Jessica:

Hello and welcome to the Ponder and Magnify podcast, where our mission is to seek an encounter with Jesus through praying the Rosary, relying on the grace of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Mary. I am so happy that you are here. Today, we're going to be praying the Rosary while meditating on the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. Before each decade, you'll be given something to imagine related to the mystery we're praying. However, if the Holy Spirit leads you somewhere different as you're praying, definitely follow that prompting instead. Before we start, let's pause and reflect on what we're bringing to prayer. What are your joys in this moment? What sorrows are you feeling right now? Do you have any fears in this moment? What are you desiring? Who do you wish to pray for? In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Jesus, we ask you to speak directly into our present circumstances. Mary, thank you for praying with us and for us now. Holy Spirit, please anoint the gift of our imagination so that we might come to encounter Jesus more deeply through it. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven. He is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen. Our Father who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen For an increase in faith. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen For an increase in hope. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen For an increase in love. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen, glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o, my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell.

Jessica:

The first glorious mystery is the resurrection, a reading from the Gospel of Mark. When he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. We know from scripture that prior to meeting Jesus, Mary Magdalene was possessed by seven demons. Her soul had once been in such a state that it was a fit home for demons to live. Yet after encountering Jesus, she was healed and transformed and gave her whole life over to him. According to scripture, Jesus reserved his first resurrection appearance for Mary Magdalene, who had once been so far from him.

Jessica:

In Mary Magdalene, we are reminded of the truth that our past that has been repented of and healed by God's grace is no longer an obstacle to our relationship with him. As we pray this decade, consider if there are any past sins that you are holding onto from which you have already received Jesus' forgiveness. See yourself in the garden outside of Jesus' empty tomb. Hear Jesus calling you by name, pursuing you. He invites you to set down these past sins on the ground and come to him. When you set them down, see how they bloom into beautiful flowers, adding to the scenery of the garden. Feel yourself lighter, able to run to him. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Amen, glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy, amen. The second glorious mystery is the Ascension, a reading from the book of Acts but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. When Jesus had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up and a cloud took him from their sight. While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going, suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them. They said Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? After Jesus is taken to heaven, the angels question the apostles why are you standing there looking at the sky? The apostles are looking for Jesus in the sky, failing to see that, by effect of his ascension, Jesus is now present to each of them. As they are on earth. The angels are directing them to this new reality. The apostles are being encouraged not to turn away from Jesus, but to seek Jesus with them in their present moment. As we pray this decade, imagine Jesus directly beside you, wherever you are in this exact moment, so eager to share the moment with you and be present however you need. Ask the Holy Spirit for the grace to attune yourself to the reality of Jesus' presence in this moment. Amen Hail Mary full of grace. Amen Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen, hail Mary, full of grace. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy, amen. The third glorious mystery is the Pentecost, a reading from the book of Acts. We are Parthians, Medes and Elamites, inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya near Cyrene, as well as travelers from Rome, both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs. Yet we hear them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty acts of God. They were all astounded and bewildered and said to one another. What does this mean? The crowds experienced a miraculous gift of the Holy Spirit coming through those preaching, and the crowds were astounded and bewildered, shocked and confused. And yet those preaching were not discouraged because they were not seeking specific fruits from their labors, but were satisfied just to live in the gift that the Holy Spirit was giving them in the moment. In time, this initial shock and confusion gave way to greater conversion, with thousands being baptized. Let us not grow antsy or discouraged when the fruits of our labors do not seem to be paying off in the exact way we hoped to see or in the timing we hoped. When the path to conversion is slow, it is also often lasting. As we pray this decade, imagine a person in your life who you wish to experience God's love more deeply. Resist the temptation to analyze where they stand in their journey or to tell them where they should be. Instead, envision yourself kneeling with Mary and Jesus praying collectively for this person, trusting that your prayer is taking an effect, even if you can't see how. The Father sees your love for this person, and He is cut to the heart by it. Our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen, glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy, amen. The fourth glorious mystery is the Assumption of Mary into heaven, a reading from the Gospel of John. Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God. Have faith also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am, you also may be. Mary lived with no fear of death for herself or those she loved, for she believed wholeheartedly in Jesus' promise of resurrection for us all. In the moment when Mary was taken from earth, she willingly went forth in excited anticipation of heaven, without fear. Imagine how often she called to mind this promise of being in union with God and those she loved in heaven, free from earthly suffering. What strength she must have drawn from living in this promise. As we pray, imagine your own Assumption moment where you meet Jesus in heaven, body and soul. Imagine the feeling of being liberated from all suffering before him. Imagine those you love rejoicing over your arrival, rejoicing over the fact that you made it. Imagine meeting all those who prayed for you along the way, whose prayers helped you make the journey. Imagine the Father welling with tears in pure delight that you are finally home. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen, hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen, hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen, hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen, hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. World without end. Amen. Oh My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. Amen. The Fifth Glorious Mystery, the Crowning of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth. A reading from the Gospel of Luke. Behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name In Mary's crowning as Queen of Heaven and Earth so much is revealed to us about God. He truly is the Mighty One who does great things for us, including giving us Mary. God wishes to give us the gift of a mother who has power from God, in her role as Queen, to assist and guide us to God's will for us, as we pray, see the Father, son and Holy Spirit before you, crowning Mary. As she is crowned, Mary's eyes are on you. Her hands are outstretched to receive you with such eager love. Hear the Father, speak to you. "Receive the gift of this mother as yet another sign that you are loved by me. Hear Jesus, speak to you. Do not be afraid to rely on her as a mother, as I did on earth. She will encourage you in the Father's will, as she did for me. Hear the Holy Spirit, speak to you. I will answer her prayers by providing you with every grace she asks for you. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen, hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor, banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and, after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, o loving, o sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, o holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. O God, whose only begotten Son, by his life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life. Grant we beseech thee that, while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise through the same Christ, our Lord, amen. Thank you, god, for the gift of the rosary. Please count on our continued prayers for you and, please, we ask for you to pray for us. Praise be
