Welcome to Selah—a sacred pause in the noise of life.
I invite you to find a quiet spot, free from distractions, where you can fully focus on God’s presence.
As we move through this meditation, engage your heart and mind—visualize the scriptures, let the words take root in your soul, and repeat the prayers.
 Close your eyes.
 Take a deep breath in…
 Exhale…
"Quiet my heart, Lord. Help me to be fully present with You.
I rest in the knowledge that You are here, shaping me, molding me, and completing a good work in me."

I take a slow, steady breath.
In my spirit, I imagine myself walking along a quiet, dusty road.
I am tired. My shoulders are heavy. I’ve been carrying more than I can hold—expectations, pain, responsibilities, regret.
Each step feels harder than the last.

Then, in the distance, I see a man standing—gentle, strong, and full of kindness. He is waiting for me.
I recognize Him instantly. It’s Jesus.
He opens His arms and says:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

I stop walking.
I close my eyes and hear the words again, more personal this time:
"Come to Me… I will give you rest."

I drop the bag I’ve been carrying. I don’t need it anymore.
I walk toward Jesus, and as I do, I feel the weight begin to fall off my shoulders.
I am not being asked to fix everything—only to come.

I sit beside Him.
 I breathe in His peace…
 I breathe out my exhaustion.

In this quiet moment, there is no pressure to perform.
 Only the promise of rest.

I begin to pray deep within:
"Jesus, You see the heaviness I’ve been carrying.
You know the burdens I haven’t spoken aloud.
The tiredness I try to push through.
The disappointments I hide behind a smile.
You don’t turn me away. You say, 'Come.'
So here I am. I come to You."

I breathe in deeply.
I feel His presence surround me like a blanket of peace.
Not rushed. Not loud. Just near.

"I lay down the burden of trying to do it all.
I lay down the burden of pretending I’m okay.
I lay down the burden of being strong all the time.
I don’t need to carry what You’ve already offered to take."

Another deep breath in...
I picture Jesus lifting the weight off my heart.
 Replacing it with stillness.
 Replacing it with rest.

"You don’t ask me to earn rest.
 You offer it freely.
 Because You love me.
Because You know I need it."

I breathe in deeply once more…
As I inhale, I breathe in peace, gentleness, and divine compassion.
As I exhale, I release heaviness, exhaustion, and striving.
I anchor my heart in these truths:

"Jesus invites me to come to Him."
 "He gives rest without condition."
"I don’t have to carry this alone."
"In His presence, I find peace."

Breathe in…
 Hold…
 Breathe out…

"Today, I will come to Jesus with honesty.
Today, I will rest in His grace.
Today, I will stop striving and start surrendering."

Another deep breath in…
 Hold…
 And slowly exhale…

"Thank You, Jesus, for Your open arms.
Thank You for seeing my tiredness—and welcoming me anyway.
 I rest in Your love.
I find my strength in Your presence.
You are my peace, my shelter, my rest."

Until next time, I will stay in Your presence and let hope overflow.
 Selah.
