Hello welcome to episode 3 of The Meta ads quick tips podcast I'm Stacy covitz a meta ad strategist and it's my mission to make sense of Facebook and Facebook ads because honestly they don't make it easy so today's episode is all about the Facebook pixel or the metapixel whatever it's called whatever you know it by- and a pixel is just a piece of code and the reason why you need to know about it is because in order to do ads you will want to have your pixel your code setup or installed on your website your landing page thing that you are wanting your future clients or customers to see land on and track not and when I say track we're not tracking you're not going to get a report of who these people are let's just make that clear so it is it does sound creepy but it's not as creepy as that so your pixel is a piece of code you put on your website and when people land on the website it will fire and by fire I just mean it will keep a tally let's say and then you eventually will have a lot of tallys and Facebook is getting smart every time someone lands there the algorithm is saying or learning what kind of people are landing on this page are they women are they over 50 are they you know teenagers are they consumers or are they business owners and the pixel and meta is actually learning and when you decide or if you're ready now to start running ads your pixel already has all of that data it starts Gathering data the day that you install it so my advice to all business owners is put your pixel on your website today it needs to be on there because it will go back so you're not ready but Stacy I'm not ready to run ads I just started that's fine you don't have to be ready to run ads to make sure that you're setting yourself up for Success if and when you do decide because it's going to start tracking today and let's say in 4 months you are wanting to run at you could go back and gather all of that data that meta has been tracking and creating use that data to Target all of those people that have landed on your website already because if they've already landed on your website they've already got a little bit of Interest right you would call that a warmly summary today's episode get your pixel on your website if you have any questions about that about this feel free to reach out in the meantime I will see you on the next episode thanks for listening woohoo you made it to the end I hope you found this informative and that you can go use something that you learned in your business make sure you check out the show notes for all the goodies and resources you could learn more about meta ads thank you so much for listening and I'll see you next time
