Astrology isn't just about signs and symbols, it's a tool for navigating real life. Hello and welcome to Astrology with Alisa. I'm your host Alisa Dixon, and I'm so glad you're here. Let's dive in.

You guys, this weekend was peak Uranus in Gemini. Absolutely peak.

Sunday especially. Because on Sunday, Mercury moved into Gemini first thing in the morning, and by the end of the day had crashed right into Uranus. These two planets together in Gemini, that's straight up brilliance. It's electric, fast, but also a little chaotic, like your brain moving faster than real life can keep up with.

And by the end of the weekend, I was simultaneously inspired, impressed with myself, slightly annoyed, and completely unsurprised by the chaos unfolding around me. And honestly, the whole weekend felt like that. Brilliance with a side of chaos.

This weekend was all weekend soccer. Lily had a tournament and Will had two games. And by Sunday night, nobody felt like cooking. But we’d already eaten fast food all weekend long. So we decided Subway felt like the healthier choice of all the fast food options.

We also needed groceries for the week. And honestly, my brain was fried. The thought of trying to make a list and figure out dinner and grocery shop and manage all of that by myself was just not happening.

So I piled both kids into the car. I told them they were helping me. And honestly? It was kind of brilliant.

The kids picked out what they wanted for lunches and snacks for the week. When it was time to leave, I put Will in charge of ordering Subway from the app while I did self-checkout. And Lily bagged groceries.

Now this is important.

A few months ago, Will accidentally ordered to the wrong Subway location once. Like another city. Hours away.

So this time he very carefully double checked the location with me. And then double checked again. I said yes. That’s the right one.

As my hands were full with groceries, he held my phone up to my face for Face ID to complete the payment and place the order.

And honestly? I was pretty proud of us. I thought, look at this. This is growth.

I usually try to do everything myself. But this time everybody had a job. We were efficient. We worked as a team. Dinner was on schedule. We had food for the week. I was feeling good.

And honestly, that actually WAS a really good expression of Uranus energy. Doing something familiar, but doing it in a new way. Breaking routine, but in a smart way.

So we leave the store, load all the groceries into the car, and drive across the parking lot to Subway.

The kids ask if they can just run in and grab the food while I sit quietly in the car.

Um yes please.

You kids want to give me a few glorious minutes alone? Absolutely yes.

I’m sitting there feeling very accomplished. Very organized. Very efficient. Ready to go home and eat.

And then the kids come back out.

Hot. Confused. And empty handed.

This Subway did not have our order.

At this point we’re all hangry.

And honestly? I already knew exactly what had happened.

I just slowly shook my head and handed my phone to Will so he could check where it went.

Mind you, he checked the location. Twice. And so did I.

This should have gone smoothly.

Nope.

Our sandwiches were 300 miles away.

We tried calling the far away store to transfer the order to the one right in front of us.

Not possible.

We tried canceling in the app. That didn’t work either.

And at this point Will is spiraling. Trying to figure out what he did wrong.

He’s blaming himself. Projecting onto me that I blame him. Even though honestly, I didn’t.

Because I knew exactly what this was.

This had Uranus written all over it.

Unexpected. Abrupt turn of events.

Add Mercury to that and suddenly we’ve got a tech glitch.

We were literally within minutes of the exact Mercury-Uranus conjunction in Gemini. And those two planets together move FAST.

Because Mercury in Gemini is fast already. Mercury loves Gemini. Ideas move quickly there. Communication moves quickly there. Thoughts connect quickly there.

And Uranus? Uranus is like the lightning bolt. The sudden realization. The genius insight. The thing that arrives out of nowhere.

So together? This energy can feel electric. Like things are finally clicking. But it also can feel like your brain is moving faster than real life can keep up with.

It’s brilliance, but with a side of chaos.

And honestly, the whole weekend felt a little wild. Electric.

Even at soccer.

And at this point, I’ve seen a lot on the soccer field. As the mom of a goalkeeper, not much really surprises me anymore.

But this weekend? Cleats to the face? That was new. And shocking.

Poor Will literally collided foot to face with a kid from the other team trying to score while he was defending the goal.

He’s okay. But he literally has cleat marks bruised onto his face right now.

And it happened so fast.

It was disruptive. Chaotic.

Trainers and coaches running onto the field trying to make sure he didn’t have a concussion or a broken jaw.

Very Uranus.

Sudden. A little jarring. And impossible to ignore.

But on the other side of all this chaos was brilliance.

All weekend, especially Sunday, I was also having genuinely amazing ideas.

Coming in quick. Like lightning.

Sudden clarity.

Little things that had been weighing on me suddenly clicked.

For example, I finally figured out how I wanted my email signature to look.

Which I realize sounds ridiculous.

But honestly? This had been weighing on me for awhile.

I’ve wanted to start reaching out to other astrologers to collaborate, and I hadn’t yet because I wanted my branding to feel right first.

And I could NOT decide how I wanted it to look.

And I know you guys are probably thinking, “Alisa… it’s an email signature.”

And yes. I know.

It’s just… I’ve had a vision. But I couldn’t execute on it.

And suddenly Mercury crashes into Uranus in Gemini and boom.

I figured it out.

Asked Kevin to help me with all his tech tricks, and we set the whole thing up. Done.

And now I can move forward.

And honestly? All this pretty much sums up this whole energy.

Brilliance with a side of chaos.

And I’ve also learned to choose carefully when I point out astrology in real life.

Because I think Will would have absolutely lost his mind if I had looked at him in the Subway parking lot and said, “Well… you know… Uranus.”

Now the interesting thing is that this energy really isn’t letting up yet.

Tonight the Sun moves into Gemini to join Mercury and Uranus.

So the spotlight stays right here.

On movement. Ideas. Communication. Nervous system buzz. Unexpected twists.

So my advice?

Keep a notes app nearby. A notebook nearby.

Capture the ideas that arrive this week.

Because some of them might actually be brilliant.

But also?

Double check your Subway order.

And as another exciting expression of Uranus disrupting routines, this weekend I’m heading to Seattle for NORWAC — the Northwest Astrological Conference.

And I’m so excited.

I get to learn from some incredible astrologers. Austin Coppock. Stephen Forrest. Adam Elenbaas. Demetra George. Rebecca Gordon. Rick Levine. And so many more amazing teachers.

I’m even taking a medical astrology class with Judith Hill, which I cannot wait for.

And after that, I’m traveling with my family for vacation.

So next week I’m actually going to replay an older episode that many of you may not have heard before.

I’m going to unplug a little.

The school year is ending. Summer is beginning. And we’re off!

But I cannot wait to come back and share everything I learn with all of you.

And if by chance any of you are going to NORWAC too, please let me know. I would absolutely love to meet you.

As always, I love and appreciate you all.

Thank you so much for listening.

Take care, and I’ll see you next time.
