Bold and the Beautiful: Sheila follows her killer instincts and catches Taylor and Deacon. Young & the Restless: Genoa City is still falling apart after Phyllis takes over Newman Enterprises.
La (00:06)
Hello, happy Easter y'all. It's another episode of Lather Up With La. All right, so the news of this week is that we have the return of Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox to Young and the Restless. That's right, ladies and gentlemen. They're coming to Genoa City reprising their old roles of
Chanelle (00:11)
And Chanelle
La (00:35)
Malcolm Winters and Stephanie Simmons. So back in the 90s, Olivia, who was Drusilla's sister, set them up and they had a little thing going on, but apparently they have come back and they will be back starting April 7th. I cannot wait because I've been a Shemar fan for many, moons, but the rumor is that they're coming back.
You would think it would be for Lily since Malcolm is actually her father, not Neil, the late Neil Winters, Kristoff St. John, RIP. But because they might be the parents of Holden. And if that's the case, woo, because There will be so many questions if those are his parents.
Chanelle (01:23)
I'm just excited to see some tried and true soap stars return to Genoa City. But this Holden storyline, like I say, I forget that he's even working with Cane I forget that he is Winters adjacent. He came to town thinking that he was truly Damien when he's not. Like, I need something more with him because as beautiful as he is to look at, him pining over Claire and trying to stir the pot with Audra is getting old.
La (01:29)
Yes.
Mmm.
Correct. All right. By any chance, do we have any Nielsen Knowledge?
Chanelle (02:00)
When it came to the week of March 23rd to 27th, General Hospital was up week to week among total viewers. And I have to shout out Beyond the Gates. It saw its largest every year over year gain last week. And, you know, we are in season two of Beyond the Gates, but we are looking at the years past. And last year, they started off strong and kind of plateaued, but
I think it was Anita's storyline last week that got to people.
La (02:28)
Absolutely. That week
was just so emotional. And I think that the story has done such a good job showing you the highs and lows and just attempting to maintain for any cancer warrior. And The actress, Tamara Tunie I was in tears pretty much every day.
that week. So if anybody brought in the viewers, it was that storyline.
Chanelle (02:55)
So they gotta keep it up.
Yeah, and also you gotta shout out General Hospital. They average more than two million viewers for the 12th time in 13 weeks. And again, it's that loyalty, Young and the Restless marked its ninth consecutive week, averaging more than three billion viewers. Now imagine if the storyline was really good, I'm surprised.
La (03:05)
What?
I feel like we just clocking in. Doing our time, doing our hour every day and then walking away like, Hopefully, yes. We had an Easter celebration in the DMV, but before that, we've had issues with Lynette and Hayley We've had issues with Jacob and Grayson.
Chanelle (03:20)
I'd do this for you all.
But let's start in Beyond the Gates. Come on now.
La (03:44)
The plot is thickening in and I'm here for it. We even have had Tomas deciding that Hayley is up to something and Hayley is trying to get him fired so he's taking matters into his own hands.
Chanelle (04:01)
Look, you know how I feel about Tomas, but at this point, Tomas has gained, some of my appreciation because he has been sticking up to himself and he knows something's off kilter with Hayley Surprisingly, as bad as I feel about Hayley, I sometimes like Lynette's messiness. The fact that she charged $15,000 in charges at the hotel when she was staying there.
La (04:04)
HAHAHAHA
100 %!
Chanelle (04:29)
with the seafood towers and buying $1,500 dresses and Botox and all these spa days. Like someone is actually giving it and serving it up to Hayley. And the fact that Bill still hasn't realized that she's in on it. Again, it's shocking to me because it's like, when is he gonna be this cutthroat lawyer that I know he is, but he has this blind spot and this soft spot for his wife, because even Kat had to come out.
to hold her man down and to be like, I don't trust Hayley or Lynette
La (05:04)
The issue with me is we've already given you more than you deserve. You got your case taken up by one of the top attorneys in the DMV. Then you ended up getting it pro bono. Then you got put up in a hotel because you didn't feel safe. Then supposedly you helped his wife, okay. But like you said, the $15,000.
Chanelle (05:18)
Pro Bono. Mm-hmm.
La (05:32)
The still staying in the hotel now that the charges are dropped. We've done all we need to do for you. There needs to be no more helping you out. We've helped you. You're not in jail. So the fact that Bill is still like letting it go because Hayley supposedly explained, well, she was still feeling some kind of way. And then the whole Tomas thing, because the issue is Hayley saw.
Tomas sort of flirting with Lynette, but unfortunately he went the wrong way to try to get her to relax and tell him more about herself. Cause he hasn't been able to find anything about her on the social media. She has a completely clean slate, which makes no sense. Cause no human has nothing on the internet and he, right. He has a food blog or something. So the fact that
Chanelle (06:20)
Look, even Joey has some social media pages.
La (06:27)
He hasn't been able to find anything on her. Makes him leery. And so he's trying to get that information from her. And Hayley felt concerned because Lynette was like, well, he ain't got nothing to look for me no more, because I'm not even a case for them. But he could be looking on some dirt for you. And that's all she needed to hear. So she's like, my god, Bill. I saw Tomas talking to Lynette and he made her feel so scared because he was harassing her and hitting on
disrespecting your niece so you need to get rid of him and everybody knows Tomas wouldn't do that He's trying to become a partner at the firm right now he's a junior partner. He knows what happened to the last fool who was doing that sexual harassment stuff and he was blatant about it and it took forever for him to get fired so they're on high alert plus he's been helping with that
Chanelle (07:19)
Yep, Mike.
La (07:23)
organization that Bill came up with of women to make sure nobody else gets sexually harassed. So why would he do that knowing that Bill has an eye to make sure nobody ever does what the last guy did that he had to fire? It makes no sense.
Chanelle (07:39)
That's true.
And just the fact that he hasn't brought all of his assumptions to Bill previously, but he finally did to Kat. And like Kat said, this just doesn't seem right from the social media to the names, to what she's been asking, to just basically how close she is with Hayley. And Katlock was on the case and she basically locked it down quickly to the point that she laid out what she thought
to Bill and it was on the money from the idea of seducing him as her, know, cousin's best friend to now you're with her dad to the fact that there's just something about this Lynette and Hayley thing and they probably know each other. And as much as it pains Bill, I think he's starting to open up and think about it a little bit because he at least went to Joey to try to get information about Lynette.
La (08:38)
And you know Joey's already had his suspicions because Randy with his sloppy self, meeting up with Hayley, then lying and saying that he was messing with Hayley. And Joey has got such good spies that he came at Randy with like, you say you don't know Lynette, then why were you licking stuff from her fingers at Ophrey Gene's And he's like, I'm like, stop.
Chanelle (09:02)
Randy go to Randy.
La (09:05)
Stop trying to lie to Joey. He always knows. Especially people he paying. He is keeping up with you and you are making mistakes left and right, my guy.
Chanelle (09:17)
Again, ever since that jammed gun, just, always have to shake my head when it comes to Randy. That and that terrible weak poison. I just like, Randy he's like, I got this. I can control my boss. Sir, you almost got taking out your damn self. Like, what are you doing?
La (09:28)
Ugh.
And what is
up with Hayley? Like, look, Bill is getting on my nerves. We just need to kill him and get that 10 million. And again, Randy may not do a great job, but he does have some sense. He's like, if anything happens to Bill, who do you think they're gonna go to first? You! You are gonna be the first suspect. So we can't just kill him because you're tired of this.
Chanelle (09:53)
You're the number one suspect.
so true, but he's also enjoying his cake because apparently Lynette has gotten back in his bed too. So he's reaping some of the benefits, but I'm like, out of all the people you're trying to take out, maybe take out the other grifter who does it better than you both because she's gonna blow up your spot. Maybe like focus on that angle, but they won't.
La (10:08)
Yes. He is.
They won't. All right. And then we had Easter celebration at the club. Miss Anita, after getting her treatment for her sepsis and the cancer treatment, she had a good day. And in having a good day, she put on her Sunday best, rocked her ChelseKat Anita bag and told Vernon.
surprised him actually was like, get dressed. We going to celebrate with the family at the club, cause I've never missed an Easter and I'm not going to start now. He was elated. They go there and who did they find? They see Dani and Nicole being berated by who else? Anastasia talking about Samantha again, how she's not a real Dupree and her granddaughter is going to win the cotillion.
Chanelle (10:55)
tradition.
La (11:16)
competition and Anita comes in and is like, look at here. Ain't gonna be no more talking about my family. This is supposed to be Easter when we restore, renew and Don't mess around and find out because I'm not gonna have you. Yes, he's like, I'm not gonna have you mistreat my family no more.
Chanelle (11:17)
Mm-hmm.
So she hasn't rolled that stone away just yet. Go ahead.
La (11:42)
And she's like, well, I was just saying, she's like, heard what you said. And then Vernon had her back. I was like, I love these two. I love these two. And then Vernon was handing out more grace because he pulled Bill aside who just laps up any compliments he gets from Anita or Vernon. And he thanked Bill for helping Anita get her affairs in order and that he will be taking care of the legality stuff if anything happens to Anita. And Bill was like,
it was my pleasure. I hope I'll do a good job. And the fact that Vernon said, know you will. When I tell you that man's chest puffed up, he was so happy. It was cute. It is cute.
Chanelle (12:22)
I just love their relationship. do. I mean,
he's been looking at his life anyway. I mean, after all the things happening with the Miss Anita, he's already done that 180 where he doesn't want to have kids with Hayley. Good for them both. The idea that he updated his will and is willing to talk to Dani about it, which again, they do better as friends in this kind of day and age of what they're dealing with with their daughters.
La (12:37)
Thank goodness.
Chanelle (12:51)
And with that, I feel like the family needs to kind of serve with the wagons again. I love it when they're together. The fact that Bill and Dani came for bless her heart, Naomi, she's spiraling a little bit to be a lawyer and knowing that your husband is undercover. She's just not doing well.
La (13:12)
Honestly, I feel like it's crazy that they keep playing the he's in a training thing. Because he's a detective. So it is possible he could be undercover. You don't know what he's doing, so you're not spilling anything, cause he wasn't gonna be there for their anniversary. And of course that really upset Bill. He was like, he can't take off for training one day to spend time with his wife.
on their anniversary? Well, if you told people that he was undercover, or least your parents, somebody, because they think that they're having actual marital issues, which isn't the case.
Chanelle (13:48)
If anything, it's spicier. again, look, as the DMV will tell you, for all them government workers who have high clearances, you can't sometimes outright say I'm undercover. But I just don't like the fact that he could be popping up from time time, kind of like when Isaiah saw him just chilling in the alley. Like he has to do a better job of staying incognito. Like that's what he needs to do.
La (14:11)
And stop
with the booty calls on the burner phone.
Chanelle (14:16)
Yes, like again, I feel like you need a covert just to be like, I'm good. Not being like, stop by. And then it's like you stop by. My whole motto is bread before booty. Like, you know that your anniversary is going to be the next day, which is again, why did y'all get married the day after the Easter celebration, which is weird. But it's this idea that you didn't have any flowers this time. You didn't even have Chinese food at the ready. You were just like, I missed y'all. I wanted you.
I feel like a pregnancy scare is gonna come down the road if she doesn't be careful.
La (14:50)
Speaking of other questionable relationships, so Vanessa begged her bestie Nicole to go on a double date with her so she could get to know the Joey that she loves. And Joey was not having it. He is nothing if not blunt and he does not hold his tongue. And we have learned last season that he lost his mother to a
complication after she got plastic surgery, which makes Dr. Carlton a target for him. So as soon as they sit down, they're having drinks, about to order apps. And the next thing out of his mouth is like, you're in that profession that makes people feel bad about themselves. So the only way they can feel better is to get surgery unnecessarily. And he's just going in. And of course, Nicole goes to his rescue, but then he's like,
You know, you really should keep quiet with your political family that be doing dirt all the time. And sometimes people have to help them. And other times they know where bodies are buried. I was like, and all you see is Vanessa taking shot after shot of her drink. She's like, ⁓ no, no, no. It's getting out of hand to the point where it was so uncomfortable that Nicole decided they should jet. But then Dr. Carlton puts his foot in his mouth and it's like, what was up with, ⁓
Chanelle (15:56)
Yep.
La (16:14)
Joey looking at you side-eye when he was talking about bodies buried. And of course she covered it up because we all know that he helped with when Martin accidentally killed the man who was trying to take out, him and his grandfather on that old country road, And she's like, ⁓ you know, they've been talking about that for years with politicians, bodies are buried, you know, quote unquote. and I think Joey did imply that she's acting differently or something along those lines.
And that's when Carlton was like, I didn't want to say anything, but Joey did make a point. You have been acting out of character and I'm not going to lie. I liked the old Nicole and not this newfangled one, which was all Nicole needed to hear. You don't tell me how to be. So she cut the evening short and then used her key to go on over and visit her some Dr. Kial and no call, no texts.
just up in his bed. This man woke up to kisses. He was like, ⁓
Chanelle (17:13)
Look, good morning gorgeous. ⁓
La (17:16)
⁓
He was like, apparently you used that key. And he got an invite to the Easter celebration. And everybody was like, I thought Dr. Carlton was coming. Nope, Dr. Kial got the invite.
Chanelle (17:29)
Look, guess who's coming to breakfast?
Hey, guess who's coming to brunch more like it? But he held his own.
La (17:34)
Yes, yes. He got introduced to the parents.
He got introduced to the nieces. He made the rounds.
Chanelle (17:40)
Look, gave
him, look, Andre even had to be like, okay, what are your intentions with my IT basically? And he had to spill the beans a little bit about his feelings, which is surprising because he got to do that in front of the Duprees. And meanwhile, Carlton, who apparently is afraid of the Easter bunny, okay, random, but he really did. But he had to try to talk about his feelings and what went wrong.
La (17:48)
Yes.
I died. I died when he ran. He ran.
Chanelle (18:10)
with Ted. So not only did you take this man's ex-wife, but now you are trying to lean on him for support and like understanding. This is where the like friendship is too, too crazy as friendship. Like we are too close.
La (18:18)
and advice. Advice!
Yes.
So instead of a date with Nicole, he ended up with a date with Ted at the Uptown.
Chanelle (18:28)
Friendship, bros, I guess. But again, I think that whole like guess who's coming to dinner thing that Vanessa was trying to ⁓ make happen, it's like fetch, it's not gonna happen. And it also helped because even though was kind of a quick in and out, we saw Donnell and Deanna came back and she was still hot.
La (18:30)
Yeah. Ooh! Very odd.
Deanna
feels like so mad. So of course, Vanessa, she's just trying to make everybody love Joey the way she does and they can't get over his occupation. And honestly, she should be more leery, when she finds out what he did to Doug, whoo, she gonna feel so stupid, but that's neither here nor there. Deanna came back, she was hanging out with her brother, he took her shopping.
And who pops up unannounced? Mama. Donnell had set up something so Vanessa could ambush her. And she's like, let me tell you I tried with your dad. We started out strong. Then, I was raising you guys and then you all left the nest. And we just realized that we let things fall apart. But, then Joey brought light back into my life and Deanna was animate about, don't you tell me when that happened?
Chanelle (19:44)
⁓
La (19:45)
Was it before or
after my father died? And of course Vanessa lied. She was like, it was not while I was with your father. We all know that won't true.
Chanelle (19:55)
Look, ma'am, you were in bed when you found that.
La (19:58)
This is what I was like, what you mean? Not just in bed, you went in bed in another country with this man when you found out your husband died. Yes. So you lying, you lying. And Deanna was like, I know you lying. I was like, she good. And she demanded to leave. So Vanessa had to let her go and Donnell was there to comfort her. But Deanna is never gonna accept any Joey Armstrong.
Chanelle (20:02)
I think your daughter.
Puerto Rico was nice. yeah.
in.
she gonna stay on that neck and unfortunately she comes in like a wrecking ball, but you know, sometimes Vanessa needs that just to understand. But I am worried about Deanna though, cause out of all the children that might do something, she might be the one to try to take on Joey.
La (20:34)
Woo.
She might. I mean, she is just not gonna let up ever. Yes. Correct.
Chanelle (20:46)
The ultimate Danny's girl. Like the ultimate.
the Impaler with just Grayson and Jacob, I mean, we talked about him being undercover, but we still have to go into it because he's closer to knowing the structure of who the Impaler might be. Grayson let it slip that it was a woman who was in charge of him. The fact that Dr. LIa saw them in the stairwell. it's like, again, Jacob is pushing too hard. Somebody is going to get hurt again. We already know that we thought.
La (21:07)
True, that's right, that's right.
Honestly, did you even have
to meet him in person? Why didn't you just text him?
Chanelle (21:23)
Well, it's one of these things where he was nervous because he had the whole drop-off scenario, which they usually do in the elevator when he has his glasses or sunglasses, but his hat down to the brim. But it's because Ashley was in there. And while she didn't see him because Grayson was there to kind of counter that and kiss and like keep her busy, he got nervous.
But again, with getting nervous, he's like, well, we need to figure out the location and tell your meetup person that we need to do somewhere else. Jacob, you're doing an awful lot to be a low level player in this game, trying to make Grayson take on so much of the heavy lifting. To the point that, you know, he asked LIa and was like, someone almost caught us. And she's like, that's not my problem. Like, do better, be best. Like, you gotta do what I gotta do.
And so not only that, but she makes a good point. You don't think it's weirder if I was on a security camera seeing two people meet in a stairwell, handing off a bag, someone who's leaving, like it was just weird. And the fact that he did it and the fact that she was upstairs watching them do it, she was like, who was that? What's going on? They're gonna get caught sooner than they probably think.
La (22:45)
They're very, they're not,
yeah, they're very sloppy.
Chanelle (22:48)
And Jacob needs to worry about this because he's so adamant about bringing in this big fish. It's like, yeah, you kind of promised Grayson that you wouldn't mess with him, but you're nowhere closer to where you need to be and you need Grayson. And I feel like he tries to treat him as kind of like maybe just a bump in the road. And it's like, he's the one that's sticking his neck on the line. Smitty's person, Informant, already got stabbed.
Like there needs to be some sort of protocol where Jacob needs to focus on the mission. He needs to stop with the booty calls and the burner phone and he needs to really lock in.
La (23:28)
It's true. And I think I read the preview for this coming week is Smitty May Break a Law.
Chanelle (23:38)
Ugh, not the journalists, no!
La (23:39)
And most
likely it'll be because Jacob is not on all cylinders.
Chanelle (23:48)
I mean, we know, I think from them saying the impaler or at least whoever Grayson's contact is a woman, he might try to like sneak in the hospital and like maybe look at records or something. Who knows? I'm here for it, but who knows?
La (24:01)
That sounds right. That sounds like Smitty.
Yep. So we'll find out what happens with that this week. Now to Port Charles, where we...
Chanelle (24:11)
We called
it. ⁓ go ahead. Over the...
La (24:15)
You live for that. Okay, we did.
We did call it though. A couple of weeks ago and last week, you may have heard us say that Nathan is not Nathan. There are too many inconsistencies that Nathan of seven years ago would have never done.
He would have never walked away from Maxie. He would have never all of a sudden sucked at baseball and he would have never made crucial mistakes with investigations Turns out it's because it's not Nathan. We have now learned that there's a twin to Nathan named Cassius Faison. And I was like, who the heck is that? So Cassius.
Chanelle (24:56)
Okay, Cassius.
La (24:59)
So, Sidwell tells us his name for real, calls him to Wyndemere And we also learned that the reason why Maxie was taken out for a while was because Sidwell knew that Maxie knew Nathan so well, she would instantly know that that was not her husband. So, they gave her drugs to put her under for a few months to give Cassius.
the ability to have time to maneuver his way through Port Charles and make everybody think that it's Nathan.
Chanelle (25:35)
just want to commend us because like I said, we called it. I was just like, not my Nathan. I was like, there's certain things that just our spidey senses were tingling. And apparently when it comes to Lulu, she still has not caught on. And
La (25:48)
So hard.
That's to prove
that she is a crappy journalist. the fact that we're asking questions now after you slept with him proves that you suck. You always ask questions before, before you get involved. I mean, you risking your best friend relationship with Maxie. And now it's like, I wonder if, no, no wonders now. Don't wonder now.
Chanelle (26:14)
It's just one of those things where even for just poor Charles, this is where I side eye all of them. Everyone just continues to let him live his life. Where were you for those seven years, my guy? Like it just gets swept under the rug so many times that it's crazy to me. And now that we know that he's technically working for the bad guys, I'm like, What is the end game? Is he the one that has been playing around as Faison?
He's already threatened saying if Britt becomes too much of a bother, he's willing to take out his sister. Again, we called it. I don't mind him there, but what do I have to look forward to? Because while he's still doing his dirt, he's already checked in on Cullum Apparently he has more of a say in Cullum than Cullum realizes. I don't even know if Cullum knows that technically,
He isn't Nathan, the way that he was talking to him, I'm like, is Sidwell the only one who knows? ⁓ And then it's just this idea of with the Rocco situation, Rocco is like one sneeze and I'm sorry, away from like breaking down. And I feel like at this point, he has to keep his eye on him too, because he's trying to protect Rocco because he's liking Lulu.
La (27:37)
It's true, that's the only thing keeping that boy alive. Because I feel like if he wasn't having feelings for Lulu, he probably would have turned Rocco in.
Chanelle (27:48)
mean, again, we just have to, I guess, accept the fate of Jason being off the grid. The fact that WSB swooped in to take him away. The fact that Cullum's still in a hospital bed. The fact that Lucas finally realized after, again, talking to other people. Him and Britt surmised that Cullum was probably the one who killed Marco.
And he got that opportunity because Lucas and all of his infinite wisdom, texted Marco the location and was like target acquired with the dosage. But now Lucas is feeling like, dag, I basically set this into motion because I made Marco kind of prove his love to me and test him by getting the dosage for Britt. Britt didn't even get the dosage needed because Cullum destroyed it before she could leave.
And now we have to figure out what are we going to do because everybody feels bad for Jason, but they don't know if he really did it or not. I just don't trust Lucas being the one to take down Sidwell, but he might be one of the best hopes. I just don't know. And that also goes.
La (28:59)
Now that he knows because
Sidwell is so grief stricken that he's grasping at anything that was close to Marco. So he begs Lucas to stay at Wyndemere. But from the acceptance from Lucas, it looks like he's staying at Wyndemere because he wants to take out Cullum and possibly Sidwell.
which I would find hilarious because again, him and Joss are the most sanctimonious people when it comes to what Sonny does and they are doing it 10 times worse. If Lucas killed anybody, I would be like, mm-hmm, I guess it's not so awful to kill people when they've done you wrong and vengeance is it? And then you had the Pascal episode.
Chanelle (29:45)
black, white and a little bit of gray. ⁓
yeah. Pascal is sliding down the wall. Sad because the man that he loves is dead to the point that he told Lucas, it should have been you. ⁓ drunk. The fact that as the butler he flipped the tray. I was like, ooh, Pascal.
La (29:58)
He was drunk.
Chanelle (30:08)
He's not hiding or faking the funk any longer when it comes to Lucas.
La (30:11)
But it's not
just grief, it's guilt. Because now he has to accept the fact that he started the ball rolling by snitching on Marco and Lucas and telling about the vial being missing, which pretty much led to Marco's demise. So you not only were never gonna get Marco anyway, you got him killed and now you have to live with that. And now Lucas lives in the house so you have to see his face every day.
So it's torture. And when Sidwell finds out that Pascal was the one he gonna kill him.
Chanelle (30:41)
yes.
Yeah, when Pascal told Cullum about Marco, that definitely laid the dominoes out. I just need Sidwell to take another look because we know he thinks it's Sonny. He just is blinded by his hate for Sonny. And it was weird, I will say, for Sonny to pop up at the funeral, even though he was like, he popped up at the memorial just to be like, I'm not the one who killed Marco. But
I don't know if that was the best approach to it. just...
La (31:20)
Carly
said it best when Morgan died and Jerome had come and said, hey, I didn't kill your son. Would you have believed him? Would you have like welcomed him? Thank you for coming to the memorial of my dead child and telling me that. No. So you should have waited
Chanelle (31:41)
Look, send a bereavement basket or something. He definitely could have...
La (31:44)
Yes, an edible arrangement
that you love, the edible arrangement.
Chanelle (31:48)
But it's one of those things where it goes back to so many people who are there telling about the good things that Marper used to do. If they all would just talk, like you have Jordan, who is basically a double agent in and of herself, still working for Sidwell. Sidwell wants to get information on Sonny She still hasn't understood the assignment when it comes to giving Laura any other information that might be pertinent when it comes to Sidwell.
You have Sonny there. He knows that Cullum is the one who was trying to get him. Doesn't know that Cullum is the one who killed Marco, but we know that Lucas and Britt know that Cullum was most likely the one who killed Marco. We have Carly trying to figure out where Jason is, where she even got a little snappy with Brennan. It's like, what good are you to me if you're one of the WSB directors and you can't even get the information I need or tell me.
It's a lot, it's a lot going on in Port Charles. And at this point, Sidwell is swirling all around this. The WSB, I questioned them so, so much. The fact that Cullum is supposed to still be scary from a hospital bed. It's just like, what's going on in Port Charles? The fact that Sidwell with Willow, Willow has her eyes on a new target because she has Drew basically contained at the moment. And you got,
poor Kai and like Trina in her line of sight because they messed up too.
La (33:17)
because they talk too much. They are, the Scooby Gang sucks. So they go over and Trina brings a gift for Drew, which was suspect for Willow, because she's like, after what Drew did to your family, you feel that he deserves a gift from you? Well, you know, he's been through so much. Okay. Then.
Her phone goes off and it's the twinkle twinkle little star
La (33:47)
Willow just suspicious of them after they realized that the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was Wiley's ringtone. And the reason why they know that is because they heard it on the night that Willow shot Drew. But they should have kept it to themselves. There was no reason for Trina to be like, ⁓ Wiley's calling you. Why do you know my son's ringtone?
⁓ then 10 seconds later, Kai is like, ⁓ your phone must be in the living room. And she's like, how did you know that? you can hear it from the bedroom. I'm like, y'all just drop in breadcrumbs so she can definitively figure out what you know. And then to cap it off, they're discussing as opposed to maybe at her house
or not somewhere where, what was it? Wasn't it Willow's office?
Chanelle (34:42)
Mm-hmm.
La (34:42)
Why would you discuss
the attempted murder in Willow's office? She comes up, the door is not closed, because we don't do that on soap operas. And she hears Trina literally say, Michael is a good father, because we know Willow is terrible, because she tried to kill Drew. Like, she laid it right out. And Willow's like, which means that one of them or both of them are gonna die.
Chanelle (35:04)
Like, not to say you have to take all secrets to your grave, but I just thought teenagers and young adults would be smarter than this. I really did.
La (35:13)
And I have to laugh at Michael's little visit. He wanted to talk to Willow, but of course she wasn't there at the time and Nina was. And he's like, well, I'll just visit with my uncle. He sits across from Drew and he is blinking like a madman. He's like, what's all that blinking for?
Chanelle (35:28)
Again, Drew needs to save all his strength to try to move a finger or something because until somebody aside from Sidwell, because it was like, that's SOS. I'm not helping you. I helped her do this. ⁓ Anybody else, maybe Scout. So she has to be at home with the vegetable and Willow because at this point I feel so bad for Scout. Somebody needs to save Scout. Like just so much going on.
La (35:49)
Not the vegetable!
Free Scout!
Chanelle (35:58)
Like, you know how I feel for Scout because it's like you lost your mama, you can't see your other family members. Luckily, the restraining order has been lifted. But now that Danny is at your grandma's house, you could be there with your brother if Willow wasn't using you as a pawn. It's just a lot going on.
La (36:17)
And Danny is not doing well now that his father is gone. He is getting into fights. And Carly gave Alexis advice the other week. Look, he is definitively a product of Sam and Jason. You cannot cage this bird. He will need to have a little bit more lackness to him. And...
If you don't, he's gonna run away from you. So, shockingly, Alexis took the advice, and so he got in a fight, he got suspended. It was because people were talking about his dad and how he got snatched by the WSB, and it's good riddance, because he's a criminal anyway, and Danny just couldn't take it, apparently, which is shocking, because everybody knows what Jason does. So I'm sure other people have said stuff about him being a hitman or criminal, at least, but...
He had already punished himself. He was like, I'm gonna go to my room. Here's my phone. I know I don't have any TV. I can't go outside, And Alexis is like, here's your phone. You're gonna have to do chores. So she literally did take Carly's advice and was like, I can't lock him away because he's just gonna probably climb out the window or not come home once he goes to school. I can't risk it.
Chanelle (37:31)
That's true. the teenagers on General Hospital, I have to give them credit. They make me care and I root for them. It's just gonna be interesting to see because the biggest thing right now with Danny hoping that his dad comes back is Rocco, who is unfortunately, like I said, busting at the seams, but so far he hasn't told people that he's the one that actually shot Cullum.
However, the questions that he asked, the fact that he's going to Gio for hypotheticals, we'll see how long this lasts.
La (38:05)
give him another week before he has to tell somebody. He can't hold on to the secret much longer. Then we have the soap opera slap that you love, Britt and her best friend Brad. Brad comes to Britt's office and it's like, hey girl, I'm here for you. I know that it's upsetting that Jason is no longer here, but he was just gonna leave you anyway. You know he can't be trusted. All he does is try to hurt you and smack.
She slaps the taste out of his mouth and he's like, you get one, just one. What the heck was that for? And she's like, he saved my life and he loves me. And I got knocked out by Cullum who was trying to kill me. And when I did come to, he told me to tell the cops that he shot Cullum. And Brad was like, wait a minute.
Jason Morgan told you to tell the police that he did something Mr. Stone Cold who never gives any information without his lawyer and she's like yes That's how much he cares about me. He was like, ⁓ god and so she's like we got to go to the docks and figure out why this happened the way it happened so we can figure out how to get Jason back and so they go to try to investigate and
unless something was left at the pier, which it shouldn't be because the PCPD already went to get evidence, unless it's something they missed, I don't see how they're gonna be able to figure out it's Rocco unless they hear Rocco say, was me. Eventually he might but
She went down a, remember she went down a list, she was like, Is he protecting Danny? Because he loves that boy. Nah, is he protecting Sonny? Sonny wouldn't do that and try to ruin his life. Is he protecting Carly? Nope, she would never be able to keep her mouth shut. So they went down a list, but Rocco was never on the list.
Chanelle (39:55)
That's true.
La (39:58)
But GH is popping. There's a lot of stuff for you to try to keep up with, but I like it.
Chanelle (40:04)
Look, I appreciate it because we're not always just on one story or even just two where everybody who usually has a life of their own has to deal with it. Even for the side stories, you had Cody being the knight in shining armor that he is what happened? Surgery, right? I'll say it with this way. The fact that Cody was there in Molly's time of,
need not only winning a trip, but putting it on hold so that Molly could have her surgery and helping her and during recovery, that's going to be some sweet moments. Then you even have Rick and Elizabeth, who I actually like more than this whole Elizabeth and Dante thing that they keep trying to make happen. Not really feeling that. Yeah. So, but at least the fact that, you know, even with Rick and Elizabeth, he's like, look, I am
La (40:46)
I agree, I prefer them together. Yep.
Chanelle (40:54)
You know, not the biggest fan of Jason, but for my brother, I'm willing to try to help in any way I can. I appreciate that. the fact that Laura finally opened up and was like, yes, Rick, I was the other person in this drama that Sonny has going on. We found Professor Dalton's body in my car. Like those type of storylines, they progress. They have.
meaning behind the other larger storylines, but I appreciate the other characters giving me something that's still connected.
La (41:29)
I think this week is going to be the pop off for Charlie's reopening. think something is going to go down then.
Chanelle (41:37)
you think that Sidwell will try to take out Christina again?
La (41:40)
I think so. Sonny will lose his mind because you done tried to take out my daughter twice.
Chanelle (41:47)
A child for a child, okay? Hammerabi's Law.
La (41:49)
I feel like
he is, he's gonna do an eye for an eye. Like the fact that he has no other suspects in his mind except Sonny. And again, your reasoning doesn't make sense. Like, he kidnapped my son last year. Okay. He hasn't done anything to him since. So why would he be like, you know what? It's been like four or five months. Let me kill him. For what reason? To start a war?
Chanelle (42:09)
You
That is true. Yeah, let's do it!
La (42:15)
Yeah, let's kill him real quick. I ain't got nothing to do today. I know that's not how Sonny works. anything, Sonny don't ever really kill anybody. He talks a good game, but he rarely follows through as a mobster should. He's no Joey Armstrong.
Chanelle (42:29)
Like he really is like, look, mom's
worth a heart of gold if he can help it. A great tomato sauce. Like, he really is.
La (42:35)
Yes,
great tomato sauce and a cute little dog named Fizz.
Chanelle (42:39)
⁓ I love it. Well, the storylines was one or the other when it comes to Bold and the Beautiful. And I'm so mad that writers had me rooting for Team Sheila. I'm not a fan of Sheila because again, crazy is always going to be crazy. But I understand where she is right now when it comes to finding out her man has been cheating.
La (42:47)
Hahaha
Okay, so Deacon and Taylor have set up a romantic night because Steffy and the family went to the beach for a camping overnight stay.
And in the process of getting it on in Taylor's bed, Sheila hears about this from Li that Taylor is alone at the house because the family is gone and she's like perfect opportunity for me to go check on her and thank her for the 30th time. So she had some extra flowers at the restaurant, brings them over, the door is locked as it should be, the front door.
Chanelle (43:45)
Yes.
La (43:45)
And Sheila's like, well, the front door is locked. Let me go to the back. And lo and behold, the slide door stupidly is open. She comes in. She hears nice music, soft and low. She sees candles. And she hears what was sounds of pleasure. In her mind, it was apparently a sexual assault or an attack. So she grabs the nearest butcher knife she can find, goes up to the stairs.
tries to open the locked bedroom door. Can't get in, so she kicks in the door. Thankfully, Deacon has his karate skills and catapults himself off the balcony, leaves clothes behind, and gets out of dodge just before Sheila gets into the room. You see Taylor under the sheets, butterball naked, and she's like, what are you doing in my house? And she's like,
Are you safe? Are you in danger? I heard noises and heard music. What are you doing in my house? I came to thank you, but I got that. Could you put down the knife? Well, first off, was hilarious because Taylor was like, don't kill me, don't kill me, don't kill me. And Sheila, acting like she don't understand why the woman's afraid, she's like, why you got a knife though? She was like, well, I heard noises. I was coming to save you. And.
Eventually, Sheila comes up with the scenario once she sees the candles and sees the door has like cracked so you can hear the waves, she's like, ⁓ you was having some me time, weren't you? Now that's probably the first I've ever seen on a soap opera that addresses self-sexual care. Haha! That's a good point. I'll give you that. Did they
Chanelle (45:39)
even just the setup for it, I was like, it was an entirely too long.
La (45:44)
It took a while and then to make it even more cringy. Sheila offers, if you need some assistance, I got some audio books, cause sometimes I have to self care myself. I was like, haven't we been through enough? Don't do no more. Don't talk about it no more. Just go. Just take your butt and go. But in escorting her off the premises, Sheila starts collecting clues and...
She comes downstairs and she sees pizza box. And she's like, where did she get pizza from? I'm sorry, isn't that all y'all sell? Like you sell pasta and you sell pizza. And did you know that people don't always eat the whole pie in one sitting? Maybe the kids had it. Maybe somebody at work gave her the rest of their pizza. The fact that she was like, Deacon might've been here. I'm like, no, you ain't that good. Then...
Chanelle (46:37)
Bye-yeh!
La (46:39)
I was so angry. meanwhile, Deacon goes home with just some pants and his boots and no shirt. Mind you, he's already set it up. So Hope is his alibi. But then he calls Hope, don't forget, if anybody, especially Sheila, asks you, I was with you tonight. And Hope is like, what happened? I can't talk about it. Just please, for the love of God, don't tell anybody that I was with Taylor, I was with you.
and then hangs up. now Hope is all flustered and Deke is all flustered, but he gets home and instead of going to bed, he decides to take a shower and change, and then sleep on the couch, which again makes us suspicious. So Sheila comes home, sees him on the couch, can't wake him up even though he's faking. This man is snoring. Like, I'm like, you putting it on a little thick.
but she leaves him on the couch and wakes up the next morning. He was like, ⁓ I was so tired when I got home. I'm like, wrong lie. If you had said that you weren't feeling well after having dinner with Hope and you didn't want to disturb her because you were having tummy issues, she probably would have accepted that better than I was just too tired to go the other 13 inches from the sofa to our bedroom. Stop acting like your apartment is a mansion.
It don't take but a couple steps to get from the bedroom to the kitchen to the door.
Chanelle (48:03)
That's true, and the fact that he was shirtless to begin with outside of the jacket is because he left his shirt on the side of the bed when he was with Taylor. And again, say bring all your clothes. If you're gonna do it, do it right. But Deacon and all of these death-defying stunts just to have a moment alone with Taylor, was it worth it? Was it really worth it?
La (48:15)
Well, he did jump over a balcony.
Well,
remember they didn't even finish.
Chanelle (48:33)
she didn't even get the little death? Then definitely- the-
La (48:35)
She didn't get it. She didn't
even get to complete the moment. And then Sheila finds another clue, which is ridiculous. his little ankle boots, and brought them in the house. Again, you were there before Sheila, put everything away. He leaves the shoes next to the door with sand on them. Now, if I'm not mistaken, I thought that their restaurant is in...
Chanelle (48:48)
.
La (49:03)
Beverly Hills, like there are beaches everywhere, Malibu, all that stuff. Are you telling me that he couldn't have just walked somewhere? And I can't believe that on leather, the sand stayed on. Like when
he came on the steps to their apartment, it should have shook off, but it didn't. And there was sand in the shoe. And that's all she needs. She's like, obviously he's cheating on me. I'm like, really? Those clues didn't match to me.
Chanelle (49:28)
Should have went to Malibu. Should have looked.
Look, I guess at this point she's like, anybody could see that he's cheating. And it's one of those things because even trying to confront them, like she asked people at work.
And then the fact that he was like, you know, you're a great manager. I knew you had, and she's like, I'm more than a manager. I'm your wife. And he was like, yeah, that too. That's, that's good job. And as you know, how I feel, I thought that it was just Charlie who was a little incompetent when it came to security. No, the security guard at the hospital. Apparently after
La (49:53)
That's true, that's true.
Not at all.
Chanelle (50:12)
and all of her infinite wisdom, you had Taylor finally tell Steffy what went down, thinking that, you know, let me be honest, Steffy has already warned her mother, if you continue this, I will basically disown you because Sheila is crazy and why provoke a crazy person? Well.
La (50:32)
She is proving she's crazy
because she busted into your bedroom with a knife.
Chanelle (50:36)
And then it's like, she was like, well, you know, it was just one of those things. I forgot to lock the door. No, the fact that Sheila even came over to Steffy's house, unfortunately, that was part of Li's doing because Li told Sheila that Steffy and Finn and the kids were having like a camping trip so that Taylor was home alone. Li should not have divulged that information. But the fact that now we know that Sheila does make
random house call, didn't just leave the flowers at the door, couldn't just call and text you and wanted to surprise you. So now that we know this, Steffy's like, ⁓ snap, I feel like she might know that you are sneaking around with Deacon. And Taylor, supposedly being this world renowned psychiatrist, but I love him. Really girl? Really? Like that is your, the convict, the.
The other man that if you couldn't have Ridge, Brooke has had and had a child with, that's who you are, you know, stacking up all of your chips with.
La (51:43)
Now I will give you for a hot second some defense. The fact that Steffy has been shot by Sheila, been attacked by her granddaughter Luna, but she still is with Finn. If the world renowned psychiatrist had any sense, she'd be like, look.
you understand the power of love. The fact that you come home every night to Finn, knowing that he is the product of that crazy woman and you haven't left him, you should see that that's the same level in my mind that I have for Deacon. If she put that on the table, I could kind of respect her. wouldn't co-sign on it, but I would give her, okay, I can see it, but I'm still not co-signing. And the fact that you...
Chanelle (52:20)
Nope.
The fact that that is hard, yeah.
La (52:31)
are concerned for your safety. You've seen Sheila now in action with the knife and that was to help you. That wasn't to hurt you. She was trying to help you as she came in with a butcher knife. Why are you not packing? You should have pepper spray. You should have a baton. You should have something heavy because if that woman comes sneaking up on you again, which she does end up doing because the top flight security at this hospital
Chanelle (52:38)
Hahaha!
La (53:00)
Steffy takes it upon herself, which again, another crazy moment, because knowing how many times Sheila has busted in on Taylor during a supposed session, and even when she was just working, why do you not already have this woman on the watch list at the hospital? Hey, can you make sure that this woman has always had to check in before she comes to my office or ban her for whatever? Steffy does this instead. She's like, look, security.
We need an all points bulletin. Sheila Carter is not allowed on the premises. She is a danger. Please do something. Big Boy is like, I'm on it, the security guard. What he is, is definitively not on it because Sheila walks right in the security and is like, I need to see my friend, Dr. Hayes. And he's on the phone telling the rest of the security crew, hey, if this lady, Sheila Carter comes in, she's not allowed. We need to be on alert. I'm like, bruh.
You couldn't be less alert if you tried. And apparently the nurses station to change clothes you have to go through the security office to get in there. And why are the nurses at that hospital wearing the old school 1950s outfits? Sheila sneaks in, comes out in a white dress, white stockings, the nurse's shoes, and a hat and a mask.
Did she go back in time when she went in there?
Chanelle (54:30)
She could have just worn some scrubs, but it's like, okay, bold and beautiful. Okay, TLC.
La (54:32)
There were no scrubs. Now, Bold and the Beautiful went
to the attic of their costume place and it's like, this'll do. No one will have questions. Like, if I saw her walking in a hospital, I'd be like, this is an issue right here. What are you wearing?
Chanelle (54:51)
Well, we got through on Friday with her seeing Deacon and Taylor in an embrace with Deacon caressing her cheek and then slipping out. And so once he leaves.
Sheila, who again, I feel like she used to have the same amount of smoke for her husband as she does for Taylor, one of her best closest friends, to close the door and be like, oh, we here with your medicine. You're gonna answer some of these questions. And again, Taylor, you just did not seem prepared for this, but I feel like her reckoning is about to come.
La (55:31)
I'm sorry, I'm behind it. Go on and get her. Because you have left yourself wide open too many times. How much more dangerous does this woman have to be for you to not be ready? You should have been ready so you wouldn't have to get ready. I would have shot her on sight. Shot her on sight.
Chanelle (55:35)
in.
As we say, eight toes down, eight toes,
eight toes. Sheila cut off one of her own toes. And it's like, you don't think she's not gonna do by any means necessary what needs to be done to keep her man? I don't know why people don't listen to Sheila when she was like, if it wasn't for Deacon, I would have been the old me twice over by now. the fact-
that she even tells Deacon these types of things and he's just like uh-huh uh-huh I feel like she needs
La (56:18)
Deacon
still thinks he was like, I got away with it. Sheila has no idea.
Chanelle (56:21)
⁓
And that's why I also look at Hope and Deke sideways where it's like you keep cosigning on this foolishness with your daddy and Taylor making it seem like Steffy's just being mean and and a hater and blocking love. No, Sheila Carter is crazy and you've taken the one thing that has kind of been her lifeline to pretend to be somewhat sane. Get her, Sheila. Get her!
get her, her, because Taylor just doesn't seem to learn and I don't know what else is gonna do it at this point. Not my Taylor. I just don't think. Look, Hunter and Krista would never.
La (56:58)
That is not my Taylor. And you know what? We
even know that Taylor can shoot because she shot Bill. So woman, you can handle a gun. You should have been ready.
Chanelle (57:09)
No excuses. And then the other storyline, because we only really get two right now when it comes to Bold and the Beautiful. each week. ⁓ With the other one, this is Electra RJ. I didn't even see Will this week, didn't really miss him. ⁓ And then Ivy and just the whole gambit of people who are concerned about this relationship. We had Brooke and Ridge.
La (57:10)
No excuses.
That's all we get. That's all they can accommodate in 30 minutes.
Chanelle (57:39)
have to talk about their son. The fact that what's going on? And he's like, he's like, that's what's going on. We had Brooke start off with RJ and just being like, I'm so happy you're back, you're doing well. You know, what's been going on? And he has been singing from the rooftops of how much he just admires Electra. She deserves better because Will just isn't what's supposed to
La (57:41)
Ridge didn't even know that Will and Electra had broken up.
Chanelle (58:08)
be as a man and as a boyfriend and just how could he? To the fact that Brooke went down the family history of Bold and the Beautiful and was like, yeah, you know, both of you are named Forrester, but you know Ridge is a Moroni. I said, this is what you're doing to keep your son around is placating his need to be with a woman whose last name is also Forrester. And she's like, well, you know,
Yes, but no, because Ridge is not technically Eric's son. You could go for it. Mind you, Will is still your cousin. One way or the other, the way that RJ's like that Spencer. Okay, Spencer, yes he is, but Katie is still your aunt, which means that you all still share some sort of bloodline. Like what is the loyalty basically?
but this is all stems from RJ and Electra having a night together. It was a fun moment, if you will. Thanks to Pam's lemon squares. They got to eat those, have dinner alone set up because Ivy had to suspiciously leave, which she set that up. The swimming and all this other stuff to the point that finally Electra addresses Ivy and the fact that Ivy, after all was said and done, which included kisses.
posted a picture of them holding the lemon square and kind of smiling together. And apparently, even as young adults, Electra doesn't check her social medias until much later because she saw that was that picture posted online. And she's like, whoa, I didn't post that. A lot of people liked the picture, but how did this happen? Aunt Ivy did you to just...
Ivy was like, yep, sure did. It was me. It was cute. It was cute. Electra's whole thing was, well, Will follows me. What if he sees? Ivy's like, and? That's your ex-boyfriend. Again, Electra did not have any type of smoke and she's just like, well, I feel bad. And again, Ivy's like, I don't know why. Isn't Dylan still living with him? Didn't you already tell him you're non-negotiables?
La (59:54)
She had no qualms. She was like, sure did.
And
Chanelle (1:00:21)
RJ is an incredible young man. I say you go for him. Forrester name be damned. Like so now you have Electra kind of being like he does make me feel special I still don't understand what happened with me and Will. ⁓ well. Apparently Electra's thing when it comes to RJ is she loves hearing him speak Brazilian Portuguese. Like.
That whole app on the phone and any kind of vose mais, you know, linda and everything. She just, ⁓ she folds. And so they kiss. Again, at work, I feel like Forrester Creations HR department must be busy around the clock. It's one of those things. They don't lock doors and the amount of couples who hook up and kiss and everything else.
Again, you know how we feel about open doors because walking by is Brooke and she sees them kissing and then Ridge sees them too and it's like pulling Brooke away from the door like, let the boy enjoy his time basically. And it's like, whatever else is going on. And Brooke, feel like will eventually team up with Ivy in some way, shape or form because she's just happy to have her baby back.
So if that means getting Electra who she apparently does like, she's gonna do it.
La (1:01:51)
Alright, now we go to Genoa City where Spider is back in full throttle. Adam's alter ego, who is a poker player, is coming in hot, doing damage to anybody trying to play poker and that makes Riza
Riza it makes Riza very happy and it confirms what she already knew that he still got it. Now she's also with Matt Clark, but she apparently has a wanting for Adam still. So she'd be making out with Matt, she'd be making out with Adam, And they both want to meet each other. Yeah, they both want to meet each other because Matt is like, I definitely want a good guy who can make me some money at the poker table. And...
Chanelle (1:02:24)
Such a hard role.
La (1:02:35)
Riza says she doesn't want to make a move until it's approved by her partner, which is Matt. So I presume this week we're going to have the encounter because of course Matt knows who Adam is because he saw him when Victor brought him to the house all handcuffed and they all ridiculed Matt. So I don't know what that's going to be, but Adam is on his own because Nick Newman is strung out. It's official. He is no good.
He was trying to talk to Chelsea and Sharon because they were like, we haven't had an update in hours what's going on in Vegas. And he's like slurring his words and barely making sense. And he literally fell asleep on the phone. All of a sudden, Chelsea hears.
I was like, this man done passed out. Adam comes back after doing so well at the tables with Riza, Nick is unconscious on the sofa and he finally wakes up and Adam and everybody else who ever sees Nick is like, are you okay? He's like, I'm fine, I'm fine. He's like, I just need some water. Well, what he actually got was a little powder.
that was given to him when he had his drug dealer come and bring him some pills. He gave him a little bonus and Nick took that and all of a sudden became an extreme fighter. He's like, we gotta get Matt now. And you're like, you splashed water on your face and came out ⁓ WWE wrestler. What is happening?
Chanelle (1:04:15)
She's like, we're gonna get him ready to take on Matt and the world. I was like, he is drugged as much as he can be. And I'm like, with all this been avoided, if he had just gone back to at least one physical therapy session at the hospital, just one. Like we went from zero to 100 real quick and everybody keeps asking him, is he okay? And the fact that...
La (1:04:29)
You
Chanelle (1:04:40)
Spider's supposed to be this person who's like, can tell the signs and the tics that people have and the tails. You couldn't tell that that man was drugged up? Did you not look at his pupils?
La (1:04:48)
That's what I was thinking. I
was like, I thought you were so good at reading people. You can't, did you go blind when you see me?
Chanelle (1:04:53)
him if he okay
like yeah stop asking and I just need you to evaluate this man like
La (1:04:59)
Why
don't you follow him afterwards and see what's going on?
Chanelle (1:05:03)
this point as your brother, I'm like, I need you to pee in a cup. Like, this is just beyond ridiculous.
La (1:05:07)
Basically, when he brought out the little
powder bag, I literally thought Adam was going to like knock on the door or something and maybe he would drop it because honestly, I mean, the pills are bad enough. But once you start doing the powder, you in deep like he gonna be in rehab by the end of this show. But
Chanelle (1:05:23)
Well, it's also
just the fact it's like you found a drug dealer in Sin City. Like, did you have people on standby? Like, how did you go down this rabbit hole? Was that what you were doing in LA? And then from your drug dealer, you kept asking about Matt Clark. People like, uh, he's a, I need something a little stronger. And your drug dealer brings his drug dealer friend. And it's like, why do they look like they are like frat bros in Sin City with pop collars and all? Like, what the heck is going on here?
La (1:05:32)
I think so.
Chanelle (1:05:52)
Like Nick, this is what we're doing? This is what we're doing.
La (1:05:55)
This is exactly what we're doing. And we also have Lily being fussed out for her stunt by her brother, her cousin, and Phyllis. Phyllis is like, I knew nothing wrong with you. I knew you were lying. I knew it.
Lilly is like, I did it for the right reasons. I was like, there's no right reasons. You didn't need Chancellor. You did this to get back at Cane and to get back at Victor for not giving you Chancellor. Lily and Billy are terrible at trying to own that business because...
Both of you did not get what you needed in writing before you did your acts. Billy should not have, I don't care what, let's go to the lawyer's office so we can get this paperwork. They can't email you right now. I gotta wait until after, there had to be a way to get Chancellor before he went to rescue Jack. Then you have Lily waiting until after you destroy Cane.
and then come back, okay, let's sign the paperwork. And Victor's like, nah, I'm gonna need Chancellor to get my company back. So she's ass out again. Like it's insane, but I do want Phyllis to fall. I want Phyllis to fall because you know I hate Phyllis. And when she does, I want them to burn her portrait that she used to replace Victor and Victoria. Both of them have had those pictures, but I want them to burn her picture in front of her. Because she's already...
Chanelle (1:07:19)
I yeah.
La (1:07:20)
Yeah, let's burn that picture. But she pretty much has nothing to lose because she gets a note from Summer via Victoria who went to Milan to be like, come talk to your mama. And Summer's like, I can't stand her, I'm not dealing with that. But I will write her a very strongly worded letter. And she did, and it broke her heart. And to the point where she was like, Daniel.
She calls him and they meet up at society. She's like, did you see what your sister had the audacity to write me? He was like, she just beat me to it. You are unapologetically horrible. And what you did was wrong. We've told you and told you, you don't want to listen. So you have no children anymore. She's like, seriously? You going to abandon me too? He was like, I can't get off of this stool quick enough. I'm out. So now she has no kids, which probably makes her more dangerous.
Chanelle (1:08:07)
Look, to the point, nobody.
And Daniel, he's just a special case. The fact that, okay, he doesn't have his mother as his priority any longer, but apparently he's siding up with Danny, his father, and this family road show tour that's about to take place, don't understand where this storyline really comes into play.
Aside from getting him and Tessa a little bit more alone time. The fact that Tessa supposedly went back to Mariah, but then we ended with Mariah going off to get help, but not letting Tessa come along. Crazy. ⁓ Now we have them back in just guitar practices, almost like nothing really happened. And Danny sees them, recommends that they sound good together. And it's like, create an album. I'll back it. Better yet.
Come to Barcelona with me, both of you. Let's create some great music together. Daniel agrees, surprisingly. I'll say Tessa, you know, for someone who's been a single mother with Aria for quite some time in these last few months, she was like, yes. All right, let's go. Let us go. Music, I'm here. Daniel was like, you know what? Sure. You know, we could find some friends to take care of our kids or find a nanny.
Let's do it. Again, randomness, not connected to really any other storyline except for the fact that he's like, doesn't have to deal with his mom for a couple of days. But here we are. I just feel like with Phyllis, she's moping around, has a lot of smoke for Lily and the fact that she can even get somewhat of an upper hand on Lily from this, it's like, that's when you know Lily's doing wrong, where it's like, mm, you could have done better. It's like, know, Cane really loved you.
Man would have done anything for you. Teamed up with Victor. What'd you get out of it? Nothing. Must've been something big. Hopefully. well. Phyllis also even checks in with Sharon. Realizes that this is apparently around the time of the anniversary where they were finally freed from getting kidnapped by Martin. Nobody's really checked in on Tracy with this anniversary, but it's like, okay. That's what, I mean, that's what Phyllis is doing. Cause I was just like, we just doing a whole rundown of like, nobody loves Phyllis.
Phyllis has no friends. She was like, Sharon, you really don't even care? Cause you didn't check on me. Sharon was like, I've been kind of busy. Matt Clark has been free. know, Noah's been out, my bad. Been trying to live my life. Kind of tried to forget about it. Just sent Mariah away. I was the one who drove her, my bad. The fact that, you know, we don't really know what else is going to go on with this takeover. You can't even really tell me what.
La (1:10:42)
I got a lot of balls in the air right now.
Chanelle (1:10:59)
part of Newman Enterprises that now that Summer's conglomerate is really doing, I question, but then I don't, because I'm just like, I have to suspend my disbelief Victor Newman will always be Victor Newman at this point. He was real shady towards like Nikki, because when Victoria came in and was like, dad, mom told me you kicked her out.
She brought me, told me to, you know, get some more of her stuff. And he was like, you're lucky I didn't throw it on the front lawn. Damn Victor, like we really like the love of your life, your sun, and stars. Like that's how you're going to treat this. And he was like, look, she chose Jack. She made her decision. I'm trying to get my company and my legacy back. Forget her basically. to the point that even Claire,
Something about Victoria and Claire when it comes to Victor, it's like not my father or he does what he has to do. My grandfather would never like, and it's like sure would, sure did, will continue to do. If he did it before, he would do it again.
La (1:12:00)
He's done it so many times.
Their obligatory blindness is stunning to me. Like the way Kyle tried over and over to be like Victoria, you have to see how wrong it is that your father kidnapped my father, demanded Billy give up chancellor, which he didn't even have, and put him with a woman who tried to kill him, tried to kill my mother.
and drugged them. You know with a mother who is an alcoholic that them having their sobriety is priority and your father risks you don't have any proof that my dad drugged him. Jack had a choice. I'm like wait till it comes out that Nicholas Newman, your only true brother, is a opioid addict. If I were Kyle I'd be like Nick had a choice. He could have gone to a medical professional.
but he chose otherwise. So the fact that he's about to die, probably from an overdose, and you and your family ignored the signs because you had to get your conglomerate back makes you a terrible person too. You are truly Victor Newman's daughter.
Chanelle (1:13:17)
He was like, he was like, you're supposed
to be helping us. You said that you would counteract what your dad did. Victoria really was kind of like, you know, thoughts and prayers basically She was like, I was in Milan. He's like, but you heard, she was like, yeah, I've heard a little bit of this, a little bit of that, you know, like again.
La (1:13:34)
and then
she threw the hammer with Diane. Diane was like, you're a horrible person. She was like, maybe because your marriage has imploded, you should look at home. And I'm out. I was like, wow!
Chanelle (1:13:48)
Victoria has bigger fish to fry. ⁓ She really does. And then it's like just everything else going on around Genoa City. Again, AI. And
La (1:13:49)
She was like, I got some companies to get.
Chanelle (1:14:00)
Nikki,
made a good point. if we had not dealt with Aristotle Dumas, if we weren't stuck in Nice and let all that go down, if we didn't.
except Cane coming back to Genoa City with this AI program. Where would we be today? You know, like this time last year, a lot was going on, but now what could we have said about Cane? And now that I think about it, this has truly been like almost nearly a year of Cane taking L's left and right. And I don't know what he has to show for it, but what has me excited is what brings
Shemar Moore back to town with Vivica A. Fox because I'm like, if we don't have nothing, Malcolm is going Malcolm. And right now we know that Cane, guess his last ace up his sleeve is telling Holden that he wants him to take out Victor Newman. I don't know what that means or how that is going to go down, but Holden said he's up for the challenge.
La (1:14:59)
Which I find fascinating because every assignment that Cane has given him, he has not done well. it came out eventually that you were not Damon. Damon was really Damon. You were supposed to find Lilly and the kids, you didn't. And now obviously you're more than qualified to take out Victor for Cane. What world are we in? Am I watching the same show?
Cause I don't see these skills from Holden, but again, Shemar's coming back and Vivica A, so I'm here for it. Let's do that. Let's do that. Distract me with that.
Chanelle (1:15:36)
Yes, please and thank you.
La (1:15:38)
