Hello, hello, Lather Up with La and Chanelle is back for another new episode. And although we've had a slight interruption due to March Madness, there was still some stories to watch. But we begin this week with big congratulations to the super duper talented Michael B. Jordan for winning his first Oscar for the amazing movie, Sinners and

saw its first ever year over year gain among total viewers. So we are still in this. We haven't heard yet for season three, but as we continue with season two, we're seeing the gains. And also General Hospital averaged 2 million viewers for the 10th time in 11 weeks. And I feel like this is loyalty versus what we're seeing in the storylines. But the Young and the Restless ranked number one among soaps in women 18 to 49.

Continuing to tie the Bold and the Beautiful season to date. Loyalty. That's what I'm gonna say. Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty. ⁓ Are you implying that the storylines are not riveting? We will discuss this at a later time. Let's begin in the DMV with Beyond the Gates. Even though it was only three days, they packed a lot into those three days, including a fake out.

When I tell you, I rush to my phone to text Chanelle and be like, sweet, googa mooga, my gosh, Jacob, we knew he was in trouble, we didn't know he was in that much trouble, he won't in no trouble, they pulled a, we gonna date ourselves and we don't care, they pulled a Dallas, it was all a dream. Naomi just had, apparently she's been having dreams that we didn't know about, but she had a nightmare that her mom had to deliver the bad news.

after being told by Elon that Jacob got shot outside Ophrey Genes while undercover. Never happened. I was like, not my Jacob, not my undercover brother. The devil is a liar. Sure enough, it was. I couldn't believe it. I should have been suspicious because it was right off the bat. Like it was the first scene this week, this past week. And I was like, that's how we starting off? With death of a main character?

I should've called coming. It's okay. That's what I'm here for. No, just kidding. But again, it just shows though, I felt this is one of the few times in a while that it had me being like, ⁓ Naomi cares because she has been throwing hooks and jabs and bricks at our brother for quite some time, ever since the baby scare. And without the pregnancy scare, you know, they've gone through counseling. We know that they're dealing with some of their other issues, but seeing that...

He couldn't live without her for another day and broke protocol just to have a quick booty call. I'm glad that at least she knows that she loves her husband and he was right there waking up beside her when she was ready. Well, actually he was already awake when she saw. So when she woke up, he was right there beside her apologizing for this undercover operation to take so long.

but he still did not tell her to watch out for Grayson. It's like, come on, man. I was surprised that he didn't, maybe he's concerned that if he says something about Grayson, it'll make her aware of what he's doing or something. But I thought he cares so much about Ashley. Lawyer Bae, like this is when you have to trust your wife because when all of your apprehension right now is falling on the shoulders of Smitty, my guy is not okay. Like he is like.

Pick up, pick up the phone, pick up, I gotta go. pick up, Jacob, what are you doing? You said when it gets dangerous, it's gonna be, I'm like, breathe. He looks panic stricken for this upcoming I don't think he's built for this right now. This is not the kind of journalism he is used to. I was gonna say, this is obviously out of his lane because you would think he'd be able to take this better. And honestly, I feel like Jacob can tell Naomi what's going on. Just give her a dime and be like, you know, attorney-client privilege or something. you go, spousal's privilege at this point.

But yes. But yes, Smitty's losing his mind and he just can't Well, someone who we already knew lost her mind, Leslie. But this week, she finally got some comeuppance. It was well done. And Kat got to watch it. Yes, firsthand. And look, karma. And that's it was. Nobody, I mean, somebody did a little something, but Kat didn't. Because that was the first person, of course, that is accused by Leslie. You did this.

just sat here and enjoyed the show. So this shouse. The shouse is no more for the time being, it's on hold. Darn that one inch. What had happened was Vernon called in a favor to Bill. Bill worked some magic and got an inspection done and one inch over the property line has caused all construction to be halted. She has to get.

whatever she was coming up with, her shouse, all the foolishness, she wanted a moat, like just the stupidest stuff. It cannot be built until it gets approval. And the construction foreman tried to tell her and she's like, I've got money. This should be taken care of. This should be handled. Then he contacted the inspector and she was gonna try to not only...

use her money and bribe them, but she was gonna try to seduce. She put on makeup, pushed up the girls, and then a woman walked in who was not hearing any of her mess, circled pretty much the entire map that she had of what she wants done and was like, until this is changed, you get nothing. That's safe. She got an inch, but took the mile and vice versa.

It was wonderful. And who threw some cold water on her as well? Mr. Vernon. Hmm. Looks like you're having issues with the shouse and whatnot. And then she realizes that it was him who pulled the trigger. He was like, I have only just begun to fight, old girl. I'm coming in. Coming in hot. Taking you down. Like, finally. This is what we've been waiting for. Use your powers for good against somebody who's terrible.

And again, this was the karma needed because prior to her finding out about this renovation delay, minding her business in the country club, we thought that Leslie was turning over a new leaf. we never did. I didn't. No, we really didn't. You're right. No. But we had Chelsea, we had Madison, we had Danny, we had Kat ready to plan this wedding of the year for Chelsea and Madison. Next spring.

Wonderful. It was gonna be glorious. However, Leslie hears them, overhears them, and apparently not only takes the date, takes the band, takes the location, takes basically every idea down to the color scheme and is trying to use it for a wedding that will never ever, ever, happen. Not even close to happening because...

Eva and Isaiah have not even been dating six months. Isaiah has made it abundantly clear. I ain't trying to marry nobody, but I do really care for Eva. And Eva is not... She's not there yet. Yes, she's just thankful to have a guy on the regular. And Leslie is trying to manifest a wedding that if she keeps it up, probably will never happen. Yeah, and so with doing this...

It comes out because once they try to make the plans and call the right people, they're like, it's booked. Every date, the backup dates, everything? Like even down to the dress designers? And finally someone breaks call because they were gonna try to find one of the wedding planners who was like backup of the backup. And she's right near the country club because she's working with Leslie and she's flustered and all get up. She is like, I'm about to quit the industry.

She has had one meeting with Leslie and is already ready to walk away. Look, some people need to have that kind of sentiment. Like sinners do not welcome in that vampire. Like, don't welcome her in. It was crazy. But luckily now that they know that and everything else, to the point that Kat even confronts Isan was like, you know, you might not listen to me, but I thought you were smart enough not to propose to Eva. And she was like, wait a minute, wait, what? So.

We had that trickle down effect, but I'm still mad at him though, because while he laughs off and jokes, and he did put Leslie in her place about slow it down, when he talks to Eva about it, he's like, well, maybe we should keep the date and do something for the clinic now that it's open, maybe like a gala or something. No, sir, if you don't give up that date for Chelsea and Madison's wedding, give them back everything that they planned.

And use this as a peace offering, Eva. It's like, come on, girl, you're smarter than this. Your mama was doing too damn much. This could have been your way to at least apologize for more of her antics. No, instead you go to your dad talking about, need mama to just chill out with Izaiah You're missing the big picture, and that's why you are still looking out beyond the gates in your apartment building, like, girl. What also upset me was the fact that she...

went running to Ted, mama's out of control. This woman has been out of control since the first episode. She has been a menace. Yes. Every time she's on the screen. All your life you've had to fight your mama, her craziness. Yes, and for you to be like, she is out of control. I'm like, why you acting like you just seeing this? So she demands that her dad steps in and is like, shut her down. What happens? Leslie comes over.

and is again causing problems. He's like, what are you doing? You are making things harder for your daughter and her new man. Just back off. And she's like, why don't you fire Eva for me? Because she doesn't like Derek. She thinks that he's too mouthy and he, I'm starting, I'm not gonna lie. I'm starting to like Derek. A little bit more time with your niggas. A little bit. Like she a few things. He was like, I thought you knew.

I don't have to deal with you. I don't have to talk to you. Cause she gave him crap because he was at lunch working at the diner. I don't pay you. He was like, I don't care what you do. You and I are never to speak. I only deal with Eva and Eva alone. He called and told. He took a picture of her looking nuts. It was awesome. So much respect for Derek now. Ever since he left the firehouse, he done got a pair and I'm happy to see him.

But it was just, she was on a tirade. Everything she could do, she was just making enemies even more. Even Shanice's aunt, Dr. McCormick, she seasoned the woman because she was visiting her niece in the hospital and she, they went to lunch, but Ted couldn't go. So she brings Shanice back to the hospital and she's like, ⁓ I hope to be able to say goodbye to Ted before I leave.

Leslie is walking past on her way out, heading to the elevator. What'd you say about Ted? What you know about Ted? And she's like, who are you? And Shanice is like, that's Leslie Thomas, AKA the one I told you about. That's a problem. And Leslie doesn't know this woman. She could have been anybody in that hospital. She could have been Ted's boss. You didn't know. And she's like, well, why don't you take your, you know, well-to-do self

elsewhere and leave Ted alone. Dr. McCormick was not having it, came right for Leslie. I'm kind of hoping she stays just to give Leslie a problem. Again, it was three days, three episodes, three times that Leslie struck out this week. Okay. I appreciate it. We're on the right path. This might get a few more viewers because this is what we've been talking about wanting, needing, desiring. It was glorious.

And it also helps with the emotional stuff that happened in these three days too, because my heart, Miss Anita and Bill having their moment. Bill gets on my nerves so much for the mistreatment of Dani but when he does stuff like he did this past week, you remember he has a heart. He couldn't even look at Miss Anita. She came down and she look broken. She looked like she'd been through it and

She overhears what he did for her by getting the construction stopped at Leslie's property. And she's like, I came down to thank you in person. He can't even look at her. He's looking up, he's looking around. And she sends Vernon out on a errand to pick her up something. She's like, I want some stripping grits from Oprah jeans. So can you go away? It was just a way to get them alone. And Bill still can't look her in the eye. She's like, I need some honesty from you.

What do you see right now? Do you see cancer or do you see Ms. Anita? And he goes, see my mama. When his mother apparently got sick and he's like, cancer took her light away and I'm seeing your light dwindle too and I need you not to it. He gave her a great speech. Yeah, I mean, just, he said, think what his father basically took his mother's light away and just the fact of having to correlate.

you know that he has always craved that belonging and that family sense of belonging with the Duprees. So from knowing how he felt about Vernon, but to saying he's looking at Miss Anita and seeing like the crab, the red devil taking her light. And it reminds me of this much. I was like, Bill. And then to take it even further, Kat comes in. ⁓ don't really say anything. She just falls into his arms and he just

holds her and he's like, just because we're not legally family anymore doesn't mean you can't call me. My phone number still works. I was like, Bill, damn it man. Again, everything he does to Dani, you hate him. But then as a father, I mean what he's done for Chelsea and Madison, how he treats and loves Kat. I swear, sometimes I feel like Dani and Bill are better parents to Kat than Ted and Nicole. And it's just baffling

I mean, I know I love my auntie, but like the way that her aunt and uncle just ⁓ validate her feelings and I just. And his speech was so motivating that Miss Anita called Dr. McCormick and was like, I need you to work on my case. So her fight had dwindled a little bit, but he reignited it. And I have to give him his flowers. Damn it, Bill. ⁓ Why you gotta be good sometimes?

here for it. I know he did. I was misty. I was like, my goodness, boy, what you doing? True. Look, and aside from that fight, this triangle that Dr. Nicole has going on between Kial and Carlton. Now that I think about those are two close names, girl. Be careful in bed. Just be careful. ⁓ But even with them, the fact that she keeps learning more and more about the whole basketball brawl, if you will, because

They went from trying to compete to just take each other out. Then it's the idea that they know that both of them have done the do with Dr. Nicole. And now even Kial, like he was trying to play it cool, but he ramped it up with the apology because he kind of butted into conversation that Carlton and Nicole were having, but amped it up by giving her basically a key, if you will. Like,

saying this is for you, like I am putting down roots and I've never had to fight for a woman, but I will learn how to do this to take the number one spot. I think he said what, Call him A and call him B. He's like, hey, I don't know about the B's, but I'm like, ooh. So even though she probably will not make a like solid choice anytime soon, again, both of them are doing better than Ted at this point when it comes to at least fighting for her love.

We'll see where it goes. I was very impressed. I was like, and just like Nicole said, she's like, nothing is more attractive to me than a man that'll admit he's wrong. And he came on bended knee, not marriage proposal, but he came head in hand. Like I messed up, but here's a peace offering. Here's the key to my new home. Come and go as you please.

and I don't intend to be seeing anybody else. So she was like, what happens if I come over unannounced? He's like, you will come over unannounced. Pour your glass of wine, babe. Like, we're good. I was like, get them, Kial get them. So that's one of the things we're lurking on. And then just again, the relationship is on the rocks and neither of really know it, but Ashley and Grayson, outside forces might be tearing them apart if it's not Jacob already threatened to tell Grayson, look.

But now Dr. Leah, the chief of staff, ⁓ she rode Ashley hard for the mismanagement of what's happening at the hospital in her little bit of time while she was filling in for somebody. The way she talked to Ashley, I don't know if she'll be allowed to fill in anytime soon again as a supervisory.

But again, he's not equipped for this life. Woo! All right, now let's head on over to Port Charles. Port Charles, who have the worst mobster and henchmen I've ever seen. Jason spent least 20 minutes on the roof, supposedly gonna shoot, call him. He aimed and then he pulled back. And then he aimed and then.

Brennan got in his way. Take them both out. That's what I thought he was gonna do. No, he can't And then he contemplated. And then he did it again. I was like, and then he ended up leaving so he could go to his son's basketball game and he shot no one. Sir, you got one job. You're already leaving for God knows how long, Mr. Burton. The least you could have done was took a body.

Look, he's still not as bad to me as Randy on Beyond the Gates. Never gonna be that bad. the principle. Like, if you gonna bring it out the shooter, then shoot somebody. Like, if that's the case, you should have been at the docks and the piers waiting with Brett because Lucas finally came through. Shout out Marco. Even though they really weren't smart about it. No. But they got the medicine. And now it's like, go forth, Britt, and find how to get the dosage and mixture you need. But again, you...

Marco, you putting a lot of pressure on your daddy to be the one to save you when Cullum, as well as now we know Pascal. Got a little crushy crush. And the crush is a little upset because he don't like Lucas and the fact that you are causing issues for him, but he's blaming it on Lucas, which is also very interesting. Not just one, it was two because they said Pascal said Remember you said that there were four there were six vials. Now. I only see four. I'm like, ⁓ no, he was supposed to grab one because he was a problem was you keep catching Lucas and Marco at the safe. Yeah, every 10 seconds. So of course, you're going to think one of them took it if they had spread it out or like you said last week, go at two in the morning when people are asleep, I suppose that every time there's traffic.

Or can we at least take a little bit of extraction from all three or That's exactly what Marco should have done. Taking a syringe, took some out, and then you could have gone from there. Give them bless their hearts. Unfortunately, it does not look good for Marco as we ended this past week because Cullum comes and he has a weapon behind his back and he closes the door. Now, it's much like you said, they kept blaming Lucas for all this. I thought Lucas would be the next target, but I don't know what they gonna do to Marco, but it looks like Cullum might try to take him out. And if he does, Sidwell is going to blanket scorch earth in Port Charles because...

He has been doing everything that he can to keep his son happy. if you, first off, he can't even blame Sonny for this because Sonny don't know half of what's going on at Windermere. So whoever he thinks did it is gonna go down because his son is his world. Well, and then I was just thinking because we left on Friday because General Hospital didn't have any interruptions with Dante.

And she made her come down to General Hospital to take a pregnancy test. You pee on that stick and you do it now. And not only, she was like, look, I'm be here for you. But then she turned around and found out that Jordan is not pregnant. Why even scare me with the foolishness? Okay. Yes. But then it's going to go to Portia and be like, look, I need you to stay out of Jordan's business and her pregnancy business, which she is not by the way.

Go, your marriage was on the rocks and all this other stuff and Curtis, he's happy and all this. What in the pot calling that kettle black is going on? Especially since Jordan was like coming for Portia when she's like, ⁓ should I tell Curtis the way you told on me? And she's like, you mind your business. Where was that energy when I was pregnant and wanted to tell him myself? And at this point I give.

Portia props because she didn't take out her phone, text or call or show up at Curtis' door and say, your girl might be pregnant. Like, she let it slide. She was like, you know what? I'm gonna do this solid for her and realize that I have put too much energy and time and effort and concern into hating her. It is what it is. And I give her those commendable moments, and her and Stella had a moment.

But it's like, how far must we go in trying to prop up Curtis? Because then Jordan is like, oh, you know, it's between my health and I just don't know about kids and everything. Why are we still talking about this if you ain't pregnant? Probably don't want to get pregnant. Probably if you do. a grown child. We don't have to, and he about to have a child. You should be good, sir. And you know, again, it goes back to while he might have many jobs, he's still a hobosexual moving in with you, like.

Like again, he's just that good guy, nice guy that I always have to side eye because I just don't trust Curtis. And you make me want to try to root for it. And right now, like fetch, it ain't happening. my gosh. Let's talk about your favorite friend, the ultimate spy. Joss. It ain't Harriet. Joss climbs into the window and demands answers from Britt.

and demand that she don't tell nobody about her being a WSB agent. First off, Britt got bigger things on her plate. She ain't got time to care about you or your mother or anything to do with whatever you're doing. She trying to live that part. And then she also spoke very disrespectfully to Carly when she came over and saw Sonny and Carly talking. She's like, you still talking to him? He's a horrible person.

You're not great either. Please remember that. Look, and when you have to have the mobster to be like, hey, don't disrespect your mother in her own home. And Carly's like, you know what? Yeah. Respect me. It is my house. They be like, little girl, who are you talking to? I will tell Brennan I know. Like, what, you know, I just need more. I need the threats of, this is your mama. Like, I need you to like, maybe take it down five notches. When you come to Carly's house.

Maybe check going upstairs, see if Valentin's still there before you just come in like swinging. It was really very, very hard to root for her. I never root for her. Yeah, cause even going out, like she's, think at this crossroads, if you will, where Brennan is like, you are basically swiped from the WSB files, go live your life. You're still a sleeper agent. And like she's supposed to be going out with Trina.

and all the others, like the fact that she was even trying to hang out with Emma and our boy Gio. And Cullum is there with Brennan, which is getting so weird. Like you both hate each other. You know you both are playing different sides. We know this. You know it. And then it's like Josh kind of going up to Cullum and he sees this and Trina's there and she's like, oh my gosh, hi, it's, you know, I remember you. And Trina's looking at her like, girl, like what the heck is going on? And then she's like, woo.

Sorry, I had to fake being a dumb college student. And Trina's like, did you? Did you? Like you laying in a real thicket. She's like, yeah, because he gives me the creeps. That's not the move for someone that gives you the creeps. You avoid them. Everybody knows that. That part, like no one told you to play Queen's Gambit and try to beat him at chess, girl. Like, Joss. As we pointed out, Brook Lynn is getting very close to this Jane Doe, AKA she has now named Phoebe. We don't know where Phoebe came from. Like Chanelle said, I thought it was going to go with Delilah, but apparently no. She is calling this child Phoebe and she's like, I got a great idea, Chase. Let's take her until the family found her. Of course, of course, of course. And this is gone. This is Michael.

Michael got down and dirty in the gatehouse with his little friend, Ms. Jacinda, and got caught afterwards by Olivia, because she came down to get something for Leo that he had left. And the Pearls got clutched. Olivia called a family meeting, bugged the heck out of Tracy, who was trying to arrange who Danny is going to stay with if something happens to Jason with Alexis.

And she finally comes back home and she's like, what do you want? We need to discuss Michael and the company he keeps. And it's just not good. He could, anybody could have caught him. And honestly, I would have just gave them the design and be like, you know what, these are yours. Enjoy, but I will not perpetuate. I won't give you anymore. But you do what you like. Yes, you paid for them as Bill said. Take them. And again, it's like you will never recreate anything else. And they were beautiful designs on the runway. It's just the idea of now you have Brooke coming in hot.

I don't think you understand what it's like to be poor, but I do. was like, technically you could have gone back home. You didn't want to. Electra's like Forrester her adjacent. Like she wasn't living this kind of life. But Dylan act like she was like, I have nobody. You just didn't want to embarrass yourself and go back home with nothing. That's on you. She's not caring about the drug edge. All she knows is I thought you were on the verge of death I thought Victor had your life in danger instead. I see you having a good time with this crazy woman I'm out and she leaves and when I say she leaves she didn't just leave the yacht she left the Abbott home that she redesigned and

didn't look back, so I'm sure she's at the athletic club or wherever, but she is more than angry at Jack, and Jack don't know how to make things right. Kyle tried to talk to him, Billy tried to talk to him, and he's like, I don't even know. I don't know what happened. And it's like, mm. My question is, did something really happen, or did she just drug him enough to get him undressed, get in the bed with him, and make it look like something happened? Per Victor.

Either way, it just didn't look good. And the fact that again, Jack got slapped hard by Diane. Like he is truly rethinking his whole stance of what happened. And even if you were trying to seduce Patty to get off the boat, mission not accomplished, my guy. You did too much too soon. And unfortunately,

Now everyone's going to try to blame Victor, but it's like, he might've laid up the dominoes, but he didn't push and topple that one over. Like that was you and Patty and the drugs. And then Billy is like, okay, let's sign the paperwork so I have Chancellor now. Well, what happened was I decided to be a good person. Your brother's safe now. And I thought that was because of me. So I gave Chancellor back to Victor. Billy is so upset.

But again, if you had just texted her or something to let her know, bide your time. Do not do anything with Chancellor. We are trying to get Jack. Screw Victor and everything he's doing. But he lost it. And so he goes to his girl Sally and she's like, well, just to remind you, Spectra Charles is up and running. There will be no Abbott communications. So what's your plan?

I know, I know, you you and Audra are running things. I'm like, but you still unemployed though. Hobosexual. Hobosexual. It's one of those things where it's like, you want to root for Billy sometimes, but it's like, man, like you didn't even have chance for a good two minutes. Couldn't pick up new wallpaper. And again, the fact that your supposed best friend is like his arch nemesis, Nikki, it's not going to bode well for you. You've got to pick a side. And then the way that Diane is laying hands on folks, you got to be careful because...

I feel like she blames you and it's like, what now? First it's Nikki, now it's Patty. Who want these hands? Because Diane is tired of all these women trying to come for Jack's rescue, his heart and emotions.
