Jessica:

Hello and welcome to the Ponder and Magnify podcast, where our mission is to seek an encounter with Jesus through praying the Rosary, relying on the grace of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Mary.

Jessica:

I am so happy that you are here. In this episode, we will meditate on what Mary's role as Queen of Heaven and Earth means for us as we pray a decade of the Rosary on the fifth glorious mystery Mary's coronation. Before we start, let's pause and reflect on what we are bringing to prayer. What are your joys in this moment? What sorrows are you feeling right now? Do you have any fears? What are you desiring now? Who do you wish to pray for? In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen. Jesus, we ask you to speak directly into our circumstances. Mary, thank you for praying with us and for us now. Holy Spirit, please anoint the gift of our imagination so that we might come to encounter Jesus more deeply through it. The fifth glorious mystery is Mary's coronation, a reading from the book of Revelation. A great sign appeared in the sky a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars. Our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen. I stand before Mary a little ways away. Her mantle radiates light, as if she were clothed with the sun. She stands upon what appears to be the moon. She wears a breathtaking crown of twelve stars. She smiles at me with such warmth. She is altogether beautiful, reflecting the beauty of her Creator. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Jessica:

As I continue to take in the view of Mary, my heart begins to feel a bit intimidated. I become increasingly aware of my sin and weakness as I take in her radiance. Aware of these mounting feelings, she invites me with such tenderness and a smile Come here, my child. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Jessica:

Drawn by her warmth, I move closer to Mary. When I stand before her, she places her hand on my cheek so gently and holds it there as she studies my face with apparent delight. Oh, my child, she says to me. God loves you so much and that makes you so beautiful. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen.

Jessica:

In such close proximity to Mary, I cannot look away from her crown. Proving that she knows my heart, she says to me Do not let this crown intimidate you, my child. God gave me this crown for your sake. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. I remain quiet before her because I do not understand and I do not know what to say. Seeing that I need more help, she goes on to explain My child, this crown is for your sanctification and salvation. It is a sign from God that he will allow my prayers for you to have power to move his heart. In God's great generosity, by my prayers, you shall receive every grace you need for sanctification and salvation. Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. With such excitement and warmth, Mary says to me, let me show you the effects of this crown. She kneels down and begins to pray. Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I present to you this child of yours, whom you created in love with such goodness. I ask you to remember the delight you took in the creation of this precious child. Remember how you designed this child in a way different than any other, to participate in building your kingdom. I beg you to forgive this child for the way she has failed and to restore her to her original goodness, so that she might be a witness to your merciful and compassionate, gentle and humble heart and thus give you glory. Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Jessica:

Mary's prayer on my behalf was so tender, so loving. She saw past all of my many failures to the goodness within me that was originally bestowed on me by God. I did not have to explain myself to her or convince her of my goodness. She was not ashamed to be my advocate. She was eager to intercede for me, though I was not deserving. She saw in me a preserved potential for God's glory that could not be diminished. She saw me as her child.

Jessica:

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Jessica:

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit were all deeply moved by Mary's prayer for me. The Trinity drew near to me and began to attend to my heart, restoring me little by little with such love and delight. I was being healed and strengthened. I had done nothing to earn it. It was by Mary's prayers that this was coming to be. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. As a result of Mary's prayers, I stood in the love of the Trinity. In this love, I remembered who I truly was. How freeing is the love of God. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Mary smiled at me, exuding affection and joy. Now, do you see my child? This is the power of my crown. I will go to the Trinity on your behalf as often as you need, until you make it home to us. And I began to understand how Mary's crown was God's gift to me. How generous is the love of God. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen, o my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen, hail Holy Queen, mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor, banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile, show onto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us O Holy Mother of God that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen. What a gift Mary is to us from our God, who loves us. Count on our continued prayers and please, please, we ask you to be praying for us. Praise be to God.
