Hello, and welcome to Selah.
I invite you to find a quiet spot, free from distractions, where you can fully focus on God’s presence.
As we move through this meditation, engage your heart and mind—visualize the scriptures, let the words take root in your soul, and repeat the prayers.

Today, we’re meditating on 1 Peter 5:7:
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

Anxiety can feel heavy—
 tight in the chest, racing in the mind, exhausting in the body.
 But Scripture invites us to release it… not to suppress it, but to cast it—to hand it over to a God who deeply, personally cares for us.

Let’s begin.

Close your eyes.
 Take a deep, slow breath in…
 Hold…
 Exhale gently.

"Quiet my heart, Lord. Help me to be fully present with You.
 I rest in the knowledge that You are here,
 shaping me, molding me, and completing a good work in me."

With each breath, imagine yourself holding a heavy backpack.
 It’s loaded with anxious thoughts, fears, what-ifs, burdens you weren’t meant to carry alone.

You feel the weight pulling on your shoulders…
 but in front of you stands Jesus.
 He looks at you—not with disappointment, but with deep compassion.

He opens His arms and says:
 â€śGive it to Me. I care for you.”

You slowly slip the backpack off.
 You feel lighter.
 You breathe deeper.
 You hand it to Him—fully, completely.

And as He takes it, He doesn’t flinch.
 He carries it with ease.
 Because He is strong. And He cares.

Breathe in…
 He cares for me.
Breathe out…
I cast my anxiety on Him.

"Father, You see what’s weighing me down.
 You know every anxious thought—before I even speak it."

"You’re not distant from my worry…
 You invite me to cast it on You.
 So I do that now.
 I let go of the burdens I’ve tried to carry on my own."

Breathe in…
 Release.
Breathe out…
Surrender.

Breathe in…
 Trust.
Breathe out…
Fear.

"I trust Your care.
 I trust Your love.
 I believe that I matter to You—not just the big things, but the small ones too."

"So I let go, and I rest in Your arms."

Let these truths anchor you today:

"God cares for me—fully and faithfully."
 "I can cast all my anxiety on Him."
 "He is strong enough to carry it."
 "He is loving enough to want to."
 "I am not alone in my struggle—He is with me."

Breathe in…
 His care.
Breathe out…
My worry.

"Thank You, Lord, that I don’t have to carry anxiety by myself.
 Thank You that You care—
 deeply, personally, consistently."

"I release every burden into Your capable hands.
 I trade my fear for peace.
 My heaviness for rest.
 Thank You for loving me so well."
