 📍 Astrology isn't just about signs and symbols, it's a tool for navigating real life. Hello and welcome to Astrology with Alisa. I'm your host Alisa Dixon, and I'm so glad you're here. Let's dive in. Well, how's everyone doing after last week's full moon in Aquarius? I don't know about you all, but I felt like something cracked right open in me. This was a powerful full moon because like any full moon, the Sun and the Moon were opposite each other, but this time neither was alone in the sky. The Moon was sitting right next to Pluto in Aquarius, and the Sun was exactly conjunct Jupiter in Leo. And this full moon put a spotlight not only on the Jupiter-Pluto opposition from a week earlier, but this full moon also zoomed out, hello, Aquarius, known for zooming out, to illuminate a bigger story we've been living for the last few years in the Leo and Aquarius parts of our charts. And I think if we really pay attention to what came up, this full moon showed us a new path forward. Okay, so let's rewind and set the stage here. Over the last few years, we've had all the personal planets retrograde through Leo. First Venus, then Mars, then Mercury, and one by one, they were helping us rediscover something about who we are, what we love, and what we want. And one by one, as they moved through Leo, they were met with an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius. Now, Pluto has been quietly working beneath the surface in Aquarius for some time now, and Pluto represents the deepest layers of our psyche, the things we don't always talk about, the things we bury. Sometimes that's fear, sometimes it's control, sometimes it's the story we've been telling ourselves about why we can't do something, or where we may have been editing ourselves out of fear or pressure or what we think other people expect from us. And as Venus, Mars, and Mercury all opposed Pluto, even though they had just helped us uncover new ways to live, to love, and to embody the most authentic and joyful version of ourselves, suddenly there was doubt and discomfort, and the questions came up. Can I really be who I want to be? Can I really do the thing I want to do? Because Leo energy is about standing tall and shining as your true self, and Aquarius is about the group, the community, the others And Pluto in Aquarius casts doubt. What will everyone think? Will they criticize me? Will they still like me? Can I really be the person I truly want to be? So throughout all of this, this whole ongoing story we've been living, there has been this push/pull, this pressure to find balance between blending into a group versus following our heart's desire. Well, now Jupiter has entered this conversation. And sometimes I like to imagine Jupiter as Santa Claus. Jupiter, regardless of what sign he's in, is so positive and uplifting and expansive. And in Leo, Jupiter is just larger than life, joyful, exuberant, generous, our biggest hype man. So when it was Jupiter's turn to oppose Pluto just about a week before this full moon in Aquarius, I like to think that Jupiter just threw his head back and laughed so hard at Pluto and said to all of us, " what are you, crazy? Just stop. Stop giving those thoughts so much power. Be yourself and be proud. You're afraid of what others will think? You're afraid you can't do that thing you wanna do? You're afraid you'll put yourself out there and it won't go well? No, no, no, no, no. Let's be bigger than that. Let's be brave, and let's be happy." And you guys, this is just the beginning. Jupiter just got into Leo. He is going to radiate from there for 12 months, bringing us this kind of confidence, this swagger, this belief that we can follow our heart's desire and live joyfully as ourselves, who we want to be, what we want to do, no excuses, no apologies, just owning it, and shining as only we can shine And if that's not enough, the lunar nodes also just moved into Leo and Aquarius, which means that for the next 18 months, this is where eclipses will be. In fact, this Aquarius full moon was the last lunation before the eclipses. So we're officially in eclipse season now, a time when change and growth is accelerated. Ready or not, it's time to ride the wave, to try not to force or resist anything, to roll with whatever comes up, to trust that the universe will catch us if we fall, and to trust the timing that whatever happens is truly right on time for where you're meant to be. But before we really settle into eclipse season, before life starts moving us in new directions, let's really reflect on last week's full moon in Aquarius. Because full moons bring something into the light. They make something visible that maybe we couldn't quite see before. And I think for many of us, that illumination had something to do with fear. Not in the obvious sense, not life or death fear, but the quieter kind that sits beneath the surface. The fear of being judged or trying something new or letting people see who we really are. Maybe that full moon showed you exactly where you've been holding yourself back. And maybe now, with Jupiter's support bringing you an extra dose of confidence and optimism, maybe you can finally see a path forward to take that next step, to live and embody who you are and what you want to do. For me, this really hit home. I truly felt like something cracked open in me. It suddenly became so clear where I've been holding myself back, and just becoming aware of it made it possible to take the first steps towards changing that mindset. So here's one small example. When I was at NORWAC, I met a lot of amazing people. One of them was Colin Bedell of Queer Cosmos, and apparently my entire relationship with Colin seems to be built around him encouraging me to take risks and try new things. When I was at NORWAC, I recorded an impromptu conversation with Colin and Sky Barclay. I shared that episode here a couple months ago, and I'll link it again in the show notes if you missed it. But that was the first time I'd ever recorded an in-person interview at a conference where I barely knew anyone, and honestly, I was really nervous, really intimidated. But he was like, "Well, yeah. Let's just do it. You wanna do it? Let's do it. Aries woman, let's do it." That's what he said, and it ended up being a true highlight of the whole weekend. So then last week, I happened to be listening to Colin, who was a guest on an Aquarius full moon webinar with Celeste Brooks and Dabney Lawless, and all three of them shared incredible insights around the full moon, the lunar nodes, and everything happening in the sky right now. But one thing Colin said stood out to me. He said, "Just have the courage to create, regardless of criticism. Just create anyway." And I don't know, something about hearing those words at that moment, under the full moon, with Jupiter opposing Pluto, it was exactly what I needed to hear. And I reached out to Colin, and I told him that he had inspired me to take action on my next creative project that was a little intimidating to me, and I wanted him to be part of it. And in this message I sent him, I literally texted him the words, "I am being brave." And as I sat with that, I realized that's exactly what Jupiter in Leo is asking of all of us. Not to become someone else, but to have the courage to become more fully ourselves. To stop worrying so much about what everyone else might think, and start living from the heart. So whatever your version of I'm being brave looks like, I hope you do it, because I have a feeling that's exactly what this next year is all about. Maybe your brave thing is starting the business. Maybe it's sharing your art. Maybe it's having the difficult conversation. Maybe it's finally saying yes to the thing you've been talking yourself out of. Whatever it is, do it anyway. Create anyway. Love anyway. Lead anyway. Be yourself anyway.
