What part of today’s meditation spoke most deeply to your heart? Share your thoughts - we’d love to hear from you.

Hello, and welcome to Selah – a sacred pause in the noise of life.
I invite you to find a quiet spot, free from distractions, where you can fully focus on God’s presence.
As we move through this meditation, engage your heart and mind—visualize the scriptures, let the words take root in your soul, and repeat the prayers.

Today, we’re reflecting on John 14:27 (NIV):
â€śPeace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

These words remind us that His peace is steady, unshakable, and eternal. It is not dependent on my circumstances, my feelings, or the chaos that swirls around me. Instead, it flows from His presence—a gift that cannot be taken away.

I do not have to carry the weight of worry. I do not have to be ruled by fear. His peace settles over me like a gentle covering, guarding my heart and my mind.

Close your eyes.
Take a slow, deep breath in…
 Hold…
 Exhale slowly…
"Quiet my heart, Lord. Help me to be fully present with You.
I rest in the knowledge that You are here,
shaping me, molding me, and completing a good work in me."
 Let’s Begin.

I take another slow, steady breath in…
And as I exhale, I imagine myself standing in the middle of a fierce storm.
The winds howl around me, sharp and unrelenting.
Waves crash against my feet, pulling at my balance.
The sky above is dark and heavy, and everything feels unsettled, overwhelming.

My heart beats faster as the storm rages on, but then—I see Him.
 Jesus steps into the scene.
He doesn’t shout above the storm.
 He doesn’t need to.
With just His presence, something shifts.

The winds begin to soften.
The crashing waves settle into gentle ripples.
The heaviness in the air lifts, replaced with stillness and calm.
The storm that once surrounded me loses its power because He is here.

In that moment, His peace fills the atmosphere around me.
It is not the fragile, temporary peace the world tries to give.
 It is unshakable.
 It steadies me.
It surrounds me like a shield.
It seeps into every part of my soul.

And I whisper in the quiet:
 â€śLord, I receive Your peace.
 Guard my heart from trouble.
Steady my spirit when fear tries to rise.
Let Your peace, not the storm, rule over me.”

Breathe in… His peace.
 Breathe out… my fear.

"Father, I thank You for the gift of Your peace.
A peace the world cannot give or take away."

"When my heart feels troubled,
remind me that Your Spirit is with me.
 When fear presses in,
help me remember that Your peace is stronger."

"I surrender my anxiety,
my doubts, and my restlessness into Your hands.
Fill me again with the peace of Christ—
 steady, faithful, unshakable."

I breathe in Your peace…
 I breathe out my fear.
 I breathe in Your love…
 I breathe out my worry.

Let’s take another deep breath in…
 Hold…
 Exhale slowly…

Speak these truths over your soul:
 "Christ’s peace lives in me."
"My heart is steady in Him."
"I am free from fear and worry."
"His presence is my unshakable peace."

"Thank You, Lord, for the gift of Your peace.
Not as the world gives, but as only You can give.

When life feels overwhelming,
remind me to rest in the stillness of Your presence.
 When fear rises,
help me to lean on the peace You freely give.

Guard my heart,
 steady my spirit,
and fill me with the confidence that I am safe in You."

Until next time, I will stay in Your presence and let hope overflow.
 Selah.
