Hello, and welcome to Selah – a sacred pause in the noise of life.
I invite you to find a quiet spot, free from distractions, where you can fully focus on God’s presence.
As we move through this meditation, engage your heart and mind—visualize the scriptures, let the words take root in your soul, and repeat the prayers.

Today, we’re reflecting on Matthew 4:19:
â€śCome, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

The call of Jesus is simple yet life-changing. He invites us to follow Him—not just with our words, but with our lives. And as we walk with Him, He gives us a greater purpose: to shine His light and draw others closer to His love.

Close your eyes.
Take a slow, deep breath in…
 Hold…
 Exhale slowly…

"Quiet my heart, Lord. Help me to be fully present with You.
I rest in the knowledge that You are here,
shaping me, molding me, and completing a good work in me."

I take another breath in…
And as I exhale, I picture myself standing by the water’s edge.
The waves lap against the shore, steady and unhurried.
The horizon stretches wide before me—an endless invitation.

In the quiet rhythm of the sea, I sense His presence drawing near.
Jesus approaches, His voice calm yet powerful, cutting through the noise of my thoughts:
 â€śCome, follow Me.”

I look down and realize I’ve been clinging to nets—
nets of fear, of ambition, of distraction, of control.
They’ve weighed me down, entangled me, kept me from freedom.
With trembling hands, I drop them, letting them fall into the sand.

I step toward Him, heart open, eyes fixed on His.
Each step feels lighter, as if the burdens of this world lose their grip.
I leave behind what is temporary,
 choosing instead what is eternal.

“Come, follow Me,” He says again,
â€śand I will send you out to fish for people.”
His words are both a calling and a promise—
a life of meaning, a mission born out of love.

Softly, I whisper my response:
 â€śYes, Lord. I will follow.”

I may not know every step that lies ahead.
I may not see the full path.
But I know the One I am walking with.
 His presence is my direction.
 His love is my mission.
His voice is my anchor in the waves.

I breathe in… Jesus calls me.
 I breathe out… I respond with faith.
With each breath, His nearness steadies me.
With each step, His grace carries me.

And so I walk forward—not alone, never alone—
but with the One who calls, the One who leads,
the One who makes all things new.

Breathe in…
 Jesus calls me.
 Breathe out…
 I respond with faith.

"Lord Jesus, You call me to follow You.
Not halfway, not with conditions, but fully.
I surrender my nets—everything that holds me back—
and I say yes to Your invitation."

"Thank You for giving my life greater purpose.
Thank You that following You is not just for my own sake,
but so that I may share Your love with others."

"I breathe in obedience…
 I breathe out hesitation.
 I breathe in Your mission…
 I breathe out my comfort."

Let’s take another deep breath in…
 Hold…
 Exhale slowly…
Speak these truths over your soul:

"Jesus calls me to follow Him."
"My life has purpose in Him."
"I will lay down my nets and trust His leading."
"I am sent to reflect His love to others."

Breathe in…
 Calling.
 Breathe out…
 Fear.

Breathe in…
 Purpose.
 Breathe out…
 Doubt.

"Thank You, Jesus, for calling me to follow You.
Thank You for giving me a purpose bigger than myself.
Help me to walk faithfully in Your steps,
to leave behind what holds me back,
and to live a life that points others to You."

Until next time, I will stay in Your presence and let hope overflow.
 Selah.
