If you love Jesus, you are going to LOVE the Holy Spirit! 

Genesis 1:1-2 NIV

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” 

The Holy Spirit is the power and presence of God with us. 

He reveals and reminds us of our true identity. 

Matthew 3:13-17 NIV

“Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, ‘I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?’ Jesus replied, ‘Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness..’ Then John consented. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” 

John 1:12-13 NIV

“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God –children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” 

Galatians 4:6-7 NIV

“Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, ‘Abba, Father.’ So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.” 

When we know how deeply loved we are, it changes everything.

• It changes the way we see ourselves
• It changes the way we see other believers 
• It changes the way we love the lost

The presence of the Holy Spirit reveals who we truly are and who the Lord is.
