When I first started the show, I really wanted a part of it to be love advice and love wisdom given to you by some of the top therapists, bloggers and podcasters, book writers, you know, just people who are so-called healers in the space, experts in the space, and a lot of advice by myself. I must confess that I kind of lost confidence in giving love advice myself because I've been single for a minute now and I'm looking back on my love lessons, and you know, I knew it would be criticized if I'm giving all this advice and I haven't had a successful relationship myself. But what is success if it's a lesson learned, if it's a growth experience. I know many people in relationships, they have the longevity, but they don't have the peace. They don't have what I would consider a happy relationship at all. And what they have is that they just stay for various reasons financial, insecurity. Uh, they may not get nobody else, don't want nobody else to have them. Uh their reasons are their reasons. Um, it's not what I consider a successful relationship, a whole relationship, and that's what I want. I'm a hopeless romantic, I say hopeful romantic, and through all the pain and heartache, I take responsibility for the part that I cause. You know, I've always been a goody two shoe good guy, and I really would think it was their fault more than mine, but I've had some introspection since then, and this is something that we've all must do to see our part, even if it's in choosing the wrong person. You know, responsible main selection is a big part of what's successful, and it's hard out here. So if you got somebody that's relatively functional, you're relatively happy with, I say hold on to that because you know the grass looks greener on the other side, but it often is an illusion. And part of staying together and being whole is forgiveness, as long as you don't take that forgiveness as an abuse, as long as it's not too unreciprocal.
