Hungry in the Middle of the Night

Vincent Fitzgerald Episode 5

On a foggy, late-night drive through western Virginia, three friends—James, Kyle, and Mark—find themselves stranded on a desolate highway with hunger gnawing at them. Their search for food leads them to Mel’s 24-Hour Diner, an old, dilapidated establishment exuding an eerie aura. Reluctantly, they step inside the rundown diner, only to discover that its unsettling atmosphere is only the beginning of their nightmare.

Inside, the trio is greeted by a disturbingly vacant waitress whose unnatural demeanor immediately sets them on edge. The menu, stained and barely legible, offers little comfort as they order their meals. Soon, the friends notice that something is very wrong: the food appears inedible, and the other patrons seem equally strange. Their discomfort escalates when a mysterious man in the corner, initially hidden in plain sight, reveals a grotesque, otherworldly face that only deepens the sense of dread.

Realizing that they are trapped in a place far from normal, the trio attempts a hasty escape. Amid eerie laughter and surreal occurrences, they finally break free from the diner’s grip and speed away, vowing never to return to that ominous, haunted roadside haven.
