💬 Reflection:
What part of today’s meditation spoke most deeply to your heart? Share your thoughts - we’d love to hear from you.
Hello, and welcome to Selah – a sacred pause in the noise of life.
I invite you to find a quiet spot, free from distractions, where you can fully focus on God’s presence.
As we move through this meditation, engage your heart and mind—visualize the scriptures, let the words take root in your soul, and repeat the prayers.
Today, we’re reflecting on John 1:14–16:
"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth… Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given."
This passage reminds us that Jesus—the eternal Word—took on flesh, lived among us, and revealed the Father’s glory. He came not only with truth but with abundant grace, and through Him, we continue to receive grace upon grace.
Let’s Begin.
Close your eyes.
Take a slow deep breath in.
Exhale slowly.
"Quiet my heart, Lord. Help me to be fully present with You.
I rest in the knowledge that You are here,
shaping me, molding me, and completing a good work in me."
I picture myself walking through a small village in ancient Israel. Dust rises beneath my feet. I hear children laughing, water being drawn, the steady rhythm of life all around me.
Then I see Him.
Jesus walks the same dusty road I’m on. Close. Present. His steps stir the earth just like mine. When His eyes meet mine, compassion settles over me—steady, understanding, kind.
I remember the scripture:
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.”
Here, in this moment, I feel it. God chose to come near. To walk our roads. To carry our burdens.
As He speaks to the people around me, I see His glory in His gentleness, His healing, His truth. Grace flows from Him… not once, but again and again.
Grace upon grace.
And in the quiet of my spirit, I whisper:
“Jesus, thank You for drawing near. Thank You for walking with me and filling my life with truth and grace.”
"Father, thank You for sending Jesus, the Word made flesh.
Thank You that He dwells with us, revealing Your glory.
Thank You for the endless supply of grace upon grace.
Help me to see Your nearness in my daily life.
Help me to walk in Your truth and rest in Your grace.
Let my life reflect the fullness I have received in Christ."
Let’s take a deep breath in…
Hold…
Exhale slowly…
Now another deep breath in…
Hold…
Exhale slowly…
Speak these truths over your soul:
"Jesus came near so I could know God’s heart."
"God dwells with me—I am never alone."
"His glory is full of grace and truth."
"Out of His fullness, I receive."
"My life overflows with grace upon grace."
“Thank You, Jesus, for coming near.
Thank You for bringing truth and grace into my life.
Help me to live each day aware of Your presence,
rooted in Your Word, and overflowing with Your grace.”
