La (00:05)
Thank you for joining us for another episode of Lather Up with La. All right, a little bit of news for you. Apparently, Bell Phillips Television Productions is going to come up with a reality show called Bold and the Unscripted. Apparently, that's a working title. And it is a reality TV-based competition.

Chanelle  (00:09)
And Chanelle

La (00:32)
that will have contestants competing to win a recurring role on Bold and the Beautiful. Apparently the person who is the head of production for The Secret Live of the Mormon Wives, Jeff Jenkins, is a part of this project. So

I don't know if I would watch that. I think we have enough characters as it is and the characters we have are all, you know, really luring me in. But Chanelle, what do you think they really should be doing a competition for?

Chanelle  (01:09)
Honestly, instead of the bold and unscripted for a recurring role for a person, I don't know who's gonna be what, I feel like they should have done a reality show for finding a soaps writer. Someone who you could have challenges, like fill out the family tree. Do you know the history of the Forresters? Do you know who's connected through who and who's a cousin of whom? And all those types of things.

To have just a random character who you have to connect for me to care about, I I I I might watch if it comes to fruition, but that would not be my main goal.

La (01:50)
Yes, it would be much more entertaining to see people come up with soap opera events. Like, my gosh, such and such kills such and such. Now How are you going to frame it to make the viewers on the edge of their seat to figure out who did it? Like, give me that. Yeah, give me a storyline. Let's do that. Bold and that I can write better. Where that?

Chanelle  (02:06)
Yeah, win a storyline. Win a storyline.

La (02:15)
Alright, so this week we're gonna go start in the DMV with Beyond the Gates, and as predicted, we had to say goodbye to Derek formally. Unfortunately, his father did come to the area to pick up his son's body, but it has not been released yet because of the investigation. But that did not stop him from visiting

Ashley dropping off some trinkets, Derek's Medal of Honor, as well as a little token, that was given to him by his fellow firefighters when he saved that cat from the burning building. But when he tried to get his son's body so he could take it home, wherever that is, I can't remember.

he sees Jacob and Jacob like, you know, Mr. Baldwin, I'm so sorry for your loss. And Mr. Baldwin no hesitation is like, You killed my son. My son is dead because of you. I pretty much hate you. And the least you can do is make sure that they are able to give me my son's body so I can lay him to rest properly. He did everything but call him out his name and tell him I hope you die next.

Chanelle  (03:29)
He really was. His dad did not have any whalms of being like, he's a hero. Yes, my son is a hero. But even from the beginning, he said, why was Derek the one watching Jacob 6? I said that same thing last week. I I I think it's how they're trying to make this develop it because yes, I feel bad for Jacob.

La (03:30)
It was awful.

Sure it is.

Chanelle  (03:54)
But we said from the beginning, this has been a botched undercover operation, and for everyone to be patting Jacob on the back, even if Derek didn't die. Your work was sloppy, my guy.

La (04:08)
The work of him and the department because you all managed to identify that Randy shouldn't have been in the area. How did Derek sneak through? He said that one of the cops he saw walked further away from his post, he was able to sneak in. How did that happen? And why wasn't one of the undercover cops ready when another henchman was gonna shoot Jacob?

Instead, Derek had to jump in between. So it makes you look at the police department side-eyed. And if for some reason Mr. Baldwin, Sr., wants to sue the police department for allowing a civilian to unknowingly end up during an undercover sting operation and gets killed, it's not out of the realm of possibility that he would most likely win because what was y'all doing?

Chanelle  (04:58)
That just showed the level of underpreparedness that was happening for this whole sting investigation. The only one who seemed to be about that life, surprisingly, was Smitty. After he calmed down a little bit, he was able not only have his writing on standby for the investigation. He's the one who had the initial tip. And he was able to still participate

in the cotillion events and wasn't really named in the outbreak of what went down until he wrote the story.

La (05:33)
But you have to be disgusted by the press conference that was given by the police department and Garland. Now, as Chanelle pointed out, you should have had a representative from the clinic, since that's where Derek was working at the time, and pretty much was protecting from Grayson when he saw that Grayson was stealing plasma from the clinic. But the fact that Leslie, after seeing

Ted and Shanice at the club was fussed out by Ted. He was like, I'm sick of you and I'm sick of your mistreatment of Shanice. Back off. Then she gonna turn around. She's at the press conference, Bogards her way to the microphone, says all these insincere things about how great Derek was, and he was a cherished employee, even though the viewers know how much she hated him.

Then she falls into Ted's arms just inconsolable about losing Derek. And honestly, if Ted had any sense he should have pushed her. I don't care if we are on camera. Girl, you know We not that way.

Chanelle  (06:41)
It really was so contrived, but it was so Leslie that I let it slide because Shanice saw it and she was all happy and got hot under the collar because she finally had Ted sticking up for her. But in that same instance, Leslie's not gonna give up so easily. Be prepared for this.

La (07:05)
Absolutely not. And then Ted tells Nicole, Hey, buddy, we need to get ahead of all this bad publicity for Garland Hospital. And the best way to do that is to find a new leader because Lia is going to jail. So I nominated you. Okay, bye. And she's like, No, no, no, no. I have made it abundantly clear that I do not want any hand in the administrative

workings of this hospital. And he's like, but you'd be so good. Everybody loves you. You know the ins and out of the hospital. She's like, no, no. If anybody knows how much I don't want to do this, you should. And he's like, I'm not gonna give up. And then Dr. Kial comes and pays a visit. Ted leaves and Nicole explains to Kial how Ted is trying to push her into taking this position.

And he's like, honestly, I agree with Ted, you would be great. And she explains how helping her patients is so rewarding. And he was like, Well, you're right too. So if that's really what you find yourself loving

then go with it. but he also pointed out you realize why Ted is pushing for this. It's not just for the good of the hospital. He is on the board. If you are the chief of staff, you all will work closely together on a regular basis. And just before Ted was telling Bill how he hates being on the outside looking in now that they're divorced. and he even told Nicole he was like, I used to know so much about everything that was going on with all our family

But I realize now I only knew that because of you telling me. And now that we don't talk every day, I don't know half of what's going on. And Kial picked up on that quickly. And Nicole is like, ⁓ I see. So I think she's gonna talk to Ted this coming week about his intentions.

Chanelle  (09:00)
True, because she was still having dreams and then while they have slowed down, I think when it comes to her and Carlton, she reminisces about that. it's getting harder and harder to figure out who she might choose if she had to pick between Carlton and Kial, who has the better chance of being the next solo monogamous relationship?

La (09:24)
Well, I was kind of shocked that she told Kial about her dreams about Ted. I thought that was very intimate And then, he came over to her house, they were gonna hang out, but she was like, I have work that I really need to finish. And he's like, Well, I read a book.

On the plane that I can finish, and they sit on her couch. They both put on the little reading glasses. She snuggles up to him. They look like a couple to me.

Chanelle  (09:54)
They did. Sometimes it's not always going straight to the bedroom and it's finding someone who you can enjoy the moments that are in the quiet and stillness that mean the most.

La (10:07)
I like them together. I I just do. But we also need to talk about Miss Dani. Dani took Bill to task because she saw him at the club, and they were talking about Naomi. How's Naomi doing? How's Jacob doing? Now that he's back.

Dani was explaining thank you for taking over for the Madison case because Naomi needs to stick with her man. And then they start getting into lawyer, Michael, the guy that Bill had to fire because of sexual harassment claims. Yes.

Chanelle  (10:43)
His former partner.

La (10:45)
And Dani points out he was like that the whole time when I was married to you, and he's like, why didn't you say something? She's like, what was you gonna do? Nothing. He was your partner. You heard him joke all the time, you heard about the inappropriateness he was doing, and you never said a word. Well, if you had told me, she's like, you would have let it go like you have been doing, and you were too busy cheating on me. So

you're not a protector. You don't know how to protect people. That's why our daughter didn't want to work with you 'cause she had already heard how women were treated at your firm. And the look on Bill's face, you could just see his heart breaking hearing that not only did your wife feel that you were a sorry sack when it came to making her feel safe as a person, that your influence, even though she wanted to be like you as an attorney, she didn't want to work with you because

She didn't feel safe at your company. And he took it he took it pretty bad. And then she followed up with I feel safe now, aka Andre. She was like just throwing jabs.

Chanelle  (11:56)
Yep, look, protecting her short king. And I think it also goes back to figuring out a place where Bill and Dani and the grand scheme of soap operas, I could see them possibly getting back together if Hayley doesn't kill him first. they could possibly get back together. However, I I like that we get to see Bill have these internal struggles.

La (11:58)
Mm-hmm.

Of course.

Chanelle  (12:21)
Of not only talking to Ted and realizing what he's missing out on, the fact that we have seen him outside of just his marriage with connecting with Vernon and Miss Anita, how he feels about his daughters. Even when he goes to task when it comes to Kat, she frustrates him, but he appreciates her, but he'll kill Tomas if she gets hurt because of something that's part of what they're working on.

He's multifaceted and I wish a lot of the other characters were like that, i. e. Ashley.

La (12:57)
True. Ashley's just there. And I'm sorry, but if I had my Caruthers, she would have been the one to go. You ain't even got to kill her. Just put her in a coma because she puts me in a coma. I'm just not getting anything out of her. honestly, she didn't even come up with the memorial thing.

Chanelle  (12:59)
Actually upset me. Ugh.

La (13:17)
Shanice came up with it because once Shanice heard from Ashley that Derek's father wasn't having a funeral in DC, but at his own hometown, she was like, Well, we have to do something. I know Ashley was grieving, but why wouldn't you do that? And when they did that final dispatch with the bell and you heard the person's voice saying he'd done his last like run, I was heartbroken.

Chanelle  (13:46)
Agreed. And it also made me think when it comes to television production and the budgeting of what they had to deal with. I love a good firefighter story. Maybe they could have long form if they figured out maybe to make him an EMT or something. I know the cop section of it is Jacob, but with firefighters, we never got to see him at the

At the call. We never really got to see him rescuing the cat out the tree. We never got to see him when he was in the line of danger, which apparently we know that he liked to throw himself in those situations quite honestly, a lot of times. What they say, white water rafting or the water rescue, the cat rescue, running into the burning building. He was almost adrenaline junkie, you could say. Beyond that,

I feel like we just never got to see him outside of Ashley. And when we did, we enjoyed him, whether it was with Shanice, whether it was with the other firefighter, the female firefighters who wanted to date him, when it was the friends cracking jokes or helping him move out. We started to see beyond their relationship of what Derek could be. And to have him fighting verbally with Leslie and actually sometimes getting the upper hand was refreshing to lose it all now.

La (15:09)
Right. And we just don't have that momentum with Ashley. And even her with Grayson, hmm.

Chanelle  (15:19)
Look, I'm so mad that she's the one who had Derek's father setting his sights on Jacob because he was like, Well, you know, Derek died because he was protecting his best friend. Ashley, the fact that your mama knows about the investigation and Jacob being the one undercover, and now you're spilling information that might not be on record. We know it's not gonna be put to the public because Jacob was undercover.

La (15:48)
Right. And they weren't supposed to reveal that.

Chanelle  (15:48)
So why send it?

So even when she tries to help, she makes it worse.

La (15:56)
She does.

Chanelle  (15:58)
Setting me and my homegirl.

La (16:02)
Yeah, I don't know. Maybe now that he's gone we're gonna see something more,

Chanelle  (16:09)
At at this point, I'm I'm hopeful aside from just giving the memorial for Derek, we had Leslie and Hayley. I I don't know what kind of weird Thelma and Louise relationship they think they're building.

La (16:10)
I can be let's just be hopeful.

I'm confused

by that. It feels like they keep trying to push those two together, even though Leslie has her number like nobody's business. She's like, I know you just trying to kill this man so you can get the money. You are just biding your time. but she wants to be in on it and I don't know how that's gonna work.

Chanelle  (16:42)
Like it's like game recognizes game and it's the idea that they they still both are social pariahs and it doesn't serve Hayley's purpose. But if you have Leslie circling around while you're trying to kill him, it's not a good look. So she's gonna have to be very cautious of how she approaches this because even just being at the country club together, when Bill saw it, he got into protective mode and it's like, ⁓ here we go.

La (16:45)
She did say that.

Right, and that's something for him to keep in mind. I know you are pretty much the pariah of the gates, but the people you keep choosing to link yourself with, first Lynette, now this chick, I question your judgment and he should question hers, but you know how he's led by the wrong head.

Chanelle  (17:31)
Well, speaking of that, this goes a great transition of one thing I was surprised about and actually enjoyed was the sex talk between Tyrell and Martin

La (17:42)
Refreshing. Martin revealed that his first time was with a woman and that it went terrible, and he and the young lady recognized that they were better off as friends, and he embraced the fact that he was gay, but he was like, nobody's first time is gonna be great, but your goal is to try to find a partner who

stimulate your heart as well as your loins and it was a very good father-son talk.

Chanelle  (18:16)
It really was. I appreciated that little tidbit for Martin because in Soaps World, that could mean he has a illegitimate child out there somewhere. Just saying. Mark that down. ⁓ then it's also the idea where we got to see the the inner turmoil or at least the anxiety that Tyrell was feeling. Because through it all, he was unsure about himself. He felt like Jessica was definitely the one taking charge.

But it also unfortunately led to the fact of once it happened, you have Jessica being like, ooh, it was good, but I don't want to be your girlfriend, but we could still do it. And I'm like, girl, if you don't figure out a way to to f to make this a better, yeah, it's like a better way to do that too. Because I said you could scar that man for life after his first time. You're the first girl that he really loved and loved him back. And then you were like, you are fine, you are okay.

La (18:58)
That was a terrible that was a terrible reaction.

Chanelle  (19:14)
But let's break up but still hang out as much as possible because it's gonna be harder when we're away. Give the man a chance. Gee.

La (19:22)
Right. I'm like,

if you're gonna break up with him, you need to break up now because how do you think it's gonna be easier once fall hits and you and him go to your schools if you all been having sex all summer? You really think you'll be able to just be like, Okay, we're good now. If that's the case, use a cold woman and you might need to look inside yourself.

Chanelle  (19:42)
Jessica, I'm rooting for you, girl, but just be careful. And I said in the way that you hanging out and already getting in trouble, next thing you know, when that check doesn't clear for U C L A, you might be right at Banneker too.

La (19:53)
Not just that, I mean, we still haven't seen the repercussions of your little getaway after the cotillion. Your father and mother were livid and they were very angry at Tyrell thinking he was the mastermind, not realizing it was their child. So she thinks that they're gonna be able to hang out all summer. You may be grounded

Chanelle  (20:15)
goodness.

La (20:17)
and somebody else who was ⁓ in the mood this past week, that would be Miss Anita and Mr. Vernon. They tried. They tried, let's get it on at the mansion. And the two Richardson grandchildren, Martin and Kat, barged in on their little private time to the point where they ended up going to a hotel. But it was nice to see grown folks still passionate.

And he had the music and they was doing the dirty talk and they was taking off their little outfits. it was sensual. Yes. I know. She was like, Did you go to our favorite? I was like, I made y'all got a favorite lingerie place. Okay, bird.

Chanelle  (20:55)
Look, kicked off the shoes, bought her lingerie.

Look, cause

he he's talking about your favorite. She means your favorite. I said,

La (21:08)
Your favorite.

And then when they went to the hotel, what did we hear? ⁓ Vernon. Like, ⁓ lawd.

Chanelle  (21:14)
⁓ Vernon. I said, ⁓

I said, didn't he that mental picture? I'm right along with Kat and Martin on that work.

La (21:21)
Right now I was like,

would should we pop up in the scotch and like take some shots? 'Cause whoo, I wasn't ready for all that.

Chanelle  (21:27)
But I appreciate it. And those go back to wanting more family moments and understanding that again, seasoned people still make love. And it wasn't as gross as some of the other soaps when that happened. So I'm here for it.

La (21:29)
Very much. Yes.

Absolutely.

Yes, yes,

thank goodness. All right, should we head on to

Chanelle  (21:47)
Going to LA because I got some things to say.

La (21:51)
Alright, so first off, Hope has taken the leap. She is going to Logan no more being pushed around by Steffy Forrester and the Forresters who don't take Logan greatness seriously in her mind. She signed on the dotted line. Now, what I want to point out is the fact that she decided to tell her mama not the truth, but

A half truth. I can't stand working for Steffy no more. I don't believe she's going to give my line the importance that it deserves, so I'm going to take a hiatus. In doing so, you are still giving the implication that you work there, which means you'll probably still be getting a check. But now you have signed to another competing design house, which means, in my mind, you can be doing

you know, espionage. You can be telling Katie and Bill stuff that Forrester is planning to do. What if they're gonna do this huge fashion show or something. She can tell them. And she works for both places and that's illegal. Carter, get on the line. She needs to be sued because you should have quit.

before you sign to the other place. You are making Forrester think that you just need some time. So you're going to come back and work on the line. How do you know she's not gonna steal some of her designs from Hope for the Future and bring it to Logan? She has access still, she's just not working. But technically she wasn't working anyway in my mind at this time.

Chanelle  (23:32)
Well, because you know how I feel about her being the end-all be-all for Logan when she's not the designer. And I also peeped that one of the stipulations she was able to acquire was that Deke gets to be her designer, at least come over to Logan. So that means even if Zende thought to switch sides, you didn't even give them the opportunity. And how were you going to make this work?

La (23:56)
No, because she only

asked for her brother.

Chanelle  (23:59)
So I would feel a certain way too. It's like even though he was feeling hurt that he had to stop working on Hope for the Future, put his design to the side for at least the second time, it doesn't set up that kind of rivalry that I was really looking for. And speaking of Deke, I don't know what kind of color me bad suit they had him in. I noticed that the hair is darker, but it's not giving kind of the eccentric.

Or I'll say eclectic like style that he initially was showing because when he was working for Hope for the Future, they kept saying Urban. And I was like, well, what does Urban mean in their minds? I really need to see some more of these stylings because this also goes into a character who popped up was Wyatt. And we're thinking, ⁓ he's a part of Spencer Publications, but he's in there because Bill wants him to get the Hope for the Future diamond.

And I'm trying to figure out how that thing that he used to put on display when he was in love with Hope is gonna work with Deke's designs.

La (25:04)
Right, because his is pretty much Bohemian chic with I guess a dash of urban. And truth be told, both Hope and Deke's outfits this past week made me question their fashion logic because Hope looked frumpy to me. She had a big old blazer that looked way too big, and earlier she was wearing just that flowy dress most of the week. I'm like okay, is that

What we're to expect on the runway? I got questions.

Chanelle  (25:37)
And then if we have Deeke finally following his fashion dreams, I was like, what does that mean for Il Giardino? Because this week we got the new announcement that Bikini is officially open, and that is Deacon's newest restaurant.

La (25:45)
Thank you.

Right. So they had the big grand opening. Taylor was there and they were open and honest about being into each other, saying, I love you, giving kisses, to the point where Finn was there and he was like, ⁓ we just doing this out in the open like this? That's what we doing? Is Sheila anywhere in the vicinity? Should we be concerned? no, she's living with her roommate. She got a roommate? That's what everybody's saying. Steffy, Finn, everybody's like roommate, you say. But

Chanelle  (26:23)
No, didn't even

say friend, but I'm like, who was like, mm, Sheila Carter with her eight toes? I'll take her, let her live with my house. Who is this?

La (26:29)
she'll be a perfect

roommate. I don't have to sleep with what I open at all. So yeah, that bikini is open and I don't know who's running Il Giardino when Deacon is over there. We were thinking maybe Deke, but if he's gonna go to Logan, he ain't gonna have time to do that. Also, the fact that Hope and Bill and Katie are like nobody can know what Hope has done.

Chanelle  (26:48)
Deuces.

La (26:56)
Siding over with us until we're ready to launch with her line. And I'm like, A, what are you gonna call the line? And B, don't act like it's gonna take like 72 hours or a week. It takes months to get a line together. Plus, Just because you hired Deke doesn't mean that he's at the level that he can be a lead designer. So what do you think? You're gonna spend all summer hiding out from Brooke who pops over.

unexpectedly just to try to make amends with Katie, or you just think that nobody's gonna notice that you supposedly are on hiatus, but you're never home at the cabin on your mama's property no less. you're gonna get caught. And Donna knows and all you have to do is needle her I most likely I think she's gonna buckle for Eric. because as we saw the previews for this week.

Brooke goes back to Logan and asks Katie, so have you gotten a lead designer? She is coming for this information. And she's going to figure this out. What I would love is for Steffy to figure it out. I want Steffy to hone in and be like, wait a minute. So you can't work here, but you are working because I want her to catch her with a swatch, so maybe doing something. And then I want her to go back to Brooke.

And then Brooke confronts her or Donna or somebody or Katie and then it comes out. And then I want Steffy and Brooke to team up and take down Hope and Katie. I called for that a year ago. I'm like, I want Hope to feel the burn of betrayal. You think that your mother has never supported you or took herself seriously enough at Forrester?

What would be more dynamic than the woman she hates, Steffy, teaming up with her mother to present an amazing fashion show to take down Logan?

Chanelle  (29:05)
I would be here for it. I'd also be here for Brooke finally kicking Hope out. Be like, pack your bags from my cabin. Where am I gonna go? I don't know. I don't care. And then where would she go? Her and would be basically at probably Bill's, Bill's house. And then you have and it would be one of those things where all the couples can be together under one roof.

La (29:06)
That would be amazing.

Yes. Yep. I don't care.

Liam.

I don't see why they wouldn't.

Chanelle  (29:33)
Designing to their heart's content, but realizing, ooh, it's a lot harder than Forrester makes it out to be.

La (29:41)
Correct. And definitely Liam get kicked out because he's the one who keeps who kept badgering and encouraging Hope you can do better. Hope Forrester sucks. Hope Steffy is a tyrant. Okay, bruh, go on and go. You need to get out of my house. You need to get off my premises. you know Ridge has already tried to kick her out once. So once this all comes out, he gonna be like, Brooke, get her out.

Chanelle  (30:08)
And through it all while she was signing the papers, she didn't even go to Deacon's grand opening. And Steffy did, Finn did, Taylor did. Who else was there? Electra, Will and RJ.

La (30:15)
Steffy did. Steffy did.

Chanelle  (30:27)
This was one of the most useless kind of I don't even really consider it a fight. Like I really do have to consider it a sneak attack where throughout the crowds and throngs of people, the alcohol and tacos flowing, and apparently a delicious ceviche, we have Will and Electra finally declaring their love again and putting back on their necklaces and saying we're gonna be together.

La (30:44)
Delish

Chanelle  (30:54)
While all this is happening, you have RJ the Lurker staring at them, realizing what's happening, and just takes it upon himself while in front of Dylan, mind you, to be like, he doesn't deserve her. I see them getting back together. She she's doing this, he's gonna hurt her, and finally confront Will. In this confrontation, before he confronts Will.

He talks to Electra and it's like, Are you sure? Everything he already thinks, he says it again, reiterates it, and Will sees. Then once Electra leaves, because Will's like, let's have our own kind of grand opening party and reconnect. So she heads out. He sees RJ standing by himself near some couches. And it's like, Why are you talking to my girl? Yeah, we're back together. Sneak attack. This sneak attack, and he punched him in the ribs. It really was.

La (31:49)
He punched him

one time. And if you look at the the physics of it, RJ is bigger and wider with a six-pack because he did not have his shirt on. Because apparently, the dress code at bikini is wear bikinis. Right. So Will is built. Please don't get me wrong. That's not that he's built, but he's not as big as RJ is.

Chanelle  (32:02)
Bikinis and swimwear, yeah.

La (32:15)
And so one hit cracked this man's ribs? Like, Will, are you do you do like Deacon and no karate? Like that was, it was such a quick hit. I could see him knocking the wind out of him, Right. Yeah, bruising a rib. I just don't see the punch being, it was so quick. It didn't seem like it was quite that hard. But

Chanelle  (32:29)
Well luckily it was just bruised though. It was just bruised but it the

La (32:40)
He is, you know, down for the count. Finn is there, goes in the doctor mode, gives them ibuprofen and ice. They take him home. Ridge sees in is like, what happened to my son? And he's like, Will attack me because all I was doing was talking to Electra. And Ridge is like, was you talking to her? Were you talking to her? And he's like, he's hurt her before. I can't let it happen again. And Ridge is like, look, if they're together, they're together.

And of course, RJ's answer to everything, fire Will! He's a Spencer. He's a hothead, just like his father. Get rid of him. We can't have this at the company. He's going to destroy the whole thing. And I'm like, really? Again, still don't know what he does. So don't know if whatever he does is that intricate. Right. Like losing him or keeping him really doesn't make a difference. But

Chanelle  (33:29)
It won't be detrimental, but it's just one of those things.

He always

talks about Will like he's just a Spencer. It's like you can say your cousin. Like I understand that you all didn't grow up together. It's like one of those things where he would have a lot more brownie points for me if he was maybe quiet. If he didn't seem as stalker ish or creepy-ish, But if he wasn't so concerned about this being only about Electra.

La (33:38)
Right. See, I feel like sometimes he forgets.

Chanelle  (33:59)
If this was something where you know Katie's fighting with Brooke and he's taking upon himself to like take up the mantle for his mom and Forrester and being like, why is this Spencer here? I can understand that. For Electra to already tell him that she's in love with Will, if it wasn't for her Aunt Ivy, she would probably still be together. She's already forgiven Dylan. She wants to not only move past everything.

But start a new life together because they moved in together. Why are you so hellbent on thinking you know what's best for this young lady that you are making moves to disrupt her man's job? I i need them to think back to again. I like Scandal with Shonda Rhime's writing, where I fell in love with Olivia and Fitz. But I also liked her with Jake. Jake had his creepy moments, but

I saw where Olivia appreciated or responded well to him. Right now, aside from one fake out kiss and one in the moment because lemon bars apparently get them hot and bothered kiss, they weren't ever together. So it's not like he had a a piece of Electra and then it just fell apart because she moved back to Will. She's always wanted Will. So now you are the creepy, technically cousin. Again, Forrester and Forrester, Eww

Weird, but you're this guy who's on the outside looking in, trying to explain to her that her man's not good. Well, let her learn that life lesson herself. Because now you've just be coming off as annoying. You keep talking about fire him. Raise your hand if you're the CEO. You're not it. Then fall in line and know your role. Just because you have Forrester on your name, you are really moving like your brother Thomas before he got his life straightened out.

And that means he had to move to Paris. Like, what are you doing?

La (35:57)
What also makes me mad is this happened not on the Forrester premises. Now, if you're concerned about them working together, keep them apart. One. And two, give them both a warning. Because I need you, RJ, not to be buzzing around Electra for no reason. You're working with her. This is a professional setting, such as it is. Be professional.

You are only to talk to Electra when it involves work, not socializing anymore because it's too pragmatic with Will. And Will, you're on warning. If we have any more issues that include physical touch, like you punching at him or he punching at you, the both of you are fired. How about that? Son or no son, RJ. I will not have this ridiculousness continuing at our company. So

The fact that RJ is like, you're fired. I'm like, again, like Chanelle said, you're not the CEO. You have no power like that. And it wasn't done on the premises. as far as I know, you could have had a drink, which you did, and Will could have had a drink. This could have been a drunken thing. What you do outside of the office, I don't care. As long as it doesn't sully our good name. But you acting crazy in the office, that's my priority. So

Chanelle  (37:19)
In the office. Remember, Carter broke it up. I was like, You really trying hard. And if you're really gonna be a rat, which I feel like he could be, then you should have been like, I'm pressing charges there. had Dylan as your witness, but that means she's gonna also undercut Will, who she loves, and Electra, who's her friend, because then she's like, I'm you're you're moving in with Will. ⁓ after everything that happened at the Bikini.

La (37:21)
And it didn't get them fired. Yeah. So

Chanelle  (37:46)
And Will hit him once and didn't even think about it. He's like he he moved on with his evening, got his girl, they woke up together, mm-hmm, smooches, and Ridge texted and was like, Come to the office. He's like, What's going on? What what's what's up?

La (37:50)
Yeah.

Well the funny

thing was he was like, ooh, good news travels fast. Y'all heard that me Electra are back together? Bruh, you really think that's what we're talking about here?

Chanelle  (38:05)
It's like, yeah,

we're not popping champagne and having cake for this. Like, read the room, my guy. Bless his heart. but through that all, it's like, okay, with with all of this popping off, this is when Carter's like, well, technically it could be felony assault. If you don't just let Finn put some ice on this, give him some ibuprofen and keep it moving. We shouldn't be throwing bows. We're all family.

La (38:14)
Yeah.

Chanelle  (38:33)
But we're not gonna nip it in the bud RJ stop like a creep.

La (38:37)
Yeah, I don't want him to be the Thomas two point ⁓ We don't need that. The obsessive gene in that family, when they lock on to a girl and is like, that's the only one for me, he actually walked into Bikini with a girl on each arm. So you're not hurting for female attention. You just didn't get the one you wanted. So let it go. Take the L.

And just focus on couture. Y'all say it every ten seconds that all you care about right now is getting the stain of Logan associated with Eric Forrester off. So let's focus. Focus on work for five seconds. Can we do that?

Chanelle  (39:21)
I just wanna figure out how we can get past this because it's gonna get worse before it gets better, but it's annoying as all get up because it's like you haven't even been here a full year and I'm already tired of you.

La (39:36)
Ha ha ha ha ha.

Chanelle  (39:37)
Doesn't help. And now I'm I'm almost on siding with Zende, where it's like you have him so focused on Electra. Why am I designing with this man? Why is this little boy who's still trying to figure out what he wants to do, sketching and being a designer, have the same level of critiques and comments as me, who I've been trying to get my line off the ground for how many years? It just keeps sticking me with Hope for the Future and then canceling it.

Let's get through this couture line, please. Please and thank you.

La (40:08)
Right, so I

can get back to what I wanna do.

Alright, we ready to go to Port Charles? All right, General Hospital. Ha ha ha. It was a little lackluster. You have Dante and Lulu trying to figure out where how to pinpoint Britt and Rocco, who were now on the run. They were going to go chase after him themselves. But then Sonny was like, no, no.

Chanelle  (40:15)
We can.

La (40:40)
If you try to go after Rocco, Cullum is already got his eye on you, Lulu. So most likely you're going to lead Cullum right to the person he's looking for. So I have my secret weapon, aka Brick. I cannot stand Brick. So I'm like, really? That's your best bet? Okay. Because they were gonna call the FBI and it cracked me up that

Lulu didn't catch this. She's like, We're gonna we can just call the FBI. He was like, You do realize the FBI is associated with the CIA, which is associated with the WSB made ups thing that we have. If we tell them, they're going to talk to each other. She's like, ⁓ I'm like, we in this predicament because you were trying to be slick and got a fake passport.

Chanelle  (41:27)
Mm-hmm. And then Dante throwing Britt under the bus even further because he's like, Britt got it. I would have been like, Lulu, you better take this L or you know

La (41:36)
I did laugh

at that. I was like, I know you didn't, but it's with the new guy who's very by the book, so he probably would have arrested Lulu on the spot.

Chanelle  (41:46)
Why do you have a fake passport? Didn't you have a fake idea as a child? I rest my case. ⁓ no, ma'am, I did it. Like

La (41:52)
Knowing him, he probably didn't.

Chanelle  (41:54)
⁓ it's like again, those Spencer genes. I I I question. It's like Laura would never like you just did not set this up properly. Did you burn your fake passport? Like i ⁓ Lula.

La (42:07)
Then you have Sidwell. Sidwell was on one this past week. Willow demanded he come over to the house. Meanwhile, before he gets there, Willow is explaining. I am so sorry that you are trapped in your body, Drew, but it's what we have to do at this time. But I've got things in the works. My goal is to find something incriminating on you so I can stop giving you these doses, put you in jail, and then

You can't bother me anymore. Why take my kids and be a congressperson? By the way, I'm gonna keep this seat too. You're not gonna get back in the Congress. Okay, we're good. Let me lotion these arms real quick. Then Sidwell comes and he's like, You know what? Why are you complaining? Drew is amazing silent. In fact, he's like a potted plant. Don't even worry about it. I was like, you called the man a plant, and I'm telling you.

Cameron Mathison's eye game is better than anything he's ever said on the show. The looks he be giving them, like, I know you didn't. He was furious. You could see it. But then Sidwell is like, well, if we take him off the medication, you are Delulu if you think that he is not gonna tell the earth what we have done. So we gotta kill him. And

Willow was like, we can't kill him. He's like, we running out of options. Either he stays put, not able to do anything but blink, or we kill him. These are the only options. Or correction. There is a third one. You handle it and never bother me again. Cause I got other stuff I gotta do. And left her and she's like, It was crazy work. And he is, he is just like Curtis, stuck on the wrong ish.

Chanelle  (43:44)
He's like, Bye.

La (43:56)
He got the autopsy report on his son. And he was gonna look at it, but Ava was like, don't do it. I didn't do it when they gave me Kiki's because I didn't want to know how she died, every detail. It's it just made me relive the pain all over again. So he doesn't open it. He instead has Pascal put it in a safe. So when he's ready, he can have it.

But then Pascal, he's like talking to him, Sidwell, and he's like, I need to figure out who did this, something so brutal. It's apparently, you know, they didn't break in, so it was somebody that Marco knew who could have done such a thing. And he remembers that Cassius put a bug in his ear about Lucas. Lucas, we have this time frame that we can't account for the night of Marco's murder.

And you know, where was he? And Sidwell knows that Pascal had a crush on his son. In fact, he admonished him for it months ago and was like, Look, it's never gonna happen. My son is not interested in you. He's in love with Lucas. Let it go. And the fact that that has it registered to him is just I guess it's the grief.

Chanelle  (45:16)
Yeah, because Ava even tried to explain to him. She was like, you know, okay, if Marco knew this person, is it someone from his days in Miami? And he's like, No, I don't think so. He's like, What if it's someone who had unrequited love for Marco and because he couldn't have him? And he's like, Possibly. She was like, you know, these are just theories I'm throwing out. But he was like, Lucas loved Marco. Wouldn't think to do it. And he just kind of glazes over that fact where

Pascal even has the tie on. You didn't remember like your son's favorite tie from his boyfriend. You don't realize that Pascal's been just a little bit calmer lately, but still a little high strung when it comes to Lucas. ⁓ hurry up, Sidwell, because again, all these things that floating around with him, with the blackmailing of the mayor, with everything, and with trying to find Britt while still dealing with Willow.

You can't be this big bad guy and things are falling apart. If they're falling apart, you're at the center. You're the common denominator.

La (46:24)
Then we have Curtis and him badly hurting Isaiah to the point where now we're having the trickle-down effect. With Isaiah and his multifaceted broken hand, he cannot operate as a surgeon. Apparently, he's not just a surgeon. He's a niche surgeon who specialty includes liver transplants, but only when people are having very, very, very

difficult times with their liver for the transplant to happen. So we were introduced to this young boy, I think his name is Derek, a couple weeks ago. And he loves Kai and he loves football. And so Kai was recruited by Isaiah to talk to him because he was feeling down because his transplant was taking forever to happen. Finally gonna happen. Now that Isaiah is injured, he's like, I was the only person on the planet

That could do it and the other people who are at my level aren't available. What are we gonna do? I gotta tell them that the transplant's gonna be put on hold. Now, as a watcher of other medical shows, I've seen where people have had tremors and stuff like that, the yips and they can't do surgery, but they can consult and guide somebody who can do it.

And I don't see why Isaiah can't do that. Instead, you're telling everybody, Derek's gonna die, and it's all because Curtis tried to kill me when he punched me one time, my guy. I need to see how you fell on his hand because the fact that you are broken eleven bones makes no sense to me.

Chanelle  (48:08)
Eleven bones, one black eye. Yep.

La (48:10)
Torn,

like in his wrist. I'm like, you would think that Curtis had thrown you off a cliff as opposed to a punch and you fell on the ground. So, but of course, everybody, their mother is like, Curtis hitting Isaiah has ruined the earth. And it has. because he's still convinced that he's in the right, not just for what Isaiah said about.

I'll be a better father to your unborn child than you will. But also the fact that he's still convinced that Isaiah was the one that tried to take Curtis and Jordan, didn't take them off the road, but didn't come back and check on them. So it doesn't even register to him that he could be wrong. But somebody else has figured out who possibly really did it.

Chanelle  (48:54)
It's just players.

Michael, Michael.

La (49:03)
I

am impressed that he put it all together because as Chanelle has pointed out numerous times, Brook Lynn just can't keep a lid on her nervousness and her guilt. so it turns out this past week, Chase moves Brook Lynn's car because she left it in the driveway as opposed to parking it properly in the garage.

Chase is like, I'll go move it. He comes back. There's a rattle on your passenger side door. Did you know that? I don't know anything about cars. And Tracy is like, my gosh, I'll get it taken care of. And of course, she calls the garage that they went to to get it fixed after the guardrail incident and is like fussing them out. Fix this. We are not supposed to be hearing a rattle. And ⁓ Michael comes after a workout and he's talking to Brook Lynn and

she was gonna give a gift to Willow, thanking her for all the help with the Phoebe adoption journey her and Chase are on. And she's like, ⁓ but I have to wait till Chase gets back. He was like, just use my car. And she was like, why would I use your car? He was like, Isn't your car going in the shop? That's what I heard this morning from Tracy. And she's like, yeah, that's right. He was like, has that rattling always been there? And she's like, What are you, a mechanic? Don't worry about it.

And so she's all hyped and you know bothered about that. And then he is like, Why are you giving Willow a gift? And she's like, you know, to thank her. He was like, haven't you thanked her enough? No, you know, he's like, I'm just saying, Willow is after your man. He pretty much said that. And she's like, No, they're just, you know, he's just thankful for all that she's doing for the Phoebe situation. He was like, Okay. And then he's like, Why are you helping Trina so much?

Because she has such talent. He was like, She'd been talented and you weren't even there when she sang. Why are why are you questioning me? And when Jacinda comes over, he's like he called her and Jacinda comes over, he's like, Mm, Brook Lynn did it

Chanelle  (50:51)
Mm-hmm.

He laid out everything. I just love that Jacinda was like a sounding board and it's like, ooh, yeah, it's not looking too good. and Michael is not gonna just turn her over to Curtis or the police. No, no. What he's using this information for is to eventually get Willow and Chase together, which means either he's gonna have to do an anonymous tip or he's going to have to finally tell the truth to someone.

But in the hopes of breaking up Chase and Brook Lynn.

La (51:33)
And he is not upset about it. He's like, my cousin deserves better than this man. He is self-righteous. And I just need to get this done. And Jacinda's like, You really gonna just take away Brook Lynn's happiness with her husband? He was like, Absolutely. And I'm gonna get rid of Willow. Everybody wins.

Chanelle  (51:53)
He's like, and this is how we're gonna do it.

La (51:57)
Brilliant.

All right. Shall we head to Genoa City?

Chanelle  (52:06)
We can. Well, before we do, there was a special guest appearance on GH.

La (52:12)
⁓ yes!

Maxwell Caulfield.

Chanelle  (52:16)
Yes, yes, yes.

La (52:17)
Now, if you don't know him, he is best known for appearing as the lead in Grease 2. And he was on Empire Records and it was called Rex Manning Day. And his wife used to be on the show Passions. So it was a surprise to see him. Ava and Alexis went to New York to try to figure out more about Delilah.

Chanelle  (52:25)
Mm-hmm. And

La (52:47)
What they end up doing is meeting with Caulfield's character, I think his name was Apollo. And he apparently don't know nothing, but he does really know Ethan. And he calls Ethan is like, I got these two women here, Alexis and Ava, asking about Delilah. And he's like, Okay, just act like you don't know nothing. And he's like, That's exactly what I'm doing. But then Ava was told explicitly by Alexis, we need to be covert.

Chanelle  (52:52)
Yes it was.

Ha ha ha.

La (53:16)
Do not say the word Quartermaine. We don't want them to know where we're from, what we're doing. We just want to get information. First, Ava goes right to him. Hey Apollo, I just wanted to let you know that the people we're here for got money. They're named the Quartermaines and they'll give you some if you give us some good information. This man comes back with a tablet picture of Delilah hugged up on Ethan. And both Alexis and Ava's like, Well damn.

Chanelle  (53:22)
She's like, Yeah, yeah, gotcha. Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

That's all he needed was a little motivation.

La (53:47)
of monetary motivation. But it was so cool to see him. I don't know if it was a one and done, but I was like, he's he looks great.

Chanelle  (53:58)
I like him. He's a cool rider to me forever and always.

La (54:00)
Yes. I

remember. I remember him say he couldn't sing great. But I love that he tried. Yes. All right, now off to Young and the Restless. Where

Chanelle  (54:06)
No, it's okay. The accent makes up for it. Yes.

Genoa City.

La (54:16)
Where Nicholas Newman still popping pills, still sweating and shaking, overdosing, and we have Matt Clark still defenseless, docile. I don't know who I am. I don't know why I'm here. And Phyllis leaves him a message. She's like, Look, I know Patty got to you.

Chanelle  (54:23)
Overdosing.

La (54:43)
Just let me explain why I knocked you out and tied you up in the hotel. I can break this down. I promise. there's a method to my madness. And all he heard was when she said, I have feelings for you. So he calls back and he's like, Did you mean what you said? And she's like, Yes, I hit you, but I didn't mean to hurt you or make you think that I don't try. He was like, No, that you care about me? And she's like, yeah, 100%.

And so he comes to her office and he's almost tries to kiss her. And then he's like, wait, wait, wait. I think I'm married. I have a ring. What if my wife's looking for me? Do I still have a wife? What? And she's like, actually, you don't. You're divorced. Your wife was named Sienna, but y'all hated each other and she found out that you were a liar and a terrible person, and she left. I'm divorced.

And she left you because she cheated with one of the Newmans, Noah. The guy that hit me? Yes. Okay, wait. So the guy that hit me cheated with my wife, but I'm the bad guy? Yes, you still are a bad person. So she calls Nick, lets him know that she has Matt in her possession at the office. He puts a complete

Chanelle  (55:44)
Yeah.

La (56:05)
blast email, tells all the Newmans, they all come over. Adam wasn't invited, and neither was Nikki and Victoria. But Sienna comes, n Noah comes, Sharon is there, and of course Phyllis and Victor. And they're like, Matt Clark.

And he's like, Look, y'all, I really wish I knew who you were. And Sienna's like, So you don't know me? And he was like, I sure don't. And Noah says the name Sienna. And he's like, ⁓ you the one that I was married to who cheated on me with this guy. Yes. Yes. And you know, Nick is just flustered. And he's like, I can't believe you are lying right to our face. You know who we are and you know what you did and you will pay for this. So he goes to call Burrows.

Chanelle  (56:37)
Like, hi Matt. Hey.

La (56:52)
Who again, we still ain't seen this man since he moved to Genoa City. And he's on the phone and he's shaking and sweating and looking real bad. And then drops the phone and then passes out. And knowing that this man has been on drugs all this time, everybody is like, what's wrong with him? Is he okay? You know he's on that ish. And Matt is like, he overdosing.

And they're like, what do we do? What can we do? ⁓ my gosh. And Matt is like, I can help him. And Noah's like, How dare you try to kill him? I'm not gonna let you near him, and hems him up against the wall. He's like, Your dad's gonna die if I don't get my hands on him. You better let me go. And he pushes Noah out of the way, first off, the first thing he does is shake the crap out of it. But I'm like, I hope you have something else in your arsenal.

Chanelle  (57:47)
Really. He was like, Newman, Nick, wake

wake up. I said, Okay.

La (57:51)
I was like, you

better know more than that. So he shakes him, then he starts doing the CPR, but he doesn't do the combo. He's like, Phyllis, come over here. I need you to do mouth to mouth. So she's doing mouth to mouth. He's doing compressions. we have no pulse on Nick. Nick is officially dead. So they're doing the CPR. Finally, we hear a little bit of wheezing and eyes all fluttering. So he's kind of back, but luckily Victor has called the ambulance. They've

Chanelle  (58:02)
Yeah, he does the compressions.

La (58:20)
come shockingly there nobody has Narcan knowing that Nick is now a opioid abuser and they give him Narcan and he wakes right up. So they're able to take him to the hospital and everybody has to look at Phyllis and Matt and be like, my gosh, you two saved his life And of course everybody's like, How did you know what to do, Matt? And he was like, I don't know. It was instinct I guess. I heard I was a drug dealer.

Chanelle  (58:51)
Yeah, I'd be like that'll do it if you want to keep your clients around. Yeah.

La (58:52)
Yep, apparently you do know your craft. Sir

you are well versed. But Victor, despite being grateful, is like you gots to go to the ranch. So his two goons come, ham him up and drag him out. And he's like, You don't have to do that. He's like, Get out. And Phyllis is like, But wait, he saved Nick. And Victor's like, What was the deal? You give me Matt Clark and I let you keep the company, right? So back off.

And they take Nick to the hospital and the next day this man after his second overdose is back home at the ranch. Now, after this second attempt of taking his own life and not listening to people about going to rehab, he shouldn't have been allowed off the premises. He should have been straight to a rehab center.

Chanelle  (59:38)
Lyin.

Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Go to rehab and not trying to do an outpatient whatever.

La (59:42)
No.

How many times are we gonna Have overdoses. His body can't take this. And what does he say? I will go to rehab. I promise as soon as I see Matt Clark. I'm like, why do you not understand the seriousness of this situation? Needless to say, Victor is like, okay, okay, okay. But you have to promise that after you see Matt, you go to rehab. Absolutely.

So they take him downstairs. Now, the silliness to me is where they're holding him. The ranch is huge. You can put him in a barn, you can put him in a shed. They put him in Victor's weight room. So as soon as you walk in, there's a whole shelf of dumbbells. If Matt was in his right mind, as soon as you hear the door unlock, a bling, I would have knocked somebody right in the face with a dumbbell.

But thankfully he doesn't know how angry and mean he can be. So he's sitting there, you know, head in hand, just like, ⁓ and Nick comes in and he's like, I heard that you and Phyllis saved my life. He was like, Yeah. You don't think that cleans the slate, do you? He's like, No. But everybody in that room was so frightened and they love you. And nobody's ever looked at me like that, so

I feel like even if you kill me right now, maybe that'll like the one good deed I did as opposed to all the bad ones, that'll kinda help my soul. And he he was just Yes! He was ready to go. And Nick has the episode and starts punching at the bag and like screaming, and he almost hits Matt, and Matt looks terrified.

Chanelle  (1:01:23)
Look, trying to get to heaven. ⁓

La (1:01:40)
And Nick is able to stop himself. So I don't know what they're gonna do with Matt. Please don't send him away. You know I love Roger Howarth but he's a changed man for the time being.

Chanelle  (1:01:52)
There really was like an episode of Scared Straight. And at this point, I just want to be like, why do you have me rooting so hard for Matt Clark right now? It's like it it truly must be because this man has been ducking and dodging prison, jail time, prosecution, and now with amnesia, it's like, is he really such a bad guy? Like, is it I know he's done terrible, terrible things.

La (1:01:56)
Yeah.

Because it's Roger.

It's so nice in the line.

Chanelle  (1:02:20)
But he has gotten so many things where it's like, Well, I can kinda understand. I I feel like I root more for him at with his amnesia than I do for Phyllis or Patty. It's crazy.

La (1:02:33)
And Patty is not pleased because she has left numerous messages for Matt and he has not responded. And she even came at Phyllis and was like, What'd you do with Matt? He is not responding to me, and we have grown close. And Phyllis is like, Don't you worry about it. And whatever. Nobody cares about you. Meanwhile, they cannot find Diane, Kyle and Jack. She has vanished, apparently.

didn't go to a scheduled meeting and nobody's seen her at the hotel. So she seems to be missing. And they go to Crimson Lights and confront Patty and it's like, What'd you do with her? Where'd you take her? And she's like, I I don't know anything about her. All I know is that she was staying at the hotel, but you do realize this is the same woman who faked her own death and you didn't see her for decades. So you really think she's above just leaving?

Chanelle  (1:03:31)
Again, Josh, Joshua, Josh, you know how we feel about these darn kidnappings. We already have Daniel putting out into the atmosphere that Danny is not returning phone calls. Now we have Diane skipping meetings, not returning phone calls, but has already iced out Jack. So aside from Kyle, is anybody even checking for her? If it's not Patty.

La (1:03:33)
Ha ha ha.

Chanelle  (1:03:59)
Collecting all these people Genoa City like a Pokemon, then who is it? Like what's going on? And why am I supposed to care? Why? Similar to how you feel about Claire and Holden. But I kinda care about it. I kinda do.

La (1:04:13)
Huh!

This one.

Why would you care? This woman is so she just needs to be by herself and really sort out her feelings. She's still at the New York Hotel. Holden is hanging out with his mom, who is like, Claire seems, you know, to have promise. And he's like, We're just friends, friends with benefits, but still just friends. but that's him placating to her. He wants to be in a full blown relationship with this woman, but she keeps

you know, pulling him in, pushing him away. And while he's with his mom at the hospital checking on his father, she is back at the hotel going through his things. And I still think in the back of her mind she still wants to know what he and Audra did.

Chanelle  (1:05:06)
True, true.

La (1:05:07)
So she finds a picture of him when he was young. She's going through his clothes and he comes back and he's like, What's going on? And she's like, just waiting for you. How is Malcolm? Give it to me. And she's all over him again. And I'm like, Are you together or not? If this is just a fling, you really need to reiterate that every time you sleep with Holden. Because every time you sleep with Holden, unfortunately, you are making it unclear to him that you just want to be with him. It's so annoying.

Chanelle  (1:05:36)
Again, they're gonna pop up with a friend baby eventually because these benefits have not run out anytime soon.

La (1:05:38)
Yep, they are.

Yes.

Chanelle  (1:05:45)
But we'll see. Aside from them, I do I really care how Adam feels? Should should go into it. Go explain this Adam Chelsea and Sally having a baby by somebody else.

La (1:05:55)
Ha ha ha

Okay, so Billy is giddy at the Society bar. And Adam walks in, is like, give me my regular. And Billy's like, No, no, put it on my tab. And Adam's like, What are you so happy about? ⁓ life is good. And he's like, Well, it can't be that good. You are under investigation along with Cane and Phyllis and possibly will go to jail for stealing my father's company. I don't know why you thought you were better than Victor Newman.

Doesn't matter. That's you know falsified evidence, but that's not why I'm happy. And he's like, okay, curiosity got me. What's so exciting for you? He's like, Sally and I are getting married. He's like, ⁓ okay, my condolences to Sally for saying yes to this. He's like, not just that. We're having a baby. And he's like, ⁓ Well, I'm happy for Sally and the child. He's like, You're not happy for me? I'm happy for Sally.

And the child And you can just see that he's not taking it well because when Chelsea comes and she's all bragging about Connor doing so well on his project. She was helping him with biology. And he's like, yeah, that's great. And she's like, What's wrong with you? And he explains that Billy told him that they're getting married, and she's like, And they're having a baby. And he she's just like, And

What does that have to do with you? But then you see the preview for this coming week and Adam has the audacity to be like, We've done such a great job with Connor. Have you ever thought of having another child? I'm like, we're not in a pregnancy competition.

Chanelle  (1:07:45)
Especially it's like with Connor, it's like bless his O C D and aside from hockey, he's had such a trouble up bringing it's like, You did that well of a job, you think? okay.

La (1:07:58)
If anything, it was a uphill climb the whole time. And we ain't even got him graduated yet. But he is, if I'm not mistaken, if he's not in eighth grade, he's in high school, and now you want me to have another child just cuz No, absolutely not.

Chanelle  (1:08:14)
a ring the fact that Chelsea just swears up and down she is new and through and through but but I was like but you ain't even trying to claim her on your taxes let her be free before you try to get her to pop out another kid for you please

La (1:08:19)
Right, they're partners. They're partners.

Yeah.

Amen.

No. But in other news, Cane and Lily are getting closer. So Lily returns back from New York. She meets up with her cousins, Nate and Devon. Devon is still giving her crap because he's like, okay, so Cane saved Malcolm's life. And why you still talking to him? And she's like, he did a good thing. He's doing better. Not before he killed.

Nate's brother, and she's like, You're just an angry man, angry little man. And I'm not gonna deal with it anymore. And then Cane calls. She's like, How did you know I just got off the plane? He was like, I have my sources. But if you're free, could you come over by the train? I got a surprise for you. And knowing how much that Nate and Devon do not like Cane, I would have been like, Yes. That's all I would have said. Instead, she's like, I'll stop by

And then you see Devon, like, ugh, Lily, really, Lily. You falling right back into his old habits. And she's like, You need to get a hold of your anger and get yourself together. I'm going to see. Right. I'm going to see Cane. So she goes over. Cane has roses and candles and a meal made for her. And she's like, is this my surprise? And he has champagne and

Chanelle  (1:09:34)
Heal go heal.

La (1:09:51)
She's like, what if I said no? He was like, I would have had a lot of leftovers. So thank you for coming. So they eat. he had dessert made. They have a nice conversation. And he's like, you know, I'm so glad that Malcolm's doing better. I'm so glad that I can help. And I'm so glad that she said yes. And they're hanging out with me. And then it's time for her to leave. She's like, I've been ripping and running all day. I really need to go to bed. And so they're at the door. He does the signature hot man move.

puts the arm on the door jam over her, leans in, they get to kiss it, and she gets into it, he gets into it, and luckily they're able to pull away. She leaves, literally holding her cheek like blushing. And he has to sit down and run his fingers through his hair because the power was too strong.

Chanelle  (1:10:40)
Yes and yes.

La (1:10:40)
I loved

it. I loved it. I loved it. I loved it.

Chanelle  (1:10:43)
Even for their intimate talk, where he was like, be real with me. Like, what did Victor promise you? It and told him everything. She's like, Chancellor, he still has it. He hasn't given it back. She's like, You trusted Victor. He's like, I understand, but you could do so much better. I'm thinking this man again would move heaven and earth for you. And then he's like, You did it to get back at me, didn't you? And even she was like, a little bit, just a little bit.

La (1:10:48)
right, she confessed.

He's like understandable. I was like, this man, this is I'm sorry. can anybody can hate this whole union if you want to, but I am rooting, rooting, rooting for Kate and Lily.

Chanelle  (1:11:12)
Growth. Growth.

La (1:11:23)
Redemption

Chanelle  (1:11:25)
You do, you do. And someone who's not being redeemed.

I don't know with Nikki, ⁓ we're seeing in the previews MS might be flaring up, but don't have her just having random visions. Like d

La (1:11:35)
It could be something else. Yeah.

my gosh. She was in the exact outfit when she got the call. She had a terrible dream that she came over to apologize to Victor and is like, we need to get together because Nicholas needs us. And Victor and Victoria were huddled together and they turn around weeping and they're like, I'm sorry, Nikki. Nick overdosed and died and she wakes up screaming. Now, mind you, like you said, she's been suffering from these terrible headaches that are mostly

MS ⁓ provoked. But it could be something else. I hope it isn't, but it could be. And if it is, I would think that would be something that would make Victor recognize that he loves her too much to like kick her out of the house and he would be by her side. But then like maybe an hour later, that's when Victor calls and is like, I'm sorry to tell you, but you need to go to the hospital immediately. Nicholas overdose. And she's like, No, my vision!

Chanelle  (1:12:16)
Uh-huh.

La (1:12:30)
Yes, like that nightmare came true and it was like, dang, and you wearing that same outfit, girl.

Chanelle  (1:12:30)
And Victoria's like, We're on our way.

Gotta think happier thoughts.

La (1:12:38)
Yes, yes, talk affirmation into existence, please!

Chanelle  (1:12:43)
Yes,

but through it all, again, I still am rooting for Nicholas. I appreciate the PSA at the end. I'm thinking this was on overdose number two and not one, but

La (1:12:47)
Mm.

Yes.

Yeah, we

could have been doing this the moment he started doing drugs, not right yet.

Chanelle  (1:12:56)
Once he started popping pills for sure, but

we'll take it how we can get it for now, Josh.

La (1:13:02)
Yes.

Well, that concludes this week's episode of Lather Up with La.

Chanelle  (1:13:12)
And Chanelle.

La (1:13:13)
We will be watching the stories because we do it for who? Every week and we love every minute of it. Thank you.

Chanelle  (1:13:16)
We do this for you.

Bye.
