaning, not just external rewards. Knowing your why helps sustain you through adversity. And then number nine, coach athlete synergy. A champion mindset is often built in partnership with a strong coach or a mentor or a leader. Trust, communication, and mutual belief are essential. And then number 10, growth never ends. The mindset of a champion is always evolving. Even at the top, there's always another level. Champions are lifelong learners. I love that one. I totally agree with that. I think the happiest people, some of them on planet Earth, are happy because they're just continually growing. They don't get stagnant. They're always like, what's next? The final thought on the book the champion mindset is a roadmap, not just for athletes, but for anyone chasing excellence. Patrick shows that greatness is less about talent and more about grit, clarity, and the relentless pursuit of personal mastery. Super, super, super good one. Definitely get out there if you get a chance and please pick up a copy of the book. I really enjoyed it. I just got done listening to it about two days ago. So one of the things that I've also noticed when people have low self-confidence because they compare themselves a lot to others. And that lowers their self-confidence. Here's some thoughts on comparison and stuff. Um we've got Comfort is the enemy of progress by P. T. Barnum. Winston Churchill said success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts. John Shedd said ships are safe in the harbor, but that's not what ships were made for. And then John Akoff said, Don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle. Fear is temporary, regret is forever. Abraham Maslow said you either step forward into growth or back into safety. Jersey Gregor said hard choices, easy life. Easy choices, hard life. And then you can't heal in the same environment that made you sick. Another one, Jim Rohn, discipline weighs ounces, regrets weighs tons. Don't watch the clock do what it does. Keep going. So some really good quotes on just comparison and all that. But let's all as a group start believing in ourselves and realize how great we are. Alright, y'all. Time for some great quotes. And then we'll do our two stories. One of them, one of the stories you're gonna love. I was like, wow, shocked. But here we go. Let's get to the quotes. All of us perform better and more willingly when we know why we're doing what we have been told or asked to do. A lot of times, if you're leading people and stuff, always give them the why. Hey, this is why this is the project's important. This is why we're going after this. It makes people have better buy-in and then they want to do it. Money will buy you a bed, but not a good night's sleep. A house will buy you a home and a companion, but not a friend. So very powerful on that. Money will buy you a bed, but not a good night's sleep. So you can be making a ton of money and still not sleeping well at night because a lot of other things in your life just aren't going very well. But you want it all. That's what we want for you. We want it all, the total package, every area of your life thriving. How about another one? You don't drown by falling in water. You only drown if you stay there. Ooh, that's good. And then last one, remember, you can earn more money, but when time is spent, it is gone forever. Wow. And we'll do it one more time because it's right in front of me, because I keep it in front of me. But here is once again a great quote from John Gordon, which I think sums it all up. And that is in the end, we won't be measured by our bank account, sales number, or wins or losses, but by the difference we made in other people's lives. And we make that difference through relationships. Don't neglect what matters most. So powerful. All right, y'all. Let's get to our stories of the day. First one, pretty awesome. Firefighters, who we know are true heroes of the world, surprise Boy with a brand new bicycle after cutting spokes to free his foot. On December 18th, Fernando Beach Fire Department rushed to the scene of a bicycle collision where a young man was trapped under his bike wheel. Before the firefighters could free the boy named KJ, they had to cut his foot loose from where it was trapped among the smokes spokes of the wheel, ultimately ruining the bike. KJ was then brought to the hospital to be treated for injuries, including a nasty ankle sprain, but seeing how it was the holidays, the firemen felt they had to do something to cheer the lad up. They came to the hospital and surprised him with a brand new bike and helmet. The following day they shared a photograph of the Fernandi Fire Department on the Facebook page with KJ, who also appears to be asleep while he has his new bike and his new gift. His mother Joanna smiled on behalf in the photo, said that the injury left no serious damage, but that KJ was still in shock. This reminds us of what the holidays are truly about. Merry Christmas and happy holidays from the fire department. Wow. What a great story. Instead of just taking care of the little boy and then leaving him at that, get him a brand new bike because he ruined his bike with the bike wreck. Alright, so here's the one that was cool. I was really excited to share with y'all. But this one says different. So this article says two years of exercise reversed 20 years of aging in the heart. That's the longest ever randomized trial on exercise was done. Exercise was in the news recently for being found in the epilomical study to reduce the risk of colon cancer. But what should be in the news is that the study published seven years ago is going somewhat viral on the internet thanks to the profile of a popular health influencer, Dr. Rhonda Patrick. The study found middle-aged adults could reverse 20 years of age-related decline in their heart muscles through a two-year exercise program. And that has effectively turned sedentary 55-year-olds into 30-year-olds. Wow, is that powerful? When viewed through the heart activity monitoring equipment. Being that heart disease is the leading cause of death for most people in the United States, and cardiac strength is inversely correlated with heart disease, is probably one of the most significant studies on exercisers ever carried out. The authors described their trial, which took 61 people, put them on an exercise regimen for two years as the longest randomized controlled trial documenting the psychological effects of supervised, structured exercise on cardiovascular health that was ever performed. The results were mentioned above. Two years of work created a heart capable of working as hard as a 30-year-old's, as if 20 years of aging had been reversed. The training program started light and gradually grew in intensity and duration, with six to ten months representing peak output. The second year was characterized by maintenance period of moderate exercise. Isn't that amazing, everybody? Like, it's never too late. So even if you let your body go a little bit, you can still do things that will reverse the aging of your heart and other parts of your body. I know Gary Brecca, the human biologist, he talks about how every 88 days, every cell in your body is brand new. It just recreates itself. So if you've had an issue with nutrition or not eating the right things or whatever it might be, you can change that and know that if you follow the good program for over 88 days, you now have a new set of cells and you run in your body, and you have a whole different outcome as far as your physical capability and your mental energy on that. So super good stuff. Alright, y'all. And now get ready to lack as it is time for our jokes of the week. Okay, here we go. Did you hear about the guy who invented the knock knock joke? He won the Nobel Prize. Yes, that's true. Alright, why did the chicken cross the playground? He crossed it to get to the other slide. Oh my goodness. Alright, let's get back to it. We're in the final stretch. Time for a quick recap of my top three podcasts of the week. Okay, number one, You're Right Where You Wanna Be by Terry Savell. She's always great, brings a ton of great content. She talks about Steve Jobs. Started Apple when he was 23 years old. And in the first seven years after running his own company, he got fired from his own company. So literally, Apple fired Steve Jobs. So he went out, he started a new company, and Apple ended up buying the company that he started new and brought him back to run Apple. And Steve Jobs says if he had never been fired, it would not have forced him to learn new skills. And being fired made him what he was today. So that was pretty powerful. A lot of people would have been completely defeated being fired from their own company. But he was fired from Apple. He went out and was like, okay, I'll go start my own company, another one. And he did. And it all ended up working out. He was glad that it happened. All right, so here we go. Number two, 90% of what we worry about never happens from Leo Busconi. He talks about don't try to be so perfect. It's okay to make mistakes. Don't take everything so seriously. Take more chances. Take more trips. Spoil yourself. It's okay. 90% of what we're worried about truly never happens. Don't waste a minute of worrying, is what he says. Great podcast, as all the podcasts will be in the show notes for your convenience, so you can quickly listen to every one of them if you want. Listen to the full ones. It's fantastic. All right, number three was Brian Tracy. Everything is hard before it gets easy. Talks about 95% of your success, and we've talked about this, is driven by your habits. It's your daily habits. Einstein said nothing happens until something moves. He talks about taking action. So you can't really get anything accomplished until you start taking action. No one is born with any good habits or bad habits. All the habits we have have been developed over time. The great thing is if we have a bad habit, we can change it. It's nothing cannot be changed. 95% of what you do every day is all habits, and it's so true. From brushing your teeth, driving to work, all that kind of stuff, it's all just a habit. Challenge the bad habits and change them in time. Form good habits and master them, and it will change your life forever. All successful people have great daily habits. Alright, let's talk about the challenge of the week. Alright, please, please, please take time to reflect on what we talked about in the podcast today. Maybe re-listen to it and share it with anyone that you know that has an opportunity with self-esteem or self-confidence. Know that everything I said today, I believe 100%. And I know it is to be true. I know it's to be true. I want you to have bulletproof self-confidence and a true championship mindset. You've got to have that champion mindset. Get that book. Consider buy the book if you can. Listen to it. It really was good. I listened to every bit of it, and it there's so many good nuggets in there. Alrighty. Let's try to close this out the way we started. You are more than enough. You have what it takes. You are a victor, not a victim. You are a champion. Your best days are straight ahead. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever stop dreaming and believing big. Thank you for being a part of our great community as we start to grow to one million. Have a great day, and you know what? Have an even better week. God bless and thanks for tuning in. Until next week, we'll talk to you then.
