Why I Skip January 'New Year' Pressure And Instead, Plan For The Feng Shui New Year
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Resolutions feel heavy when your bones are asking for rest. Today I talk about why January has never been our moment and how moving goal‑setting to the Feng Shui New Year in early February creates a kinder, more effective path to change. With the tree down and the house cleared, the space - and the mind - finally have room to breathe. From there, intentions take root.
We unpack the difference between calendar time and seasonal time, then look ahead to the Yang Fire Horse of 2026 within cycle nine’s Rising Phoenix energy. Double fire can light the way or scorch the ground, so we talk through practical ways to soften and steer it: grounding materials, considered water elements, and simple routines that tame pace without killing momentum. Think horsemanship, not hustle - control the reins instead of getting dragged by them.
You’ll learn an easy Phoenix picture ritual to anchor annual intentions, why “feelings first” makes goals stick, and how to focus on just one or two of the nine areas of your home to avoid overwhelm.
I also share a reflective audit: look back at what worked and what hurt this year, then translate the feelings you want - lightness, energy, security - into tangible changes in your space. January becomes your runway for reflection and gentle prep; February is your aligned take‑off.

Welcome And Rachel’s New Year Confession
SPEAKER_00Hello, I'm Rachel. You could say I'm a modern-day Feng Shui consultant here to help you transform your home into a space that truly supports and uplifts you. My passion is showing you how to work with your home to unlock its full potential. I'm here to show you how to tap into the power that your home holds and make this powerful practice simple, accessible, and something everyone can use. Hello and welcome back to the Everyday Feng Shui podcast. Today I am going to be talking about New Year's resolutions and goal setting. Now I say it with a laugh because I hate New Year. I really, really do not like New Year. Um for me, there is just so much pressure. Like I love Christmas. Christmas is probably one of my favourite times of year. Um I loved it as a child, absolutely adored it as a child, and love it now as a mum. I'm one of those weird people who loves to do the elf and move the elf around and come up with all those crazy things. Um I just I I love everything about like just making the joy, right? That's what Christmas is about for me, and what I'm trying to instill into my kids is that it's all about um just joy and it's amazing. And so I love Christmas, but man alive, when Christmas is done, I kind of go into this like oh mood because I don't like New Year. I'm I'm absolutely desperate to get the Christmas stuff out of the house. We do everything on the 1st of December. Um, because I can't have the elves running around the house causing havoc if there's nothing Christmassy there, can I? So since we've had the children, we have put all of the Christmas stuff up on the 1st of December, it's a bit of a thing, it's become a bit of a tradition, it's all very lovely, and I you know I wouldn't change that, but certainly by the 27th of December, I am ready for
Post‑Christmas Purge And Energetic Reset
SPEAKER_00it to be out of my house. So, as much as I don't like New Year, I also don't like going into the New Year unless I have literally purged my home, and I've been the same for as long as I can remember. So, but with all big things, you know, when I was a student and I lived um I was a student in Southampton, and before I would come home for them for the holidays, I would have to deep clean my room so that when I came back it was done, I'm that person that has to clean my house before I go on holiday, or even if I'm just going away for the weekend, um, I have to clean my house before I go. And it's not when I say have to, my god, what does that sound like? I don't mean it like that, but I just mean you know, for me, knowing that that is done, it's like a bit of an energetic reset, and it's always been the same. I've always been the same, and I don't like going into New Year with like the dust and the stuff that sits underneath all of you know the months worth of Christmas decorations because you know the reality is that you cannot move everything, and your home is never gonna be it doesn't have to be sparkling clean anyway, does it? I mean, I've got three children and two dogs, it's never gonna be sparkling clean, but I you know there's just this a stagnancy that comes with um having more stuff out on display and more items on the surfaces, and the tree that drops its pine leaves and you know, all of the all of the stuff. So I don't like going into New Year um with any of that stuff out, so I tend to try and do a little bit of purge um in those days between Christmas and New Year, and actually I find that that really helps me as somebody who doesn't enjoy New Year. Now, I haven't liked New Year for as long as I can remember um for so many reasons. I feel like as I'm quite an introvert, not that you would necessarily believe that given that this is what I do for a living, and I, you know, record myself talking and don't seem to be able to shut up. Um, but I am quite an introvert, and I find like exchanging energy with people can drain me sometimes and all these kinds of things. And I've never been, even as a you know, young adult and as a student, I was never a big goer outer. It never was really the thing that kind of floated my boat, if that makes sense. Um, I didn't live for it like you know, so many other people of that age. Now I think that may be where I became really aware of the fact that I wasn't a big New Year's person because it would be everybody would be like, oh, where are you going for New Year's? And I'm like, umhere because I really don't want to. Um, you know, I don't I've never really enjoyed that part of it. And that's not to say, you know, it's not necessarily being with people, but I think the expectation when you're young is that you go somewhere loud and you know, go to these wild parties and nightclubs and stuff, and that was just never, never who I was. And I don't have an issue with you know spending New Year's Eve with people and doing something, but definitely in a more subdued way. Um, but
Pressure, Resolutions And Failing Fast
SPEAKER_00that just wasn't allowed, was it, when you were younger? Like that wasn't that wasn't the thing. So I think it kind of came from there and this feeling of pressure. And then when I became a young adult and everybody would be saying things like, Well, what are you gonna do for New Year? Are you gonna get married? Are you gonna have children? Or are you gonna run a marathon or like whatever it is? And the pressure, the pressure to come up with something life-changing and extravagant, and you know, just adding more stuff to a plate to be able to say, Oh, yeah, this is my new year's resolution, or you know, even if it's internally having as somebody who struggled with my weight for my entire life, every single year I would say, you know, this year is the year that I'm going to lose some weight, or go to the gym, or do couch to 5k. And the number of times that I have started couch to 5k in January, to get, you know, I've finished it a couple of times, but I never then carry on with it as a as a thing. Um, so I think I've maybe as I'm talking, like maybe I've done it to myself, right? Maybe it's a you know, new year to me signifies a time whereby we say, yep, I'm gonna do this for myself, and then fail. And I can look at it differently now, and I can think, well, you know, it's not potentially failing, and all the lessons I've learned from all of those experiences and things. But either way, it has left me with this kind of the pressure of New Year. I really, really don't, um, I really don't enjoy, and therefore I don't really enjoy New Year. And that's why I want to talk about it really, because you know, I do think there needs to be a slightly different approach. And I do feel that I mean maybe it's because I'm getting older and it's less of a I don't know, less of a thing, maybe as you get into sort of middle age, so to speak, um, do people have New Year's resolutions as much? But if I feel like it's the softer approach these days and it's a slightly different um wording, you know, it's more about goals and intentions. What are your intentions for next year? Maybe it's just the world that I now live in compared to the world that I did live in, um, that it's that that slightly softer variation. I don't know. Um, but it is worth saying at this point that January the 1st, although it's like the calendar new year, that's a fabricated date.
Calendar New Year Versus Seasonal New Year
SPEAKER_00Like nobody in the history of time has ever worked to the 1st of January really as being the beginning of a year because it isn't the beginning of anything. We're still in the depths of winter, we're still in this sort of um natural rest period. And I again I feel like we are sort of shifting a little bit as a society. Again, maybe it's only the circles that I am now in versus you know, the more um traditional circles that I used to be in, but I feel like people are starting to lean into working back with the cycles of nature and the cycles of the moon and cycles of earth and all of those really kind of innate knowings that you know years ago we didn't have the calendar that said, Oh, well, today is New Year because it's the first of January, like didn't exist, that wasn't a thing because it didn't exist and it's become it's become created. And if we really look at the history of New Year, you are looking at springtime. That is the traditional, like seasonal new year because it is the new beginning, it is the becoming, it's the light is coming again, it's the you know, it's the the plants are regenerating. So that is the new year, and this is one of the things that I really loved about Feng Shui when I sort of fell into it as a world, is uh the the the Feng Shui New Year, which it coincides with the solar solar new year, so we're looking at around the 4th of February, that resonated with me so much more as a uh beginning point than January the 1st, because uh you know December is especially if you've got young children, December is chaotic, absolutely chaotic. So to be going at full speed for all of December, and then you're into Christmas, and then you have, you know, maybe a few days if you're lucky between Christmas and New Year, but we all work, and so many people have to work in that time, and then you're thrust into this calendar new year, and you know, now you're meant to just change your life, boom, done. And I it just it's also stark, it's all it feels very masculine, it doesn't feel particularly feminine, and I mean that in terms of like the softness of it and things, not like gender. Now, for me, having like the later
Feng Shui New Year And Timing
SPEAKER_00new year is is really lovely because I think we have that opportunity to have this December that is yes, very busy but hopefully quite full of joy. And then there's some breathing space and there's some reset space, and remembering that we are living these very busy December, which they are not restful for most people. December is not a restful month for most people, and certainly people of this age, for example, who have got children and are busy and are working, you know, it's not a wildly restful month. And I think that accepting that we are living at 100 miles an hour in a month whereby seasonally we should be like taking a step back and resting, and we take notes from nature, and nature is is resting and recuperating now, and so we are kind of living in this sort of friction with how it's meant to be, I suppose. And what I like about this slightly delayed start to um or looking at new year in a different way, and looking at new year slightly later on, more towards the beginning of spring, I think you know, it allows you to have that restful period that you need to have to kind of get back in line with our seasons and get back in line with how really we're designed to work. So, yeah, that's kind of my weird and wonderful take on new year on New Year. In saying that, completely randomly this year for the first time ever, I have joined the Francesca Amber um New Year's goal setting party. Now I've never done it before, I saw it for the first time last year, um, but I had a lot going on because I was doing my practitioner course um and all sorts of stuff. So it kind of fell off the radar last year, um, and you know, it didn't, it wasn't something that I was going to do then. And this year it was I've on a whim, I have booked to do this, and it's on the 30th of 30th of December, and I'm really looking forward to it because I don't know, most of you probably have heard of Francesca Amber. She is a law of attraction manifestation sort of um queen, I suppose. And she was talking actually on her stories about it on Instagram uh yesterday or the day before, where she was saying about how she also sort of works with this basis of we don't just jump straight in in January. January is still a restful period of time, but it's a really lovely way of kind of preparing for action. And I really liked that, that really resonated with me, what she was saying about, you know, using the first of January or using the traditional this this sort of new year, the well-known, the calendar new year, um, as a as a starting
Previewing 2026: Yang Fire Horse Energy
SPEAKER_00point, as a okay, well, we don't we're not taking action right now, we're not jumping in, we're not making things happen, but let's start thinking, let's start dreaming, let's start all of these things. So I loved that. So I'm really looking forward to doing um that goal setting party with her, and you know, it made me think uh in general, really, about how actually that's a really lovely way of doing it. So from Feng Shui, we are looking at changing the remedies in our home from the 4th of February and 2026. The energy is bonkers in 2026. I'm gonna do a whole um, I'm probably gonna do it as a workshop on the the energy of next year. So we have the Yang fire horse. So we have got a fire horse year in a fire cycle. It is, you know, it's going to be you're you're going to be propelled forward at a pace, whether you are ready to be or not. So whatever you are in now, whether you are ready or not, you know, life's gonna happen, life is coming, and we're gonna be just propelled through this year. Now, I for one, I am not very good at not being in control. So my toxic trait is that I am a wild, wild control freak. I am absolutely a hippie, but I was brought up in a military household. So my dad is um quite high up in the military, and my mum was a teacher and worked her way up into kind of leadership of um like clusters of schools. So to say that I have come from quite a rigid um, you know, everybody's very organized, you have to be organized and all of those sorts of things and standards and this, that, and the other. And so I am this like wild mix of absolute hippie who wants freedom to be able to do whatever I want, but also I have to have military-level control over everything, otherwise I just can't function, which is great. Um, so I absolutely do not want to be going into 2026 without having tamed the stallion that is the the energy of the um the young horse, and for me, getting prepared is going to be what it's all about. So, in terms of remedies, they are very, very different from what we've had so far for 2026. Um, because there's an awful lot of grounding to be done, there's an awful lot of calming to be done, um, there's a lot of water that is needed in lots of different areas, and we've not really had that much water up till now. So, yeah, it's a really, really um, it's a really, really big change in terms of energetics, and I'm preparing at the minute everybody's um remedy, like new remedy lists for next year. So everybody that has had an analysis will have them ready to put in um by the 4th of February. And with that, I think it's worth not necessarily now because we're all still really, really busy, but it is worth planning for thinking about what those intentions for
Grounding Remedies And Planning Ahead
SPEAKER_00this Feng Shui New Year is going to be. So that is how I plan on using this goal setting party that I'm doing with um Francesca Amber on the 30th of December. So I will be looking at what my intentions are for the Feng Shui year and you know it into 2026 and then the beginning of 2027. And so that's sort of really what I wanted to invite you to do today. Because obviously I can't do that with you after I have done the goal setting party because we will be kind of it will be upon us by then. So I've got no idea, I've never done it before. So if you have done one of Francesca Amber's goal setting parties before, drop me a message or leave a comment or something because I'd love to know what to expect. Because, you know, I've I think it's I'm doing it on a whim, I don't really know what we're gonna do. Um, but it just felt like it resonated this year, so there we are, that's what we're doing. Um, but today, you know, this is sort of my invitation to you to use the new year, as in the 1st of January, new year, to just start thinking about what your intentions for the 2026 energetics for the areas of your home might be. Now, again, some people like to use the new year as a bit of a purge and a bit of a declutter and a bit of a kind of reset in their home. And again, I'm absolutely one of those people. Um, so I will be refreshing all of my kind of intentions as I'm doing that anyway. So it's nice to think now about how we're going to be approaching 2026 Feng Shui year, and how do we want to shift things? The other thing that's a really lovely thing to do at the beginning of a new Feng Shui year is to, or especially now, so we're in cycle nine at the moment, which is a fire cycle, all the energies coming from the from the south. It's a rising phoenix cycle. So we've got 20 years of this rising phoenix energy. So if you think about the rising phoenix phoenix, it's like you know, rising from the ashes, and this is what it feels like there's been this kind of
Rising Phoenix Cycle And Personal Growth
SPEAKER_00surge of of women really who are saying, Do you know what? I've had enough. I've had enough of being in the dirt, I've had enough of being in the ashes, I've had enough of being at the bottom of the pile, I've had enough of doing everything for everybody, and this is my time, this is my time to shine, and my time to rise, and my time to become. And it's a really, really powerful energy, and I feel like you know, it's serendipitous that here I am at 40, changing my career and you know, doing all these just incredible things that I never in a million years would have thought that I would be doing. If you told me a year ago that I would be sat here jabbering away on a podcast, recording this every week, there or thereabouts, and with no script at all, you it it it would blow my mind. Like it that's not that's not the person who I ever thought I would be. So it's you know, the powerful energy that when you work with it, it it really you know how many times do I say it on here? Changes your life, right? But it does, it does, and it can. And for me, because we've got this double fire year coming up, um, with 2026 being the the fire horse, I want to make Sure, that I have got that under control. Because, you know, if you think about a horse, you think about if you are a non-rider and you were to sit on this powerful stallion, that horse is taking you wherever it wants to go, right? Because you've not got any control over it. Whereas if you think about somebody who is an amazing horseman, they've got incredible horsemanship on the same horse and they've got control, they've got the power that is behind that horse, but they're going where they want to go. And for me, I want to tame it. I want to have good horsemanship. So I'm going to be thinking really carefully about um my intentions. But I went off on a tangent there, didn't I? Off on a tangent into horses. But um a really lovely thing to do at the beginning of the Feng Shui year of 2026 and beyond for the all of the cycle nine years is to refresh the intentions on your rising Phoenix picture. So if you're new to this and you have got no idea what I'm talking about, in cycle nine, which we are in now, which runs from 2024. So cycle nine started in February 2024, and it is running all the way through until 2043. So it is a 20-year cycle, and every Feng Shui year, a lovely um a lovely thing to do is to print off a picture of a rising phoenix. Now, ideally, that would have some level of sort of fire colour to it because that is the nod to that fire energy that sits behind that phoenix and sits behind sort of the the directional energy that's coming at us in that 20-year cycle. And on the back of this picture, we write our intentions for the year. So I haven't, I mean, mine I'm looking at mine now, but I'm looking at the front of it, not the back. So I can't
The Phoenix Picture Intention Practice
SPEAKER_00even really remember what I wrote on there, if I'm honest. Um, but at the end of this Feng Shui year, I will revisit that. I will probably print myself a new picture. Um, not probably, I will print myself a new picture. And I on my I might change the picture, it doesn't have to stay the same if you find something that resonates with you more. Um, so I will print off my new picture and I will write my like my more generalized intentions for 2026 on the back. And it's just a really lovely um practice to get into. And I didn't do it with my children last year because I didn't think that I didn't really know enough about it. I was very new to this as a practice. Um, I didn't want to get it wrong, I didn't want them to think I was crazy. My children now are like full on Feng Shui. I reckon that they could be Feng Shui consultants in their own right just from living with me. And you know, it is part of our everyday conversation now is energetics and things like that. So I don't feel like they would think it was bonkers. So, I mean, my boys maybe not so much, um, I don't think they'd be interested, but I reckon my daughter would absolutely adore to do her own rising phoenix. So I think you know, we'll do that together, which will be really, really lovely, and that will just have you know my generalized intentions for for the year or my main goals for the year on it. Um, and then it's then it comes down to you know the specificity of it. So looking at the nine areas of the home, and again, if you are new here and you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll put the link in the description box to my free download, which talks you through the nine areas of the home and how to find them and what they represent. And those nine areas are kind of the heart of Feng Shui, and it's how we um you know that we can really get specific with our goals and intentions for 2026. So we can pick
Nine Areas Of The Home And Focus
SPEAKER_00um, you know. So let's go back a second. I am in the Francesca Amber Book Club, which is an amazing online book club whereby everybody is studying the same book at the same time. And if you are a really busy person and you find reading difficult, but you really love these sort of self-improvement books, it's a fantastic space actually, because you kind of get this overview of the book and the main takeaways rather than having to um process it all, and it's it's almost like dipping your toe into all of these various subjects, and then if it's something that you know makes you think, Oh yeah, well that's that I really love the sound of that, then you obviously can go further and and look into it further. But but a lot of it is uh making you bringing awareness to things that you may not uh naturally fall to, which I think is really lovely, and actually at the minute, um this month's book is Kimberly's The Come and Happy Home, which is really beautiful to be able to be kind of um supporting that community with questions and things, um and so lovely to be able to hear uh people's you know, like to listen to Kimberly's book being read is just gorgeous because she's a beautiful friend and I love her very dearly. Obviously, she has changed my life, so it's it's it's lovely. But um one of the things that comes up regularly in the book club is uh that feng shui is overwhelming. And it is like it's so deep. So I'm doing some extra study at the minute, I'm learning deeper and deeper and deeper levels of feng shui, and it is you know, it runs, and this, but this is what I love, this is this is what I love about it, is that it runs so deep. So we look at it on a surface level and we're like, oh, where's all this come from? Well, this is the question, these are the questions that I ask. My mum used to say to me as a child, actually, if you answered all the questions you have in life, Rachel, you are going to be a genius. And I have this incessant need with most things to understand why, you know, if the washing machine breaks, breaks. I don't want to just pay a man to come in, I want to know why it broke and I want to know how to fix it. Um and I'm a bit like that with most things that I turn my hand to, I want to understand why and how and the the kind of nitty-gritty underneath it, and and that's what I've been doing. So I've been studying these incredible, like additional layers and the deeper layers of these energetics, and to it and it so it's an it is overwhelming. It's an overwhelming practice, and our job, our job as these sort of modern day practitioners and modern-day Feng Troi consultants is to try and make what is a really I mean this practice is like thousands of years old, and it it it and it comes from such the the origins are just so beautifully amazing. And the journey to get from where it where it kind of
Overwhelm, Depth, And Making It Usable
SPEAKER_00originated from to now is so complex. There are it is so multifaceted, it's just it's blowing my mind, and I understand it, and I understand energy, and I feel energy, and I live with energy, and it's like energy is my bread and butter, it's my everyday. But even I'm going, whoa, like brain is overloaded for a minute, and therefore to be trying to communicate to people how to use this every day, you know, it can it can get overwhelming because you have to choose a point to stop sharing information because not everybody needs to know thousands of years worth of um you know how how things have how things have come to be over thousands of years, and not everybody wants to know that. And so it can be really overwhelming and it can feel like a really huge job, Feng Shui. And actually, I am absolutely the person that says something is better than nothing. It's a bit like you know, when the babies are young and somebody's encouraging you to breastfeed and you say, Well, something is better than nothing, right? So, and it I feel a bit like that with with Feng Shui. So pick the bits of your home, the areas of your home, using that those nine areas that are the biggest things for you that you want to shift for 2026. Now, it might be your career, it might be your finances, it might be your marriage, it might be um something to do with your children, it might be your health. So all of these various different um, you know, these various different areas of life and pick one or two and start there. I think if any of us go out with this thought that we can kind of overhaul our home and feng shui our home in a day or a weekend, it you're setting yourself up to fail. And it's the same with the with the thinking about the goals and intentions for the year. You know, if I say to you, right, just plan next year, you'll probably go, uh I can't do that. That's too much, that's too many things, it's too loaded. So start with the bits that are the most important. And when you are thinking about those areas of your life that are the most important to you, you know, we did an amazing um uh 2026 business planning session in a business membership that I'm part of. And what was incredible about that yesterday was that we didn't just look at next year, we went back over this year, what's worked, what's got well, what our big wins were, what hasn't gone so well. Um, and then when we were looking at next year, we were looking at how did we want to show up as a person, how did we want to show up as a business owner, what are the the big the big things that are really important to us. Um and it and it made me think about how I don't do that when I'm thinking about my intentions for you know my personal
Start Small: Choose What Matters
SPEAKER_00life and my home life or anything. I've never done it up to now, I've never looked backward before looking forward. And it was, you know, it was really quite powerful actually. So I would really recommend that when you're beginning to start thinking about this shift in energy and you're beginning to start thinking about the fact that you know, we might be wanting to update our intentions or put a bit more clout behind those intentions, go backwards first. So look at the year that has gone and look at what hasn't gone so well. So maybe you've had, you know, maybe you've had a pretty difficult year. We've had a pretty difficult year. So business-wise, obviously I've been wildly lucky, um, lucky and you know, intentional and hard work and all those things, but you know, to be in this space and be doing what I'm doing, I feel incredibly lucky. But in terms of personal existence, things have been quite tricky. And, you know, I think it's great to go to go backwards and think about what's gone well and what hasn't worked. And one of the things that I loved so much about the business planning session that we did yesterday was that we talked about how do you want to feel? So not, and this is what I talk about all the time. You know, if you're a client of mine and we have done work together and we have talked about um intention setting within your home when you're when you're placing your remedies, this is what I talk about all the time is that an intention, the words of an intention, they're powerful, but they don't hold like huge power. But when you allow yourself to feel what it would feel like to live that existence, that's where it gets wildly powerful. And that's what I would encourage you to do as you're thinking about this shift and you're thinking about what you might want to update your um your intentions with and your intentions to start with how you want to feel. How do you want to feel next year? Because ultimately that is what Feng Shui is all about. It
Look Back Before You Plan Forward
SPEAKER_00operates on feeling, it operates on creating a sense of something, whether that be freedom or abundance or joy or flow or whatever it is, that's the core of it all is how do you want to feel? So this is my invitation to you. I realise I've been raviting on for quite some time, so I'm gonna bring it to a close. But I think you know, what I would invite you to do is just have an awareness for now of the fact that these energies are shifting, and they are beginning to shift already. So if if things feel just weird or you know, everything feels a bit tense, it's because the energies are shifting, and and come February, you know, it will begin to settle in terms of you know, there won't feel maybe quite so much friction. But what I would say for now is have a think about the last year, and if you've got a journal, you can journal on it if you wanted to, have a think about what's gone well, have a think about what you would like, you know, to have gone differently, um, you know, with no judgment and no pressure, and then begin to bring some awareness to how you want to feel next year. So, what feelings do you want to bring into the into next year? You know, I one of the things that I wrote down is I want to feel a lightness and an energy next year. I want to feel like I'm almost buzzing, you know, low vibrational buzzing all the time. And I haven't felt that this year, I have felt quite depleted. And I would, you know, really encourage you to think deeply into that, what those feelings are. Not, you know, not go beyond happy, go beyond, go beyond, um, I mean, I can't think of, I can't think off the top of my head, but you know, try not to have that surface level of, oh, I just want to be happy. Try and go deeper. What do you want that to feel like in your body? What do you want it to feel like in your bones? Like, how do you want that to mean that you show up every day? How do you want that to feel when you walk down the street? How do you want to hold yourself? How do you want to hold your shoulders? How do you want to portray yourself? So, you know, go really deep into how you want those things to feel. And that is where the power is going to come with these intentions for next year. So start there and then when the new year comes around, like the 1st of January new year, allow yourself to start thinking about the areas of your home, what they represent, and how you would like to make some intentional shifts with the energy of those spaces. Now, obviously, if you have got um your home analysed and you are somebody who has got next year's remedies included, then you will get the remedies, and as you place them, that is your most powerful way of setting the intentions. I'm going to be putting written intentions
Feelings First: Intentions With Emotion
SPEAKER_00again this year in each of my areas because I felt that that was a really beautiful thing to do. Um, and it helped me focus actually, as somebody who's got quite a scattered and busy brain, writing those intentions down and placing them with the remedies, I felt really helped me to sort of focus that energy, um, which was really lovely. Um, and if you are kind of new to this and you don't know what your remedies should be, try not to take a guess. Um, it's a really, really challenging energetic year coming up, and we need to know what we're doing with those remedies in order to place them. So tread carefully with um with guesswork, is all I would say. I will put the link below to the nine areas download so that you can go and have a look at that if you are new to it. I will put a link below to the services that I offer, and they are varying in investment. So if you are somebody who wants to dip your toe in, there will be options for you. If you are somebody who thinks that this is the most incredible practice and you know you want to tame this beast that is coming for us in 2026, um, there are options there for you as well. So I'll put all of those below. I feel like I probably will record something about the goal setting party once it's happened because I am so excited. It's on the 30th of December. Um, and you can go over to Francesca Amber's uh social media and the links she'll be all over it if you want to come along as well. That would be fun. Um it is a paid event, so obviously take that into consideration. And yeah, I will update you all once we've done that, and I will update everybody with how I am going to communicate all of the incredible things that I've been learning about the fire horse year. It's taking me a little, not longer, but I'm absolutely committed to not just regurgitating what somebody's told me to regurgitate. If I'm gonna tell people about energy and I'm gonna educate people on energy and I'm gonna talk about it, for me, I have to understand it fully and I have to be absolutely behind what I'm telling you. So there is no point in me just finding something off the internet and regurgitating it to you. And unfortunately, that happens a great deal, is that there are people talking about this stuff who haven't actually done the work beneath it, and they're just telling you what they're told to tell you or what they have heard somebody else say, and I am absolutely committed to not doing that because for me, authenticity and integrity is at the heart of everything that I do. So I am not going to rush to do this because I want to make sure that everything that I am going to be sharing on that masterclass or the workshop or however I do it is absolutely um accurate
Written Intentions And Safe Remedies
SPEAKER_00and is applicable to everybody, whether or not you have had an analysis or not, because I still maintain that I am committed to making sure that Feng Shui can be accessible in some degree to everybody because I believe that much that it can change people's lives. So yeah, bear with me on it because it has to be right. It has to be right. And if I if I don't think it's right or I can't be 100% behind it, then you know it's not coming, it's not coming out. So I will be getting that done. It may well be the beginning of January now, but again, there is no rush because we are looking at February. Don't forget the 4th of February is the Feng Shui New Year, so there is no hurry. So don't panic if you, you know, don't start thinking, oh, that's the January and it's all gonna shift. It's not. We have got time, we've still got like six weeks until the shifting of the Feng Shui energetic. So don't panic. And I said I was gonna wrap up, so that is what I'm gonna do. I'm hoping that I might get one more podcast. Oh no, because it's Thursday, so Christmas is a week away. So this is it. This will be the last one before Christmas. So I really hope that you all have just a beautiful time, whatever you are doing. I hope you have some joy. I hope that your heart is filled, and I hope that we can all step into this um calendar new year with less pressure, less uh stress, and just with that kind of gentleness of allowing ourselves to start looking forward to the new energetic year in February. So, wishing you all a wonderful, wonderful Christmas, and I'll speak to you really soon!
