đź’¬ Reflection:
What part of today’s meditation spoke most deeply to your heart? Share your thoughts - we’d love to hear from you.
Hello, and welcome to Selah – a sacred pause in the noise of life.
I invite you to find a quiet spot, free from distractions, where you can fully focus on God’s presence.
As we move through this meditation, engage your heart and mind—visualize the scriptures, let the words take root in your soul, and repeat the prayers.
Today, we’re reflecting on Psalm 121:1–2 (NIV):
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
This scripture reminds us that our help does not come from people, possessions, or our own strength. It comes from the One who created the mountains themselves, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Let’s Begin.
Close your eyes.
Take a slow, deep breath in…
Hold…
Exhale slowly…
"Quiet my heart, Lord. Help me to be fully present with You.
I rest in the knowledge that You are here,
shaping me, molding me, and completing a good work in me."
I take another breath in…
And as I exhale, I picture myself standing at the base of a mountain.
It rises high above me, strong and unmoving.
I feel small compared to its height,
yet I am reminded that the One who formed this mountain
is the same One who holds my life in His hands.
I lift my eyes upward.
The vastness of the mountain points me to the greater vastness of my God.
I whisper:
“Where does my help come from?”
And my heart answers:
“My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.”
When I feel weak, He is my strength.
When I am overwhelmed, He is my refuge.
When I cannot see the way forward,
I remember that the One who carved the valleys and raised the peaks
is the One who walks beside me.
Breathe in… His strength.
Breathe out… my weakness.
Breathe in… His help.
Breathe out… my fear.
Each breath anchors me deeper into His care.
"Father, I confess that too often I look to the world for help—
to people, to plans, to my own efforts.
But today, I lift my eyes to You."
"You are my Helper,
my Refuge,
my Maker and my Keeper."
"I release my burdens into Your hands.
I trust that the same God who holds the mountains in place
also holds me steady."
I breathe in Your help…
I breathe out my worry.
I breathe in Your peace…
I breathe out my striving.
Let’s take another deep breath in…
Hold…
Exhale slowly…
Speak these truths over your soul:
"My help comes from the Lord."
"I am never without His strength."
"Heaven’s Maker is my Helper."
"I walk in His peace and protection."
Breathe in…
Strength.
Breathe out…
Fear.
Breathe in…
Help.
Breathe out…
Helplessness.
Breathe in…
Peace.
Breathe out…
Anxiety.
"Thank You, Lord, for being my ever-present help.
When I lift my eyes to the mountains,
I remember that You are greater still.
You are the Maker of heaven and earth,
the Keeper of my life,
and the source of my strength.
Help me to rest in Your presence,
to trust in Your help,
and to walk in the confidence that I am never alone."
Until next time, I will stay in Your presence and let hope overflow.
Selah.
