đź’¬ Reflection:
What part of today’s meditation spoke most deeply to your heart? Share your thoughts - we’d love to hear from you.

Hello, and welcome to Selah.
I invite you to find a quiet spot, free from distractions, where you can fully focus on God’s presence.
As we move through this meditation, engage your heart and mind—visualize the scriptures, let the words take root in your soul, and repeat the prayers.

Today, we’re reflecting on Philippians 4:6–7:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Anxiety tries to control our breath, our thoughts, our peace.
But this scripture reminds us that peace isn’t something we have to create—
 It’s something God gives.

Let’s begin.

Close your eyes.
Take a slow, deep breath in…
 Hold…
 Exhale slowly…

"Quiet my heart, Lord. Help me to be fully present with You.
I rest in the knowledge that You are here,
shaping me, molding me, and completing a good work in me."

I take another breath in…
And as I exhale, I picture myself standing beside still water.
 It’s calm. Smooth. Reflective.
There’s a quiet breeze and the soft sound of water gently lapping at the shore.

In my hand, I hold a stone.
It represents all the anxious thoughts I’ve been carrying:
 The fear.
 The worry.
 The heaviness.

I open my hand…
And I toss the stone into the water.

It makes a ripple—then disappears beneath the surface.

I breathe in…
 And hear the words:
â€śDo not be anxious about anything…”

I pause.
 I listen deeper.

“…but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

I see myself kneeling by the water.
I begin placing my concerns before Him—one by one.
And as I do, I feel a shift in the atmosphere.

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding…”

It’s not something I can explain.
 But it’s real.
And it begins to settle over me like a soft blanket—guarding my heart, calming my mind.

Breathe in…
 I give You my worry.
Breathe out…
I receive Your peace.

"Father, You know everything I’ve been anxious about.
You see every thought before I speak it.
And You invite me to bring it all to You."

"So here I am—bringing my worries, my fears, my burdens.
 I release them.
I place them in Your hands."

Breathe in…
 Trust.
Breathe out…
Tension.

Breathe in…
 Stillness.
Breathe out…
Stress.

"Thank You, Lord, that I don’t have to understand it all.
I only have to trust the One who does.
 Guard my heart.
 Guard my mind.
Fill me with Your peace that surpasses understanding."

Take another deep breath in…
 Hold…
 Exhale slowly.

Let these truths anchor you:

"God’s peace is guarding me."
"I don’t have to carry anxiety—I can give it to God."
"In every situation, He hears me."
"His peace is greater than my understanding."

Breathe in…
 I am not alone.
Breathe out…
I am at peace.

"Thank You, Lord, that I don’t have to live in fear or anxiety.
Thank You that You welcome every prayer—
 Every messy, anxious, desperate request.
 And in return…
 You offer peace.
A peace that makes no sense to the world,
But makes perfect sense to my soul."

"Today, I choose to breathe deeply.
 To trust fully.
To rest completely in Your presence.
Thank You for guarding my heart.
Thank You for calming my mind.
 You are my peace."

Until next time, I will stay in Your presence and let hope overflow.
Selah.
