Well howdy there, buckaroos. I sure hope you’re settlin’ in cozy… tonight, I’m gonna read to ya from the Good Book. Last time, we talked about Jesus ridin' into Jerusalem on a donkey, and how happy and hopeful the people were to see him. Tonight, we're gonna talk about something called, "The Last Supper"
It happens right in the middle of what some folks call Holy Week. Jesus had been teachin’, healin’, lovin’ people every step of the way… and now He’s sittin’ down with His closest friends for one final meal to celebrate the Passover—Passover is a special meal where God’s people remember how He rescued our friends, the Israelites, from slavery in Egypt by sparing their homes and making a way for their freedom. And on this night… Jesus is about to tell his closest friends how God plans to save them again.
So let’s open up to Luke chapter 22… and hear it just the way it’s written.
