Jessica:

Hello and welcome to the Ponder and Magnify podcast, where our mission is to seek an encounter with Jesus through praying the Rosary, relying on the grace of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Mary. I am so happy that you are here. In this episode, we're going to be praying the Rosary while meditating on the glorious mysteries of the Rosary. Before each decade, you'll be given something to imagine related to the mystery we're praying. However, if the Holy Spirit leads your imagination to something different, definitely follow that prompting instead. Before we start, let's pause and reflect on what we're bringing to prayer. What are your joys in this moment? What sorrows are you feeling right now? Do you have any fears in this moment? What are you desiring? Whom do you wish to pray for? In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen, Jesus, we ask you to speak directly into our present circumstances. Mary, thank you for praying with us and for us now. Holy Spirit, please anoint the gift of our imagination so that we might come to encounter Jesus more deeply through it. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven. He is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen. Our Father who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil For an increase in faith. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen For an increase in hope. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen For an increase in love. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen, glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen.

Jessica:

The first glorious mystery is the Resurrection, a reading from the Gospel of Mark. On entering the tomb, Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James and Salome, saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed. He said to them Do not be amazed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised. He is not here. Behold the place where they laid him. The young man in the white robe announces to the women at the tomb the extraordinary miracle that Jesus has been raised, and yet tells them " why should they not be amazed? Because Jesus has done exactly what he said he would do. Jesus told his disciples several times that he would be killed and rise three days later.

Jessica:

Jesus' resurrection is yet another testament that God is faithful to his word. He will do what he says and he has promised each of us eternal life with Him, through Jesus Christ, where there will be no more pain, anxiety, depression, illness, addiction, trauma, grief, sin, death or other suffering of any kind. As we pray this decade, allow yourself to imagine your existence without hardship, with every single need, fully satisfied by the love of God. Hear Jesus promising you a resurrection of your own with such joy, his Sacred Heart on fire with love for you. Ask Mary to pray for you for the grace of faith that is the gift of trusting completely in His word that he will do as he promises in your life and the lives of those you love. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen, hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.

Jessica:

Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Jessica:

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be. World without end. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy, amen. The second glorious mystery is the Ascension, a reading from the book of Acts. When they had gathered together, they asked him Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel? He answered them. It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority, but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up and a cloud took him from their sight. Jesus could have given the apostles the gift of the Holy Spirit right then and there at his ascension. Instead, the apostles are left in uncertainty of how the plan will unfold. As creatures who tend to love control, living in uncertainty can be extremely difficult. And yet Jesus did not leave the apostles in uncertainty to torture them. Instead, he is inviting them to a perseverance in trust and hearts open to receive. This is a continued training for the apostles in allowing the Lord to lead with the times and seasons he has established. As you pray this decade, allow yourself to feel the discomfort of uncertainty, but allow Jesus and Mary to meet you there. Hear them reminding you of the things you can count on. You will be accompanied at every moment. You will be given everything you need in the moment you need it. What you will experience will be more beautiful than what you could ever imagine. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen. The third glorious mystery is the Pentecost A reading from the book of Acts. When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together and suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as a fire which parted and came to rest on each one of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim Before the Holy Spirit gave those gathered the gift of speaking in different tongues. The Spirit gave the gift promised to each of us the love of God. The Holy Spirit poured God's eternal love into the hearts of those gathered. They knew they were loved into eternity, which provided a safety and security that enabled them to act in boldness toward his will. This eternal love filled them with the hope of heaven and they accepted it as a guaranteed reality, Feeling then safe and secure and undisturbed by the threat of earthly persecution or death. The Holy Spirit gave them the gift of speaking in tongues. Feeling such great peace in the promise of their salvation they would do whatever they could for others to come to know this same peace. As we pray this decade, imagine Jesus and Mary on either side of you, with a hand on your shoulder, interceding for you to be able to experience the peace and the promise of your salvation. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen. The Fourth glorious mystery the assumption of Mary into heaven. A reading from the Gospel of John. Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God. Have faith also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself so that where I am, you also may be. How many times did Jesus ask the Father if it was time yet for Mary's assumption? Imagine how he must have longed for this moment to be reunited with Mary. Mary had been a home for Jesus in her pregnancy, kept him alive in his infanthood, taught him to put the Father's will first in all things in his boyhood, encouraged him to keep going in his public ministry when things got tough and accompanied him in his passion and death. She was his teacher, his confidant, his support in suffering, his encouragement, his constant intercessor. She was constantly guiding him and directing him to the Father's will. Imagine Jesus' anticipation to be with Mary again after all they had been through. As we pray this decade, imagine how Jesus felt, reuniting with his mother at the Assumption. Try to feel in your own heart Jesus' love for Mary With this hear in your heart his invitation to see Mary as your own mother, promising you that she will take care of you as she took care of him. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Amen, glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen. The fifth glorious mystery. Mary is crowned queen of heaven and earth, a reading from the Gospel of John. Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary, the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there, whom he loved, he said to his mother Woman, behold your son. Then he said to the disciple Behold your mother. And from that hour the disciple took her into his home. Mary was crowned as mother of heaven and earth, and so she is mother to each of us. She puts her crown in complete service to those entrusted to her, with a receptivity and compassion that gives God so much glory. Having been present at the foot of the cross, Mary witnessed all Jesus suffered for our salvation and participated in this suffering uniquely as Jesus' mother. It is the desire of Mary's immaculate heart that Jesus' suffering should not be in vain and that every soul should be saved through it. This is why we can count on her mercy and her prayers. As you pray this decade. Imagine Mary crowned queen, yet not sitting on some throne. Instead, she assumes her role as queen, on her knees in prayer before the Trinity, praying for you, Anticipating your every need. She is asking the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in your present circumstances. She is asking Jesus to pour out his mercy on you. She is asking the Father to restore you and bring you home. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen, glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o my Jesus. Forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Hail Holy Queen, mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor, banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious, advocate thine eyes of mercy toward us and, after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O Clement O Loving O Sweet Virgin Mary, pray for us, o Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen, o God, whose only begotten Son, by his life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life. Grant we beseech thee that, while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen. Thank you, God, for the gift of the rosary. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for this time of shared prayer. Please count on our continued prayers and we ask humbly for you to be praying for us. Praise be to God.
