If you've ever looked around at your life at the success, the image, all the beautiful material things, and you still felt like something is missing, then this is for you. The one who's done everything right, the one who has always held it together, the one who's been the strong one, the capable one. And yet some part of you knows that you are functioning, but you're not feeling you're disconnected. Something feels off, you're unfulfilled. It's not a lack of gratitude, but it is burnout and it is a slow erosion of self that happens when your life is built around proving, performing, and keeping it all together. In this episode, we're breaking the silence around the hidden cost of being the woman who never falls apart. Now, here's your host, Lisa Gar. Let's talk about what no one else is willing to say, especially to the woman who has it all. I had success and I felt absolutely nothing, and that really scared me. I was numb and disconnected. I did what society told me to do to strive for the title for the nice house, the cars, the nice clothes, but something was off and I was unfulfilled and I blamed myself for a very long time. I thought, what's wrong with me? I'm so ungrateful and I feel and see that. In my experience, that is what we're taught, that if you have it all, you have no right to complain. And what I've seen is those quote unquote women who have it all. They have no right to complain. I can't tell you how many times I've seen or heard other women criticize other women who let's say, live in such a nice house or they have money. It's almost like, oh, because you have money, you have no right to complain. You have no right to suffer, but we're all human and we have. Struggles. We have pain and suffering regardless of how much money you have in the bank account. And that makes me sad, especially when I see other people not supporting other people and judging them based on what their life looks like. Now, understand this, I. Numbness is a survival pattern. It's not weakness. Your body will choose shutting down over shattering. And as a single parent, I definitely felt this. I felt I had no choice to feel that I had to just power through because I was the only one my daughter had to rely on, and I didn't have the choice I believed. Which was a false belief to feel, to show my emotions, and I had to just keep going. That is true survival mode, but also choosing to really be numb. That was my wiring, and I want you to know you're not weak. You're waking up inside a system that taught you to perform instead of to feel, and that's what we need to recognize to be the quote unquote strong one is glorified. It's like, wow, look at her. She could keep going. I was brought up in a culture where crying is a sign of weakness you have no right to feel sorry for yourself. You have no right to complain, but what I realize is you should never not validate your feelings regardless. People feel grief. In different degrees, people experience sadness in different degrees. I mean, look at the celebrities who unfortunately choose to leave this earth. You look at them and think, well, wow, they have it all. They had all the money. Money does not solve everything. Sure they might not worry how to pay their bills. Big deal. But that doesn't mean that they're not suffering inside, that there's not something that they're facing in challenges. It's almost like people in society feel like if you're rich, like what? You're not human, and you have no right to feel. I do see this and I hear comments all the time, and it really is sad, I feel, where has our compassion gone? And for the high achieving woman, we've normalized how to disconnect. We've trained ourselves to look polished while feeling nothing. And that's not mastery, that's suppression. And when your nervous system is in constant hyper vigilance where you're proving. You're pleasing, protecting. You eventually learn to detach. You stay productive, but you stop being present. And that's not ambition anymore. That's trauma in a business suit. I recall so many times looking back where my daughter would be talking to me and I would get a business phone call and I immediately would answer it, and I could sense. Her sadness and after the call, I would explain to her, Jada, I had to take that call. It was a work call, but looking back, I didn't have to take it. I just didn't know how to detach. In my mind it was the right thing to do and I felt, oh, she will understand when she's older that there are sacrifices to be made. And that's another false story that I learned is in order to be successful, you have to sacrifice your family, and that is so not true. You could be successful and still be present with your family. What I was not taught and told to do was really define what success means to you. I realize now being a multimillionaire does not define success for me at all. What defines success for me is being present with my family, to be able to travel when I want to see my family, to be able to take my dog on a walk in the afternoon, to be able to give myself a day off if I feel I need it. To me, that's success. But society teaches you. Success is all about the material things, and that needs to change. So I would strongly suggest if you haven't done that already, really determine what success does look and feel like for you, because almost all the time, it is not about the money. Now you may. Have convinced yourself it is. But I'm telling you, most of the people I've met that have money and are extremely successful and multimillionaires are secretly suffering inside and they're crying because they feel so disconnected. And what I'm seeing now, especially what's happening in our world, is people are really looking. At the deeper meaning of things and looking at how did we get here? They're looking at building a stronger faith or a stronger connection with themselves. So really, if you haven't done this already, I feel it's very important you do this because otherwise you get on this hamster wheel like I was, I never knew when enough was enough. So I just kept going for more, for more, for more, for more. In fact, there was a book I read that also had me sit down to see how much money do I really need? And I thought I needed a lot of money because, the more the better. But in reality. I realized that what I need to feel successful and have a good life was much less than I thought. And so this helped me be able to realign my life and to have more freedom. 'cause ultimately that is what I wanted. I wanted more money because what I truly was seeking was freedom. Like I mentioned before, the freedom to travel when I wanted the freedom to take off when I wanted. So really looking at what is most important to you and what's your end goal, because otherwise you're gonna keep going and going and going for more and never stopping, and there is a hidden cost to all this. Because if you're not careful, you can manifest truth from a false self. If you're building from your performance, you're going to keep attracting more pressure. And when you disconnect from your body, you disconnect from your God signal, from source, from your higher self, from your higher power, whatever you believe in. You will become disconnected and not be able to hear your truth and you will continue to live out of alignment. Now, you might look calm, but inside your system is running on emergency mode 24 7 and you cannot hear spirit when there is chaos. You can't feel peace when your body is still bracing for impact, bracing for the fear of what's next being in survival mode. Now you can shift slowly and you don't have to blow up your life immediately. It is scary, and especially like me, who was in such survival mode and created this whole identity. Lisa was the boss lady, this high powered corporate executive. It is an identity shift and. It's scary when you don't know what she looks like and you don't know what your life is gonna look like and your nervous system and your ego is there to protect you. So it knows how this high functioning woman who's always been in survival mode, it's familiar with that. It doesn't know good or bad. It's a frequency, an energetic frequency. It is comfortable with. So when you start shifting, it might feel uncomfortable in your body. It might feel uncomfortable to your nervous system because it's the fear of the unknown. You don't know what this version looks like. It's scary. So just take a small step and just start, I love using the word, getting curious of what does this version look like? What does this version feel like? Because the reclamation starts when you stop pretending that everything's fine and you don't need a plan right now. It can simply be just having a moment of silence, of really connecting with you and your heart and asking yourself, what do you need? Not, oh, I need to answer all these emails. I need to do this today. No, what do you need? And it could simply be, I just need. A breath right now, and there will come a moment where surface tools stop working. That's what I learned when I was high functioning. I was saying all my affirmations. I was listening to podcasts for self-help mindset, but I realized I was performing that also. I wasn't embodying anything. It was just like another task, like, look at me. I am listening to. The Self-Help podcast, I'm doing my affirmations, but nothing changed at all. And when you realize you don't need more strategy, what you really need is reconnection and something that truly works. That's why I created my three week audio journey for this exact moment, because I personally got tired of trying to piece together. My healing, I was running around from practitioner to practitioner, trying to figure it out. I didn't want all these apps. I had all these apps, one for breathing, one for mindset. I didn't have time for a 10 step ritual. I needed something that was efficient but was potent. And so I couldn't find it, so I created it and built it myself using everything I know as a master energy healer as well, and studying neuroscience and using, subconscious reprogramming. I mastered all of these and created something that would fit in someone's life and not overwhelm it. So how it works. Because listen, our mind, especially if you're a high functioning woman, we are stubborn and we have a very strong mindset and brain. We need to start reprogramming that brain. So we need to bypass the conscious mind. These sound frequencies will rewire outdated patterns. It has nervous system retraining, so your system starts responding differently automatically. This is passive rewiring. While you are on the move, you are not meant to focus on it. Think of it as white noise. Again, because I'm all about efficiency as a human design projector. I'm a master in efficiency and things that are potent and work. Also, you'll get one 20 to 30 minute voice activation per week that I created for when you want to drop in deeper. It includes hypnosis to open your subconscious reiki energy work to clear stagnation out of the body and regulate your field and quantum entanglement, which just means you're synching with the version of you who already lives this truth and letting her pull you back into alignment.
