The Nephilim Hunter

The Nephilim Hunter - Season 1: Episode 1 - "Should've Stayed In Tucson."

Underwood Press Season 1 Episode 1

The Nephilim Hunter

Episode 1:
Rufus Hardy, Fishcop.  After twenty-seven years working for the Department of Fish and Game, he’s ready to collect on his pension.  But, the universe, it seems, has other plans for him.

Opening:
The Olympic National Park hosts 4 different temperate rainforests.  Each one is dense.  Each one is dark.  Each one hosts old growth trees dating back a thousand years.

Now, they host something even older - - and darker.

The only thing unusual about this day is the arrival of Officer Joe Simmons, a recent transplant from the Tucson, AZ P.D.  He’s come to this idyllic, most remote, Northwest corner of the United States to, “get away from the heat, the dust storms, the 9000 degree heat - - and the gangs,” of Arizona.

He should have stayed in Tucson.

Highlights:
On a routine check of an out-of-bounds campfire, Officer Rufus Hardy and his new partner, Joe Simmons, walk into a situation they are completely unprepared for.  What they encounter is not included in the Fish and Game training manual.  What they encounter is -- The Nephilim.

There are 3 things you can count on as a Ranger in the Olympic National Forest - - Rain, rain, and more rain.  12 feet of rain per-year on the west side of the Olympic Mountains.  But, that’s just the average.  (Oh, and maybe the occasional Starbucks coffee.  Maybe, meaning  the closest Starbucks is over 40 miles away).  The Olympic National Park hosts 4 different temperate rainforests.  Each one is dense.  Each one is dark.  Each one hosts old growth trees dating back a thousand years.

Conclusion

The grisly discovery Hardy and Simmons find in Episode 1 is just their first.  But, it’s not The First.  Episode 2, coming very soon, unravels more about this Nephilim, its 40 year killing cycle, and the axe-wielding Hunter assigned to destroy it.
