La (00:05)
Hello, hello, welcome back. This is another edition of Lather Up with La. How are you doing, Queen?

Chanelle  (00:11)
And Chanelle.

I am happy and blessed between World Cup, between the RB tour, between life. Summary's good. How are you?

La (00:23)
I am enjoying the summer as well. I wish I could say the same about some of our shows, but that's another matter. All right. This just in news from the soap world. Jason Morgan finally returns after being arrested and taken by the WSB to a black cell. Thanks to Joss.,

Chanelle  (00:31)
Mm mm mm.

La (00:48)
He will be returning to Port Charles on Monday, July thirteenth. And his return is the same day as the milestone for General Hospital, right?

Chanelle  (01:00)
That is correct. Again, when we deal with General Hospital, we talk about the fact that there is what is it the hundred and thirtieth episode? Which episode did it? Sixteen thousand ⁓ my goodness, sixteen thousand. Where does the time go?

La (01:08)
No, sixteen thousand.

ABC's

longest running soap opera. So I guess to kick things off, Jason Morgan returns on that episode.

Chanelle  (01:26)
That is a milestone.

La (01:28)
Mm. And then Tuesday, July fourteenth, is the big awards nomination announcement?

Chanelle  (01:35)
yes, the daytime Emmys. We've already heard about the primetime, but daytime Emmy announcement for the nominations will be Tuesday, July 14th. And this is the first year that Beyond the Gates is eligible for some recognition. Fingers crossed that we get some great nominees in there. I'm talking costume and design. I'm talking actress and supporting actress. Colby Nixon, this might be her year because

Kat has been giving us all we needed in these last few weeks for everything that she's been dealing with.

La (02:12)
And of course Miss Anita with her BRACA gene and the breast cancer and all that. Yeah. that whole scenario had me in tears week after week. So hopefully we'll see those two ladies, if not the show itself, up for a nomination.

Chanelle  (02:15)
the cancer storyline. Yeah.

Yes, tomorrow Tooney.

Miss Tooney, we are rooting for you.

La (02:30)
Rooting. Alright, We're gonna start with Young and the Restless. They made an attempt to be exciting, but it kind of fell flat.

Chanelle  (02:39)
Look, Josh, this might have been the reason why you decided to put your remove yourself. I'm just saying.

La (02:46)
It might be. So the big caper this past week has been Jack got stabbed. Jack got found by Diane and Kyle in his home bleeding out. Diane and Kyle jumped to aid. They have to touch him so they get blood all over them. And at the same time, we have Patty upstairs in the Abbott home. She has slit her own arms to make it look like she was attacked.

By whom you ask? Miss Diane. She claims that Diane Abbott was so jealous of the fact that Jack decided that he no longer wanted to be married to Diane, but he wanted Patty back, that she escaped from being with Dr. Markham under his care because she had lost her mind apparently weeks before. And she came back to the house and

started slicing and dicing and ended up stabbing Jack and Patty just barely got away. So when Detective Burrows and I use that term loosely Detective When Gosh when he shows up, he's like, I've got questions. Everybody's a suspect. Then you're like, Really tho? Cause Patty's like, she's got blood on her hands. She's like, cause I

Chanelle  (03:49)
What did he deduce?

La (04:04)
fell to the ground to see if the man was still breathing. Nope, she tried to kill me. And so he arrests Diane and he takes both of them in for questioning, but she's charged with attempted murder. And luckily Michael Baldwin gets her out. But in the meantime, we've got Jack and he's in a coma and he's in critical condition and he's lost so much blood. He suffered internal bleeding, cause she gutted him literally, with the biggest butcher knife I've ever seen.

And he's touch and go and they don't know if he's gonna make it. And we've got Traci, and you know I can't handle when Traci is upset. She has come to the hospital and she's just so upset. And you've got Billy checking on Jack and everybody not sure that he's gonna make it. But then we have Patty realizing that what if he does?

If he does, he's gonna tell who really stabbed him. So she tells Doctor Markham, We in this together, my guy, and I gotta make sure that he don't tell the truth. So in doing so, I am going to kill him. Okay? So she apparently has gotten this drug I can't remember what it's called, ⁓ but it will cause a heart attack. Make it yeah.

Chanelle  (04:59)
Yeah.

Yeah, it started with a D.

La (05:28)
And she has a syringe and she comes in, and of course, nobody can just go and do the job. I gotta talk to you a little bit. I gotta tell you my plan. So she has somehow finagled a nurse's scrubs and disguised herself as a nurse, even though there is a guard outside of Jack's door. She gets in. She has a syringe. She has to talk to him. Why didn't you just listen to me? It didn't have to be this way. I love

You, but you pushed me to this point, and now Diane is gonna pay the price. So she's about to put the syringe in his IV when the security guard comes out of nowhere and is like, How's he doing, nurse? I'm like, What? Random security guard got questions about the patient. Okay. So she's like, ⁓ he seems to be okay, but she got rattled, so

She tries to leave the room, and that's when Kyle and Diane were coming back from the house because they went to change clothes, take showers, bring clothes for Jack in the hopes that he wakes up. And they just got back from the house and they catch Patty running out. Kyle didn't know who it was at first, but Diane knew instantly. That's Patty. She was in there. Check on your father. I'm going after her. And I noticed that now it seems like

The soaps are using more outside sets or different sets that we don't normally see because then they start running through the hospital, which was very cramped. Those those hallways was a little tight. Right? So we got Kyle running after Diane, who's running after Patty, and she's ducking and dodging and turning left and right. And finally Diane catches her.

Chanelle  (07:04)
Let me your production studios.

La (07:20)
Apparently she's a track star because Kyle was not. And so she has her hemmed up, got her hand on her neck, and is like, I should take you out for doing what you've done to me and my man. And she's like, you know, you would never be strong enough to take me down. And she had her like, up against the wall. And then Kyle comes up and he's like, Mom, let the security handle it. And in her distraction, Patty

Takes out the syringe and stabs her in the neck with it and injects her with the heart attack medicine. And she's, you know, falls out and Kyle is like, go get her security. I'm gonna take my mom to get medical help. And he carries her like ⁓ an officer and a gentleman.

Chanelle  (08:09)
I mean

really look, I peeped Diane's tattoo on her ankle. I said,

La (08:13)
Yes.

So he carries her to try to get her medical assistance. He finds a gurney, which was just chilling in the hall, puts her down. a couple of nurses come and they're like, What's up? luckily he was able to pick up the syringe. Or maybe Diane had it in her hand. They had the syringe and Kyle is able to tell them, My mother was just stabbed by the crazy lady who stabbed my father.

And this is the syringe she used. You gotta figure out what's in it because I think she tried to kill her. And they take her away. Traci was co trying to coax Jack to wake up and he actually did. And she's just so, you know, excited. But he's like, Where's Diane? And she's like, Well, they went home to change, they'll be right back. And then when she goes out to check on something 'cause she hears noise, she sees Diane on the gurney. She's What the heck is this?

And Kyle is like, Patty just attacked Diane. Hopefully she's gonna be okay, but it was the syringe that she was gonna use to take out dad. And, you know, they take Diane away. Luckily, she saved in time because they were able to figure out from the syringe what she was injected with. Meanwhile, they have to tell Jack what happened to Diane. So Ashley shows up, Traci's there, Billy has just shown up.

'Cause he got a call from Traci that Jack was awake and they have to fill him in and he's like, I gotta make sure that the police knows the truth of who stabbed me and that Diane lives. These are the only things that matter to me right now. And so Kyle is checking on his mom to make sure she's okay and finally she comes and everybody leaves, just Jack and Diane by themselves. And before that, the police

walk past Jack's room and Jack is like, Is that Patty out there? Bring her in here. And I'm like, that a thing? Wouldn't you just like take her away? But she let's do some parting words. So she comes in, she's like, Jack, this was not how we were supposed to meet up again. I wanted us to meet up again in the afterlife. And he's like, Whatever, you're done for. I'm telling everybody the truth that you really stabbed me. And she actually admitted it in front of Detective Burrows.

I only did it because I needed you to realize that you're supposed to be with me and not that Diane. So now we have all the evidence we need. There's an actual confession. She is still unwell and she needs to be put away. So they finally took her away. But she still left him with, I'll see you later. I was like, here we go. So so she has been taken away and

Chanelle  (10:50)
⁓ huh.

La (10:55)
Jack is on the mend, Diane is like, We've been through hell and back, but I still love you And he's like, That's all I need. Just that one little opportunity. So it seems like they've made up, but they know they got a long road ahead to get back to where they were.

Chanelle  (11:09)
For real. here's a little ditty about Jack and Diane. This whole month that we've had to deal with just the back and forth, let alone the previous weeks upon weeks of dealing with Patty and her foolishness, Diane and being like, I met ⁓ outside the house. I'm gonna be at the athletic club. That terrible crossover, where again, Josh, may I call you Josh?

If you had at least coordinated during those few days, those episodes could have been like, you know what? Let's talk. Let's rekindle something. Let's let's see where it goes. Even for putting on just a facade because we're about to go to Maryland together, and we want to make sure that Kyle and his friend feel like we're united front. Then it would have been more of emotionally based, let alone coming back from Maryland in a tornado and all of that.

Hoopla that happened in Fairmont Crest to having Diane kidnapped and us not seeing it on air. It's crazy work. But through it all, I give him credit because we were like, where is this going? How long is this supposed doctor gonna have her locked in his home, mind you? And with this happening and the whole week of just boom, from Diane being freed by her own accord with the power of sleeping pills and food.

To Patty stabbing Jack, to Jack waking up from the stab. Because I at first I was like, here we go again. It's gonna be another week of him in the coma. Nay, nay, no, he was actually up and talking and ready by Friday. So I commend you. Actually, I think it was probably Thursday. Either way, I commend him for that. However, entirely too long and then pulling other people into the foolishness. Christine, whoever the new writer is for youngand the restless, I need to say this: y'all gotta let Christine get a win. Cricket.

Has been one of the lowliest attorneys that you have. I mean, as the DA, her first case, if you will, has already been sidelined because she was just swore up and down the information that Victoria of all people gave her from Victor, the AI case, that hopefully will be buried along with whatever else was down that pipeline. She messed that up.

La (13:05)
I would not trust her with a parking ticket. She can't win ever.

Chanelle  (13:32)
Then she was about to mess it up again because she was like, evidence looks pretty solid from what Patty says. I'm sorry. she was your former sister-in-law. I'm like, you should know of all people what kind of crazy you're dealing with. And she's like, no, but it looks, it looks airtight to me. I mean, good luck, Michael. Who she had like a lunch or brunch, whatever with, had a meal with.

Over at the Athletic Club, while going over the case, I'm like, that's highly unethical. the things that we are supposed to suspend disbelief for, it it makes me wonder what what was going on in that writing room. No one raised a hand, no one questioned some of this stuff. And I'm still like, after all of this back and forth, what is Dr. Markham's whole point of being there? I'm like, if he's not Martin, now that we have Ashley back.

Then what was the point? Because now it's just someone else who's tied to Patty, who we know also probably deals or dabbles in some illegal activities himself, or at least must be infatuated, because again, he just swore up and down that Diane was falling for him and his wiles and whatever else. But other things were happening in Genoa City.

But even with that, I mean Nikki and counting steps and still being blind. Okay, that was heartwarming at best. I mean, really didn't even have that much with her outside of you her father and I talked about my condition, but you know, we haven't reconciled with anything else. Okay, so we left her at home, or at least Victoria did. Then we find then we find out.

La (14:50)
Yep, still blind.

That I was so thankful

there was a nurse there. I was like, is she really in this big old house alone?

Chanelle  (15:13)
Look,

look, even when Victor was like, Where's where were you here? Where's your mother? she's taking a nap. I'm like, You gotta say at least that the nurse is checking on her or she pushed me out the door. I was like, You have Victoria looking heartless like a mug. Then you have them discussing a family meeting again, out in the open. I would have definitely done that back at Newman Enterprises if that were me. Just saying. But then we have Nick and his feelings because it's like, I'm ready to get right back into it. You know, CO-CEO me and Victoria.

La (15:23)
Yeah.

Chanelle  (15:43)
Victor's like, hold up. While I appreciate what you've been doing, I'm gonna sideline that real quick because I need you to recover. Dad, I'm fine. Sir, again, Nicholas Newman, the sweats, the druggy outbursts that you still have. Go finish this rehab and recover. And so he's pouting and Victoria's like, What did I miss? And he's just like, You're you're the CEO. And she's like, okay. She's like, Well, you always have your job.

Point and starts drinking on that iced tea, Then you have Adam, and Adam's just like, What about me? Well, you're not CO- CEO, definitely don't have any Newman media, so what you gonna do? And then he dig to dig. Well, especially since you got rid of Chancellor too. I I just don't know where I fit in. We don't either at this point, so that'll probably be next week too.

La (16:35)
Because I think he thought

for a hot minute he was gonna get Arabesque, remember? and Victor was like, Nope, Phyllis got that one and you just see Adam crestfalling like, Really? You gave her that?

Chanelle  (16:39)

Nope.

Y'all act like that Arabesque was actually doing something. I thought you had dismantled it from the inside out. So again, what are you gonna do? I'm like, who's worse? Is it Billy or is it Adam? Because it's like for two men who have not had jobs for quite some time but can't tell us what they really want to do next, it's disheartening. And at least Billy has a baby on the way. As well as his mommy issues that still festered this week, but

I hope that he finds what he's looking for in London with Jill because that was a good what two to three days of just rehashing old things when it deals with the parenting that Jill had. At this point he just doesn't have a mother's love at all. Everything boils down to Chancellor and anything that has to deal with Cane. And through it all, you have Cane trying to find his brother some sort of

Position not only in Chancellor, he was handing out jobs like he was Oprah handing out cars. Okay, like you get a job, you get a job. And we had Billy finding research and development, go forth and conquer, to even Holden get a job. He was like, I was not expecting this. He's like, Well, you're Lily's brother, you worked well for me. I trusted you. It's like even when when Lily, I thought, you know, her and the twins were kidnapped. She's he's like, I'm not, I'm not bringing it up to rehash, I'm just saying, I'm like.

La (17:48)
Yeah.

And he just came for his breakfast.

But what killed me was he didn't do anything. He didn't find Lily Nam. He Yeah.

Chanelle  (18:19)
Did find that, didn't find what he was

supposed to be working on. I said, What did he ever come to r regards what we were trying to figure out with Victor? he was like the silent right hand man, especially after Damon died, but it was like I still couldn't tell you what he did.

La (18:37)
That happens so frequent with us, like, what do you do?

Chanelle  (18:39)
Look, Josh, can you can you

weigh that can you weigh in on that one? 'Cause I mean he again, right hand man. I I mean at one point I was like, is he just fake and loving Claire? Like, nope, that that turned out to be real, apparently. Then he was like, I was looking at offers in LA. Were you? I mean, you you

La (18:54)
I never saw

you you must have been calling or texting 'cause I never saw you leave.

Chanelle  (18:57)
No business trip.

Look, the last time you were somewhere close to LA, it was shadow room, and then you started having flashbacks and fears. So I'm like, my God, your mama is now in Genoa City. Where are you really trying to go? You know you have your sister here. Go on and pull up a seat and get this job. Still couldn't tell you what you're gonna be doing, but welcome to Chancellor. So yes, And I'm I miss.

La (19:18)
We'll work that out later.

Chanelle  (19:23)
Old Jill, but I still like this actress. okay, Jill is trying to hash that with Billy. But he was definitely giving terrible two tantrums after a while. But then we saw a bright spot with him being like, I'm gonna go to London to be with my mom for a few days. Hopefully you and Babybump will be okay. And Sally's like, go, just go. I I wish you well. Hopefully you can figure out whatever mommy issues you got.

She didn't say it like that, but that's what she was probably thinking. And from there, we're just trying to figure out what else is going on in Genoa City. Because again, if it wasn't dealing with Patty and her foolishness, if it wasn't Nikki and her blindness, and if it wasn't Cane just all love it dovey with Lily and Chancellor is thriving again, then what what was it? Couldn't even tell you really what Matt Clark was up to this week. But I'm like, ⁓ do I really mind? No.

La (19:49)
That's what she meant.

Chanelle  (20:16)
When Roger graces my T V set I enjoy it as well, but outside of him and Phyllis, I'm like I'm not really looking forward to that. I'm not

La (20:24)
At

all. Not interested in that at all.

Chanelle  (20:27)
See now, again, if he teams up with Cane, maybe you'll spark my interest again. I just wonder how we're gonna close all this out before the fall and before New Head writer. We're gonna miss Josh. No. Maybe. Let me sleep on it.

La (20:39)
Ha ha.

Yes, sleep

on that one. Okay, now we go to Port Charles where things are popping a little bit, and General Hospital. First off, Danny is a snitch. Danny snitched on his own brother Rocco, told Brennan, Brennan was like, didn't really

Chanelle  (20:57)
Almost.

La (21:06)
mean anything because as Chanelle has pointed out, people don't like to communicate and if he had just waited, he would have learned that Joss had already negotiated the release of his father. Then unfortunately, Britt finds out that she does not have I mean it's a good thing, but all that she's done because of this lie is terrible.

She doesn't have Huntington's. Not even a little bit. Which Dr. Chanelle and I had already diagnosed when we found out that she was rocking the Saline on the regular. But she has thought that she was dying for five years. And it was not true. So that was a blow. Even though Obrecht was elated to hear that one of her three children is going to actually live live. But

That also sent Lucas into a tailspin because he encouraged Marco to steal the drugs for Britt and help take down his father and it turns out that there was no disease for the drugs and the drugs weren't real. So in his mind he got Marco killed for nothing.

Chanelle  (22:24)
Yeah, murdered over seawater. Or or I should say saline. Okay, but yeah, it's salt water.

La (22:28)
Ha ha.

It was terrible. So he got mad drunk and I don't remember seeing that. I must have missed that.

Chanelle  (22:37)
You didn't miss it, which is again something Frank, we wish you would have shown him at Charlie's getting wasted.

La (22:44)
Okay. I'm glad. I was like, did I mess up? So he got mad drunk, so drunk in fact that I guess Rick and Elizabeth brought him home, which Rick was not pleased about, this drunkard on his girl's couch. And he woke up hungover and that's when he explained to Elizabeth the whole Marco situation and how he blames himself.

Chanelle  (23:09)
the guilt ate away at him, as well as his conversation with Joss, who at this point I don't understand how she'll ever be a WSB agent in Port Charles because everybody and a mama know And and it also includes Lucas, who is like, you know, as your uncle, I'm checking on you as you basically retry to recover from getting shot in the stomach. And then he was like, and I also know you're a WSB agent. She's you know, sorry about that.

La (23:21)
Yes.

Chanelle  (23:37)
He's no, no, I understand, but it hurts that you couldn't be real with me. And she's like, nope. And he's like, would you do it again? She was sure enough. And a heartbeat would do it because I'm a WSB agent. And she's like, I also feel bad because when everyone was telling you don't go over there to Wyndemere, I said, I told you, go on to Spoon Island. Why? Because as a WSB agent, I needed to infiltrate. And my uncle was the best cover. And he was like, in his mind, you're a monster. Sure is. But now.

⁓ I still need to let you know I'm gonna remain a WSB agent. And we know about Cullum. Again, if you communicate it, you could try to tell Joss, your WSB agent niece, what you had planned and everything with Cullum and what he was doing to you. But no, we just end on him being so sad and disappointed. But they're gonna try to rebuild a little bit of what they have because families never turn their backs on each other. Meanwhile, across town

You got Lulu and Carly going at it because Lulu in the dark for everything that she was willing to do to go on the run with Rocco, when she finds out that Lulu and Charlotte and Carly and everything that his dealing with Valentin and Lulu wasn't in the mix, Homegirl is upset to the nth degree. But I think it's hilarious because one of the things that Joss negotiated with Z.

Was Valentin getting all charges dropped, his freedom, and now that he is back in town and free as a bird, one of the first stops he made was to Lulu's house to say, I would like at least fifty fifty custody to have Charlotte back in my life. And she's like, I'm sorry, what? And it's like, you know, we discussed this. But before he even did that, his first stop from freedom was going to General Hospital.

And having this lovely romantic scene where Carly runs into his arms and plants one of the biggest passionate kisses in front of not only Lulu and Charlotte, but Sonny and the nurses and people out there in General Hospital. So if it's not dealing with Charlotte, who, as Valentin has said, and most people already know, I just need Lulu to embrace it. If it was up to Charlotte,

She would move in with her father and Carly in a heartbeat, let alone the fifty-fifty custody. Like everything was spilling out. Who could have told Danny? I told Danny. Why did you tell Danny? Because you were keeping secrets from me. Speaking of secrets, I had been talking to my dad. ⁓ okay. Like this is what we go. We just gon' if I'm gonna tell it, then I gotta tell it all. Like it and then it's like, yeah. Who helped you. Danny knew. Danny knew?

La (26:13)
Okay.

Then I gotta tell it all

Chanelle  (26:25)
Well, you couldn't have done this all by yourself, Carly. Like it was just less in secrets. And I'm like, where was all of this months ago, weeks ago at least? if you had all just talked it out. And I'm like, you saying a whole lot of stuff, Lulu, for someone who's about to go on the run with their other child. And I'm like, at this point, does the mayor know that her granddaughter has been on the run?

La (26:30)
Everybody was dropping dimes.

Chanelle  (26:50)
Did she was do they know that she was at Spoon Island? I don't know if they even realize that at this point yet. Like it many of things have not been said.

La (26:59)
I think it's hilarious. I feel like Joss should be wearing a button that says, I'm a W S B agent. Ask me how.

Chanelle  (27:07)
Wait, really? And it's like even without her knowing, because then it's like Lulu confronts Carly and Carly's like, Joss is a WSB agent. If you know how I feel about Joss, then you would know I would do anything. Because I don't want my baby getting shot. But look, she already got shot. And then Lulu's like, I don't want my child getting shot. And because she's with her father, she almost got shot. Well, almost doesn't count because my baby got shot. Like

La (27:35)
It was crazy.

And you know, like you said, Joss still wants to beWSB And she's like told her mom and her mom is like, This can't happen. She's like, it's happening. I'm staying. I'm staying in here. And if you don't like it, I don't want to lose you, but I'm willing to. the

ability of Joss now to just not care about anything but being a WSB agent is astounding. She's just like, I help people. I'm like, do you though?

Chanelle  (28:07)
Look, are we sure she's not a double agent? Because the way that she had her demands that Brennan, who has finally gotten out of his his dealings in the hospital or his rehab facility, can walk in, it's a miracle. It is like stops by and he's like, you know, what it I heard saw Valentin's out. He's like, I I'm guessing that's you. I did it. I, you know, I saw the what they said about Cullum being a hero.

Is that you too? Yes, it was me. And he was like, what are he was like, Valentin is a terrible man. I know. But he's not you. And I have plans. What are their plans? He says Valentin, who's like, thank you, I guess, for getting me out. I owe you one. What can you do for me? It's like, come closer. Go see Anna. What? Go see Anna. And he's you sent him one of the He's like, you know he loves Anna. She's like, exactly.

La (29:00)
So that way he can get away from my mother.

Chanelle  (29:00)
Him and my mom aren't gonna yeah.

She's like they're not gonna last. I just wanted to make it I'm like damn, Joss.

La (29:08)
She is moving the chess pieces like a master.

Chanelle  (29:12)
If you could just call somebody or text them and be like, Jason's coming home, that would be grand too. But I'm just like, okay, we just gonna let her have it. And the fact that she's not in the report, but now everyone thinks that Cullum died a hero and Cassius died a villain. Well, everyone except Obrecht because Liesel went over to Anna's house and was like, Look, we have to clear my son's name because he was a hero. He saved me, he saved Joss, he saved Carly.

And Anna was like, whoa there. I just got back from France. You know, it's just Suit Désole. I just need to let you know that I'm trying to get my bearings. And if you want to be real, last time I talked to Cassius, aka Nathan, he was lying to me. So why would you not think that I might think that he's a villain, just like his daddy? No, thank you. And Liesel was like, look, I I got I have to save him and his name and clear his name.

Meanwhile Cassius, is he's alive. He's alive. And he might be a WSB agent in the making too, because right now Z was like we could use you. And I'm like, well, what you gonna use him for? At this point, like everybody know you're dead again. So what's the point?

La (30:25)
Yes, and we all know who you really are. So again, what's the point?

Chanelle  (30:28)
Like like

he ain't coming back to Port Charles unless they're like, ⁓ he faked his death and you know, Cesar Faison is his son is just like is he going in the underworld? I don't know, but he's gonna be missed. I mean he Cassius is actually to me had a little bit more going because they always had Nathan being like Dudley Do right a little bit. So he was interesting. But now that we don't have that, what am I look to look forward to? Really don't know.

La (30:33)
Again.

Well, you can always deal with the Chase foolishness. Chase is still the cheerleader for Willow. So he is convinced that Michael at first did all the setting up and he even confronted Michael at the pool at the Metro Court.

Chanelle  (30:57)
Sidwell is still crazy.

⁓ I

Terribly.

La (31:18)
You are trying to set up Willow again. He's like, How are you here? I'm just trying to d relax, get my little suntan on Yes, and the Chase just can't ever let anything go when it goes to Willow. But eventually he sees Lucy Coe. and he starts questioning her. And he's like, You know, this evidence that you all of a sudden remembered

Chanelle  (31:26)
Yeah, dip in a pool like

La (31:46)
Where did that come from? I don't know, it just came to me. I've been following this case, so I had to tell my truth. And he's like, Okay, but

I also have a question about why you're now the majority shareholder of Deception all of a sudden. Well, Brooke Lynn took an evaluation and realized that I am more qualified since I did create the brand from the Giddy Up and that I should have more control. And he's like, That's so bizarre because

I'm positive that Tracy would never want you to have control again. I know, but it wasn't Tracy's call, it was Brooke Lynn's. And all of a sudden Chase's wheel started turning and he was goes and confronts Brooke Lynn, who's already got a tongue lashing from her grandmother, who was like, Hey

'cause Willow accused her of the whole setup situation. 'cause she went to a General Hospital board meeting and Tracy was already there. And she's like, What are you doing here? And she's like, Well, I'm here because I'm trying to get my program for kids done and ⁓ the hospital is helping me or something like that. And Tracy is like, Whatever. And

Tracy didn't even know that she had been pulled in for supposedly, you know, that she's a suspect in the Jordan Curtis made up crime. And she's like, ⁓ you can't keep your hands clean for nothing. And she's like, I was set up again. And I don't know why somebody is doing this, but somebody messed with my trip counter. And she's like, tracker, that it is, trip tracker.

Chanelle  (33:25)
And tracker.

La (33:28)
And she's like, I know who did it. It was you. You did this to me. And Tracy's like, Come on, I got better things to do with my life. But instantly Tracy knew that Brooke Lynn most likely was the culprit. And she goes and confronts her granddaughter and is like, Girl, what are you doing? You setting up Willow? I told you I had a plan. No, you didn't. You never told me you had a plan or else I would have stopped you from doing this.

Chanelle  (33:57)
And it was a

terrible plan. Again, she's like, I trusted Lucy Coe. It's like, say that again, real slow. Think about it. Like and I'm like, you have Tracy And the fact that Tracy was able to put it together so quickly, Brooke Lynn, I'm not even angry. I'm just disappointed because it's like you had that badass speech that Tracy just gave you about Quartermaine women and the legacy of generations upon generations of badassery.

La (33:59)
Horrible.

Chanelle  (34:24)
And you not only do a terrible plan, but then when Chase confronts her, she's like, It was me. I did it. I just did it to get your attention. I didn't mean for girl, are you really crying over a man right now? Are you begging pleading? how dare you set yourself up and be like, We have a daughter now. We're a family. He's your husband. You should have confronted him head on instead of trying to be.

You know, Holly go lightly with you know, Willow being around should find and then and then you break down, you know, she offered you a job and she just wants your claws. Ma'am, if you don't throw something, cuss him out, push him out the house, something like I just did not like how this went down. And all this to say, so you gave your shares to Lucy Coe for what? Because not only did she set this in motion, but she blew it up in your face because she told your husband the information.

That had him looking in your direction. I would take my shares back so quickly. Give me these shares back. No point needing them.

La (35:26)
Not just that.

What did what was Chase's reaction with her confession? So you did this to hurt Willow? She was like, I'm sorry, what out of all the things I said just now, pouring my heart out to you, that's where your mind went directly to Willow was hurt. You could ruin her life. And it's everything that everybody's told her. Tracy and Michael. Like your man has

Chanelle  (35:31)
You set up Willow?

This is our Marsha Marsha Marsha.

La (35:54)
one thing on his mind and it ain't you.

Chanelle  (35:57)
Well, and the way that you've been moving, I see why. Because you have definitely been a doorbat in this situation. And what was supposed to be your bright idea again, if you communicated with, I don't know, the better plotters in your family. Whether it be Sonny, whether it be Tracy, hell, whether it be Michael, maybe this would have come into fruition a little bit better. look, Michael plan's still in the work. Actually, Michael's plan is moving on schedule at this point because he

La (36:25)
He's doing good work.

Chanelle  (36:26)
And

didn't even have to lift a finger in this situation. And it's like, Brooke Lynn, Brooke Lynn, really? Really? You holding on to Chase this hard you lost shares of Deception for this? For this. Let her have ⁓ Because ⁓ the when he finds out that she's not only an attempted murderess, but at just as crazy as a lot of the others, that that needs to be Chase's comeuppance. Just

La (36:40)
Sure did. And let me

Chanelle  (36:56)
free him. If you free him and if he comes back, then you'll know. But free him and don't let him come back.

La (37:02)
Speaking of other crazies, Mr. Curtis. So it is revealed that Curtis has a plea deal on the table, but he'd have to go to jail for two years for assault. And he's like, if I go to jail for two years, I will miss the first two years of my new child's life. And Jordan and him are still convinced that Isaiah is the culprit that left them to die. But

The problem is now that Willow's a suspect, that takes some of the shine off of their spotlight on Isaiah. So their plan is to try to prove that Willow is innocent so that all the blame can go back to Isaiah, which again is wrong, wrong, wrong, because we know for a fact that it was Brooke Lynn who was drinking and driving and drove past. She's guilty of driving past.

Chanelle  (37:53)
Again, drink

drinking and driving, but you all are the ones who caused your own accident. Again, another storyline where we're doing a whole lot for you all just to be mad if it was someone who was just stopped. Okay, well now that Valentin is free of all charges, you're gonna say that he's the one who helped you? No? If not, shut up, Alvita Zane, gone to jail because you, sir, are ridiculous. And

And we as we continue with this, it's like everybody trying to help him and everything else. Rick is helping Isaiah. Martin, of all people, is offering legal advice to Curtis. Sir, go on and do your time standing on your head for that two to three years. And if not, Isaiah, wipe him out. I feel like whatever you want to get the Savoy, you want it, go on and take it because

La (38:46)
Ha ha.

Chanelle  (38:47)
I I just don't understand why they keep writing Curtis like this. It's not even just annoying at this point. It's just Yeah. I just don't see someone really moving in life like that. And I know there's probably a lot of men who would probably feel this way. ⁓ and yeah, it was wrong for him to talk about he'd be a better father. But Curtis has, he just chaps my behind. It's just it's like the smugness. It's

La (38:54)
It's frustrating.

Chanelle  (39:14)
It's just the look on his face where it's like, You sir, are wrong. You ya punched him once.

La (39:19)
Well, that's my big

concern. How are the writers gonna handle when the truth comes out he and Jordan have egg on their face? How are you all gonna handle trying to ruin a man's life and you were wrong?

Chanelle  (39:33)
And and that again, another comeuppance in store because you this is not gonna be another my bad. Just say that you're jealous that he's with your ex-wife. at least that would be understandable. This whole you were a doctor and you didn't help. One, he keeps telling you he didn't do it. Two, the evidence is not pointing to him. Three, maybe if you weren't kissing up on Jordan while I don't know she while she's driving in the dark, maybe you wouldn't have crashed.

My guy, you just ⁓ on all fronts, and the only good thing coming out of this is Trina finally seeing the light and being like, you know what? Both of my parents are terrible at this point. Let me get out of their business and live my life as she should because they want her to be a singer. I just want her to honestly, she could her and Ava could really just run the art exhibit or the gallery at this point. I just want her to be free of the foolishness.

La (40:27)
Agreed. All right, should we move on to the DMV?

Chanelle  (40:32)
Yeah, there wasn't anything else major in General Hospital beyond that, except my blinky mcblinker Drew. I just do need to say this. We went from Trina and Kai being the ones knowing that Willow shot Drew to all of a sudden we got nosy Elizabeth and worrying Lucas kind of becoming the Scooby Doo detectives of this situation and trying to figure out maybe it's an environmental issue or toxin.

La (40:42)
Okay.

Chanelle  (41:01)
That has created this scenario where Brennan as well as Drew are both being locked in syndrome and falling out with stroke like symptoms in the house. Even if that were the case, why go directly to Willow, who you know has been moving funny. I I didn't appreciate that, but again, Brennan's gonna stand ten toes down because I feel like him and and Nina are on this path to maybe a love connection.

Or just a thank you for saving my life after you almost killed me. Who knows? Either one. ⁓ but I'm like, we have so many people circling the wagons against Willow and she's still winning it. If if Elizabeth, the one who's supposed to be her friend, is the one to take her down, then I need her to actually lock in and focus. Because Brennan was like, Nope, that wasn't the issue for me. I, you know, touched something highly classified and with all WSB stuff. well. And she's like, I don't know. You know, with Drew, he's been

In the house and if it's a toxin, maybe that's why he's still locked in and Willow's like, no, that that couldn't be it. Who knows? well, still don't have the communication boards, but he was able to blink enough that a detective was able to get a search warrant. But again, we we mm questions, Frank. Just a few questions. That's it. But now you may go.

La (42:22)
DMV. ⁓ the big to-do this past week on Beyond the Gates, we have the deposition of doctor Madison who is being sued by someone who

follows her mom's blog and her mom has falsely claimed that Madison is one hundred percent behind her remedies for everything from fever to this and that. And one of the people who look at her blog her child almost died from a fever because she gave them ginger and

something else that you can find in your pantry. And so Bill and Naomi have to do the deposition against the former employee Mike who was

Kicked out because of his sexual harassment allegations. And he is just convinced that he's going to take Madison to the cleaners. He's going to ruin her reputation. What she did was she allowed her mother to use those supposed testimonies as opposed to getting a cease and desist. Like he's just gunning for Madison, like just peppering her with questions. And then it's Bill and Naomi's turn. And of course, that's Bill is the

lead lawyer, he's asking the questions. But he's having trouble. He's stumbling and he's mis saying things and he keeps stuttering and apparently after months on months of drugging every beverage that that man tried to drink, it looks like Hayley and Randy's

concoction is finally kicking in for real.

Chanelle  (44:19)
A broken clock is right at least once, if not twice a day. I mean sure.

La (44:26)
So they have to stop the deposition to the point where even Mike was concerned, Hey, we can do this, you know, another time. Do we do I need to call a doctor? Do I need get somebody? And I think they end up taking him to the hospital. And the best part of course, to the side you have Hayley, please God, not again And then you see her look up like anybody n anybody believe that? Anybody like did I pull that off well?

Chanelle  (44:54)
It's like, no, you didn't. And why is you here? Like it's like you don't got no papers to file?

La (44:58)
I don't know. 'Cause they already had

a stenographer, so they don't need you to take notes.

Chanelle  (45:02)
It's like, you

know, I'm here for moral support. Are you though? Are you? Okay. I at least give them credit because Randy, aside from being Randy, pulled at least one good thing off this week, which was connecting with Deanna. And Deanna has her own issues. She's still seeing Doug, casket sharp Doug, because he's a ghost. But now instead of just

Going in on her mother. Now she's trying a different approach with Vanessa. Now she is gonna be all rainbows and sunshine and girl power and all this other stuff. So she wants to work side by side in the real estate business. And her mom's like, Yes, my daughter, welcome back to the fold. I love you, my twin, my angel, my favorite daughter because you're my only daughter. Yes.

And with that, you have Joey being like, mm-mm, I don't ⁓ this is this is not what it seems. I'm peeping this, I don't like it. Randy, did she know you? Did she he was like, you know, I used to hang out with Doug, but d can you connect with her? I I can yeah, I can do it. And he actually did it. Did he really get to the nitty gritty? No. But at least she thinks she has somebody in her corner. Now I feel like she's gonna flip out when she finds out that he works for Joey, but but but

La (46:27)
One hundred percent.

Chanelle  (46:28)
We haven't gotten to that part yet. So at least she was able to open up and talk about just missing her dad and the moments she wished she could share and how, you know, when things happen, she wants to call him and even Randy was like, Yeah, you know, I see a funny meme or a post and he's one of the first people I think about sending it to, but then I remember and she's like, Exactly. And that's why I need to just be there for my mother. And, you know, ghost dad is like, Yep, that's how you do it, honey. This is how we're gonna get her.

La (46:57)
Ghost Dad

Chanelle  (46:58)
Away from Joey

La (46:58)
That is the new name from now on, Ghost Dad.

Chanelle  (47:02)
like this, and it's but it works because right now one of her first assignments was as her assistant. She didn't even call. I'm like, technically, she a intern. I don't know how how much weight she's gonna pull around, but nepotism met its finest, and she admits it, was helping Kat get her new condo. And we have to go into this because why does she need a new condo? Because after Tomas and that lousy proposal.

She said no, but she wanted them to move in together. But even that back and forth was a no because he's like, I don't want to be a kept man. And I'm like, sir, who said you were gonna be a kept man? Like you could at least pay half on these bills. Like you didn't have to completely say no. So I feel like we're back at square one, but this is something different.

La (47:45)
Well, actually we're gonna

do a probationary period. he's gonna go to Puerto Rico to visit his family 'cause he already obligated himself to that and he was supposed to take Kat but she's not allowed to travel post surgery. So when she gets back, I think he said that they'll try to live together in the new condo for a month and if it works out, then he'll make it permanent.

Chanelle  (47:57)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah, because he was just like, I need to pay some bills and be a man and provide for you. Yeah, like it was like nobody said you couldn't. And like i again, if anything, this should be a new start for both of them. Because at first he wanted to move in and she said no. And then it was like, I'm going to the grands. Like, this is like your starter home, if you will, but it's your starter condo. And you could have just voiced that. And before he got figuring that out, where did he go? Eva.

La (48:10)
Believe me, bruh, I got a list. You can do it.

Chanelle  (48:37)
You went

over there, and at least her and Kat have some sort of truce because he comes there. At least he again came with a gift, not an edible arrangement. You know how I like those, but at least the gift However, the book that he gives her, sis already has that. Why? Because her new boo actually can read and got her the book and is in her book club for two. And not only have they read it.

La (48:59)
No.

Chanelle  (49:04)
But he's like, I've read all the books. He's You you like this part of the book? And Tomas, I I actually haven't read it yet. So you just thought your gift was gonna hit. And not only does she already have the book, but she's already read it with her boo And he was like, I just, you know. And she's like, What is it? Yeah, you came here. Me and Kat. She's like, You ain't gonna give me for no booty call. he was like, Whoa, whoa, you're my only friend. You're the only friend I can talk to about Kat. I'm like, sir, I need you to.

Make some more friends. Maybe you need to go to the basketball court and head out at the country club again. Because if the woman you slept with who is still the half-sister of the woman you're dating, and they're not a hundred percent copacetic, but at least you could say that Kat has part of her liver and Eva and vice versa, you know that at least gives them something of we are in a truce right now.

Why are you going to her? And she was like, Does Kat know you here? No, maybe I should tell her you think. Again, maybe let's try pre versus post interview with Eva, but you know, baby steps. But his heart was hurt because he tried that lame proposal right after Kat just got out the hospital. One, he told everyone, ⁓ you know, I'm gonna pick her up.

Had Kat thinking that nobody cared. And it's like, how dare you do that to our Princess Katherine again? But whatever. Then you try to interrupt the patriarch of the family, Mr. Vernon Dupree. Thinking, I was like, son, you could at least let Mr. Vernon finish. Then it's like, Kat, you know, we've been through so much. I love you. Will you marry me? Everybody looking, and she's like, Nope. Nope. Tucker.

La (50:31)
couldn't believe he did that. I couldn't believe it.

No I ver w it was worse than that because she was like, Let's talk over here.

Chanelle  (50:49)
Yeah, nope.

I was like, that is the the sentence with period post blank nothing else need and he was just so hurt. I'm like, one, you hijacked an event that was supposed to be for her as a welcome home. Two, you didn't just aside from the ring, you it was in front of all these people who if you really are a good lawyer, you should read the room and catch the vibe. Chelsea could have been being a hater, but she really was trying to let you know that I don't think Kat would like this.

I don't think Kat's ready. You asked her parents and they're just like ⁓ huh ⁓ huh you know, man to man, mister mister Richardson, I would love to take your daughter's hand in marriage. He's like I don't know you ready for that. After you slept with my other daughter, right? I apologize for that, sir. ⁓ you know, but this is this really affected me. Affected you Kat giving up her liver. Okay, all right.

La (51:21)
Yeah.

Chanelle  (51:44)
And then having to to deal with all this, and she's just like, no, I'm just I'm not ready yet. We we still have things to work on. Things were going good. Why why can't we just flow? I thought that's what most men wanted. It's like, mm-hmm. Okay. So everybody saw him get shut down in the first place he went after cutting off contact with Kat for a day was Eva. Sir, don't don't don't bring this foolishness to our doorstep. You better find you a new friend.

Bumble, bumble friends. Better go to DuPont. Better go somewhere in the district and and find a look a s a futbol club or something, like something.

La (52:22)
Yeah, don't you have any people you watch the World Cup with?

Chanelle  (52:25)
Something because if we have to deal with him every time there is an issue in their relationship, him popping up at Eva's door, I don't want it. And even Izaiah was looking at him like, Mm, like this look, I got this on lock, but he let him stay, and you know, of course, Eva welcomed him in at first, but then she had her little conniption. But I liked it. Sometimes you need to pop off, pop off and show them just in case. But I was like, Sir

La (52:36)
What you doing?

Chanelle  (52:52)
You you barely register. It's like when you're doing well, it's usually when you are in the corner standing there, not speaking. Like I don't need you trying to do these grandiose ideas like popping up proposals while she's still recovering. one on one dinner, rub her feet. Try to, you know, bring Japan to her since she can't go to Tokyo. You know what I'm saying? Like you you're doing too big. You're thinking too big and still being small nonetheless. So it's like ⁓

La (53:20)
Yeah.

Chanelle  (53:20)
Why?

Why must we? Speaking of why must we, the most lackluster medical condition reveal and diagnoses, Naomi. We've had to deal with you and Ashley tag teaming this, knowing the truth about your BRACA gene diagnosis for months. The way that this just kind of fell in the lap of you being like ready to tell.

You got Jacob back and it's like, baby, I just want, you know, some good loving, good food and no medical talk because Miss Anita had her surgery. And she's like, Okay, babe, okay. Goes to her mom. Mom, I just need to let you know. What is it, my you know, sunshine, apple of my eye. I have the gene too. What? I I lied. I just didn't want to, you know, burden the people in the family when we had so much going on. And of course, in doing this.

Now Dani feels bad. And it

La (54:19)
Well, Dani

also felt bad anyway. She was projecting because she was like, Sometimes people do step out on their spouse. She was like, What?

Chanelle  (54:27)
What?

She's like, that that's not what I was saying. I mean, I I did look omission by by not telling the truth, but damn, I'm like, wait a minute.

La (54:35)
Yes. But then it was funny because it made it worse because Naomi goes, I'm not like Dad, I'm like you. I would never cheat on the man I love. I was like, ⁓ girl, that hurt. That one hurt.

Chanelle  (54:43)
Never ever ever. Never ever ever.

She needs to bury these feelings deep down because even through this, it's like she lashed out at Andre because he was like, Look, now that we know that Naomi has like, you know, what about you? What you know, how are you dealing? She's like, you know, I'm eating my vegetables, drinking my water. ⁓ I ain't doing nothing else. She's like, I am a body. He's like, but I love the person that's within the body. He's like, she's like, I am a body. I am a model, damn it. And he's like,

La (55:03)
Ha ha

Chanelle  (55:13)
Okay. She's like, you know what? I gotta go. I gotta go with somebody who understands. And at first, honestly, I thought she might have gone to Bill. I thought she was gonna spill the beans. Luckily, she went to Ash and was like, I know. And she's like, You know? I know about Naomi. And they had their moment. But I'm just like, again, through all of this, it was just so randomly just kind of dropped in the laps where it's like, I guess because with Miss Anita.

La (55:19)
Going to Bill. I thought she was going to Bill.

Chanelle  (55:38)
Having her surgery and things are, you know, she's she's feeling a little bit better. Love the short hair on her, by the way, just randomly. my gosh, just fabulous. But yeah, so I guess with her, you know, feeling better, Kat in recovery, Eva's in recovery. It's like all was almost all is well that ends well, but it wasn't. And she was like, you know what, now is the time to drop the bomb. And still hasn't told everybody. Just it's at this point, it's just Ashley.

La (55:44)
⁓ it looks so good.

No

Chanelle  (56:07)
Danny and Jacob and Ashley was like, and don't tell anyone the family. She's you know, Dani's like, it's gonna be hard, but I'm gonna try. Cause you know, Naomi said the same thing. But I'm like, okay, are we gonna have a family meeting for this? Are we gonna do it? Look, are we gonna do it over a family dinner? You know how I love a good family dinner where people communicate. ⁓ but it just it was lackluster, but I'm glad she got it off her chest. But now I'm just like, ⁓ goodness, because she was almost late to the deposition.

La (56:25)
I know. Right.

Right. She almost missed it. It Jacob had to tell her.

Chanelle  (56:36)
Like Jacob had to tell

her. Yeah, Jacob had to tell her. And I was like, Girl, I need you to still lock in for your future sister in law because I feel like if it Yeah, look, if Bill Bill might be going on to glory, and if not on to glory, he's at least gonna be gonna be at Garland. Look, glory or garland. Pick a pick a side. So that's that. And then I know you don't care about them, but the teenage angst.

La (56:46)
She gon' need your help. Now that dad is messed up.

Not the glory Yeah one of Yup.

Chanelle  (57:04)
I guess we've had graduation. We they they went on the family trip, didn't even get to see it in the Bahamas. well, Tyrell, you know, Mr. He's tat tat tatted up now with the J talking that I did it for June. Everybody like, so you did it for Jessica? You did this J for Jessica? I'm like, it's at least it's a letter that made sense. You could have said Jesus for all you wanted to, Tyrell. Everybody gonna think it's gonna be Jessica because she put it on you. But it's like, hey, it it it looked

La (57:18)
Okay. Okay.

Chanelle  (57:31)
It looked artistic, as Kat said, so I'm like doing that. Go forth, young man. And he's trying super hard to still get Jessica to stay, so that is what it is. You know, at this point, Samantha, she is the diamond deb, if you will, platinum, if you wanna be nasty. No, he is the platinum deb, so she's, you know, doing her post and still a ChelseaKat model ambassador and all this other stuff. So that was nice. ⁓ through it all the

La (58:00)
Do have one complaint.

Chanelle  (58:03)
Which one? Look, it gonna be Kat and Martin? Which one? What are we talking about? What's complaining? Go ahead. Again, you know how we feel about the congressman. Martin, I feel like he used to kick rocks with no shoes on. But if Kat's gonna forgive him, I'ma stand by yeah, I'll I'ma stand by my homegirl because that's her brother. But I don't like how she had to come to his door and be like, I wanna apologize for my role.

La (58:05)
That's it. Kat and Martin.

I guess we have to consider it. We have to consider it.

Chanelle  (58:31)
If anything, why was he at the grand's house with flowers for you, ma'am? Like again, your big brother has a lot of growing up to do. And he probably needs to talk to a therapist because the way that he lashed out, yeah, the way he lashed out, I said, that's not he's done it before. He had a lot to say. Yeah, he started to feel a little bit guilty, but I'm like, not guilty enough. Because, sir, if the words that you said, if a if a journalist had picked up on those,

La (58:44)
Not his mama.

Chanelle  (59:00)
before the election, I would be I don't know if I give you my vote. Like you are mm. That's a just just mm.

La (59:06)
Gotta do better, sir.

He gotta do better when it comes to his sibling.

Chanelle  (59:10)
And and even though we know they they've made up, I'm like, okay, like how long is this gonna last? What what what's she gonna do next to make him lash out again? Because he he he's always one one word away from just blowing up. And and with that, we also gotta figure out what's gonna be happening with Smitty, because Smitty is like, Am I gonna be ⁓ a husband to stand by my man, or am I gonna be the journalist trying to get me a Pultizer.

La (59:30)
⁓ yes.

Chanelle  (59:36)
And figuring out because that was random, but I appreciated it. Where his his series of what happened with the plasma ring has been doing very well in the DMV. And they were like, Yeah, but with your husband's campaign, we hear he might try to be a senator, you know what? And he was like, you know, that's off the record. She's like, Is it is it really gonna be off the record in no comment? Because as a journalist, you know, but I'm thinking, like, ma'am, we know a lot of journalists.

La (59:55)

Chanelle  (1:00:05)
Who are married to not only politicians, hell, other journalists. Like you you can't always be the one spilling the secrets. This does not have to be. Yeah, like he's not the he's not on the politics. He is trying to break up plasma rings. Like let that man live and try to nominate him for this journalist award. Like let him be free. So

La (1:00:15)
His assignment.

And Leslie is apparently trying to be better. But I don't believe that for one second. She asked for the recipe from Izaiah and Jacob's mama, Miss Darlene, on her baked potato soup. And somebody had me cracking up online because it was like, Doesn't Leslie live in a in a hotel? What kitchen she cook?

Chanelle  (1:00:35)
Mm.

Yep.

She about to break into Eva's kitchen.

La (1:00:55)
I guess she has to use Eva's kitchen. But yeah,

she was doing that. And then she talked to Mona and Jan and seemed like, you know, I've changed now that my baby was allowed to live. Thank you for praying for my Eva. And you still see Mona giving her that side eye. And that's why Mona is my girl, cause she's like, I am not gonna ever take my foot off your neck when you did Nicole and me dirty.

Chanelle  (1:01:16)
Mm-hmm.

Don't do it, not yet.

La (1:01:25)
Yes.

And she went over to the police department and wanted to talk to Malone, but he wasn't there. So she was trying to get information about the new chief of staff, ⁓ Shanice's aunt.

Chanelle  (1:01:38)
She for staff, yes.

La (1:01:41)
'Cause she's like, I've already dealt with a chief of staff who was a criminal. I can't do it again. And Jacob was like, Well, I don't know anything, so you need to figure this out on your own And she did go and Shanice's aunt tried to pull a okie doke. She was like, We're cutting all ties with your clinic and instead of going off and showing herself, she was like, This clinic was meant to help the community and we need Garland's help to do so. And

She goes, it was the chief of staff was like it was just a test and you pass for now. But I still got my eye on you and try anything funny and we will let your little clinic go. So ⁓ like I don't believe Leslie's changed. I think for the moment she's feeling grateful and appreciative that her daughter is still breathing, but something will cause her to revert back to type.

Chanelle  (1:02:38)
Yeah, and don't do lazy writing be of just, she's seen the error of her ways and now she's good. No again, if she's gonna be the villain, be the villain, but also we gonna keep an eye on her because she still has crimes to pay for.

La (1:02:52)
She does.

Chanelle  (1:02:54)
That's all I'm saying.

La (1:02:55)
That's say it with your chest. Now last but not least, Bold and the Beautiful You weren't that bold this week. We have Brooke done ran off to a spa to try to center herself after the letdown by her daughter and her sister. Uh-huh.

Chanelle  (1:02:58)
Yeah.

Mm.

Namaste.

La (1:03:19)
And then you have Will, who cannot control his hands. They're E for everybody, mostly RJ, but RJ crossed the line yet again.

Chanelle  (1:03:27)
A

La (1:03:32)
So Electra still upset about seeing the Hope Diamond and all, you know, having her line put on hold and woe is me. And she just tells Will, I can't stay here because you should have told me and he shouldn't have because that was trade secrets and we don't do that. But these children and some of the grown people don't understand that.

And she's like, I'm leaving. And he's like, you can't leave me. You can't leave me. We just got back together. I love you, girl. I love you. And RJ comes out of nowhere. And he has left Forrester for the evening. And he's like, you heard her first off, if you don't lock your door.

I done told you. See what happens? This is what happens when you don't lock your door. Crazy wannabe Electra boyfriends come busted in talking about she said what she said, let her go. And Will is like, get out of my house. And he's like, Not without Electra. And Will wails on him, beats him like he stole something again.

Chanelle  (1:04:14)
Mm.

He did, your girlfriend.

La (1:04:41)
Starting

I'm starting to question if this man has any fight in him. Cause every time you turn around, Will sucker punch me. Was it a sucker punch or can you just not fight? I'm just asking for a friend. I'm asking for a friend. Yeah. ⁓ he could we can definitely take a hit, but can you give one? Could you give a hit once in a while? Anyway, in his broken state.

Chanelle  (1:04:54)
Take the punch. Take the hit.

La (1:05:07)
Electra picks him up, this big old boy who's twice her size and carries him, you know, lets him lean on her so she could get out. She was like, How dare you? And she rips off her own jewelry that she made for her and Will and throws it at him. He's like, I ain't even make this. What do we do?

Chanelle  (1:05:25)
She's like, you know what it symbolizes.

La (1:05:27)
Yes, and so she carries RJ away. And our boy, Will, goes out and he's kicking over stuff in the front yard and he drops to his knees and he screams Electra Like what? STELLA!

From Streetcar named Desire. We were like, What? This is somebody's on the internet they were like, That's a little dramatic, ⁓

Chanelle  (1:05:54)
It's like I be like, honey, the kid in Malibu he's yelling again. Like

La (1:06:01)
Somebody must have broke up with him.

Chanelle  (1:06:03)
okay, Will. And I just love that like after this dramatic scene the next morning, you got his mama coming over. I heard, baby. I'm so sorry. And then all of a sudden even his dad comes over. Hey, I heard you punched. Look, dressmaker junior, what's going?

La (1:06:10)
I heard baby.

Yes,

I was done with dressmaker junior. I was like, he just making up names now. He was like, I'm the dressmaker now. It's like, okay. But then he provokes Ridge because Ridge is like, This can't continue. And he goes over to Spencer and Bill just taunts him, taunts him. Don't be mad, cause our little company is like kicking your butt. And lo and behold

Chanelle  (1:06:26)
It Yeah.

La (1:06:43)
Ridge takes him and sucker punches Bill. And it's like, that's for my son. Cause he could have killed my son. I'm like, he probably could have, but that's because your son don't know how to, you know, bob and weave. That's all you y'all should have taught him. and Bill says, Got him. And I'm like, does that mean got him? You gonna sue? Because Ridge said, I should have pressed charges. And Bill literally said, that would have been a bitch move.

Chanelle  (1:06:55)
Yeah.

La (1:07:11)
I think Bill's gonna make that bitch move and sue Ridge for assault.

Chanelle  (1:07:16)
Well look never everyone just calm down with your litigation until you figure it out. But I mean he really did mess it up though, 'cause he shoulda he should have just kept his hands to himself.

La (1:07:20)
Yes. Yes.

He yeah, you I mean it's been twice.

It's been twice. So you should have known better. But I have to point out that Ridge talks to Electra and he gives her the whole we're montagues, they're capulets, we don't mix. So you need to cut off Will at the knees. You can't be with him anymore. It's just not gonna work. But he is doing the exact same thing that him and Brooke

went after Ivy about you are meddling where you shouldn't be meddling when it comes to these young adults. They'll figure it out on their own. Maybe you should take some time off because this is not your place. Well neither is Ridge telling Electra that she shouldn't be with Will. She shouldn't be with Will, but if I were Ivy and I came back it's like, is that what we're doing now? We doing this now? We breaking em up?

When I did it it was wrong. When you do it it's for the company.

Chanelle  (1:08:26)
I just feel like it's like Electra baby, I don't know what else to tell you. I was like, you are not ready for this type of relationship. I don't know if you should have given like like I don't like as I was telling my cousins in the real life, it's like you all

La (1:08:34)
We done said it so many times. They're not up for this. You're not up for this.

Chanelle  (1:08:43)
Just sometimes I feel like when they talk about snowflakes, I'm like, y'all wouldn't survive the era of MySpace when if you change somebody in your top five, everybody knew that you were either beefing or there was truly a problem to be had. Because it's like, you know, Will might sneeze and it's like you sneezed the wrong way. I can't believe you didn't tell me what you were allergic to. I can't trust you. This is how we have to end it. And it's like, girl, if this is what it is on a good day.

Without his baby mama who died trying to keep hold of him, then I don't know outside of espionage and fashion secrets how you gonna survive when stuff really starts to get tough. And if you feel like technically your cousin RJ, or at least last name, cousin once removed, whatever, it it's like if that's who you wanna be with, fine. But you also have this man jumping.

Up and down, yelling at the sky for you when you are hurt and and giving all your secrets away to RJ. And it's like, ma'am, if the shoe was on the other foot, you wouldn't want him doing that with Dylan. And right now you are leaving an opening. So I need her to stop being like, I love you. No, I'm stop saying I love you because y'all don't know what love is at this point.

La (1:10:02)
They sure don't.

But who is still in love? Sheila. Sheila still loves her some Deacon. And Deacon and Taylor are up in the motel six rooms where Deacon lives above Il Giardino. And she just busts right in. And they are making out on the couch. And they're like, what is happening? What are you doing here? I knocked, but y'all were apparently too preoccupied to hear it.

Chanelle  (1:10:08)
Yeah.

⁓ she left.

La (1:10:33)
Let's talk about these divorce papers that I will not sign until Taylor goes to her daughter and tells her that I need to be in my son and grandson's life. And Taylor's like, I can't go to my daughter. You know how she feels about you. And she's like, Well, these papers ain't getting signed till I get some progress reports. So sorry. And Deacon pleads and

Sheila is like, Can I have some time with my hus I'm sorry, soon to be ex-husband in the home that we shared that you have now taken over? And Taylor's like, I'ma leave. I'm I get it. I'ma go. So she goes and Deacon pleads with Sheila. He's like, I never meant to hurt you. I didn't see this coming with Taylor, but now that it is, we both need our freedom. Just please, please sign the paper. And she's like,

Taylor is not holding up her end of my negotiations. And he's like, I know what you want, but I can't guarantee Taylor can give it to you. How's she supposed to convince the woman that you shot and you shot her husband and you shot her grandmother and you've tried to kill her own mother? Like that's a lot to forgive. I'm so sorry. But I think if you sign those papers, we can start anew. She was like, Well, where am I gonna go? What am I gonna start anew with?

I won't have you. You think that I want to start over. I don't. He was like, I recognize that, but just I need you to sign them papers. And she does. Shockingly, she signs the papers, gives them to him. He thinks they've hit the jackpot. And what does she do? Goes straight to Finn. Now, Finn is at the hospital, but before that, he's talking to Steffy And Taylor, when she leaves, she goes to the office where Finn is with Steffy. And first off, I have to say this.

Steffy was wearing what I thought was a negligee. I thought she was gonna have a little mid morning delight with Finn at the house. And then she goes to the office in said negligé dress, but keeps the trench coat on the whole time. So I don't know if she forgot she was in a nightgown or what but that's what it looked like to me.

Chanelle  (1:12:30)
Mm-hmm.

She's like, I am the co CEO What you gonna do? Who who gonna check me, boo?

La (1:12:54)
Who gon' check

me? I am fashion. So Finn leaves the office to go to work. And Sheila hops right over to the hospital and is like, look, I signed the divorce papers. I'm a changed woman. I'm better than I've ever been. And that's why I need you and Hayes in my life. And Finn is buckling. We

Th we can't act like we didn't see it coming. 'Cause when it comes to his mama, he waffles so badly. And he's like, I see I see that you have changed. I think you are a good person. Now I love you.

Chanelle  (1:13:30)
Sure does.

La (1:13:38)
And she's like, that's all I needed was an inch. Okay, let's go tell your wife. I need to be like at every, you know, family dinner, I need to be on family vacations, I need to be down. And he's like, Good. Like it's like he don't see that he's opening floodgates for this to ruin his marriage. But you gonna learn today, sir.

Chanelle  (1:13:59)
He

really is. And I'm like, out of all the times to have Sheila supposedly changed, which we know she really hasn't, she's just masking the crazy until she really needs it. I I wouldn't been mad about old Sheila rearing her ugly head again if that's what it would cost. Because now I'm like, why y'all still got me rooting for Sheila? But I know I'm gonna root for Steffy because it's like you ain't gonna shoot me and think I'm gonna pull up a chair for you at family dinner. That's not gonna happen.

But I also feel like Steffy needs more smoke for Taylor. She's told her mom how she feels. But the whole point of her saying she didn't want her with Deacon has come to fruition. And now that Sheila has set her sights on Steffy and Finn and Hayes, you know, at least at this point Kelly is free. But then again, her daddy is acting like a butt. So maybe she she might be in the crosshair too, because I mean, hell, you know.

Sheila saved her life too. It's like at this point, everyone is now like, we're free of Sheila. Where it's like, no, you're about to be revved up with Sheila now because she has nothing. She can't go to Il Giardino That's embarrassment. You know, you haven't left her anything else. Hell, she has a roommate. So now her time and energy is all gonna be focused on trying to reunite with her family. And it's like y'all done did it now. And if that's the case, ⁓ Taylor.

La (1:15:23)
Well

Chanelle  (1:15:26)
I'd have some choice words for you.

La (1:15:28)
Steffy did point out my favorite line of last week. She was like, You are a psychiatrist and you should know better. You got me questioning. I was like, There we go. There we go. Thank you for being concerned that your mother might not have all of her ducks in a row.

Chanelle  (1:15:48)
Look, as someone who has faked a death or two, even if she wasn't the one who did it, maybe this is not the person with your broken heart syndrome to be trying to treat other people because yeah, you violated many of laws. If that's the case, I wouldn't even mind Sheila doing that route. Did you call the board on me? Sure did. I sent my man there to get fixed and helped and hear you done stolen from me. Yeah. I I wouldn't be mad with that.

La (1:16:13)
Mike I'ma mess up I'ma

mess up your license. Yep.

Chanelle  (1:16:16)
Take your credentials. Nanny nanny

boo-boo. What you gonna do? Do like again, I I'm waiting for it because I I love the the the heat between the fashion rivalry and the sibling rivalry going on for the main storyline. But this Deacon and Sheila and Taylor and Finn and ⁓ I I want it, but it needs to be done properly because again, I don't just need Sheila popping up and

you know, breathing heavy outside the doors. I need to make sense.

La (1:16:49)
feel like that storyline is kinda like a merry-go-round. Like we keep going in circles with it. S Sheila's, you know, acting crazy or she's not acting crazy. she accepts the fact that she's not allowed in Steffy and Finn's life. I need it more than oxygen right now. Like everybody knows Taylor, we've told you in no uncertain terms that if you get Deacon, you gotta fight Sheila.

She looks changed. I'm like, mm-mm. No. What are we doing? I'm with Steffy. What are we doing?

Chanelle  (1:17:24)
Yeah, it's gonna be interesting 'cause now Steffy has to deal with her marriage, has to deal with Sheila, has to deal with her mama, and she has to deal with Hope and her foolishness with House of Logan. So rest well, drink your water, stay hydrated and and pray. I don't know.

La (1:17:36)
It's a lot.

All right, do you have any expectations or hopes for the upcoming week?

Chanelle  (1:17:50)
my hope is just seeing the word of the day being momentum again for Beyond the Gates. I was glad to have new episodes this past week. However, they didn't land for every single episode, but the momentum's there. They've gained a lot of followers since the crossover, and I'm just hoping that it remains this way as we get some nominations for daytime Emmys

La (1:18:16)
I love that Young and the Restless has tried to give us a little bit of action, but I'm gonna need more explanations this coming week. You need to tell me what the heck Dr. Markham, how did that come to be and Patty better go to jail forever.

Ever ever, ever, ever. I want her now that Jason on General Hospital is back from the black cell, send Patty there. Yes, 'cause she can't handle regular prison. Regular prison ain't enough. And not a shrink, not a psych ward. Regular, plain old fight for your life, learn to make a shank, prison. Yes.

Chanelle  (1:18:40)
Go ahead, look.

Okay, Steinreck.

La (1:18:56)
I'm tired of her. She seems to be able to walk out of every mental hospital you send her. So we need click link. Let's do the click link for a while and see how that works for her. Yes. Alright, that concludes this week's episode of Lather Up With La. Don't forget to subscribe and we gon' be watching them stories because we do it for who?

Chanelle  (1:19:07)
Bye bye, Patty.

And Chanelle.

We do this for you, said

La (1:19:21)
Every week.
