Jessica:

Hello and welcome to the Ponder and Magnify podcast, where our mission is to seek an encounter with Jesus through praying the Rosary, relying on the grace of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Mary. I am so happy that you are here Today. We're going to be praying the Rosary while meditating on the glorious mysteries of the Rosary. Before each decade, you'll be given something to imagine related to the mystery that we're going to be praying the rosary while meditating on the glorious mysteries of the rosary. Before each decade, you'll be given something to imagine related to the mystery that we're praying. However, if the Holy Spirit leads you somewhere different as you're praying, follow that prompting instead, for sure. Before we start, let's pause and reflect on what we're bringing to prayer. What are your joys in this moment? What sorrows are you feeling right now? Is there anything you're currently fearing? What are you desiring or hoping for right now? Who do you wish to pray for? In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen, Jesus, we ask you to speak directly into our present circumstances. Mary, thank you for praying with us and for us now. Holy Spirit, please anoint the gift of our imagination so that we might come to encounter Jesus more deeply through it. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven. He is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen, our Father who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen For an increase in faith. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen For an increase in hope. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen For an increase in love. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be. World without end. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen.

Jessica:

The first glorious mystery is Jesus' resurrection, a reading from the Gospel of John. But Mary Magdalene stayed outside the tomb weeping, and as she wept she bent over into the tomb and saw two angels in white sitting there, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been. And they said to her Woman why are you weeping. She said to them they have taken my Lord and I don't know where they laid him. When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus there, but did not know it was Jesus. Jesus said to her Woman why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for? She thought it was the gardener and said to him Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him and I will take him. Jesus said to her Mary. She turned and said to him in Hebrew, rabbouni, which means teacher.

Jessica:

Mary Magdalene was standing outside of the tomb, weeping in pain and grief, and yet, rather than run away, she had the courage to look more deeply into the tomb, seeking Jesus. And as a result of her willingness to stay in the pain of it just a little longer, looking for Jesus, she became a witness to the resurrection. The presence of Jesus set her free from her suffering. The tomb was transformed from a sign of her grief to the site of resurrection and restoration.

Jessica:

As we pray this decade, consider a place in your heart that feels like a tomb as a result of a past experience of pain or grief. Imagine yourself going there to seek Jesus. If you feel afraid, allow Mary, your mother, to go with you. Trust that when you arrive, Jesus will already be there, waiting to make himself seen, as he did in the garden. Do not let the pain of the tomb scare you. He will turn this tomb into a place of resurrection. Receive from him whatever he wishes to offer you there. He wants to heal you and set you free.

Jessica:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen, glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy.

Jessica:

The second glorious mystery is the ascension, a reading from the Gospel of Luke. Jesus said to them Behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you, but stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high. Then he led them out as far as Bethany, raised his hands and blessed them. As he blessed them, he parted from them and was taken up to heaven. They did him homage and then returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and they were continually in the temple praising God. Jesus had left the earth and the apostles are living in uncertainty of how the plan will unfold, and yet they return to Jerusalem with great joy. What is the source of this joy? They finally believe what Jesus says will occur. It is as if the coming of the Holy Spirit is already a reality for them simply because Jesus said it would happen in the future. They go forth into uncertainty about how things will unfold, completely undisturbed, with a trust in the Lord that makes the unknown exciting.

Jessica:

As we pray this decade, imagine Jesus assuring you of the Father's promise of your eternal joy.

Jessica:

All will be resolved. All will be restored. Every longing of your heart will be satisfied, every fear will be put to rest. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you live with such confidence in Jesus' promise that you can go through your day undisturbed, knowing the reality of eternal joy is coming. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy, amen. The third glorious mystery is the Pentecost, a reading from the Acts of the Apostles. When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together, and suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. Each of those gathered had a tongue of fire rest on their head as a sign of the inrushing of the Holy Spirit. This was an amazing supernatural sign of an even greater supernatural transformation that was taking place hidden in their hearts. Their hearts were completely given over to the love of God and, in turn, a love of souls. This shed new perspective on everything else in their lives. Everything was seen in light of the love of God and souls. Everything in their hearts and minds was properly ordered. As we pray this decade, imagine holding your heart in your hands. Allow Mary to help you gently open it up, see the longings of your heart, watch the Holy Spirit arrive and pour into your heart, enabling you to see your longings in light of the love of God and souls. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen, hail Mary full of grace. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Amen Hail Mary full of grace. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. The fourth glorious mystery is the assumption of Mary into heaven. A reading from the Gospel of John Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God. Have faith also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself so that where I am, you also may be. Mary did not make it to heaven by some perfection of her own doing, but because she kept praying Lord, help me to do your will over and over again, at every moment. It was her dependence on him that was her strength. Often we can feel discouraged when we have to ask the Lord for help again and again, wishing we were able to manage more on our own. But the truth is that our acknowledgement of our need for God is exactly what gets us to heaven. As we pray this decade, ask God for help in your present circumstances. See his delight in your turning to him for assistance. This is exactly what he has been waiting for. It is his joy to be your provider, without you needing to do anything to earn it. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen, hail Mary, full of grace. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o my Jesus. Forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen. The fifth glorious mystery Mary is crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth A reading from the Book of Revelation. A great sign appeared in the sky a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Mary's crown was not a reward for having completed her role as mother. Instead, it extended her maternity to all God had . created In heaven,. Mary labors for each of us with her intercessory prayers that we might be born into eternal life by accepting the gift offered to us in Jesus. As you pray this decade, imagine Mary in her God-given crown walking toward you. See every creature venerating her as she passes out of reverence for the role that God has given her. When she reaches you before you can offer your own act of reverence, see her fall on her knees before you. Hear her ask you, you"my my child, how can I pray for you? What parts of your heart need healing? I wish to put my prayers completely at your service so that you might know how much you are loved by .", our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen, hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Hail, holy Queen, mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry. Poor, banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious, advocate thine eyes of mercy toward us and, after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus jesus, o clement, o loving, o sweet Virgin Mary, pray for us, o Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ, o God, whose only begotten Son, by his life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life. Grant we beseech thee that, while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. What a gift to be united in prayer with you, please, please know that you are in our prayers and we ask humbly for you to be praying for us. Praise be to God.
