Hello there! Welcome for another installment of Lather Up with La. Alright, let's get to the news of the week. We have the final reveal of Heather, who is Joey Armstrong's sister, coming on Monday. So let's keep an eye on that. But if that's the case, kudos to her. Then we have on General Hospital the arrival of a newcomer named Tristan Roberts. they didn't explain what he's gonna be, but he's going to apparently join the show on the 16th.

Thousandth episode of General Hospital. Can you believe they've had that many episodes? But he's arriving. That's gonna be his debut day.

In July, I'm again, justice for little Scout though, because I thought there were possibilities to have her woven into the story, but I do want to see what this older recast of Scout might bring to port Charles and.

I saw a glimpse of it and I was like, we flew all the way to the West Coast to try to trigger his memory. It did not even occur to me that Noah would do this. He didn't tell Sienna, he didn't tell anybody that he was gonna do it in the exact replica.

Weird. But did trigger his memory. But my confusion is, did it only trigger his memory for the last what, like months that he was wreaking havoc on the Newmans? Or does he remember when he was younger and in high school harassing and doing all the bad things to Sharon and Nick?

He's like, Josh, we have some questions. And that's a good point because now he remembers it all. And he's like, I'm a monster. But then it's like, well, do you want to a feeling of evil or wanting to kill? Not as profane, but I kind of, enjoyed it. It was good. I'm like, oh goodness, here we go. So now he's a ticking time bomb who eventually will be working, working for Victor. And I'm like, again.

Josh, as anti-climactic as many of these things throughout this week have been, I'm talking and looking at the Newman Enterprises takeover and take back. I just want to know if this is how you were going to use Roger. I wish you would have brought him back as a different character because now you have me rooting for serial rapists who can go off at any time.

who seems to be making Phyllis fall in love with him. And now you have me question where is Patty? Cause she kind of liked him too. Why?

Roger brought it this past week. Him in the fetal position in his holding quarters, just reliving all the pain and suffering it caused and just crying, him begging Victor, even begging for a shower. Is it possible that I could wash up and just get a meal? ⁓ please, sir, can I have some more? ⁓ He just delivered every time. I was like, I'm telling you.

At first, when he was on One Life to Live, and he was unfortunately a rapist on their show, too. His delivery of redemption was so powerful that I couldn't not root for him. And He was a killer on General Hospital as Franco. You can make him the most evil man in the world. And when it's time for him to ask for forgiveness, he gets you. You're like, I see it.

Yes. Now let's talk about the anticlimactic return of Newman Enterprise.

Josh, Josh, Josh, Josh. I know this is before you were strictly just the head writer, but I need you all to have in that writing room, a cork board, some red string, and some note cards. Because I wanna know how you get from point A to point C with all the convoluted mess around point B, Because it's like, what in the world? Phyllis.

this whole time, weeks, months, if you will, has been touting the fact that she not only beat Victor and the Newman's, that she got over on Kane, that Summer's Conglomerate is gonna just look to the future and build a legacy for her kids even though they don't want her. But all that changed after Nick's dying in her office. brought back because of her efforts, along with Matt Clark.

to only say, know what, prison is not where I need to be. Let me go on and give this company back. Just make sure that Christine knows that her first case was a flop. was very just like, okay, we had Michael coming back, Michael who has been hired and fired at least three or four times to finally let her see the light and say, you don't wanna go to prison for this. Just give Victor what he wants. That's all you need to do. Get out of prison.

Don't worry about what's gonna come next. You won in your mind. And that's what they did. And you brought Christine over to the Newman Ranch to first say, I don't know what's going on. That's not a good look for your DA. Then they finally admit. The emails, they were all a lie. With her being like, what? My forensics team combed through it. It looked legit. We're telling you it's a lie, Christine. Just go with it. To the point that they are

hashing out a scheme and compromise where it's like, okay, you give us back Newman Enterprises, we'll drop the charges. And she's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, I didn't agree to that. Why are you even here, Christine? Really, when Phyllis calls her a bug, this is the moment that Cricket, I'm just shaking my head. Like this was just not the perfect setup. Like you all should have hashed this out before she got there. Because now you have the DA knowing that you lied, knowing that you did steal the company, Phyllis.

And then you have Victoria who lied and presented this false evidence to her being like, what did you tell her dad? Nothing. ⁓ okay. Well, I perhaps fudged the truth a little bit, but we want to make our company back. So please drop the charges. It was a lot. And there was no kind of twists or turn that really made it even worthwhile. The paperwork was done basically in a day because by Friday, Victor Newman was back in his office.

It was so anticlimactic for this payoff that was supposed to be big. You almost forget that Cane started this whole mess back when he was Alexander Dumas with an AI system that we never really saw working except for doing fake paperwork. I was like, what in the world? But I feel like now almost all is right or all is well in Genoa City. But it left me with an empty feeling. I'm not even angry. I'm just.

disappointed or, ⁓

It's true. And now Victor has recruited Matt. You get to live. I'm not gonna send you to jail. But now you're going to be my henchman and your goal is to take down Cane Ashby. What are you taking? His AI program was stolen by Victor. Victor had it stolen by Phyllis. In the process of both of them having it, he has supposedly nothing really left.

What are you gonna do to him? unless you kill him. There's nothing to take from him anymore. And the fact that, like you said, Victoria is the one who handed Christine all the fake evidence. Victor made the deal. What was to stop her from being like, Okay, Victor, you're in the free and clear, Phyllis is in the free and clear, but Victoria, you got the ball rolling, you're under arrest.

at least give me something for a payoff because even trying to go after Cane or even Billy, all of that is now, you know, I love the saying the fruit of the poisonous tree because it's like you have all of this information, but you know how you got it was fake and no deals will be made. And you know how I feel about something in my heart of hearts. I want a for a Cricket. Lord knows I do. I should. She's

legacy at best. But the way that they have her written as an attorney, it's always like, you know, she's going to lose in the ninth hour. She's always going to lose. And first case out the gate of being voted in as DA. It's a loss. It's a wash. Crazy.

And she gotta get rid of her forensic teams because if they comb through that fake evidence making her think that it was legitimate, they suck.

I'm saying I'm like it was it look open AI was it chat GPT plus was it clawed code like perplexity like what was used that you could not tell and they were like nope it's good and she's like well I mean I thought it was it sounded like girl he's telling you it's fake at this point just believe him and and live to fight another day

And then we have after Victor gets the company back, gets the family over, everybody cheers, everybody's cheering Victor. You did it. I'm like, technically we wouldn't have been in this position if you hadn't have done what you did in the first place, but that's neither here nor there. Then he calls Lily over and makes good on his promise. He gives her Chancellor, which

Shocks Nick, because he's like, after all we've done to get our companies back, you just gave it to Lily. I believe the drugs had an impact on his memory, or Victor never told him and Victoria that the plan was for her to dupe Cane into thinking that her and the twins were kidnapped and in return she gets Chancellor. But of course, the two kids never thought he would follow through with that because Chancellor has been run and owned by whom? Nikki.

Miss, I got a headache every five seconds. And so now to seal the ultimatum that he gave Nikki, We can get back together and focus on our family and our business when we get it back, if you cut Jack out completely. He didn't even give her a chance to answer, although she did just leave after he gave her that demand. So

God forbid she comes back and is like, you know what? I love you too much. Jack's out of my life for good. Now he's already given away Chancellor and he can't take it back. There's no way Lily's gonna let him take it back, although she has lost it like 20 times. She turns around, gets the paperwork, and goes straight to Cane and is like, I got the company back, and he's like, Good for you. I knew you could. And she's like, And I'd like you to run it. And I'm like, girl, what?

You know Devon is not gonna go for that, neither is Nate, and you just put a bullseye on his back by Victor because he's gonna need to get that company back to give back to Nikki.

it really is that at this point, Devon's already side eyeing her and her decision making. Devon, they have made him like the ultimate hater. I need them to do, yeah, a better storyline. He is someone that we grew up loving and still do. But from the heat and smoke that he had for Mariah after, deservedly so, kidnapping Dominic to now.

Every time that Lily just smiles and twinkling her eye talking about Cane, he's like, I don't know why, why you even giving him the time of day. And even with Holden, yes, Holden started off wrong, but that's her half brother. let them live. And it's just like side eye and him while he's talking to Lily about Malcolm, who is coming back this week. and then it's just this whole thing of, okay, Devon.

You're doing all this hateration in the dance-ery while still trying to manage the articulettes and you about to be in a crossover. Like what's going on my guy? Smile.

I thought that

after he had his tete à tete with Mariah and got everything off of his chest, that he got everything off his chest. But the bitterness is still fueled. And I can't tell you why anymore. He just an angry man, and I don't know like you said, right now his focus on I'm wondering if Cane left. Like if for some reason Lily cut off from Cane and he just left town. Would

Devon still be mad. He just likes being mad right now. Yep.

That's true. Another one who is just randomly always popping up angry, Daniel. That hobosexual finally talks to his mother and again couldn't tell me, gun to head, what is Daniel doing aside from just playing his guitar Don't know. But he is warranted when he realizes, yes, Phyllis gave back Newman Enterprises.

but then he wants her to do with feeling and actually mean it. And you know your mother just like we know your mother. She doesn't think she did anything wrong. She was hella wrong, but she in her mind does not think she did anything wrong. And for him, it's like, it's not the fact that you actually gave it back. It's the fact that you don't understand why it was wrong in the first place. And it's like, sir, do you know who your mother is? You gotta know. And when...

her now spiraling because she has nothing, nothing, nothing. I don't know what else, like what else he could do. And if Phyllis isn't leaving town or on a vacation, then she's just persona non grata in GC. And she might be lower than Matt Clark, because at least without his memories, now that he has him back, he's not evil. People are like, you know what? He at least did save Nick's life.

They tried to give Phyllis that kind of courtesy, but she comes in too hot. She's always too strong with it. Even after getting the charges dropped, she has to point in the face of Cricket that you lost. Technically I won. I told you, should have believed me. Yeah. And it's like, take the victory and go. Just come on, Red. What's going on?

And I better not see Lauren hire her because yes, she needs a job, she needs a friend. She actually got one with Sharon, which is ludicrous to me because she gave her this pep talk. You go back out there and you do what you do best. I'm like, lie, cheat, steal? Don't encourage this woman. She needs to wallow and sit in her failure. We have let her get away with too many.

bad things too often. You failed. You failed. I'm sorry. It's what happened. And I'm with Daniel.

You only gave it back because your back was against the wall. You fired Michael three to four times in the last two weeks and he still saved your butt. Pro bono. He'd sure he didn't charge you a dime for all his legal advice. And you going to Daniel, I finally took your advice and I did it. No, you didn't. You didn't want to be in an orange jumpsuit. That's why you did it. If that wasn't on the table, you still would have been going around town bragging. I

right, so we have Hope, double agent. The rage I have for this situation knows no bounds. The fact that she is misleading the Forresters as in I just need a break, then I'ma come, you know, when you all have decided about Hope for the Future then I'll consider coming back. No, if you are on hiatus.

Taking a mandatory break because you're so traumatized by Steffy and Ridge's decisions, then you have no access to the building in my eyes. I don't want you going to anybody else. Your husband works for Spencer, your brother wants to be a designer, and you have Katie. I just don't feel safe with you being out in the streets with any information that we're doing for our next line.

But that's not the case. Unfortunately, the Forresters are oblivious to the possibility that Hope could be a liar and a cheat, even though she stole your company less than six months ago. Alright. So she signs up with Logan. She is officially on the payroll. She is going to do the new line called Hope Logan, because Hope for the Future is of the past. Okay, Chick. If it's from the past, then you should have cut ties like a dignified professional, as opposed to playing both fields. So she

also hooks up her brother Deke. Hey brother dear I've decided to walk away from Forrester because they don't know greatness when they see it. I am a design content creator, can't draw a lick, but my visions make a profound difference in the world of women that

I'ma do what I did for Hope for the Future for Logan. And I want you to do all the work. Okay? I'm on it, sis. You're a pillar to the female community. I'm like, all right, pizza boy, let's do this. And so he signed up.

So then you also have the return of Wyatt. Shauna was even like, hey, I want to get in on the ground floor of Logan. And she's in the opening credits now along with Wyatt. So is she coming back permanently? Don't know for sure. But she made her little pop-in when she dropped off Wyatt, who apparently did not have a car because he was getting it taken care of in the shop. And she's like, I used to run boutiques. What that got to do with running a fashion line? You don't draw.

You know how to ring up stuff, okay. I guess maybe you bought stuff. I don't know. Like, clothing that she thought would work well in her boutique. But that's not the same as creating a line. What would you do? I don't understand her purpose. But you have Wyatt coming back, he brings back the Hope Diamond.

And please break down your confusion about how the Hope Diamond has been handled now as opposed to when we first were introduced to it.

When we had this beautiful blue diamond, Hope for the Future was all the rage. It had security. He had to do, I think it was like a biometric fingerprint, had to sign contracts and digital signatures left and right. This time it came back in his pocket. Great little little pouch, but it was in his pocket nonetheless. And I just wonder.

through all of this grandeur, if we were trying to bring Wyatt back into the Spencer fold, was this the only kind of opportunity they saw? Having him the diamond and then try to plead his case of come on back home. Why? Well, because while dad has, it's a new softer, gentler Bill, you know, your consulting seem to be on hard times a little bit. And now we have even Will back. Why? Because RJ and Ridge,

fired him from Forrester Creations. And even our little brother is now working at Logan. Couldn't tell you what he's going to be doing, just like, couldn't tell you at Forrester Creations, but he'll probably get his six figure, seven figure salary. And through it all, I'm just like, well, we haven't got to check in on Wyatt I haven't heard what he's up to. Apparently him and felony Flo didn't make it. And I'm like, we can bring them back.

But is he supposed to be in the design element of Logan or are you trying to bring him back to Spencer Publications? Are we still even publishing anything at this point? Are we all?

seen an issue of Eye on fashion in years.

Couldn't

tell you, couldn't see the projections of the things that Bill had been buying. Look, too cheap to buy the fabric that, Eric wanted, but he got an open wallet and checkbook for Hope and her apparent needs. Again, I wanted a fashion house versus fashion house type of storyline and Logan, it has potential. I won't completely say.

what that potential is, but it has potential nonetheless.

La (26:14)
It's because it's an underdog because unfortunately they keep having Ridge and Steffy be oblivious to the possibility that some other fashion house could take

clients and attention away from them. Like the fact that Ridge tells Hope, ⁓ you know, Logan's gonna fail, so why are we even worried about it? And then Steffy says the exact same thing, but she kicks it up a notch with, not only is Logan gonna fail, we're going to show them how much they're gonna fail. You're telling this woman, Hope, trusting her, to not go tell her aunt, to not go tell Bill Spencer, to not share this with her husband.

Why are you telling them anything? Don't tell what power you possess as a fashion house. Show. The big problem with the Hope for the Future was that we couldn't give money and couldn't do the rollout for the next line because we needed to focus everything on couture. Well, you know who I haven't seen that we're doing this for? Eric. Eric should be nonstop, day and night. mainlining.

coffee to get his couture thing together. Everybody's working their butt off. Ridge and Steffy and Zende, all these people, RJ, are working on couture. Where are you, We wouldn't even be in this predicament if you didn't get in your feels and go to Logan on a whim and then realize you made a mistake and come back home. Now we have to play catch up and clean up your mess and you're nowhere to be found. Get in the office.

I'm done. I'm like, all these problems stem from him. So if you still got it, you don't want to be put out the pasture, you want to die with a design pencil in your hand, where are you?

Good point. Well, we know he ain't at Forrester Creations because the upheaval of Will leaving and Electra still kind of being oblivious to how creepy sometimes RJ can be about wanting to have the best for her. I root for Forrester Creations because of the legacy of it all. But I look at the day-to-day operations and I'm like, you got Miss Dylan doing perfume samples.

You got Electra who went from an apprentice slash assistant to the main jewelry designer, gonna be doing the necklaces and the pieces for a couture line we still haven't really seen put together because of what I saw RJ showing on the catwalk, it wasn't good. I hope that was just some fabric samples or something else. I saw, I was like, what in the Toga bed sheet was this?

in different colors, but again, neither here nor there. What I did appreciate is finally, Katie found the cojones, if you will, to be summoned to Forrester Creations thinking that Brooke had something poignant to say. Maybe I thank you or I'm proud of you or anything other than what we know Brooke is about. And she gave her like one last spiel of

Stop doing this. You know, you've already hurt Forrester Creations enough. What more do you want to do? You know, just say that you're jealous and Katie being Katie. you know, I love me some Heather Tom. She's like, you know what? I'll admit, I used to want to be like you, but not now. You are just low down. Basically should have called her slut from the valley, kind of like a la Stephanie Douglas Forrester. But no, but she did hit Brooke where it hurt.

by saying, only do you lack the social awareness, being a Forrester that you think you are, but even as a Logan, what kind of mother are you? Hope wanted her line and it was shelved. And you know what? Sometimes I wonder, do you even care about Hope? You know, I feel like Ridge is your destiny and Hope.

She's basically your stain after you took your other daughter's husband. Like what, how could you? That warranted a slap from Brooke and you know, Brooke, her slaps, I'll give it a B plus, B minus. It wasn't, you know, I gotta rate these slaps because again, Stephanie back in the day, that was a slap her around the world. Anybody get it? Her hands were rated E for everybody. Like, know, Liam got slapped, Ridge got slapped, Eric got slapped, everybody.

And then I put maybe Quinn, maybe, maybe second or third, cause Steffy, she can do a good slap or two when needed. I love when she backhanded Liam, you know, that was a good slap. But with this slap, it was a sister slap, if you will, even though it was a soap slap, it was a sister slap. And Katie's delivery of taking that slap was like, don't you ever, ever put your hands on me. This is basically war. And she was like, you know what? I just,

I don't know how to get through to you any other way. And I just hope that, you know, we can figure it out. And she's like, yeah, hope. Hope being the operative word. And I'm like, Lord, Katie, just keep it together because every so often I feel like, again, like a good villain. never tell the protagonist what your intentions truly are. You're wasting time. And she's like, mm-hmm, I love that word, hope. And it's just like, ⁓ here we go.

But this is going to be a lot more, I'll say, fuel driven to the fire versus even Eric. Because once the news of Hope not only leaving Forrester Creations, but leaving her line to pick up something anew at Logan with her brother, Deke, with the Hope diamond, all hell's going to break loose and I will be here for it.

I want it to be down and dirty because the fact that Katie just saying that Brooke is not a great parent warranted a slap. But when she finds out that Hope has signed up with Logan, that should warrant a punch. That should warrant an eviction. Hope, get your crap and get out of my house and take your raggedy husband with you.

And while Brook Lynn is trying to be the dutiful wife, her spidey senses are tingling. And Naomi's like, the fact that you even opened the door to Grayson, is it possible?

that you still have feelings for him and you just don't know how to deal with those feelings because you have the guilt over not giving Derek the opportunity for a second, technically third chance. And she has to sit with that because again, Ashley's just Ashley. And if she's not whining or moping, then she sits in confusion and that's what she's doing at the moment. That's life passes by, but hopefully she gets out this funk.

because if she's not with Grayson and if she's not hanging with Naomi, what are you good for? Like even Shanice is at work. Hell, even Eva has to, you know, have a lunch date where they reminisce about Derek. So there are other people mourning, but they're giving you a whole lot of grace to sit in your big feelings about the man that you didn't want but thought you possibly could be with.

Who better for Logan to try to get hooked up with than them to model their new stuff? But that's for another time, I guess. So we'll just focus on this one. Hopefully it works out and then I truly think we should consider a bold and the beautiful one.

Yeah, I feel like we had the possibility with that because it only phone calls. But we know down the line, even with Young the Restless, it could be like a triple crossover where, you you start at LA, Maryland.

And then it's like for the fashion show, it's like we have the couture and we have the jewelry, but we don't have the accessories beyond that. And then it's like a ChelseaKat bag. And then we also need Dani because here we're losing Hope. Again, call us.

attorney here in DC, Maryland and Virginia, all you gotta do is seduce him. And the best entryway is his oldest daughter, Naomi. Friends with her,

get in the house, do a little flirty mcflirty with Mr. Egomaniac, this younger woman because he doesn't really spend time with his wife because she's always traveling with their youngest daughter who's a model. So you get to see how she introduced herself to Naomi through a Pilates class. And then she's just like, I don't know anybody.

I don't know the area. This is a fresh start for me. And Naomi like, I'll help you. It's not a problem. And one thing leads to another. They become very, very close. She reveals everything that's wrong with her parents' marriage. And Hayley is just lapping it up with a spoon, more ammunition for her mark. And then she needs a job. And Dani being so kind is

Hey, any best friend of Naomi is a friend of the family. You need a job. Bill needs a paralegal. You are smart. You can learn. Dani initiated her getting a job there because she was sympathetic to her daughter's best friend. And that's when Hayley starts wearing, as she puts it, it's not inappropriate to have cleavage and a slit up to my thigh, is it? And of course Bill is like, absolutely not, girl. The other people dress like 50 and 60-year-old women.

You dress like a woman. So you get all of the information on how he was able to be seduced by Hayley. And then the worst part is when it's revealed to Dani that he is seriously into Hayley. They are thinking that.

Chelsea and Dani are on their way to a trip for the modeling and he's packing, they're getting ready to roll out. Hayley is in one of his shirts with no pants and is just walking around like she owns the place in their bedroom. Chelsea comes first up the stairs, catches them together, and she's like, What is this whore doing at my house? And he's like, Don't talk to her that way. He chastises Chelsea, and then Dan.

Dani

tries to come up and Chelsea tries to stop her, but she pushes past and sees this. And she's like, I put up with the waitresses, I put up with the paralegals, I put up with all these other women. And now you have the audacity to bring this woman into our home. And he's like, She's not just a woman, she's the woman I love. And you just see Dani gobsmacked by that declaration. And he's like, I'm leaving you. And to me,

Even though we've had to deal with Nicole thinking about Ted and Miss Anita's like I can see that both of you still have feelings for each other. I feel like audiences would be more accepting if unfortunately Shanice gets the shaft and Nicole and Ted get together than if Dani and Bill get together. Because Andre listened to

Dani going on about, hey, I brought attention to Bill that Mike was, a terrible person and that he never noticed. And that made me remember how much I tried and how Hayley took over my family and all of that. And he, It was not your fault. I love you now. Don't even worry about Bill. He's your past.

I know as an audience, as a viewer, I would not take seeing how horrific Bill was in dumping Dani, if she took him back, I don't know if I could accept that.

And he was in a funk because he does feel guilty and the fact that Derek died saving his life. And Naomi has been trying and trying to talk to him and let him know Derek did what he did because he believed in what you were as a cop and you can't feel bad about this. And he's like, I will not rest until any and all people involved in the impaler is taken down. That is my life's mission now. And so they have the thing, and he leaves the

event early 'cause he can't take it anymore.

Darlene does not like Eva. She has made it clear to Izaiah. He is like

But then Leslie busts in for no reason because she's feeling some kind of way because it's hilarious to me the fact that she's like, Eva, you all up on your dad. You all up on work.

You don't have time for me anymore. She's like, I'm doing what you asked. You brought me to town to get along with my dad. I helping the clinic because Derek is dead and you need somebody to run it. I am with Izaiah because you said I need a man in my life. Why are you complaining?

Because she has nobody. Malone is sort of dating her, but he's just hitting it and quitting it in my eyes. She doesn't have any real friends. Jan has, Ashley to deal with, so she really not hanging with her. Mona doesn't give her the time of day. So she's lonely. And Eva was, I brought you here to give you all this stuff.

Make sure nobody's allowed to get near. But of course, Vanessa walks in, no knocking, hears about the impaler meeting, is like, I want to be there. He's like, How many times I gotta tell you what I do, you can't always be a part of. It's just in your best interest and it'll keep you alive. So you are to go home. Randy, take her home and watch her. And of course, Randy doesn't. After Vanessa talks him out, she's like, I will stay here. You just go. And so he comes back and

Joey's like, Randy, I done told you. He's like, no, no, no. I got somebody assigned to her. Don't worry. So at the end of Friday's episode, the impaler walks in and we're convinced it's Heather. His sister is the impaler.
