Hey, hey, it's May. Let's start the month out with a new episode of Lather Up with La and Chanelle . All right, we got a little bit of news. We just want to do some thoughts and prayers for actress Kirsten Storm, better known as Maxie from General Hospital. She's having some personal issues in her life right now. We don't want to get into it because we don't really know it. But you can find it online. think TMZ was reporting it. Let's just hope she gets herself together so she can get back to Port Charles.

and no real Nielsen knowledge, but we do have a bone to pick. Ain't nobody got time for no soccer interrupting our Beyond the Gates. Yeah, like why we love futbol. The fact of the matter is CBS didn't warn me. Started off strong with Monday's new episode of Beyond the Gates and then missed two days back to back of new episodes. I need to prepare myself. All right, but we're gonna start this week with Young and the Restless. And again, it seems to be a theme with us.

Not because it was so amazing, but because there are more questions than answers. So we had Narcotic Nick got a bad batch of fentanyl and he was no good to nobody. You got Sharon and Noah stuck in that abandoned gas station along with Adam. Matt has set everything up and lo and behold, he got a bomb set up there. So he blows it up.

They were taking forever to get Nick. Apparently he weighed a ton or Noah and Adam needs to work out one of the two. And they and Sharon were trying to drag him out. And all of a sudden after Sienna was trying to convince him to let everybody go and just be with her, the bomb goes off. And so that was not a problem because they all got away. They took Nicholas to the hospital to get him off the bad fentanyl. But now it is official he is.

an addicted individual. Look, and all batches of fentanyl are probably bad, but the fact of the matter is Adam. Adam was the one who was like, you know what? You don't look good, but I need you to do what you need to do to get yourself together. Go on and take it. Sir, we've been through this. You saw the sweats. You saw the jittery behavior. That was not the best course of action. And through it all, yes, we survived this explosion.

But why was it all taken just by needing Chelsea to call Victor and whatever elite squad he has on standby was able to get their ASAP. We could have saved so much time in Vegas if we had called Victor when we first met up with Riza. I was so confused. I was very angry too. The fact that it took that long for Chelsea to even be like, I know who can save us. I knew who could save us when you was on his jet. Jesus.

point Victor Newman is above and beyond omnipresent, like this is omnipotent. Like he apparently knows all does all and is the most powerful thing in not only Genoa City but in Vegas too. And that is why Nicholas had head in hand, very upset having to tell his father. And he was like, my boy, what are you doing with these drugs? Matt, put it in your drink, right? Wellllll

I was in pain, dad. I was in pain, dad. I was like, say pain one more time. I was like, there's not that much pain in the world. If you had gone back to a doctor or gotten some physical therapy, maybe you wouldn't have been so much pain. So we have established that Nicholas is going to be on the outpatient rehab trail. very distinctive trail that leads back to Phyllis, Billy and Cane. And Nicholas was like, you telling me that they emailed each other and you were able to find it and it all neatly ties into them illegally taking our company? That don't sound right. was like, fentanyl ain't fogged up his brain that bad. And Victor was like, maybe it's real, maybe it's not. He was like, what are we doing?

Wing and a prayer, I tell you, and the fact that, again, this is what his AI guy was able to do. I thought we were basically gonna be getting battling artificial intelligence, and so far it has been a string of forged documents and just low totem pole ringing of board directors willing to lie under oath. I'm so confused, and still the fact of the matter is it's only been these companies. Like, it's such an insular...

type of program where artificial intelligence is supposed to be learning. If we just already gotten Newman Enterprises, why not take over the world? Why not take over more businesses in Genoa City? Like, everyone living day to day in GC probably has not been impacted unless you worked at Newman Enterprises and you quit on what, principal? Nobody else is affected. not even Jabot

business genius, but if you don't have a dime, that means that you should not still be the owner of the athletic club, which is bringing in money because everybody and their mother stays there. Diane, Nikki, Stephanie, Phyllis, you have a plethora of money. at this point, even,

⁓ Patty! Look, even Patty's staying there So you have consistent customers, which means consistent cash flow. Fire your accountant. That fool missed a whole big entity of money. Look, he's house poor at this point. And you have the train. More than one train. One of the continents that you had visited in quite some time. I mean, if you're going to stay on the train in Wisconsin, all the other ones can go. All the other ones can go and you would probably be flooded with cash.

but that's on you, dog. That's the life you've chosen. Then we have Patty, who is not leaving. that's not gonna end well. You can just see it. And this fact that Patty has been antagonizing Kyle. Yes. This is, it's heating up, it's at a slow simmer. I wanna see where this goes because once Kyle calls her crazy, she's like, don't like that word. Nope. And I feel like when you are technically crazy, whether it's Phyllis, whether it's, look, sometime Sharon, whether it's Sheila, hell, whether it's Leslie.

when you call the spade a spade. They don't take it well. They do not. No. Then we also have baby and marriage news. So Sally and Billy have acclimated themselves. So they gonna have a child together despite both of them losing children. And they're gonna make this work. And to put the icing on the cake, Billy proposes to her. And she contemplates and she even talks to Audra and Audra likes that you engage where you'll ring. Y'all set a date? What we doing?

And she was like, you're right. She had a moment of self doubt like the last time and she even brought up Wyatt. Bold and the Beautiful! She was like, when Wyatt proposed to me, he never gave me a ring. I'm never the one that gets the ring. She was like, get the ring. If he showed you a ring, get the ring. And Billy comes and Audra's like, gotta go bye. He was like, she hates me. She was like, she thinks you hate her. Y'all need to get together. But that's neither here nor there. I'ma marry you. And so he puts the ring on her finger.

He told Jack before he told his own children. I'm like, stay focused, man. But Jack was like, that's great. He was like, I'm sorry. I know your marriage and your life has fallen apart. He was like, no, no, no. You deserve to be happy. Read the room. It's one of those things. Again, you still don't know what your job's gonna be. You still have a rain check on visiting your mother. We've walked it around. Good. He chose this route. He got to pay the price. I was like, dang lady. And I just want to put it out there and I know it doesn't make sense, but I feel like the constant bickering between Kyle and Victoria could mean passion later on. Just be concerned because every time they see each other, they go off. And you know, as a soap opera watcher that

Fight, fight, fight, fight, fight can turn into passion. So. Look, Kyle might be moving from the daughter to the mother. Don't rule it out. It's like, Nate, I need you to get on this ASAP. Because at this point, we can't even trust fingers or toes being the Nope, that's not enough. No. Not enough.

I, yeah, and I'm like, Sienna, what was your point of even coming on this journey if you really didn't help with saving them and if your information is dead? anything, I feel like you pissed him off more. Pretty much. But it was just crazy to me. I'm like, you got in his car, no weapons, no pepper spray. You were just going to talk to him and make him see that you could get me back. Do you really think he wanted Noah sloppy seconds? Noah

took you from him and now you're coming back. But you even told me you came because you were worried about Noah. I am just a, you know, token prize. Like, I don't want you. It's like, Sienna, you could at least had a taser. I just. Something! You know, a pocket knife, just something. Because when she had all that blood, I thought maybe she stabbed him. As much blood as she had he didn't have that much blood on his head.

And now he's back up and running. And I must say, I'm very excited. was scared Roger Howarth was going to be gotten rid of, but now he's still wreaking havoc, let's do this. Not you rooting for Matt Clark, Lord. I'm sorry, but I love Roger. And again, if you gonna kill him, like you said, bring me his head. Even then, I might have to stab that too, just to make sure that I can't trust this man not coming back. So I'm kind of excited to see what he does now.

Especially since they're all like, he's dead, he gonna, he gonna cause a problem. He gonna cause a problem. It's gonna be good. All right, so now let's go to Beyond the Gates where it was all about reminiscing. It's been an actual year since the anniversary party that destroyed the relationship of Nicole and Ted and.

You know, Nicole is just reminiscing and Ted is reminiscing and Kat and Martin are worried because they're like, we got to check on mom and dad. This is a hard day. But when it came down to it, they both acknowledged that they've grown in a year and things have changed, but some things have stayed the same. They still have respect for each other. They still have love for their kids. And who knows, as Ted said, what's going to happen in the next year.

I sometimes root for them. While I enjoy the reminiscing and again, being cordial with each other, I just look at some of Ted's actions, especially now in his relationship with Shanice when it comes to Dana. And I'm like, have you really learned in this year's time what you need to do?

It makes me worried. It gives pause when you look at where he could be, where he has been, and what the future holds. You do have to question, have you not learned that giving Leslie not even an inch, a centimeter, can be detrimental to you? She had already had a run in with Chelsea who told her, I don't appreciate what you did by trying to take all of our...

wedding venues, the caterer, all that stuff. Even the band. Yeah, don't appreciate it. ⁓ And of course, Leslie's like, well, I gave it all back. She's like, that's not the point. You tried to ruin what we're planning for as our special day for something that isn't even real. Your daughter has made it abundantly clear that she is not getting married anytime soon. And you suck. And all you do is think about Duprees. Why can't you be thankful that my grandmother gave you the lottery per se?

and you have a crap ton of money, you don't have to stay here. And she had the audacity, Leslie, to be like, my world don't revolve around the Duprees. I'm sorry, what? Have you seen yourself? That's all you care about. Making life horrible for the Duprees. And then she goes to the hospital. Anita was there and talking to Shanice and I think she just did a checkup or something. I don't think she had her last chemo thing yet, but she's going to.

She said she is now, up and she's going to have one more chemo treatment and then she's good. But she's talking to Shanice and Leslie gets off the elevator and interrupts abruptly to the point where Anita was like, what is your problem? You saw us talking. She's like, I don't need another holier thou Dupree coming at me. I already had one. And Ted witnesses this, takes her in his office and is like, talk to me. What's up? And she has a moment

you feel the tiniest bit sorry, like I didn't get a chance to ever meet or have a relationship with my mother and that was unfair. But again, the reason why you don't is because your mother killed herself and never wanted you. You don't know that. She knows that her mom didn't want her because Peaches told her, but she don't know about the suicide. So, sorry. It is what it is.

And then Shanice, unfortunately, didn't knock. But of course she's in a relationship with Ted, so I guess she doesn't feel she has to knock. But it was his office, so you don't know who's in there. Gotta be a patient. But she walks in, and Leslie, after being shown a kindness by Ted, stupidly on his part, she's like, he can't keep his hands off me. I'm like, you can't be nice to this woman. You cannot be nice. Look, at least keep your door open if you are gonna talk to Right, so people can witness whatever she doing.

And it's like, just look, throwing the towel when it comes to trying to figure it, like he just straddles the fence. And it's like, as much as I was open to the idea of him and Shanese, now I have to question that too. I just want him, ever since we had New Ted, who has now been here nearly a full year, I need him to be written stronger. Like, I just don't see Maurice giving me this kind of

Ted's not weak, but he's very questionable. I don't even need him to be stronger. I just need him to be smarter. Yes! Like even to admit to things to Nicole, he admitted that since the beginning, we now know that Carlton wanted Nicole and Ted kind of played interference. It's like, even then, I wanted you, like something to move the needle a little bit more. And then I'm like, sir, all these missed opportunities, the fact that when we come time for the cotillion, Smitty's gonna have him sitting at the same table as Nicole. And he's not sure if Shanice should go. That part, I'm like, these are things where it's like, well, which one are you gonna choose? The fact that you think you have a choice in the matter. And if you really want Nicole back, fight for her. You have been looking...

on the sidelines helping Carlson of all people. And it's like, what are you doing, Ted? What are you doing? And the fact that you can't pinpoint your feelings for Shanice. One minute you're giving attention to Leslie, next minute you're giving attention to Nicole. And I feel like Shanice has to be like, don't forget me. And even the previews for this week, she goes, our bed is too crowded. And then I don't know who I'm sleeping with or

if the person I'm with really truly wants me. And that's been her biggest argument. I don't want to have to question if I'm with somebody who is only focused on me. And I feel like that's all she does. Yeah. You upsetting me and my home girl. I don't appreciate it, Ted. All right. I hate to say it, but I might be on team Tomas because he's making moves. So him and Bill have decided that they're going to now research.

the people that fell victim to Lynette. I'm kind of excited. I wanna see where that trail leads them. Is there a body? Did Randy really come through and take this woman out? We both know that's not true. She living somewhere. She's alive and well. He might've like put her on a bus, but he ain't kill nobody. He ain't got it in him to kill. But I wanna know what they find out.

but we did see Kat sees some of the people that were impacted by Lynette who were taken. And she was like, I know this woman. I'm like, how, how do you know her? I'm wondering if it's when she was Ted's administrative assistant, or is it something to do with Chelsea Kat? That could be something. I mean, even with this, I feel like we're setting up

for something big to go down. And not only Kat knowing the woman, the fact that she's interacted with Lynette, now we have even Dani. Even when Dani is just kind of negging everything going on, he was like, Lynette, actually I met her with Hayley before all of that robbery mess went down. And like you're seeing the way that Bill is kind of like, he's still blinded by Hayley, which means she was doing her job well.

for a while. I need him to like start to really like piece together everything else. Cause you even had Tomas being like, I told her. Tomas you didn't even have to say that because she could have learned from Vanessa. You went through Vanessa and Vanessa was like, yeah, it was a little shady, but I was willing to take her money. And at that point, it's also gonna be Jacob with an I told you so, because again, I don't trust this whole undercover investigation, but he did have a point.

The fact that Grayson just could not give up his love life for Ashley when it comes to this seedy work, she has a target on her back. And the fact that she doesn't know why Lia is so hell bent on making work life difficult, he needs to at least bring her in somewhere. Like maybe give her a couple dollars or something. Because at this point, it's like, this woman packed you up. She stole drugs from you.

when they check the all the medical supply, some things will be missing. Like what are you going to inventory and they're going to realize pills are gone. Yeah. So if she's getting deeper and deeper, either that or you're to have to like, I don't know. No ring is necessary just yet because she's not ready for it, but you can't keep moving like you've been moving. And I feel like we're getting more and more seeds planted with

The fact that Leslie came at Lia and is like, we need to have a bigger partnership with the clinic. Of course, she's just doing this to prove how magnanimous she is with helping the community. I promise you, as we progress, Lia's gonna panic and she's gonna need to put the heat on somebody else. And Leslie is going to be a prime Patsy. You can say the plasma stuff has all been happening in her clinic. That's why she opened it.

I would not put that past Lia. And as a chief of staff, she's been here this long. And I'm like, the way that she's been running it, until Jacob and Smitty kind of tag-teamed this investigation, has been almost flawless. I just want to see how this progresses. And through all of this plasma stuff, poor Dr. Montgomery. Madison?

I'm worried because even with this plasma ring, she's now been placed on sabbatical because of her mother and this terrible lawsuit from this woman she's never even met. She's so upset. Now you're making her stay away from her patients. She still has the Parkinson's project, but she lives to serve her patients. And now you're telling her that until this lawsuit is rectified or dropped, she can't practice practice.

That's bad. And does that mean that she'll be seen maybe more frequently at the clinic? Maybe she'll see stuff that's not right. that would be good. I like that. I'll be thinking. ⁓ you'll be thinking. want more. OK, we also have Samantha. She is the biggest snitch.

So we have Jessica and brother dear Tyrell was on one having a moment because he overhears that she is been doing her internship on crisis management and she saw that UCLA has a great program for such and he's like, but I'm going to Banneker. If you go to LA, men are gonna come for you because you're the total package. She's like, I don't care.

I'm with you. He was like, I'm with you. And so they sent Samantha away to, you know, like, go get a tea or something. She goes, they go upstairs. Things started to get a little hot and heavy and they were under the impression that the parentals were not coming home until later that afternoon, but that wasn't the case because Smitty comes home. I'm home y'all. They got to get dressed, get themselves back on track and come downstairs.

And Samantha comes at the same time with her tea and is like, ⁓ I know where y'all was. You was upstairs. Dad, get him. I had a guy over and you grounded me for life. He needs to be grounded. And she argues this. And then crisis management Jessica argues with her. And it turns out that when Martin comes home, they get a tongue lashing from both Samantha and Jessica about being.

Hippocrates? Misogynistic, all that foolishness. Damn the patriarchy. Yes. And so it comes out that Tyrell gets punished. And Jessica's like, well, that's not what I want. He was like, I'll take the punishment so I can stay away from you two. I was like, that's what I'm talking about, because they both. Samantha, you on my list. If I were him, I'd be like, you going to mess up a gig, that's what you do. You going to need me.

I'm sorry. They shouldn't have been upstairs, yes. But for you to push for me to be punished just to make yourself feel better, what kind of sibling are you? And it's one of those things where even with the whole Nathan situation, girl, a condom fell out. Like you were in the act nearly happening. Don't do this. Like they're in a relationship, everything else.

Shouldn't you be trying to do that at all in your house? No, but it's like the upstairs rule. Only so much can happen when you're leaving your teenagers home alone. If they really wanted to do it, they could have done it. Why are you throwing your homegirl and your brother under the bus? Again, Tyrell, keep this in the back of your mind. and the back and forth where Hayley, this used to be one of your closest friends who stole your mama's man, which is your daddy, and now it's like, I know you didn't have the pregnancy test, I know about the fake pregnancy, I'm watching you, and she has been actually watching. She is doing what Bill needs to be doing. And look, and the way he's been staring because of the family moment at Orphey Gene's and having Andre and the girls and the laughing

and the joy. And when Naomi said, I told mom, like, you miss Chelsea so much, have another baby. I'm sorry, what'd you say? the look on his face. Mm-mm. And she was like, you telling me mom can't have another baby? Because you trying. He was like, no, we stop. We got rid of that plan. So, I mean, I want your mom to be happy, but I'm like, you don't want her happy. You want her happy with you again. You ain't fooling nobody. Also, gotta give props to Mr. Vernon setting down the hammer with Joey. Stay away from my grandson.

I know you helped us in that moment with the racist people and my grandson killed somebody, but he can't do nothing for you. I'm the one with the power. I'm the one with the clout. to so many people and you think that it's not gonna get back to them? Her focus is Nathan. Nathan and his father, Faison. She questioned him directly about his father when they were workout buddies. She questioned Liesl, his mama, about Faison and her son. She questioned Nina, like she's all over the place with this.

it comes back to haunt her by the end of the week.
