Welcome And Beginner Focus

SPEAKER_00

Hello, I'm Rachel. You could say I'm a modern-day Feng Shui consultant here to help you transform your home into a space that truly supports and uplifts you. My passion is showing you how to work with your home to unlock its full potential. I'm here to show you how to tap into the power that your home holds and make this powerful practice simple, accessible, something everyone can use. Hello and welcome back to the Everyday Feng Shui podcast. So today I um feel compelled to talk a little bit about um Feng Shui from a beginner's perspective. So I'm really conscious that um that I have a lot of people who have only recently found me, and if this is your first time of listening to my podcast here, then hello and welcome. You will find so much information back through the archives of this podcast.

Why Feng Shui Seems Confusing

SPEAKER_00

So today I'm kind of stripping it back a bit and I'm going um, you know, we're going backwards just to show what feng shui is, talk a little bit about um why it seems like it's such a wildly confusing practice, um, and really kind of go in it from the ground up and build from the ground up. So when you hear me talking about feng shui, you may be thinking, you know, I don't know what this woman's on about, I don't understand where it comes from, I don't understand the reasons for all of these suggestions and things like that. Or you might be thinking, you know, there are 101 Feng Shui people that I see on um Instagram or wherever it is, and everybody's got slightly differing advice. So I want to really kind of address what's going on with all of that and why it's kind of like um it's it's a bit like looking for your um your new nutrition plan or for your new um you know personal trainer. So it's still this it's all the same concept, you know, we're all uh working with the same theories, but it's just ever slightly different interpretations of them.

History, Humility, And Proven Use

SPEAKER_00

And there's also the historical changes of the way that Feng Shui has been practiced over the 4,000 years that it's been around. And I guess I want to start there with really is that you know, I feel like we live in this world where as humans we we've kind of taken, um, as modern-day humans, should I say, we've taken this air of arrogance. You know, we uh we put rockets out into space and we think that we can control everything, and you know, we just try we that's exactly it. We try and take control of everything, we try and control the weather, we try and to just you know be this omni, is it omnipotent kind of most overpowering um force in this universe? And I find that challenging, you know, and therefore, and it's and it's that reason why I think sitting here in 2025, how could I possibly be in a position to question something that has been practiced for 4,000 years? You know, I'm in no place to sit here and ask why on earth we are still practicing something that was um, you know, that that that came into being 4,000 years ago. If it has been practiced and around and considered powerful enough to have um kind of gone through that time period, then I'm not the person to say that that doesn't work. And when you have a look at um the number of very rich people, you know, Richard Brynson, Oprah Winfrey, the Beckhams, and you have a look at the airports and the shopping centres and the the high um the high functioning banks, you know, when you have a look at how many of those incorporate Feng Shui principles into their whether it be their homes or their businesses, it kind of makes you sit up and take notice a little bit as to hang on a minute, is there this, you know, is there this secret, is there this thing, is this, is there this way of setting up your life that actually the masses don't know about? Now, feng shui is still really, really heavily leaned on

East Vs West: Openness To The Practice

SPEAKER_00

in eastern cultures. Now, obviously that's where it originated from, and therefore that is why it's um so heavily utilized over there, and it's for a business, it's just as normal to have a feng shui analysis as it is to have you know a structural survey as it in the UK or in a western um in a western country. So it's so heavily relied on over there, but over here in the West, obviously, we're wildly disconnected from it, and that is what I'm trying to kind of spread the message of, I suppose, is you might hear Feng Shui and you go, not for me, thank you very much. I mean, probably not so much if you're listening to this podcast, to be fair, but that is the general kind of um the thought process of it. If people think it's not for them because it's unfamiliar. Now, this is where we really need to just try and have a slightly more open mind because it is that open mind that is going to potentially unlock all this magic that comes with Feng Shui. Now, if you're in its world and you have had um an analysis done and your home is you know set up and feng shui, then you are going to know exactly what I'm talking about. It is just it is magnetic and it is magical and it is incredible and amazing and powerful. Um, but if you are not there yet, and if you have, if you you know, you might just be dipping your toe into this world and it feels wildly out of reach and it feels wildly confusing, um, then this is what we're going to talk about

What Feng Shui Solved First: Land And Layout

SPEAKER_00

today. So, 4,000 odd years ago, when Feng Shui was in its infancy, it was all about um positioning of homes and farmlands to make sure that they were the most abundant that they could be. So it was about positioning that farmland so that it wasn't um going to be hit by harsh winds, but it was near enough to a water source, and it was about you know positioning that so directionally so that it was set up to be um the most abundant um lifestyle, given that you know, 4,000 years ago everything was on you. You had to create your own food, you had to farm your own food. So that's why it's all you know set up from a from a location perspective and a directional perspective from 4,000 years ago. Now, as that time has obviously passed, it has adapted and changed. And there are there's a lovely story, and I'm sure it's probably true, that the masters of old have basically tweaked um the information because they didn't want anybody really knowing the secrets. And I guess it's like you know, the elites of these modern days holding on to secrets um and information that the general public don't know. I guess it would be the same as, you know, I don't know, think trying to think of something that is wildly out of my reach, something like stocks and trading and all those kind of things that is all kept very secret, that makes the rich people lots and lots of money and keeps you know everybody else kind of reliant on them. And I feel like that's um you know where this story kind of comes from, from the masters uh keeping hold of that information and tweaking it so that the that the masses couldn't tap in, tap into the to the full power of it, um to the full power of feng shui. But whether or not that's true, obviously, we don't know because it is it is but a story.

Schools, Secrets, And Evolving Methods

SPEAKER_00

Um so let's talk a little bit about the layers of feng shui. So you have got many, like over a hundred different schools of feng shui, and this is what I mean about how it's you know, it's the same outcome and it's the same um with you know, the A to B is the same. We're all aiming to get um our clients to the same place, it's just that it's a slightly different process. Now, it may be that you are somebody who really leans into the traditional feng shui and you really like the idea of having um all of the traditional kind of um remedies and supports in place, and that's great. But the most people that but that who are listening to me are people who are living very much in a modern 2025 lifestyle. Most people who um find me, find me and relate to me because I am a mum and I have got children, and most of my clients are parents and have got children, young children at that. Um, and you know, so I work with it slightly differently, um, and that's this this beautiful kind of hybrid, I suppose, of the the traditional and the ancient kind of energy work, which uh is just phenomenal, but making sure that that is still applicable in life as it is today. So with feng shui, you've got what I call surface level feng shui, and I don't mean that in any kind of disrespectful manner at all. What I mean by surface level feng shui is the stuff that quite literally everybody

Surface-Level Feng Shui Explained

SPEAKER_00

can do, mostly for free, and I mean for free within reason. So surface level surface level feng shui looks at things like your decluttering. Now, decluttering and feng shui and me, I get, you know, I do get I get heat for my obsession with decluttering. And when I say decluttering, I am not talking about having a home that has nothing in it. I have got children, I have got a family, I've got dogs and life and all of the things. I'm not talking about decluttering to the point whereby you have nothing in your home. I'm talking about getting rid of things that don't serve a purpose or serve you or bring you joy. So you can look at Marie Kondo if that's, you know, if you've heard of her before. She's kind of bought um living mindfully into the mainstream, which is absolutely brilliant because that I believe is what you know we we need access to. When I talk about decluttering, I am talking about going through the things that you are keeping because you don't know what else to do with them. So it might be something that you spent a lot of money on that you don't want to get rid of because it costs you money. Now, it's not earning you any money being sat in your house, it's not going to suddenly make you use it because, you know, whatever it is, if you're not using it now and you're just keeping hold of it because it costs money, you know, it's it's the weight of those things, whether that be the energetic weight of it or you know, or the the kind of filling of your home. And when I talk about energetic weight, if you are looking at something, even subconsciously, because you need to remember here that we're all we are all governed by our subconscious brain. You know, what you think you're thinking about on a day-to-day basis is not even scratching the surface of what your brain is absorbing from your surroundings, whether that be your home or your work or whatever is going on or wherever you are. So, you know, if you are walking past something every single day that you thought, yeah, yeah, yeah, this is gonna be the thing, let's say, let's say, uh, given that we're heading towards January, let's say you bought yourself a treadmill. Let's say you thought, you know what, I'm gonna buy this treadmill and I'm gonna go for a walk or a run every single day. And let's just say that this treadmill sits in the corner of your living room, unused and has done for six, seven, eight months, never really used it, never got into it, but you don't want to get rid of it because it costs a lot of money, and you know, oh, I might just use it one day. Now, energetically, every time you walk past that treadmill, whether you like

Decluttering Without Guilt

SPEAKER_00

it or not, one, it's it's taking up space, one, it's getting in the way and it is creating a disruption of flow of energy, but two, every time you walk past it, you are going to be thinking, didn't do that, didn't fulfil that, failure, all of those kind of things that are surrounded by the fact that you went out with this version that you were gonna, you know, you were gonna live and you didn't do it. Now, when I talk about decluttering, it's that that's what we don't want. If you have got things that you are just keeping hold of, you know, and it takes an awareness, and I guess there's an element of the fact that decluttering is well actually I don't find it hard, I find it really quite easy because I'm quite a decisive, um I'm quite decisive person, and that can be to my fault sometimes. However, I am quite good at just going, no, just get rid of it. Or you know, I don't, I don't um an R over things. Um there's somebody that I follow on Instagram and I forget who I forget what her Instagram handle is for now, but if I find it I will um stick it in into the show notes. But she basically says, um, I think it's organizing with Kylie or somebody like that. She basically says, if it's not a hell yes, then it's a no. Like there's no maybe, don't have a maybe pile. Now, it might be a little bit too cut and dry and a bit too cutthroat for even me, actually, to be fair. Um, but I love the premise of that. I love the idea of actually we just need to make a decision. Now I know that we as women, as mums, living in this world that we live in, we have decision fatigue all the time. What are we going to make for dinner? Who's got to go where? What you know, 101 decisions that we have to make throughout the day. And it is exhausting, absolutely it's exhausting, and we have decision fatigue. However, you know, if you want to be able to make space and if you want to be able to clear enough room in your life to be able to attract in what you want, then unfortunately, you know, if I could click my fingers and be able to come into your homes and you know, help you with that as a process, I would do it. But you know, I can't. And everybody has a different starting point. Some of you who are listening today might have homes that are already pretty organized, actually. They might already be relatively well um decluttered with only the really, I mean, obviously there's always going to be clutter in a family home, but you're never gonna get you're never gonna get rid of it 100%. Um, but it's about keeping on top of it, as in keeping it as a as a rolling job. You know, it's decluttering is not a job that is one and done. You are never gonna get to the end. And the sooner that you kind of come to that realisation and that acceptance, the less

Decision Fatigue And Simple Rules

SPEAKER_00

it becomes a thing. Um, but some of you might be starting from a place of where I was, frankly, you know, 10, 12 years ago. I'd just got just become a mum 12 years ago, and by the time I had my son, um, which is now 10 and a bit years ago, we had so much stuff. I can't tell you, we had so much stuff, and I hadn't kept on top of it. And you know, my house was chaotic. Chaotic. My husband used to keep his bike in our living room. That is how I mean it is. I look back at the photos now and I just think, wow, I lived like that, and it is no wonder that I felt so wildly overwhelmed and I didn't know where to start. So when I talk about declustering, you know, it is an ongoing thing, it is an everyday, it's a little bit by little bit, it's a clearing more than you collect, it's only keeping what is actually serving a purpose in your life. You know, rather than filling your loft with stuff that you don't know what to do with, make a decision about it. Do you need to keep it? And when I say need, it's not like it doesn't always have to be need. Maybe there is some phenomenal memories. Maybe you've got some historical family things in there that it's absolutely right to keep. 100% keep them. That's not decluttering. Decluttering is getting rid of things that have no purpose anymore and they don't serve you in any way. And family heirlooms absolutely serve you. So, you know, let's just be really clear about what that decluttering actually means. Now, you know, the surface I went off, didn't I? I went off, I went off into decluttering because because I feel so passionately about it, I guess. And for me, decluttering is something that I still do, but I do it every single day, every single time that I am picking up, you know, because I have a normal family home with normal normal children who live normal lives, they bring stuff into the house and it gets left everywhere because that's what they do, and they're not old enough really for me to pull them up on that wildly. And we all do it, we all do it, we all just leave stuff about because life is busy. But every time I go to put things away, I try and be really mindful about whether or not I want to put it away. Does it need a place in my home? And you know, maybe it's something short term, like one of the kids have done a drawing and it lives on the pin board for a while, and then once every half term, I declutter the pin board. Um if it's something that we want to keep, I'll take a photo of it and put it in an album so that we've got a copy of it, or if it's something that we specifically want to keep, then I'll put it in their memory boxes. Um, but if it if it isn't something that actually needs to be kept or remembered in any way, it goes in the bin. And that's okay. You are allowed to throw things away.

Daily Habits And Family Realities

SPEAKER_00

Not everything has to be kept. Um, so I make it part of my every, every single day when I'm putting something away, I try and be really mindful about whether or not I actually want it to be put away. Does it need to stay, or does it need to go in the bin? You know, and I don't mean in the bin into landfill before anybody comes to me. I mean, you know, obviously disposed of in the most economical and ecologically friendly way that we possibly can. Um, but ultimately, it doesn't need if it doesn't need to be in your home, it needs to be out of your home. Um, so surface level feng shui is really, really deeply rooted in decluttering because that is what naturally allows the energy in your home to flow and it helps it flow more smoothly, it helps you be able to clear out dust because you've just physically got less stuff in the way. Um, and you know, we'll touch on energy really, really quickly, and we can go to quantum physics if you like, which is like my I oh, I love quantum physics. It's just it blows my mind. Physics as a as a theory is just like love it. I absolutely love it. And quantum physics says that everything is energy. So, you know, again, who am I to argue with quantum physics? I'm not arguing with quantum physics. So I have got this really modern um, you know, quantum physics saying that everything is energy, and then I've got this 4,000-year-old practice that works with energy, and that's kind of how I bring the two together because I've actually got a really scientific brain. Physics for me and quantum physics for me is just like ooh, exciting stuff. And I love how I feel like we're sort of going full circle. It's like modern-day science is going, oh yeah, there was something that was right about what they were saying. We didn't understand it until now. We didn't because we have to feel have control over everything, rather than just accepting that maybe they were right all those thousands of years ago, we had to obviously go on this big journey and prove that they were right. And whoa, well, there we have it. We have the fact that they were in fact correct. So, you know, that is why I feel so wildly passionate about decluttering and feng shui, I guess, because we know, we know, science tells us that everything is energy, right? So by decluttering and having less stuff in your house, especially stuff that doesn't bring anything, doesn't add anything, or worse still brings you down, you know, we just need to be rid of it, it needs to go.

Energy Meets Science: Quantum Framing

SPEAKER_00

We've then got things like keeping on top of cleaning. Now, I'm gonna I'm gonna mention her again, and I'm so sorry because I think I talk about her all the time. But the organised, it was it did used to be called the organised mum method, it's now called the organized method. Um, you can find her on Instagram at the organized method. You can find her on her website, which is at theorganised.com, I think it is. Now, I don't have any um, I am not an affiliate of hers at all. But the lady who uh developed um the organized method, she I found her in the depths of the that really desperate point in my life where I had two very, very small children. I had two children under the age of two, and I had a house that was in absolute chaos. I had a baby that was poorly, and I had a you know, a toddler who was one and a half, who was still a baby in herself. Um, and I was utterly beyond lost because I knew that every time I was sat stuck under my, no, I don't mean stuck nastily, but you know, as a mum, stuck under my baby, feeding my baby, trying to help my toddler with one hand, just getting more and more overwhelmed and looking around my home, going, this all just feels too much. And I don't know how I'm ever going to get out of this. How am I ever going to fix this? And the more days that pass, it just gets worse. You know, that's when I found this method, and unfortunately, it's one of those things whereby, you know, we all, all of us, myself included, everybody wants a quick fix because that's the world that we live in, right? We want a quick fix because it's easy, because it's helpful, and all of those lovely things. But sadly, consistency is just the answer to making progress in everything in life. So I found the organized method and Gemma Bray, who is the lady who um who I was gonna say invented it, she wrote her own program ultimately, her own system

Cleaning Systems That Reduce Overwhelm

SPEAKER_00

to keep on top of her home from a place of absolute desperation. So it's written for people who I was, um, which is why I think I find it uh or have found it and continue to find it. I use it every single day. So um she has an app and I log into this little app and I plug my headphones in, and it's half an hour a day, and each day is allocated to a different room, and part of that half an hour is tidying and decluttering, which is how I build it into my everyday, and it's just the most incredible system. Now it is not gonna be something whereby, and I genuinely genuinely, unless you have got lots of help, lots of support, and at least a week of being completely able to dedicate your um your time to defluttering your house or cleaning your house and you know sorting it, what's the show? Stacey Solomon, sort your life out, it's not realistic, you know, it's not something that is achievable in a weekend, it just isn't from the practicalities of being able to actually shift the stuff that you don't want anymore through to the mental exhaustion that that would take to be able to make that many decisions. Um, it's just it's just not possible. So for anybody who is trying to run a home, it with or without children to be fair, but specifically with children, because we do find it that little bit more tricky. We've got more people to have to tidy up after. The organized method is frankly a life-changing system. Yes, you have to play the long game, a hundred percent you have to play the long game. And I have been following Gemma now and using her system for eight years, but honestly, within the first few weeks, you just see a difference. Um, she's got a free trial of the app that you can get. So you just go over to her website, theorganised method.com, and you can try the app for free. And then it's $3.99 a month. Like it's quite honestly, it's the best money. It's the cost of a coffee. It's a coffee a month. Just anyway, I'm gonna stop talking about her now. But um, yes, I'm not an affiliate FYI. I'm just so genuinely and truly grateful to her for um

Free Fixes That Boost Flow

SPEAKER_00

for kind of helping me come out of that place of total housework overwhelm. So, surface level feng shui, let's go back to that. So they're kind of your basics of your surface level feng shui. Your defluttering and your cleaning, and then you have got other really basic things like um swapping out fake flowers for real um plants, getting rid of dried plants, taking knife blocks off um countertops, clearing entryways to your home. So all of the stuff that I talk about here on the podcast, all of the stuff that I share over on Instagram, that is all what I would consider and what I call surface level feng shui, because anybody can access it, anybody can use it, and unless you've got to pay somebody to repair a leaky tap or repair a hole in your wall or whatever it is, you know, ultimately, yes, it costs time, but it's free. It takes effort and it takes time, but it's free. So surface level feng shui is where we are just quite literally getting the energy that is already circulating through our home, but being able to flow more easily. We want to get rid of broken things, we want to get rid of cracked things, we want to repair any issues, and you know, it needs to be a nice, inviting environment. That's what we're

Traditional Feng Shui And Five Elements

SPEAKER_00

aiming for with surface level feng shui. And it is just even if you do nothing more than that, it's so wildly powerful what that can do for your life. Then you go kind of one step deeper, if that's what you want to call it, and that is the more traditional look at feng shui. Um, it's where every single person, regardless of what way your home faces on the compass, every home is divided into nine areas, and that is across all of Feng Shui, um, really. But with traditional feng shui, every single house, regardless of where your front door sits, your front door would be considered the north, right? So it's again, it's a it's a sort of um it's where it all started, but it's sort of cookie-cutter approach, but and it's considered the north because that's where the energy is thought to come in through your front door from a traditional feng shui perspective. And you can kind of apply the theories of that feng shui and therefore the remedies that go along with it, you can apply it to any home. Yes, you start looking at you start looking at um remedies, and that's where we start incorporating the five elements. So if you are not familiar with traditional Chinese medicine, which is what feng shui is part of, is you know, it's if you think about acupuncture, so how many people have been for acupuncture? So many people, and feng shui is a bit like acupuncture for your home rather than acupuncture for your body, and we use the five elements as um as the way to shift the energy, whereas in in acupuncture they use the needles. But both of those modalities are part of traditional Chinese medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine um is really rooted in the five element theory, which is a what again for me a wildly um interesting and just beautiful kind of area of um of research, and something that I'm really enjoying reading more about as I go through my own journey um as well. So traditional Chinese medicine uses the five elements, which is wood, earth, water, fire, and metal. And the principle being is that there has to be

When To Use Traditional Layouts

SPEAKER_00

harmony between those five elements for things to flow with ease and things to flow well. So if you were to look at acupuncture, that's the kind of the sticky energy that they're trying to shift in um in acupuncture. My acupuncturist said to me, You do know that you have a fire element, um, and he was telling me about how that meant that I shouldn't be eating um cold foods because it puts so everything that I eat should be warm because it puts out the fire, my internal fire element. And I love things like that. Now, don't get me wrong, I still eat ice cream and I still eat cold food. However, I will quite often lean to warmer foods. Um it just it's just so very interesting. Um, so that's your the traditional Feng Shui is is starting to work with those five elements. As I say, it's quite cookie cutter, every home has the same um sort of overlay uh and the same layout, and the same way that it is divided. Up and each of the areas in the home has the same. So your east area using traditional feng shui would have the same remedy as my east area with traditional feng shui, even if our homes

Flying Stars: Time And Compass Matter

SPEAKER_00

faced a completely different way and looked completely different. Now that's kind of your mid-level of Feng Shui, and there are a huge number of practitioners who use this. And if you, for example, if you lived on um a boat, if you lived on a on a on a barge type boat, like a canal boat, or if you um let's for let's say you have a, I'm gonna call it a yacht, but I don't think I don't think they're a yacht. We live in Norfolk and we live near the broads, and there are some incredible boats. Um the people, whether they live on them but or they holiday on them for really long periods of time, or if you've got the caravan or a motorhome, you would use traditional feng shui principles to feng shui that space because there is they're not on a set compass direction. So that's where traditional feng shui for me has so so much value. Then we start leaning into the real deep level feng shui, which is your flying stars feng shui, and it's kind of like the deepest layer that you can that you can get to. And the reason that it's the deepest layer is because it has an acceptance of the fact that energy changes with time. So it takes into account the fact of when your home was built, it takes into account if you've had any um major works done on your home. So I'm going to use my own home as an example here. Uh, we live in a chalet bungalow, so it was built in the 1950s, 1960s, and up until 2021, it the layout, I mean, it had been it had been changed minorly, but there hadn't been any real major changes to the house. And in 2021, we had a huge extension put on the upstairs of our home to make it into basically a two-story, um, it'd look like a normal two-story house. And the whole feel of our house changed. Like it was unrecognizable, and that's what Flying Stars Feng Shui takes into consideration: the shift in the energies when real big stuff happens, where big changes happen. So it takes into consideration that it also looks at where your house sits on the compass. Because we've got energy flying in from different directions, you know. And again, if this all sounds a bit woo-woo and a bit out there for you, if you think about the earth's magnetic field, right? You just take that to be a given. You're told that it exists, science tells you that it exists. And if you try and think about how that works as a

normal person, our brains get absolutely blown. You know, when you think about what that electromagnetic field around our planet looks like, you know, you you just can't, you it it blows your mind. And this is and this is the same thing with with Feng Shui. Like we believe, we are told that it that we've got energy coming from every single direction. And because I know what I know about physics, I say, yeah, I I can be on board with that. Now, because of the fact that we have energy coming from different directions, we look at where your house sits on those compass points on the compass. So, what direction is it facing? Where are those energies coming into your house? And where are they coming into your house in the most forceful way? Where can they actually enter? So it's just a really, really deep level of um actually let's really look at how this is working for for this particular home. So the principles then become more around the movement of those energies and how they change year on year, rather than them being sort of stuck in stone and and immovable. It becomes something that is more fluid and it becomes something that changes depending on you know what is going on. And for me, that is the that's kind of the key to the power of flying stars, feng shui, because you can see how we go, okay, surface level feng shui, excellent. We make a really, really good start. If we can just make the energy start flowing more more smoothly. The second level of feng shui, we're starting to incorporate those those um those elements, you know, those five elements, and actually, again, whether or not we're balancing them or not is hit and miss at that point. But when you look at the flying stars, feng shui, you can really

Mapping Nine Areas In Real Homes

see what energies are coming in, and that's where you get into the really minute detail of balancing the energies and balancing the elements of that your home needs. Um, and that is why we work in nine areas. We look at the nine life areas, um you know, which kind of correspond to your floor plan of your home, which is a really, really simple concept. If you have got a rectangular home, if you don't have a rectangular home, which actually so many people don't now because we put extensions on, we put conservatories on, porches get put on, people like me go and put extensions on, or we live in houses that have got smaller upstairs and downstairs, or you might be built into a hillside whereby you've got like a lower ground floor with a like a bigger building on top. There are so many variations of homes now that it becomes a bit more tricky to put those nine areas within um you know within within your floor plan. But this is why it's so powerful because it takes into consideration your exact home. Now, this is where it starts to get just so like beyond exciting for me, and kind of where I'm really leaning into now with my um business. It's like it's almost like a hybrid. So I've taken the flying stars feng shui, which is incredible and powerful, but I'm starting to pair it with personal feng shui. So, as I mentioned just a moment ago about my acupuncturist who said, you know, you know that you have you are a fire element. Now, all of us carry our own element, and it's you could you could look at it like a star sign, you could look at it like your human design, it's a you know, it's a makeup of sorts that you come into this world with. And now what I'm beginning to do is combine those two things. So I start now looking at the feng shui of your home and the energies of your home, and then combining that

Blending Home Energies With Personal Elements

with the energies of the people within it, so that we can tap into um success directions and wealth directions, and all of these like personal energies. So my work now is really focused on the home and getting your home balanced so that it is, you know, the energy is flowing and everything is where it needs to be, and all of those five elements are balanced as they should be. And then when that is done and when that is already working and working for you, then we're looking at your personal energy and how you can kind of activate certain spaces of your home so that you know you can work with people individually, then and you can work on individual goals and individual successes, and it becomes this kind of wildly successful like combination of just aligning everything in your home with the outcomes that you are looking for, and it's such an excit it's just such an exciting time because I don't know of anybody else that is kind of going into that depth with it now. Um, and this is something that I have just felt for so many years. You know, I talk quite often about this, um, and I'm gonna be wrapping up soon because I realize that I've been jabbering away to you for such a long time, but you can hear probably have how unbelievably passionate I am about it. Um, you know, I truly believe that feng shui changes lives, and you can be the person that says, oh it's just coincidental, you can be the person that says it's just because you're then focused. You know, I am not gonna sit here and ever try and persuade or convince anybody that feng shui is for them. But I know from my lived experience, I know from coming from a place of you know, complete and utter desperation and despair. I had such horrific um postnatal depression that I say the doctor who listened to me when my son was poorly, she saved my life. She's genuinely saved my life. Now I was beyond lucky to have a husband and a um I don't know what we have a family support worker from actually. It was a family support worker from our local um, I don't think they have them anymore. It was, you know, like our health visiting team. And because our son was poorly and we needed that, we needed some some help and some intervention, we had a family support worker, and she and my husband um basically booked my appointment with the GP and took me there. And if that lady hadn't listened to me, and if they hadn't done that, then you know it might be a very different outcome, and that is how serious a situation I was in, and how desperate a situation I was in. And now, you know, I'm sitting here and I'm talking to you, and I have a podcast, and I have this business that is just means the world to me, and I have three incredible and healthy, beautiful, wonderful children who might drive me insane because you know that's life, isn't it? Like they're meant to drive me mad. But I am so beyond blessed. I'm so

Why This Hybrid Approach Works

beyond blessed. I am so lucky, I am so grateful, and that is where all of this comes from because those 10 years ago, when I tapped into the organized method, that was surface level feng shui. I was doing it, I was doing it already, and all it did was reignite this thing in me. You know, when I was a child, I was the person who I felt everything, I felt everything, and even in those darkest kind of moments of my life, I still knew that my environment was contributing to the way that I felt. So I've always felt energy. I've always felt energy of people, I've always felt energy of spaces, and you know, this whole world that's now opened up for me, um honestly, I just it it's truly me living my absolute authentic life, and it is me living my absolute calling, and to be able to now sit within that and find ways to be able to help other people who may not be in such a desperate position that I was in. Maybe, you know, maybe it's not that. Maybe your your reasons for wanting to find Feng Shui and work with Feng Shui are completely different to mine, and that's absolutely fine. It's it's the power of this practice that I that I'm just trying to explain to people, you know, and it doesn't have to be expensive. You can use most most things in your home you can use already to for feng shui. And you know, yes, there is a cost involved, and there does have to be a level of investment when you want to work with a practitioner to get into the nitty-gritty nitty-gritty of your home

Lived Experience And Mental Health

SPEAKER_00

because that takes expertise and it takes knowledge and it takes training and it takes years. So there is a cost involved in that, but actually, this modern version of Feng Shui is so much more accessible, and you can use things that are already in your home. Um, and when you learn how to do that, the power of them and the power of intention is just beyond, you know, your wildest dreams. And I suppose it's my I feel it's my duty to kind of try and make people understand that we don't have to keep trudging through life, we don't have to go through groundhog day every single day, we don't have to live in a world whereby you just go through the motions and we are all just so switched off. You know, we're living on phones, we're just told what to do all the time, what to buy, what to this, do this, do this, and we're just going along in this kind of stream. And I guess I'm somebody who's at the side of the stream with a plug, and I want to open a plug and try and get people to kind of wake up a little bit to their own um what they want out of their own lives rather than just kind of being caught up in this, you know, waterfall, I guess, and just going along with what life and getting to the end of it and not necessarily feeling like you have been true to yourself or achieved what you want to achieve. Um, so I'd kind of gone into today thinking, how am I going to explain Feng Shui? And I don't know that I've done a particularly good job of explaining um, you know, what it is at its core, but for me today was all about just sharing a little bit about why I believe so passionately in it and talking to you a little bit about you know my own personal experience of um of it and where I've come from and where I am now, and to really say to anybody who is listening that truly I genuinely believe that with Feng Shui, that everything, anything, everything and anything, anything that you can dream is possible. Now that's not to say it's gonna be overnight, you know, that's not to say it's gonna be overnight, but it's about consistency again. It comes into that kind of, you know, where actually, let's be mindful, where actually do we want to be? Do we want to just keep going through life as we are now, or do we want something different? Do we want something more? And if you are in the camp of I want something more, then you are absolutely in the right place. And you can gorge on all of my free um content, I hate the word content, but you can gorge on all of that free stuff that comes out via my newsletter, and it comes out via my podcast, and it comes out via Instagram,

Accessibility: Free To High-Touch Paths

SPEAKER_00

and I will always share that information for free because there has to be, I truly and honestly believe that there has to be a place to start that um isn't crippling, frankly. You know, there is no point in from my perspective. I would hate to have a situation whereby somebody who is absolutely desperate for change and who knows that they need change, but they don't have the finances to be able to invest in me and my, you know, my one-to-one services. I still want those people to be able to make a difference to their life, you know, and that has there has to be something out there for those people. And so I'm always, always, always going to be sharing things on here and and on all of my other sort of platforms so that you can start making changes in your life for nothing. And then, you know, there's the the mid-range stuff, so that if somebody wants to kind of dip their toe in, they've listened to a few things I've said and they've thought, oh, I can get on board with, can get on board with this, but you know, let's not let's not take this too far. Let's be tentative. And this is what I'm like, and this is how I found um how I found Feng Shui. I didn't jump straight into a home analysis when I found Feng Shui. I got gorged on all the free content. I did um some low-cost um services that meant that I could actually start implementing some more personal bits of Feng Shui. And it was with the proof of every step that I ended up having my home analysed, and then with the proof of the analysis, I ended up on the practitioner course, and you know, and I trained to do this as a job. And I absolutely truly believe that that is the route that um that I want to be available for people to be able to kind of dip your toe in and say, Well, let's let's just see, let's see if the proof's in the pudding now. So that's how my whole business is set up with all the way through into my kind of more high-end um, let's really Stacey Solomon your life, and from an energetics

Consistency, Possibility, And Next Steps

perspective, and saw all of the energies of your home and saw all of the energies of yourself and how those two things work together. So there is literally something there for everybody. Um, and it is a huge, huge passion project of mine, and I love it dearly, and I love you all dearly for listening. I'm so sorry, we must be at about 50 minutes by now. Um, it's been an absolute joy and pleasure to speak with you today, and I will speak to you again really, really soon.
